Just Askin’
I was never aware that “African” was a race. I thought it was a continent, made up of different countries, with people of all different races (colors). Now, I’ve never been big on the birther stuff. I’ve never believed the man was qualified, no matter where he was born, and still don’t. I’ve always been more curious about all those records he refuses to release.
Did Hawaii really consider African a race? If so, the I’d have to say the education system back in the 50s and 60s was sorely lacking. Even I knew, waaaaaay back when, that African wasn’t a race.
And why does the left hand lower corner, above the signature, look slightly bend, when the paper beneath it looks totally flat? Hey…not saying it’s a fake or anything, I’m just asking questions.

Anti-terrorism legislation that critics say unfairly targets followers of Islam survived a pair of important votes in the legislature Tuesday, moving closer to becoming law despite opposition from Muslim and civil liberties groups.

Have You Seen This?
Check out some of the absurd questions they want you to answer when applying for a passport? I couldn’t answer 90% of these question. I don’t know what my mother’s address was before I was born. Do they mean my biological mother, or my adoptive mother? I don’t the answer for either one. Who was present at my birth? How the hell would I know? I was a little pre-occupied at the time, being born! And if I wasn’t, I seriously doubt I’d remember! Do they want my biological siblings, or my adoptive siblings? What type of religious ceremonies?
NONE OF THIS IS ANY OF THEIR BUSINESS!

ACLU claims Sumner schools endorsed Christianity
A complaint made by American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee on behalf of three Sumner County families accuses the Sumner County Board of Education of promoting Christianity and violating the U.S. Constitution.
And, once again, the ACLU is wrong.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
I don’t know why, but there have been so many who have twisted this one sentence, this First Amendment to the Bill of Rights, to suit their own purposes. For a much better understanding of the clause, I’d point the ACLU, and anyone else who has problems with reading comprehension to Publius Hudlah, who has a wonderful knack of putting things in plain English, even the ACLU should be able to understand.
What is an “established religion”? I will show you how judges on the supreme Court changed the historical definition of that term so that they could eradicate the Christian religion from our public square and eliminate speech they don’t like. We will begin by finding out what “establishment of religion” actually meant when the Constitution was ratified. To do so, we must consult English history, American colonial history, and writings of our Founders.
There is a great deal of information, and should be read thoroughly for a better understanding. It is CONGRESS that is restricted from establishing any state religion. Not the communities, not the schools, no one but Congress does NOT have the right.
Way too many people these days have been convinced, through various means, that the Constitution give powers to the government. Quite the contrary. The document explicitly restricts such powers. Although, you couldn’t tell it by today’s congress! They truly have overstepped their bounds, and have violated that most important document, on a regular basis.
After reading this article, I have come to the conclusion that there are some parents who do not want their children to learn moral behavior. To me, that’s not only sad, but criminal. Perhaps those parents should take a gander through that Book they are so afraid of….they might actually learn something.
Destroying The Dream of America
Is the Age of America Coming to An End?
The Foundry
A dire prediction hit the news yesterday: A date has been set for the end of the “Age of America,” — i.e., when China’s economy will overtake the United States. The news comes by way of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecast that shows China’s economy surpassing America’s by 2016. Though there are reasons to question the IMF’s conclusions, it is true that if the U.S. does not get its fiscal house in order, the era of American leadership will be over.

Gold Hits New Record as Dollar Expected to Tumble
Gold hit another record in trading on Monday as the dollar is expected to tumble against other currencies, CNBC reports.
Gold hit $1,517.71 an ounce, before easing to $1,515.65, up 0.8 percent, says CNBC. U.S. gold futures also rose to an all-time high, at $1,518.6 an ounce.
Booming silver prices are also accompanying rising gold, and have actually outpaced gold numbers.
“Silver prices have climbed nearly 60 percent so far this year, after jumping more than 80 percent in 2010, outpacing gold’s 7 percent rise and the 10-percent gain in the 19-commodity Reuters-Jefferies CRB index,” reports CNBC.

Is The TN GOP Supporting Voter Fraud?
GOP moves to repeal TN paper ballot law
A plan to require paper ballots in next year’s elections is on the verge of being repealed, the latest in a series of actions taken by Republicans in the state legislature to rewrite Tennessee election laws.
State representatives are trying to reverse most of a 2008 law that called for the replacement of electronic voting machines across the state with paper ballots read by computerized scanners. The move would kill off a plan that supporters say would create a verifiable record of votes but opponents say will be costly and open to tampering.
Now, I am thoroughly confused. And I read the entire article….TWICE. Electronic voting can be manipulated. Paper ballots can be ‘found’, days later. Perhaps they are only thinking of the costs in terms of money. But the cost of fraud goes far beyond dollars and cents.
Our voices should be heard at the ballot box, yet there have been many examples of fraud in both paper and electronic ballots. Would the viable choice be an electronic vote, with a back up print out? Keep the two separate. If there is a dispute, from one or the other, then you have a back up of who the vote actually went to. If the vote is for candidate A on the electronic ballot, but the paper ballot has candidate B, and visa versa, then that vote is tossed.
I find it quite disturbing that any of the GOP in Nashville are stumbling on this issue at a time when many are starting to feel their vote doesn’t count, and it’s all predestined.

Uncontrolled Spending Is the Real Threat
The Foundry
All across Western Europe—the land of platinum-plated social benefits, the 35-hour work week, tony retirement plans and government-funded health care—countries are coming to the realization that they can no longer afford these luxuries amid skyrocketing deficits. Yet here in the United States, as we face a $14.3 trillion deficit, some are calling for increasing our government’s ability to borrow even more money without any concern for spending reform. Congress can’t allow that to happen, lest we become the Europe of the West.
The U.S. government is fast approaching its $14.294 trillion debt ceiling — the statutory limit on how much money it can borrow to finance spending. Just how big is that? To put it in perspective, it would take essentially everything that Americans produced in all of last year to pay off the existing national debt. That comes out to $45,000 of debt for each American.

He Is Risen
Matthew 28
1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
