Behind The Bias – The History of Liberal Media

23 April 2011, 2:35 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Feckless Weasels, Politics, video.

It’s the LEFT that needs to see this. We already know the main stream media is outrageously biased. These are just a very few examples of what we are fighting against. They could have made this a week long series, and still, would have barely scratched the surface.

The Dust Police

I came across something in an email recently that made me scratch my head….vigorously! My first thought…this must be some kind of mistake. No one with an ounce of common sense could possibly think they had a chance of regulating…………..DUST! Oh, but I was wrong. I finally got around to looking it up!

Unpaved rural roads are a source of pollution. Erosion of unpaved roadways occurs when soil particles are loosened and carried away from the roadway base, ditch, or road bank by water, wind, traffic, or other transport means. Exposed soils, high runoff velocities and volumes, sandy or silty soil types, and poor compaction increase the potential for erosion.

Loosened soil particles are carried from the road bed and into the roadway drainage system. Particles most often settle out where they diminish the carrying capacity of the ditch, and in turn cause roadway flooding, which subsequently leads to more roadway erosion. Most of the eroded soil, however, ultimately ends up in streams and rivers where it diminishes channel capacity, causing more frequent and severe flooding; destroys aquatic and riparian habitat; and has other adverse effects on water quality and water-related activities.

You city folk sure are funny!

American farmers have been ridiculing a proposal by U.S. regulators to reduce the amount of dust floating in rural air.

“If there’s ever been rural America, that’s what rural America is,” said Nebraska hog farmer Danny Kluthe. “You know? It’s dirt out here, and with dirt you’ve got dust.”

The Environmental Protection Agency is looking to tighten standards for the amount of harmful particles in the air, facing opposition from U.S. farming groups who call it an unrealistic attempt to regulate dust.

I’m sorry, but you just don’t control dust!  Well, unless you want to make it mud, and then it’s not dust anymore.   The complete lack of common sense within the EPA is nothing new, but I think even they have go completely over the deep end.  You have farms.  You have farm roads.  You have dirt.  Without dirt, you don’t have farms.  With no farms, there would be no need for a farm road, but you’d get mighty damn hungry!

If Congress is serious about cutting spending, the EPA should be one the first to go!  If you ever wonder why we never make any serious progress, on ANYTHING, you might want to take a real good look at the idiots who actually believe you can control DUST!

Gotta love this:

Environmental groups say these tiny elements could be harmful if not deadly for people, causing cardiovascular or respiratory problems.

More ignorant city folk! I wonder if they realize there has been dust ever since God separated the water from the dry land and called Earth! (Genesis 1:9-10)

But technically, EPA can’t use common sense if it clashes with science, as their assessments are required to be purely scientific and mindless of ramifications, said John Walke, clean air director at the National Resources Defense Council.

Well, technically, the EPA is full of idiots! Who truly believes you can’t mix science and common sense? Evidently, the environazis!

Especially At Easter, It’s Easy to Mock Jesus Christ But Don’t You Dare Mock Other Faiths
By Cal Thomas

Mocking Jesus of Nazareth is nothing new. Whether it is today’s Lady Gaga or a “Hunky Jesus” contest in San Francisco, Jesus has been the subject of ridicule by those who do not know Him.

Even on the day we call Good Friday, the day he hung on a cross for the sins of others (not His own, for He had none), He was ridiculed. “Come down from the cross and then we’ll believe,” some shouted. They wouldn’t have believed if He had, because they refused to believe all the other miracles He performed before their eyes.

John 19:40-42

40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Earth Day picnics around the world; Picnic for the Planet encourages people to eat off the land

A viral campaign to celebrate Earth Day will see about 500 communities hosting simultaneous picnics around the world.

In a gesture meant to reconnect people to the earth, Picnic for the Planet will see groups across Canada, the US, the UK, Colombia, France, Singapore, Romania and Mexico grab a patch of grass and eat, literally, off the land.

Reconnect people to the earth, eh? Well, I’ve been connected all my life. It’s called gravity. And FYI, I don’t eat grass. I might look like a cow, but I’m not!

Wouldn’t be be much wiser to reconnect with the Creator of the creation instead? I mean, after all, if He can create EVERYTHING, is it really a good idea to piss Him off by turning His creations into idols?

As of  1pm cst, the results of the associated poll:

John 19:23-30

22 April 2011, 9:34 am. Comments Off. Filed under Faith.

23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

John 19:16-22

22 April 2011, 9:15 am. Comments Off. Filed under Faith.

16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

Tell Us Something We Don’t Know :/

Tonight, on Fox (no lefties, not Faux….F….O….X), Sean Hannity will be airing a show about bias in the media, ‘Behind the Bias: The History of Liberal Media.’ at 9pm eastern, or in my time…8pm central.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter which media you get your ‘news’ from, there is ALWAYS a slant, mostly towards the left, but even occasionally to the right. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’d prefer my news filled with facts, and facts only. I can come to my own conclusions. Tell me who, what, when, where, how, and if the facts are there, I’ll take the why as well. But please, stop telling me just what you want me to know, quit hiding the facts just because YOU don’t happen to like them.

John 19:1-6

22 April 2011, 8:46 am. Comments Off. Filed under Faith.

1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!
6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

John 18:29-40

22 April 2011, 8:28 am. Comments Off. Filed under Faith.

29 Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?
30They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
32 That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

Imprisoning Faith – Silencing Good News

Religious Faith Is Still Good News for America
The Foundry

The year 2011 marks the 400th anniversary of the publication of the King James Bible. Leland Ryken, a scholar of Christian literature and the Puritans, describes this as one of the most important cultural developments in the history of the English-speaking world. In his new book The Legacy of the King James Bible, Ryken records its sweeping influence on our language, education, religion, and culture.

The King James Bible has been “the greatest vehicle of literacy in the English-speaking world,” by one account. Statesman Daniel Webster credited his famous oratory to its shaping: “If there be anything in my style or thoughts to be commended, the credit is due to my kind parents in instilling into my mind an early love of the Scriptures.”

For almost four hundred years, the King James Bible provided for England and America what Ryken, quoting a sociologist, calls “the mythology of a culture”: “the framework of beliefs, values, expressive symbols, and artistic motifs in terms of which individuals define their world, express their feelings, and make their judgments.”

That framework is no longer pervasive in America, much less England. Instead, recent decades have been marked by challenges to religious liberty in both nations, efforts that misconstrue the role of religion in the public square, and an increasing pluralism that makes it harder to achieve moral consensus on public policy.
