John 18:19-23

19 The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.
20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
21 Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.
22 And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?
23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?

Koran-Burning Pastor’s Gun Discharges Outside of Detroit TV Station

Police were called Thursday night after Koran-burning pastor Terry Jones accidentally discharged his firearm in the parking lot of a television station, where he had just conducted an interview, MyFoxDetroit.com reported.

“Pastor Terry Jones just discharged his firearm in our parking lot,” myFOXdetroit.com announced on its Facebook page.

“He claims it was fired by accident. The shot went into the floorboard of his car. No one was hurt. Police on scene.”

By reading the headline, you’d think that’s all the article is about, an idiot who “accidentally” discharged his weapon while sitting in his vehicle. The problem is…the bigger story isn’t hinted at in the headline.

Here is the REAL story:

The Florida pastor plans to hold a demonstration in Detroit on Friday outside the biggest mosque in the United States to protest Islamic law.

He faces a jury trial Friday morning to decide if the rally can go ahead.

A jury trial? For a demonstration? Seriously? Do other groups have to have a jury trial when they want to exercise their 1st Amendment rights?

Earlier Thursday, a judge ordered Jones to pay what is known as a “peace bond,” for his planned Good Friday protest of the Islamic Center of America.

Prosecutors sought up to $100,000 in fees from Jones for extra police in fear of a riot.

But why should they fear a riot? I mean, the guy is a whack job, evidently looking for attention, but really? A riot? I wonder why anyone would think such a thing would happen?

After a half hour of instructions from 19th District Judge Mark Somers explaining the complaint against them, Jones and his assistant, Wayne Sapp, said they understood the charges and then declined legal counsel.

Both men were called into court to answer questions from the prosecutor, who accused them of planning to disturb the peace, and take part in ethnic intimidation by holding a demonstration.

I’m a little confused. Were these men arrested, BEFORE they had done anything? If not, why read charges? I didn’t think anyone could be arrested for something they MIGHT do. Is it Jones’ intent to start a riot? Even so, he hasn’t yet, has he? I wonder if the New Black Panthers had a jury trial, or have to pay a large amount of money to hold their event in 60 cities across the country?  Or, does this only occur when someone is planning a protest in front of a mosque?

Jones, head of Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., drew world attention last month when his congregation staged a “trial” of Islam’s holy book that culminated in setting a copy of the Koran ablaze. News of the event incited riots in Afghanistan and an attack on a United Nations facility there that killed seven people.

If we’re going to be honest, and we always should, he didn’t actually ‘incite’ the riots in Afghanistan. I never even heard about the burning until AFTER the violence started. The blame for such actions should be placed squarely on the shoulders who did the act. Only THEY are responsible for their actions. If those actions are evil, which they are, then shouldn’t the condemnation be of the perpetrators? And who were these mad animals who should be shot down like dogs? Those who attend mosques.

He also sparked outrage when he announced plans by his church to burn copies of the Koran last year to the mark the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the U.S. He later abandoned the plans.

Do I think it’s ok to burn someone else’s ‘holy book’? I don’t see the point personally. Would I riot, destroy, or murder people if someone burned a copy of the Bible (they do, you know)? No. I wouldn’t. It’s not the thing itself that governs my life. It’s the Words printed within that guides my actions.  If there are those who are so insecure about their book, perhaps they should take a good hard look at what is in that book, and reconsider their faith in the object.

4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?
5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

A Gas Price Czar?

Obama says new task force will examine gas prices

President Barack Obama said Thursday that the Justice Department will try to “root out” cases of fraud or manipulation in oil markets, even as Attorney General Eric Holder suggested a variety of legal reasons may be behind gasoline’s surge to $4 a gallon.

I’d say most 5th graders wouldn’t need a freakin’ committee to figure out just what is causing the dramatic jump at the pump. But then, these yahoos AREN’T as smart as your average 5th grader.

“We are going to make sure that no one is taking advantage of the American people for their own short-term gain,” Obama said at a town-hall-style meeting at a renewable energy plant in Reno.

One name jumps to the forefront when talking about taking ‘advantage of the American people’….Barack Hussein Obama!

The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $3.84 on Thursday, about 30 cents higher than a month ago and almost a dollar higher than a year ago.

Shouldn’t someone mention the price has more than doubled since Obama took office?  On 3 Nov 2008, the average price per gallon was $1.72.  In December of the same year, the average was about $1.42.   Just an FYI.

Obama, decrying such levels as yet another hardship “at a time when things were already pretty tough,” said Holder was forming the Financial Fraud Enforcement Working Group.

The U.S. is…or maybe it WAS….the third highest oil producing nation in the world, behind Russia and Saudi Arabia. The ONLY reason we are having this ‘hardship’ is because someone wants it. Our oil production has not increased, and Mr Obama has claimed. It has actually dropped 13%. Speculators are doing what speculators do….they speculate. And since this administration REFUSES to allow us to drill in our own country, speculation says that our oil production will continue to drop, and prices will go up. Of course, the administration has NO problem allowing OTHER COUNTRIES to drill in OUR back yard.

“Nonetheless, where consumers are harmed by unlawful conduct that has the effect of increasing gas prices, state and federal authorities will take swift action,” Holder said.

Then, Mr Holder, I would suggest you issue arrest warrants for yourself, your boss, and a rather large number of this administration.

Has the mess in the Middle East had an effect?  Unfortunately, yes, because instead of developing the resources we have available, there are those who would prefer we deal with regimes that support terrorism, than be self sufficient.   Thank you environazis!  So now, we’ll be stuck with ANOTHER Obama created government entity.

John 17:9-17

9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Get A Dictionary

Almost 10 Years After 9/11, U.N. Still Grappling to Define Terrorism

As the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks approaches, the United Nations is no closer to reaching a universal definition of terrorism than it was in 2001 – or indeed than it was five years before then, when negotiations first began on drafting a comprehensive convention on international terrorism.

Seriously? They can’t figure it out? I should be surprised, but I’m not. When it comes to United Nations ‘intellectuals’, I’ve found a large number of them to be none too bright.

The main hurdle, then as now, is the insistence by the bloc of Islamic states that any definition of terrorism should leave a loophole for “resistance” against foreign occupation.

That would be one of those “one man’s terrorist, is another man’s freedom fighter” things, wouldn’t it?

In order to figure out what the OIC means, we should look at a couple of definitions. First, we have ‘resistance’.

re·sist·ance [ri-zis-tuh ns]

1. the act or power of resisting, opposing, or withstanding.
2. the opposition offered by one thing, force, etc., to another.
3. Electricity .

a. Also called ohmic resistance. a property of a conductor by virtue of which the passage of current is opposed, causing electric energy to be transformed into heat: equal to the voltage across the conductor divided by the current flowing in the conductor: usually measured in ohms. Abbreviation: R
b. a conductor or coil offering such opposition; resistor.

4. Psychiatry . opposition to an attempt to bring repressed thoughts or feelings into consciousness.
5. (often initial capital letter) an underground organization composed of groups of private individuals working as an opposition force in a conquered country to overthrow the occupying power, usually by acts of sabotage, guerrilla warfare, etc.: the resistance during the German occupation in world War II.
6. Stock Exchange . resistance level.

No need to look at 3, 4, or 6, because honestly, I don’t think they are relevant at all.  So, what would the OIC bunch want to resist?  Fellow Muslims murdering on a regular basis?  Would it be the oppressive regimes they seem to prefer?  Doesn’t seem to bother them too much, even though, it would seem to be what normal people would want to resist.  Would it be some nice folks that came in and freed them from such previously mentioned oppressive regimes, saving the lives of many of thousands of human beings?

Now, let’s take a look at ‘occupation’.

oc·cu·pa·tion [ok-yuh-pey-shuhn]

1. a person’s usual or principal work or business, especially as a means of earning a living; vocation: Her occupation was dentistry.
2. any activity in which a person is engaged.
3. possession, settlement, or use of land or property.
4. the act of occupying.
5. the state of being occupied.
6. the seizure and control of an area by military forces, especially foreign territory.
7. the term of control of a territory by foreign military forces: Danish resistance during the German occupation.
8. tenure or the holding of an office or official function: during his occupation of the vice presidency.

I think we can rule out 1, 2, 4, 5, and 8 out of OIC’s reasoning. In my opinion, we could also leave out #3 as well, since the land was given to a people from the HIGHEST authority of all, and it’s not wise to dispute His word. But in that case, we should ignore 6 and 7 as well. The Highest authority gives you a land. You move home. The only reason there is so much military involved is because there are those who go out of their way to make your life a living hell, and tend to MURDER residents on a regular basis.

Honestly, if they’d just look up one more word, I think they could figure it all out.

ter·ror·ism [ter-uh-riz-uh m]

1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.
2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.

I wonder why the OIC is having such difficulty defining a terrorist?  There are some commonalities you know. Here’s a hint:  They are mostly Muslim males, between the ages of 18 and 40.  But hey…let’s not let the facts get in the way, right?

Bringin’ Back The U.S.S.R.!

Political Contributions by Contractors Targeted

The White House is drafting new rules that would require companies making bids on government contracts to disclose their contributions to political candidates and organizations, including donations that otherwise would remain secret.

Why is it any business of Obama & CO. who a person makes a political contribution to? It’s not. Plain and simple.

The White House casts the proposal as an effort to improve transparency and accountability, but Republicans charged that the rules would inject politics into what should be an unbiased procurement process.

“Transparency for thee, but not for me!”

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Wednesday that President Barack Obama “intends to pursue” the executive order, but said details have not yet been settled.

I really do believe we need to take away Obama’s crayons. He’s coloring all over the Constitution.

Reagan Democrats: ‘Tea Baggers’ or MSNBC Viewers?
by Ann Coulter

Among the most preposterous claims being made on MSNBC about the fight over public sector unions in Wisconsin is that Gov. Scott Walker and the Republicans are losing “Reagan Democrats” by taking on government employees.

The theory seems to have been concocted by Howard Fineman, editor at The Huffington Post, who said, back in February on Lawrence O’Donnell’s “The Last Word,” that the “whole idea of a Reagan Democrat” was that union families were voting for Reagan. But today, according to Fineman, they are shifting against Republicans because of Walker’s tough line on government unions. “That’s got to scare Republican strategists nationally,” he said.

Private sector unions are as similar to public sector unions as they are to gay civil unions.

Why Should We Follow The Law? They Don’t!

Obama snubs Issa on subpoena for ATF documents

For the first time since Republicans took control of the House and gained the power of congressional subpoena, the Obama administration has declined to comply with a subpoena issued by top GOP oversight official Rep. Darrell Issa.

In the face of a subpoena by Issa, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) provided no documents by the April 13 deadline, according to an April 20 letter from Issa to ATF’s director, Kenneth Melson.

Issa is threatening contempt proceedings if ATF does not comply.

At issue are documents related to Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast and Furions, in which ATF allowed American guns to be smuggled into Mexico and sold to Mexican drug cartels. The goal of the program was to track the illegal weapons and drug markets after they were used in crimes and abandoned using ballistics information and serial numbers for the guns.

A spokesman for ATF declined to comment about the matter saying, “we can’t respond to the media or anyone else until we respond to the chairman himself.”

Ok, so why aren’t you responding? Oh…wait a minute, I forgot….anyone associated with the D’Oblvious administration is above the law. None of them have to comply.  An administration full of criminals does not encourage trust.  :?   What lessons are their actions, or lack of, teaching children?  I mean, after all, everything they do, they tell us, is ‘for the chilllllruns’.  Ya know….I just don’t think they give a flip about kids, do you?  /sarcasm

Gulf Oil Spill, One Year Later
The Foundry

A year ago today, an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico cost the lives of 11 men and threatened untold damage to the ecosystem. It was an unprecedented disaster, and the tragic loss of life it entailed made it all the more imperative that such an accident never repeat itself.

In the immediate aftermath of the catastrophe, the disaster response proved heroic: The crew of a Tidewater supply vessel rescued the 115 survivors of the explosion in little more than an hour. But in the weeks and months that followed, crisis management proved significantly less adept. It took 87 days to cap the rig’s exposed oil well, which steadily spilled oil into the Gulf. And as The Wall Street Journal reports today, the effects of the Obama Administration’s response to the spill are more apparent now than ever, with offshore oil production down 13 percent and crude oil prices up 33 percent.

Aiding and Abetting Criminals

19 April 2011, 12:09 pm. 4 Comments. Filed under Crime, Feckless Weasels, Illegals, Opinion.

Arizona Sheriff Cites Flood of Border Agents Confirming Feds’ No-Apprehension Policy

An Arizona sheriff says he has been flooded with calls and emails of support from local and federal agents who back his claims that the U.S. Border Patrol has effectively ordered them to stop apprehending illegal immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexican border.

“Upper management has advised supervisors to have agents ‘turn back South’ (TBS) the illegal aliens (aka bodies) they detect attempting to unlawfully enter the country … at times you even hear supervisors order the agents over the radio to ‘TBS’ the aliens instead of catching them,” one San Diego border agent wrote in an email to Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever.

And from whom does ‘upper management’ get their marching orders?

“This only causes more problems as the aliens, as you know, don’t just go back to Mexico and give up. They keep trying, sometimes without 10 minutes in-between attempts, to cross illegally,” continued the email, which was among a number of communications to Dever reviewed by FoxNews.com. “This makes the job for agents more dangerous. Not only are the aliens more defiant, they also begin to feel like they can get away with breaking our federal laws.”

Does anyone wonder why we’re still being overrun by criminals? (A large number being elected to office, or appointed to positions of power.) They laugh at those of us who WANT to have our laws enforced, and vote Democrat! Illegally, of course.

FoxNews.com first reported this month that Dever said several Border Patrol officials, including at least one senior supervisor, told him they had been directed to keep the number of border apprehensions down by chasing illegal immigrants back toward Mexico. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has recently cited a reduction in border apprehensions as evidence of an increasingly secure border.

Lady, and I use the term loosely, you can LIE about your record, but it’s still a LIE! And contrary to what you yahoos up there in Swamp Land seem to believe, we’uns ain’t so stoopid after all! In the REAL world, a person who fails to do their job, then lies about doing it, gets fired! And you, Mzzzzzzzzz Napolitano, NEED to be FIRED! You have failed miserably. The patient is dying due, in part, to your incompetence, and that of your “boss”. But don’t forget, in reality, WE are your boss, and WE aren’t none too thrilled with your job performance!

Sadly, this incompetence has been going on a very long time, even before the Obama administration took over. The flood gates opened in the 80s, when, mistakenly, Ronald Reagan granted amnesty to about 3million illegals. Why, pray tell, has this been allowed to continue? Does NO ONE have the cajones to stand up and stop the invasion?
