The Unstimulated Obama Economy
The Foundry

Newsflash from The New York Times: President Barack Obama’s stimulus did not work. No, the Times doesn’t say that in so many words, but in an op-ed this morning, the paper laments the sputtering economy and the fact that Washington just isn’t doing enough to help the economy grow. The problem, of course, is that Washington has done too much of the wrong things to get the economy moving again.

Deadly Weapons of Math Instruction

31 May 2011, 8:12 am. 2 Comments. Filed under Just Cuz.

A public school teacher was arrested today at John F. Kennedy International airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass, a slide-rule and a calculator. At a morning press conference, Attorney General Eric Holder said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-Gebra movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction.

‘Al-Gebra is a problem for us’, the Attorney General said. ‘They derive solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values.’ They use secret code names like “X” and “Y” and refer to themselves as “unknowns” but we have determined that they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, “There are 3 sides to every triangle.“

When asked to comment on the arrest, President Obama said, “If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, he would have given us more fingers and toes.” White House aides told reporters they could not recall a more intelligent or profound statement by the President. It is believed that another Nobel Prize will follow.

The Weiner

Groups Target Thomas’ Wife’s Work to Force Him to Sit Out High Court Rulings on Health Care

And in an added tack to influence the court’s decision-making, one election watchdog has demanded an FBI probe of the justice over a 2010 campaign finance ruling.

The months-long efforts to target Thomas focus on his financial disclosure forms, of which amended versions were filed earlier this month and released publicly on Friday. In them, Thomas reveals that his wife, Ginni Thomas, received a salary in 2010 from Liberty Central, a group that she helped found and which supports the repeal of the health care law.

“We knew that Justice Thomas’ family had a financial stake in opposing health care reform. Now we know even more,” Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) said in a statement. “It’s pretty clear the justice has one option here: recusal.”

More ‘brilliance’, brought to you by Weiner’s weiner!  Y’know….there are a lot of obnoxious democrats, this guy just happens to be in the top 10.

While the Weiner is so busy being a racist (you know it’s only because of Thomas’ skin color, right?  /snark), shouldn’t he also be pointing fingers and demanding Elena Kagan recuse herself as well?  After all, there is a MUCH bigger conflict of interest in her case.

Contrary to what Mr Weiner might believe, conservative women are NOT controlled by their husbands.  If Mrs Thomas started a group opposing ObamaCare….one, it means she’s an extremely smart woman, and two, it means she is capable of thinking for herself.  In the same vein, conservative women do not control their husband’s thought processes.  While democrats might be ruled by feminazi spouses, conservative men are not.

Putting It Out There

31 May 2011, 4:07 am. 5 Comments. Filed under Blog Stuff.

This is my blog. I post what I want, when I want. I pay for it, it’s mine.  I have neither the time, nor the inclination to deal with other people’s childish pettiness.

Since August of last year, there have been a LOT of things going on on this side of the computer.  Just because there are some who don’t know what exactly we have been dealing with, and never took the time to find out, does not give them the right to insult me.  If some folks had pulled their head out of their asses and learn a few facts, then perhaps they wouldn’t be wasting my time, and theirs, by leaving snide remarks.  Such comments will not be moderated or posted.  They will be deleted.
