More Gutsy Calls From Obama!

Obama has been making “gutsy calls” all over the place! In full campaign mode, he’s been deploying his administrative agencies to do favors for his big contributors, to the detriment of ordinary Americans. Last week, Obama made the gutsy call to threaten public schools that are asking students for proof of residency. The memorandum warned school districts that it’s illegal to ask students for proof of citizenship or legal residency status. Obama’s wealthy donors need illegals so they can get cheap nannies, cooks and pool boys. On the other hand, illegals being paid off the books are not helping Americans find jobs.
According to a May 4, 2011, report from the (liberal) Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, 76 percent of “hard-pressed Democrats” — defined as “religious, financially struggling” — agree with the statement: “Immigrants today … are a burden on our country because they take our jobs, housing and health care.” As Kausfiles observes, maybe financially struggling Democrats believe immigrants “take our jobs” because, in fact, they do.

Mississippi Flooding: Worst Is Yet to Come
William Jefferson paddles slowly down his street in a small boat, past his house and around his church, both flooded from the bulging Mississippi River that has rolled into the Delta.
“Half my life is still in there,” he said, pointing to the small white house swamped by several feet of water. “I hate to see it when I go back in.”
The river was taking aim at one of the most poverty-stricken parts of the country after cresting Tuesday at Memphis, Tenn., just inches short of the record set in 1937. Some low-lying Memphis neighborhoods were inundated, but the city’s high levees protected much of the rest of Memphis.
They make it sound like the river is intentionally going after the poorer neighborhoods. The river doesn’t care if you are rich or poor. Sadly, we don’t seem to learn from other historic natural disasters. Floods, hurricanes, mudslides and earthquakes happen on a regular basis. Some way worse than others. Yet people will forget their house slid down the side of a mountain, or was washed away in a flood, and rebuild in the same place. It’s heartbreaking to see so many losing so much. However, things can be replaced, people can not.
Jefferson’s neighborhood in Vicksburg, a historic Mississippi city and the site of a pivotal Civil War battle, has been one of the hardest hit. Jefferson refuses to leave, so he spends his days in the sweltering sun watching the water rise and sleeping in a camper at an intersection that’s likely to flood soon, too.
“If you don’t stay with your stuff, you won’t have it,” he said. “This is what I do every day. Just watch the water.”
That one sentence says a great deal about our society, doesn’t it. Our neighbors can’t be trusted not to steal our possessions? Perhaps if we post the Ten Commandments in our classrooms again, people will start getting the message…. Thou Shalt Not Steal!
But the worst is yet to come, with the crest expected over the next few days. The damage in Memphis was estimated at more than $320 million as the serious flooding began, and an official tally won’t be available until the waters recede.
We can’t control nature. Sorry, it’s just not possible. Nature will win in the end. We can, however, make preparations for the worst that may, or may not happen. I’ve no doubt that the dollar amount will rise in the not too distant future. Can we also hope that there will be a minimum of fraud?
We can pray for the families affected by this natural disaster. We can pray that there is a minimum loss of life. We can be ready to help out our neighbors, as best we are able.

Liberals support, conservatives slam rapper’s White House invite
Poetry criticism is front-page news today, following The Daily Caller’s transcription of a rap-poem authored by the Chicago rapper Common, who has been invited by first lady Michelle Obama to help present poetry at a Wednesday event for students at the White House
The rapper’s 2007 rap, “A Letter to the Law,” talks of Uzi submachine guns, “the black strap to make the cops run,” and includes a call to “burn a Bush.”
The language and themes are very different from the lyrical poetry promoted in 2003 by then-first lady Laura Bush. Her planned White House reading of 19th century poets was derailed by protests from left-wing poets angered by President George W. Bush’s forced removal of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Let’s face it! Laura Bush has class. Michelle Obama does not. Most conservative have class. The majority of liberals do not! Promoting violence against anyone is totally classless. And liberals do a lot of promoting….from Hollyweird to Main Street.

The White House correspondents’ dinner might have been two weeks ago, but President Barack Obama continued his comedy routine yesterday in El Paso, Texas, only this time Donald Trump wasn’t the butt of the jokes. Instead, during a speech on immigration, the president mocked Republicans at large, the rule of law, and any American who takes the defense of our nation seriously.
Respectfully, Mr. President, illegal immigration and border security are no laughing matter.

Here’s a thought….how about using any profits to pay back the taxpayers? The government has NO business bailing out anyone, or anything with OUR money! They sure as hell have no business selling off shares to be used to pay off lawsuits and CEOs.

If we aren’t going to be fighting terror, pretty much on a permanent basis, until the terrorist stop, or are all dead, then wouldn’t we be declaring defeat? Oh yeah…the dems LIKE defeat of Americans. It’s in their nature to cut and run from the tough battles. I keep forgetting.

That oath…you know the one….’to protect and defend’? If you can’t do, please step away from the teleprompter, and let someone in there that CAN handle the job.
One way to solve the problem…..genocide. Yep, I’m talking about wiping them ALL off the face of the planet!
Wouldn’t it make a lot of sense if government workers had to save for their own retirement out of their paychecks? Just like folks had to do in the old days. The ONLY ones who should ever be given retirement benefits are our military! Seems to me this would solve a few problems with the unfunded, and underfunded liabilities.
Romney offering a health care proposal is kind of like me offering advice for exercise.
We can no longer trust judges on the bench to uphold the U.S. Constitution if they stack the deck. Obamacare IS unconstitutional!
Since this administration is basically inviting terrorists, and potential terrorists into our homes, yeah….I’d say the lone wolf types will be a major problem in the future.
If a big one does hit Rome, I don’t think closing shops and wearing hardhats are going to make a whole lot of difference. 
The constant putting off of executions does more harm than any good. A conviction and 2 years, MAX….the pull the trigger, plunger, switch….whatever! THESE people need to get a serious clue! Obviously, they’ve decided that God’s law doesn’t apply when it comes to their ‘social justice’ nonsense. Well, ridding the world of a murderer IS justice for society.
There ARE miracles. Everyday. Some big, some small, but miracles none the less.
I have two small scars on my left arm from bullies with bb guns. Yeah…I do believe these two should be charged. The kid may be blind!

Florida Bill Would Prohibit Doctors From Asking Patients About Their Guns
With a stroke of the governor’s pen, Florida is positioned to become the first state in the nation to prohibit physicians from asking patients if they have guns in their homes, a move some doctors say will interfere with health care.
The Florida Senate passed House Bill 155 last month by a 27-10 vote and the measure now awaits the signature of Republican Gov. Rick Scott. If signed, it would ban doctors from asking about the presence of guns or ammunition in the home.
Republican State Rep. Jason Brodeur, a sponsor of the bill, proposed the legislation following an incident in which a Florida pediatrician told a mother to find another doctor when she refused to answer questions about guns in her home.
Supporters of the legislation, including the National Rifle Association, say they’re seeking to stop doctors from invading their privacy. Critics of the bill, however, claim that doctors need to ask patients about guns to ensure their safety and to make sure they remain out of the reach of children.
Odd. I don’t see anything in either the classical or modern Hippocratic oaths that says anything about such an intrusion. As a matter of fact, just the opposite:
I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. (emphasis mine)
Respecting the privacy of others would include not intruding into their privacy. Not to mention that little thing called the 2nd Amendment, which gives citizens the RIGHT to keep and bear arms. Didn’t see anything in that either that states I, or anyone else, would have to answer such a question from a doctor. Frankly, it’s none of their damn business. Contrary to what many doctors would like to believe, they are NOT God. Whether or not there are weapons in a home has nothing to do with “compassionately and effectively care for children“.

Schools may ban chocolate milk over added sugar
Chocolate milk has long been seen as the spoonful of sugar that makes the medicine go down, but the nation’s childhood obesity epidemic has a growing number of people wondering whether that’s wise.
Has any of these morons stopped to think through the consequences of their NUMEROUS interferences? Do they wonder why kids are getting fatter? Of course not. Blame the food, or the drinks, or whatever, but for the love of pete, do NOT blame them. And why would I say such a thing? Anything that got kids running and playing, and ACTIVE has now been banned! No kickball, no dodgeball, no tag, no playground equipment that actually uses physical activity. Wrapped the little darlin’s up in bubble wrap, call it ‘good’, and wonder why they are getting fat. Give me a freakin’ break!

Bin Laden Files Largest Terror Intelligence Find Ever, Security Adviser Says
The files obtained from Usama bin Laden’s compound amount to the largest intelligence find ever from a terror leader and show bin Laden was playing an active role in Al Qaeda from his Pakistan hideaway, National Security Adviser Tom Donilon said Sunday.
In an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” Donilon said the trove of files seized last week after bin Laden was killed is “the size of a small college library.”
“The size is quite notable. It’s the largest cache of intelligence information from a senior terrorist that we know of,” he said.

You might think that a U.S. company’s decision to expand its manufacturing facilities and create 1,000 new jobs here at home — rather than overseas — would be hailed by the Obama Administration as a step in the right direction, especially with nine percent unemployment. You’d be wrong. Instead, President Barack Obama’s National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is doing all it can to throw a wrench in the machinery of private industry.
The story begins with Boeing Corporation’s decision to build a new assembly plant in Charleston, South Carolina, in order to produce the 787 Dreamliner, the company’s fastest selling airliner. (To date, Boeing has 800 planes on order.) The NLRB, which is charged with remedying unfair labor practices, got wind of the decision and last month filed a complaint against Boeing, alleging that the company decided to build the plant in South Carolina out of retaliation for union strikes at its Washington state facilities.
