Carbonated Caffeine
Just what is it about Democrats and ethics? Do they have an allergy to ‘em or something?
It seems to me that battling a beetle would be a local problem, not a federal one.
I would think that any incursion of Islam into America would be harmful, for the entire country, not just Murfreesboro.
It doesn’t matter what we, or anyone else does. These animals will continue murdering until there is no one left to kill.
One more Obama scheme to bilk the country. It’s OUR money, and we already know the carbon credit crap is nothing more than a scam!
Why don’t you morons just quit freakin’ spending?? Get the hell out of OZ and take a good hard look at what such stupidity has already done!
It’s nice to know that Rep Giffords is improving…..slowly but surely. Who knows…maybe one day soon, she can retake her seat in Congress. After all, she is one of the very few rational Democrats.
But waste money is what Congress does best!
Personal opinion: It would be money well spent to send these animals back to the 12th century, instead of bombing Yemen.
Corruption in Detroit. Gee, what a shocker.
And people wonder why the rest of the country is laughing at Wisconsin? There is no punishment for the thugs. Arrested and released doesn’t set a very good example. If you haven’t seen the video of the thug ‘zombies‘, prepare to be pissed.
There is something really wrong with the people in California.
A couple of questions here. One, what business is it of the Senate what a bank charges in fees. Two, if a bank raises it’s fee to the merchant, the merchant passes on such fees to the consumer, and the consumer may find another bank to do business with, or not use a credit card at all. I’m a bit confused on this whole mess.
Because there are animals roaming the streets, kids can’t play in a park. Nice. How’s that gun ban working out for y’all?
America Can’t Afford Obama or His “Care”
Americans Will Suffer Under New Obamacare Mandates
The Foundry
It’s easy to see why Obamacare’s unpopularity grows substantially with every new detail that comes out. As former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D–CA) infamously noted, we had to pass the bill to find out what was in it. Well, now we know.
Many businesses affected by Obamacare—those not lucky enough to receive the coveted waivers—now view their slimming insurance options with extreme caution.
A shocking new study out by McKinsey and Company finds that 30–50 percent of employers who currently provide health insurance for their employees are likely to drop their coverage. Yes, that’s right. Even if you like your insurance, you will not be able to keep it, as President Obama often and famously promised.

Has Chris Matthews lost his mind?
The short answer……YES!
Excuse me, Mr President?
But what the hell are you doing??????
U.S. Is Intensifying a Secret Campaign of Yemen Airstrikes
The Obama administration has intensified the American covert war in Yemen, exploiting a growing power vacuum in the country to strike at militant suspects with armed drones and fighter jets, according to American officials.
Well, it’s not very ‘covert’ now, is it.
On Friday, American jets killed Abu Ali al-Harithi, a midlevel Qaeda operative, and several other militant suspects in a strike in southern Yemen. According to witnesses, four civilians were also killed in the airstrike. Weeks earlier, drone aircraft fired missiles aimed at Anwar al-Awlaki, the radical American-born cleric who the United States government has tried to kill for more than a year. Mr. Awlaki survived.
And how much did this little soiree cost the American taxpayers? Let’s see….about 70K per missile times X number of drops. Then add in the cost of the jets, and the fuel, etc. For a couple of pond scum. It might be a wee bit less expensive to hire a few local sharp shooters to take ‘em out. Less likely to blow up civilians too. All that, and they still didn’t get the little pig. Brilliant!
The recent operations come after a nearly year-long pause in American airstrikes, which were halted amid concerns that poor intelligence had led to bungled missions and civilian deaths that were undercutting the goals of the secret campaign.
So, this has been going on since 2009? Excuse me, but where is the outrage from the left? You know…the Code Pinko types. Why are they not out in from of the White House, chanting their catchy little hate phrases?
A senior Pentagon official, speaking only on condition of anonymity, said on Wednesday that using force against militants in Yemen was further complicated by the fact that Qaeda operatives have mingled with other rebels and antigovernment militants, making it harder for the United States to attack without the appearance of picking sides.
Seriously? I thought we were suppose to be on the side of right. What difference does it make if it looks like we’re taking sides against thugs? I’m baffled.
The American campaign in Yemen is led by the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command, and is closely coordinated with the Central Intelligence Agency. Teams of American military and intelligence operatives have a command post in Sana, the Yemeni capital, to track intelligence about militants in Yemen and plot future strikes.
Does the New York slimes ever consider the fact that by printing this kind of thing, they could be putting Americans at risk? No…of course not. It doesn’t matter to them one whit!
The extent of America’s war in Yemen has been among the Obama administration’s most closely guarded secrets, as officials worried that news of unilateral American operations could undermine Mr. Saleh’s tenuous grip on power. Mr. Saleh authorized American missions in Yemen in 2009, but placed limits on their scope and has said publicly that all military operations had been conducted by his own troops.
Wasn’t Obama an anti war candidate? Didn’t he say he was going to pull the troops out of Iraq? Afghanistan? And then goes and gets us involved in Libya, and as it turns out, has had us involved in a civil war in Yemen for 2 freakin’ years? Can we say hypocrite???
Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Yemen is believed by the C.I.A. to pose the greatest immediate threat to the United States, more so than even Qaeda’s senior leadership believed to be hiding in Pakistan. The Yemen group has been linked to the attempt to blow up a transatlantic jetliner on Christmas Day 2009 and last year’s plot to blow up cargo planes with bombs hidden inside printer cartridges.
Fine. Let’s bomb the hell out of them, and move on. I’m getting pretty fed up with the wishy washy way the PC bunch handles any war. And yeah….if we’re using our assets to bomb, this is a war. Not some cutsey name anyone wants to tack on…..WAR! So, now we are fighting on FOUR fronts. Peachy.
“With Saleh’s departure for Saudi Arabia, where he continues to receive medical treatment, this isn’t a time for inaction,” said the spokesman, Mark Toner. “There is a government that remains in place there, and they need to seize the moment and move forward.”
I do hope the administration realizes those people over there are moon barking mad. They are barbarians, no matter WHAT they claim.
Question: Did Congress give it’s approval for this? Just how many other countries are we bombing these days?

Ann on Her Most Excellent Book
Really! It’s an excellent book, and it is going to make the libs even more insane. Heh.
Obama: Hope, Change, and the Occasional Sex Dream
by Ann Coulter
In Part One of my new book — released this week! — Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America, I demonstrate that liberals have all the earmarks of mob psychology.
Their myths, slogans, demands for immediate action, messianic goals, demonization of opponents, creation of political idols and occasional resorts to violence — all this is classic herd behavior.
Because mobs are irrational, immature, subject to wild passions and infatuations, they cannot be reasoned with. And they are always dangerous.
The mob attributes of liberals we will review this week are a crowd’s inability to perceive contradictions and its tendency to form an infatuation for an individual.
Cuts During Wartime? Insanity!
Ten Questions for Leon Panetta
The Foundry
The war in Afghanistan rages on, as does the conflict in Libya. U.S. troops are still deployed in Iraq. Unrest continues in the Middle East’s Arab Spring. Meanwhile, Iran’s nuclear efforts are accelerating, and the global war against terrorists remains. And yet despite an aging military, President Barack Obama has called for $400 billion in cuts to national security spending over the next 12 years, in addition to the $400 billion in cuts he has already made.
It is against this backdrop that Leon Panetta, President Obama’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, will go before the Senate tomorrow for questioning on how he would shepherd the department into the future. The American taxpayers deserve some answers from Panetta.
This Is “Education”?
Dept. of Education breaks down Stockton man’s door
Kenneth Wright does not have a criminal record and he had no reason to believe a S.W.A.T team would be breaking down his door at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
“I look out of my window and I see 15 police officers,” Wright said.
Wright came downstairs in his boxer shorts as a S.W.A.T team barged through his front door. Wright said an officer grabbed him by the neck and led him outside on his front lawn.
“He had his knee on my back and I had no idea why they were there,” Wright said.
According to Wright, officers also woke his three young children ages 3, 7, and 11 and put them in a Stockton police patrol car with him. Officers then searched his house.
As it turned out, the person law enforcement was looking for was not there – Wright’s estranged wife.
“They put me in handcuffs in that hot patrol car for six hours, traumatizing my kids,” Wright said.
Can we say ‘police state’? I knew we could!
They have GOT to be freakin’ kidding. The U.S. Department of Education can call in SWAT? For student loans??????? Are they serious????????? Have they always had the authority to bust down people’s door in the wee hours of the morning? And who the hell gave them that authority?
The man wants an apology and a new door. Personally, I think he should OWN the whole damn bureaucratic bullsh*t!
Children’s Lives Are In Your Hands, Governor!
Two items that should be read….especially if you live in the state of Tennessee!
First, from Spitfire, at Smart Girl Politics:
It’s Not Too Late: Urge the Governor to Stand Tall?
Governor Haslam Signals Intent To Sign Budget
With Planned Parenthood Funding Intact
Commits Future Support to Ramsey, Harwell Pledge to Defund in 2012
“I guess the big question is what is meant by family planning,” Haslam responded. “If it’s having Planned Parenthood run it out of state dollars, I would not be in favor of that. I would not be in favor of state dollars going to abortion, either. Are there other things that we can do to help on this very serious issue in Tennessee? You bet.”
Candidate Bill Haslam, Speaking to TN Economic Council on Women, October 19, 2010
Read the whole piece here.
We shouldn’t really be surprised. The candidate always says what we want/need to hear. Once elected, he/she tends to forget those who actually got him/her into office, and plays games with people’s lives. In this case, the lives of the unborn.
The second, by Pastor Timothy, at Timothy Matters:
Gov. Haslam: Veto the Entire Bill! An Open Letter to the Governor
Dear Governor Bill Haslam,
I do feel compelled to write to you or even speak with one of your assistants about the pending budget bill that will support Planned Parenthood for another year with Federal Funding. You say that you are pro-life, and take a pro-life stance, but your unwillingness to use your authority with a line-item veto or your veto shows that you are merely pro-life in name only. After all, you are only being pro-life when it is convenient, not when it might actually cost you something. That is not pro-life. That is just being political in nature. Therefore I call on you to repent of this behavior, take a stand for the lives of those who are dying at the hands of abortionist, and actually be bold for righteousness sake. You are the top official in this state and you will be held accountable by God Himself on judgment day for your actions.
Read the whole letter to Haslam here.
Pastor Timothy does not mince words. Governor Haslam would do well to listen. There are a great many people in the state of Tennessee who see our tax dollars going to fund an organization whose primary business is baby murder as abhorrent. We vote.
With the recent fiasco of someone sneaking in to change the wording of the budget, I don’t think you really want to get us even more angry. It’s a true disappointment that neither you, nor Lt. Gov. Ramsey are standing tall on that issue, which, if either of you had more concern for the lives of the unborn, which you both claim, the roof would have been coming off at the Capital.
As the comment left by a Mr Nance states:
The legislators who defunded planned barrenhood represented the will of the people. The individuals who decided to make themselves dictators and change the wording of the bill against the will of the people committed fraud against the people of Tennessee. If the Governor signs it into law rather than punish the criminals he is an accomplice to the fraud. If the Governor signs this into law what good is our legislature? Why spend the money to have a legislature if we know it’s power to legislate is fake.
Are we truly no longer a country ‘of the people, by the people, for the people’? If the Republicans forget how and why, they won the majority for the first time in more than a century, then perhaps we’ll just have to remind them the next election.

A Wee Bit Of Hypocrisy?
National Anthem Banned at Mennonite College’s Sporting Events, Sparking Outcry
Goshen College, a Mennonite school in Indiana, has become a target of public outrage over its decision to ban the playing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at sporting events because it conflicts with the school’s core values.
“We recognize that some people may not be satisfied with this decision, but we believe it is the right one for Goshen College,” Ricky Stiffney, chairman of the college’s board of directors, said in a written statement. “The board has a diversity of views on this issue as reflected through the process of considering the anthem.”
According to an online fact sheet on the issue, the college noted: “Historically, playing the national anthem has not been among Goshen College’s practices because of our Christ-centered core value of compassionate peacemaking seeming to be in conflict with the anthem’s militaristic language.”
If the school is concerned about the ‘militaristic language’, are they not even more concerned about the violence of sports? It seems rather hypocritical to me. Just a thought.
Obama OWNS It
Obama’s Jobless America
The Foundry
The economic news keeps getting worse for America. Last month, the unemployment rate went up to 9.1 percent, the economy added only 54,000 jobs, and the average length of unemployment rose to more than nine months, the longest since the Labor Department started keeping track in 1948. But despite all the writing on the wall, President Barack Obama wants you and the 13.9 million unemployed Americans to hang on for the ride.
In his weekly address on Friday, President Obama played down May’s terrible unemployment numbers as mere “bumps on the road to recovery” and blamed America’s latest economic woes on high gas prices (which he can do something about, but hasn’t), the earthquake in Japan, and “unease about the European fiscal situation.” Meanwhile, his chief economic adviser, Austan Goolsbee, parroted his boss’s “bumps on the road” line and, on Sunday, told America not to worry about the jobs report, remarking, “Don’t bank too much of any one month’s jobs report. You want to look at a little bit of a trend to get a more accurate barometer.” Goolsbee announced his resignation yesterday.
