Progress ??
Well, it’s been one week, one day, and some odd hours since my surgery. I ain’t doin’ the polka anytime soon, that’s for sure. I suppose I’m making some sort of progress. Working on the range of motion and such, and I can see improvements, but only when I’m on that dadburn torture device. Once it’s off, and I’m free to move about….doesn’t happen so well. sigh… A really good night’s sleep might do me some good too but that doesn’t seem to be the norm these days. I do quite a bit of sleeping, but unfortunately, not in one chunk. An hour here, an hour there… grumps! Well, not too bad, except when the pain gets to me. And yes, there is quite a bit of pain involved. UGH! I don’t like pain. You might have to say I’m an extreme baby when it comes to pain. 
The physical therapist was suppose to be here yesterday. Never showed up. Never called. Disturbing. I’m sure there is a reason for his lack of professionalism, but a simple phone call, either from him, or the company would go a long way in improving my opinion of him right now. What if I could have made plans to go out dancing? Yeah…I see the big picture of that happening too, but still….. We could have been having company come over, and not knowing he wasn’t going to bother to show, they could have come earlier. It’s all a matter of common courtesy, right?
It would have also been nice to ask him why I’m running a fever of 101.2. He’s the one who said I didn’t need a nurse to come check on me as well as his visits, so he might want to be available when there’s a need. HUMPH. Yep, the incision is looking a might more on the red side that it should be, which might be nothing, but then again….. And me having a temp tends to put the Mr in the meat locker. I want that A/C cranked when I’m HOT. He’s wearing a jacket…..in July. 
Poor man is putting up with quite a bit, on top of his own issues. Yep, we’re quite a pair right about now. 
I need sleep! I’ve been trying to do without the pain medication as much as possible, mainly because I don’t much like being even more goofy than I am by nature. However, sad to say, I haven’t quite been able to get to that point yet. Usually, I’ll take ‘em for a couple of days, and then that’s it. Reckon this is a wee bit different from previous experiences. They put extra hardware in the hole, and I’m not too sure it’s adapting to it’s surroundings.
Hey….one bright spot! At least that dadburn rash is pretty much gone! Lots of Cortisone 10 and Benedryl….works wonders. Now, if I could just get the rest of the adhesive off my bod, I’d almost be a happy camper. Do they use mega super glue on that stuff, so it takes YEARS to come off, no matter how hard ya scrub? Sheesh!
Perhaps it’s time to make another stab at sleeping? Now, if that darn cat would just leave me in peace, I might have a chance. sigh….
The Dog Is Dead
Texas executes Mexican despite White House plea
The U.S. Supreme Court refused to block Texas from executing a Mexican citizen despite a White House-backed appeal that claimed the case could affect other foreigners arrested in the U.S. and Americans in legal trouble abroad.
Humberto Leal was executed Thursday evening for the 1994 rape and murder of a San Antonio teenager after his attorneys, supported also by the Mexican government and other diplomats, unsuccessfully sought a stay. They argued that Leal was denied help from his home country that could have helped him avoid the death penalty.
You’ll excuse me if I have no sympathy for this animal. He could easily have avoided the death penalty if he had NOT murdered the 16 year old girl! It’s that simple. You don’t wanna die…..resist the crime.
This was just one more issue for our illustrious leader to make himself look the fool, siding against the citizens of THIS country, in favor of foreign criminals. I wonder why no one has noted this sort of behavior in previous presidents? Oh….that’s right….BECAUSE D’BLVIOUS IS ONE OF A KIND. Thank God. I don’t think the country could stand too many more like him.
So, in the meantime, we clothed, fed and housed this animal for 17 years or so. I wish someone would explain to me why, once the verdict and penalty were decided, why they didn’t take him out back and shoot him like the dog he is/was? And that goes for ever other illegal piece of garbage that comes over here with their perversion for children on the rampage! If Mexico doesn’t want it’s Mexican criminals treated as the criminals they are, then how about keeping them at home. YOU deal with your filthy child molesters, or we’ll do it for you. Either way, YOU need to be paying for their upkeep while they are still breathing! Child predators might be the norm for south of the border, but we don’t look upon such trash kindly around these parts.
