Just Shoot Me!

16 July 2011, 4:19 pm. 4 Comments. Filed under Just Cuz.

Get it over with!  UGH!  And here I thought I was doing pretty good.  Was up wandering the house, even used the cane instead of the walker for a short time (not really ready for that much though) and BOOM!  Last night, my knee blew up like a casaba.  I thought the idea was for the swelling to go away eventually, not make a big comeback!  Sheesh! And what’s with the bruises on my calf? Where did THAT come from? Maybe I can blame the Marquis? Heh. Needless to say, it was a pretty bad night….again.

However….I did manage to actually SLEEP more than 2 hours this morning. Ok, it was 2 1/2 hours in one shot, but that’s a record! :) Keep this up, in another couple of weeks, I’ll be up to 3! :?

I know, I know…..in a few weeks, I’m going to look back and decide “it wasn’t THAT bad”….right? RIGHT? sigh….

There’s no word why she touched the agent.” Humph! I could give you several millions reasons why, first off being, ‘payback’s a bitch!’

You hear the constant whining of the left about ‘big corporations’ and such, but why don’t they ever complain when it’s the government employees that do much worse?  After all, government employees are paid by taxpayers.  Doesn’t their greed deserve some serious scrutiny?  SOBs need to lose any and all benefits, do time, AND repay every single dime they bilked from the taxpayers!

WHAT THE HELL??????  Whose tiny demented brain came up with such an insulting idea?  Why not put up a statue to honor Hitler why they’re at it.  Jeeeeeeeez!

Welcome home, soldier.  R.I.P.

What we NEED is a radical change in Washington, starting in the White House!  I suppose he figures since it’s not his money, he’s free to spend as much as he wants, on whatever he wants.  Guess what dude!  You ain’t KING!

Rather surprising coming from a San Fransisco judge.  However, the ruling has no teeth, so what’s the point?

He stopped being a kid when he decided to commit murder.  Perhaps if Mexico had the death penalty, and great many of their problems would be diminished substantially.

I wouldn’t advice any Republican to compromise on tax hikes!  I would suggest, however, that the Democrats remove their heads from their hinders!  We do NOT work for you.  YOU work for US!  We don’t want to foot the bills for all your billion dollar pet projects anymore.  We are fed up with supporting countries that hate us.   We don’t believe it’s the government’s job to raise children of irresponsible parents.  And we are sick and tired of all the lies!

If he had made a previous attempt, why, pray tell, was he out on the streets able to murder that child?  Shouldn’t he have been behind bars?

Handing over control of the zoo to the hyenas makes about as much sense as handing over control to the Afghanis.  They’re going to kill each other, and those there to help in their security?  Fine.  Let them slaughter each other, and let’s get the hell out.

Wanna buy a house?

Shut them down.  Crisis averted.

Does this mean that the reports of al-Qaeda being in the mix were false, or that the current administration is recognizing them as a legitimate government.  I’m extremely confused.

And water is wet.  Well, it’s wet in Pakistan, too.

Shelia Jackson Lee is a race baiting poverty pimp, and her constituents are morons.  Just my opinion.

I had a really bad night Wednesday, so got little to no sleep.  Obviously, no sleep means no rational thought.  No blogging is a good idea.  I had another bad one last night.  This cramping business is really the pits.

The first thing this morning when I turned on my phone, I received a text from my pastor.  A sweet lady, dear friend, and his mom Lost her battle with cancer this morning. I guess you could say I don’t feel much like posting anything today either.

It’s a joyous day for her, but a very unhappy one for the rest of us.  Please keep his family in your prayers.

Ann on The Truth About Democrats

One President Left Behind: McConnell Schools Obama on Debt
by Ann Coulter

Democrats don’t want to cut any government spending programs, not now, not ever. The country is on a high-speed bullet train to bankruptcy (the only kind of bullets liberals approve of), and the Democrats’ motto is: Spend! Spend! Spend!

Democrats are at an advantage in the “should the U.S. go bankrupt or not?” debate because, based on their economic policies so far, they obviously favor bankruptcy.

This allows them to sit back and demand that Republicans propose all the spending cuts and then turn around and scream that Republicans have declared war on the poor and disadvantaged.

It’s a nice trick, especially considering Republicans control only the House.

Government Perverts

Police charge mother in Nashville airport altercation

A 41-year-old Clarksville woman was arrested after Nashville airport authorities say she was belligerent and verbally abusive to security officers, refusing for her daughter to be patted down at a security checkpoint.

Andrea Fornella Abbott yelled and swore at Transportation Security Administration agents Saturday afternoon at Nashville International Airport, saying she did not want her daughter to be “touched inappropriately or have her “crotch grabbed,” a police report states.

Ya know what? I wouldn’t want my 6 year old daughter, or son, groped by those perverts either. I honestly do NOT see the point in all this child groping. Or adults either, for that matter. There is something really wrong with this whole scenario that has been foisted on the flying public. It’s way past time to start profiling, and leave the children alone! It’s not a 6 six old little fair skinned child that is going to be blowing up planes. Wanna call me a bigot? Tell me how I’m wrong! Tell me how many small AMERICAN Christian/Jewish children have carried out terrorist attacks…on anyone!

Obama Aims for the Money You Don’t “Need”
The Foundry

Over the past several weeks, America has seen on grand display in Washington a singular mindset emanating from the White House: We must raise taxes so that we can keep on spending. This week, though, America was treated to something different—a glimpse inside President Barack Obama’s mind, a roadmap of his economic worldview. And what was revealed was a philosophy that is fundamentally at odds with America’s job creators.

That insight came during the President’s press conference on Monday in which he broached the subject of raising taxes as part of the debt limit deal:

And I do not want, and I will not accept, a deal in which I am asked to do nothing, in fact, I’m able to keep hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional income that I don’t need, while a parent out there who is struggling to figure out how to send their kid to college suddenly finds that they’ve got a couple thousand dollars less in grants or student loans.

More Progress….I Think

13 July 2011, 2:46 am. 7 Comments. Filed under Just Cuz, Opinion.

Personally, I think the best progress would me being able to sleep more than 2 hours at a time, with 3 or 4 awake in between.  UGH!  And being able to actually stay in the bed would be a great plus too.  This recliner is ok, but not exactly great for sleeping any length of time.  :?

The Marquis de Sade’s torture device is evidently doing what it’s suppose to do, other than cause me a great deal of pain.  I now have more mobility in the knee, and was even able to get my foot out of the shower without a great deal of trouble.  :D   I guess you have to actually be there to get that particular picture.

Tomorrow, the Marquis is removing the staples.  This should be fun.  *chibber*  Usually, having staples removed doesn’t really hurt that much, but for some reason, I have a feeling, this is going to be the exception to that rule.  :?   I’m hoping once they are out, my knee won’t feel like it doesn’t have enough skin wrapped around it to do the job it was meant to do.

I’m also getting around on the walker pretty well, when the need arises.  To say I’m none too fond of that thing as well, would be an understatement.  However, it does get from point A to point B, so I’ll put up with it….for now.  Who knew it could be so much work just to waddle myself to the kitchen when I’m so hungry, I just can’t take it anymore, and attempt to stand and do a bit of preparing….like popping a pizza in the microwave.  Ya wouldn’t think that would be so difficult, would ya?  Pfft!  I still gotta work on this standing business.  Might come in handy at some point in the future.  :P

Now, there might be some folks who are wondering why I’m not posting more, since I have nothing to do while laying, or sitting, around.  Well, I’ll tell ya.  First, it helps to be fully conscious!  I might be awake, sorta, but the brain tends to be a wee bit fuzzy from the lack of sleep.  The sitting around part…well, yes, I’m doing a great deal of sitting, but having the computer sitting in my lap is something that does not bode well for my mental state.  Even using a pillow to cushion the thing doesn’t help for very long, so, I don’t.  And then there that pain factor.  I am able to get through the day with only Tylenol Arthritis….sorta, and take the big ones only at night, in the hopes that sleep will be induced.  So, to be blunt, pain and rational thought are not exactly hand in hand.  I figure it would be best to say little when I can, than to say a lot, and make no sense at all.  Right?  :D

Well, honestly, I don’t need a whole lot of time to express what I’ve seen in the past week or so on the news:  Barack Hussein Obama is a lying sack of dog excrement!  John Boehner needs to stiffen his backbone, and flat out say NO!  And the Democrats are certifiably insane.  See?  Didn’t need a whole lot of time to tell ya what y’all already know.  :D

I’ve just gotta work harder to get this appendage back in working order if I expect to make it to St Louis at the end of the month, and from there, go to Texas for a few days to spend time with my grandson.  Yep….said grandson!  :D   He’s 17 now.

So, you see?  I’m quite motivated, but that doesn’t mean I’m not gonna whine and complain about the process.  I’m female!  It’s my job!

Oh, and I haven’t killed that cat…..YET!  But it’s getting close!  Heh.

Playing “Telephone” With The Bible

12 July 2011, 5:49 am. 9 Comments. Filed under Faith, Opinion.

New Bible aims for readability, broader appeal

Changes in the new Common English Bible start on page one.

Instead of the familiar “In the beginning,” the book of Genesis starts with, “When God began to create the heavens and the earth.”

Other changes include calling Jesus “the Human One” instead of the more familiar “Son of Man.”

And while older translations tell believers in Exodus not to mistreat aliens or foreigners, the new Bible reads, “Don’t mistreat or oppress an immigrant, because you were once immigrants in the land of Egypt.”

Did you ever play telephone when you were a kid?  It was quite hilarious to learn how the story changed from the beginning of the ‘line’ till it got to the end.  By that time, the whole story had turned into something quite different.  This is what I think of when I read of the changes that have been made to the Bible.  It becomes quite different than it’s original intent.

The Human One?  Not exactly saying the ‘Son of Man’ is it.  The Human One could be anybody…male or female.  The strength just isn’t there.  Immigrant?  I’m afraid associating today’s “immigrants” to the children of Israel just doesn’t cut it for me.  Since they had been invited in by Pharaoh, and God had told them He would make  them a great nation, I don’t think you could equate them with today’s idea of ‘immigrants’.

If these are just an example of how the new language is going to affect the Bible, and it’s impact, then I’d have to say, I don’t much approve at all. It’s like someone is attempting to dilute the Word of God, and that just won’t do at all. I don’t think I’ll be investing any money to purchase this ‘modern’ day version of one of the Greatest Books ever written.

The Common English Bible stands in contrast to more conservative translations, such as the New International Version and the English Standard Version, said Paul Franklyn, associate publisher of the Common English Bible.

“There are a number of translations available for conservative churches,” Franklyn said. “This is trying to make a bridge between conservatives, moderates and liberals.”

There should be no difference between the ‘conservative’ churches, or any other. If your pastor doesn’t preach from the literal translation of the Bible, then he/she is not teaching the word of God. I’m afraid too many modern churches have attempted to adapt the teachings to them, instead of changing themselves to follow the teachings of God. If you wonder how the country has gotten into the mess we have today, just take a good look at the churches. Acceptance of sin (abortion, homosexuality, etc.) in a church changes the purpose of the original intent of the church. As does changing the words of God.

“My first pass is positive,” she said. “I think it will make the Scriptures more accessible. The hope is that people will be drawn to seek a deep relationship with the word through study.”

Franklyn said translators tried to make their work as inclusive and diverse as possible. Most previous English translations have been done mostly by white men. With the Common English Bible, about a third of translators were women and about15 percent of translators were people of color.

So, this translation isn’t really about the Word of God at all. It’s about politically correct ‘diversity’, no matter than the authors of the Bible were not all that ‘diverse’. I see. The gender or color of the translator is suppose to make things all better. Got it. WRONG! The fact this was even brought up tells me more than I wanted to know. I suppose this just some cut and paste copy of a liberals dream book, not the Bible of God at all. I’m of the opinion that if there are so many who have such difficulty understanding other translations, the King James for example, then the problem lies with the one who is teaching.

Get The Hell Out Of The Way!

America, the Europe of the West?
The Foundry

Last night, President Barack Obama and U.S. congressional leaders failed to reach agreement on a deal to raise the nation’s debt limit. Meanwhile, it has been more than 800 days since the U.S. Senate passed a budget, liberals in Washington are pushing for higher taxes, unemployment is soaring, the deficit keeps growing, and America is careening toward an economic future as the Europe of the West.

That’s a future of crippling debt, spending, and permanently high unemployment that some in Congress are trying to avoid. On Saturday, Speaker of the House John Boehner (R–OH) pulled the plug on a debt ceiling increase that would have raised taxes in exchange for reductions in spending. It was the right move. Tax increases are the last thing America needs as it struggles with 9.2 percent unemployment and stagnant job growth.

But America’s dismal economic reality–and the policy of taxing and spending–are facts of life the Obama Administration would like America to accept, along with their explanation of why growth has been so slow to date.

Thou Shalt Not Steal

Rangel: “Jesus Would Have Something to Say” About the Debt Debate

Congressman Charles Rangel , D-NY, doesn’t know exactly what Jesus would say about the debt crisis, but he thinks religious leaders should be a part of the conversation.

“It is a moral question. So I am surprised that we don’t hear from the rabbis and the priests and the ministers and the imams. This is their business, not just politicians’,” he told Fox News on Sunday.

A moral question?  How about “render unto Caesar”?  Honestly,  don’t think Mr Rangel is acquainted with the same Jesus I know.  While He may have eaten dinner with prostitutes and tax collectors, I don’t think the message could be construed as Him approving of their life choices.  The idea was to come away a changed person, and to leave those sins behind. Perhaps Mr Rangal should dig a big deeper into whatever version of Bible he might have sitting around, gathering dust.   If those religious leaders are actually Bible based, and not the liberalized ‘social justice’ horse manure types, then what they should tell him is that stealing is still a sin, and stealing the future of our children due to the out of control spending habits of Congress is a sin too, and they need to repent!  Not continue their ridiculous theft of the future.  Destroying America through reckless social policies, and government greed won’t look too good on their resume’ when they get to the Pearly Gates!

Rangel insists, “If the sky, the economic sky was to fall the very rich in this country would not feel any pain at all.”

But when pressed on exactly what that higher power would say about America’s money problems, he replied “I don’t know what Jesus or Moses or anyone would say. But, the issues are so morally clear…we are our brothers keepers.”

Yeah…WE! Not the government! It is OUR personal responsibility to help those less fortunate. Passing on the responsibility to the government is a personal failure! And we, as a nation, have failed miserably by allowing the government to take hard earned money to use for failed social policies, creating an entitlement mentality which has ruined several generations. NO! You are NOT entitled to my money to pay for your health care. NO! You are not entitled to receive a ‘retirement supplement’! You ARE entitled to do your best throughout your life to prepare for the time when you will retire from work, and live your remaining years on YOUR own dime.  The “rich” in this country are the ones who create and provide the jobs that will enable you to provide for your own waning years!

Rangel summed up his argument by saying, “You know all of this is biblical… If you read your bibles and you read the spiritual scriptures you will see that clearly that Jesus would have something to say about this debate.”

No, actually Mr Rangal, He would not! And if YOU read YOUR Bible and spiritual scriptures, YOU would be aware of that fact!

A pretty powerful message from the U.S. Senate Chaplain, Rear Admiral Barry C. Black (Ret.). I wonder how many Senators have actually listened to this man’s messages? Judging by their actions, not too many but they definitely should.

None of us are perfect. Professing Christians are surely not. We’re human. We make mistakes, do stupid things, but how we react to our own failings is what separates us from those who refuse to accept the Ultimate Truth. I just wanted to share, what I felt to be an extremely timely message. (Starts at 1:40 – 44:30)

John 8:31-36

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
