More Bad News for the Obama Economy
The Foundry

Americans’ confidence in the economy is sitting at its lowest point since March 2009, and in every state in the country, a vast majority of Americans see the economy as getting worse. Meanwhile, the number of people claiming new jobless benefits rose again last week. Under those circumstances, it’s no wonder the White House is doing everything it can to make even the most dismal economic news seem like a silver lining on a very dark cloud.

That shred of news came yesterday in the form of the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) mid-year assessment of the budget and economic situation. In the report, the CBO lowered its projected 2011 economic growth rate from 3.1 percent in its January report to only 2.3 percent–well below the growth rate needed to reduce the unemployment rate. The CBO also projects a deficit for 2011 of $1.284 trillion–slightly lower than the January deficit projection of $1.480 trillion. As for unemployment, the CBO didn’t have much good to say. In its estimation, the jobless rate will fall only to 8.9 percent by the end of this year but remain above 8 percent until 2014.

Is This A Threat?

I got an email to moderate a comment on this post.  Having to moderate a comment is not all that unusual.  Sometimes, I approve them, sometimes, I don’t.  This one however….well, I’m not going to approve it….I’m going to give it a post all its own.  To say the comment has nothing to do with the actual post about my physical therapy would be an understatement.  I suppose, at some point in time, I said something on here to really get this clown from Nepal’s jihad going.

The comment, in its entirety….no censoring:

HI Mother fucker Olboard…..If you are from one FATHER you can come in public and make such comments on Quran and our Prophet(pbuh), You will be beheaded you Basterd …..You must be a GAY……Hitler did a very good JOB by killing 6 million Jews like you….You guys Christians/Jews are very uneasy that Islam is spreading in the world with light speed…You cannot stop It…And for you information Bastered….read the book THE 100(from US writer(Michael H. Hart,) and check who is the TOP1 influential personality in human history. (I know you will not put this comment in ur page)If you have guts, keep it….YOU WILL HAVE TO BURN IN HELL UNLESS YOU SEEK REFUGE WITH THAT CREATOR…..

Well now….I do believe I’ve been threatened.  And I’m a board?  Hmmm…  Well, obviously, this person’s literacy level leaves a great deal to be desired.

Now, as to my father?  Both biological and adoptive fathers are dead.  My FATHER lives, has always lived, and will always live. No doubt, my husband will be real surprised to learn that I’m gay.  And I’m Jewish too?  I’ve no doubt that would shock my Southern Baptist pastor.  Yep….you muzzies are real fond of murderous scum like Hilter.  I mean, after all, that so called prophet y’all are so fond of was a murderous pedophile, so it’s not surprising at all.  Disgusting, but not surprising.

And FYI, I have read that book you call ‘holy’.  I see nothing holy about it.  But that’s just my opinion.  Seems rather hateful and violent, not to mention downright evil.  You do realize that evil destruction comes from Satan, right?  Or maybe you aren’t aware.  In that case, I feel downright sorry for you.  You made the choice to follow evil, and walk in darkness.  Wish I could help you see the Light.

I have been saved by Grace, so all your threats, pathetic, or otherwise, can not turn me from my Savior.  Sorry dude, I’m not the one who will be burning in hell.  Say ‘Howdy” to that pedophile prophet of yours when you get there.  I’m sure he and the devil be pleased to have so much of your type of company.

R.O.E.

I have to ask…why would any congress critter vote against allowing our military men and women to defend themselves?

Rep John Mica introduced an amendment (H.R. Amdt 318) to H.R. 1540 that would do just that.

AMENDMENT DESCRIPTION:
Amendment requires that the rules of engagement allow any military service personnel assigned to duty in a designated hostile fire area to have rules of engagement that fully protect their right to proactively defend themselves from hostile actions.

AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
An amendment numbered 38 printed in House Report 112-88 to require that the rules of engagement allow any military service personnel assigned to duty in a designated hostile fire area to have rules of engagement that fully protects their right to proactively defend themselves from hostile actions.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me. We know that many of the Democrats don’t give a damn about the safety of our troops, but when I see that there are Republicans that voted against this amendment as well, then I have some serious problems. The one who shocks me the most….. Paul Ryan.  As a matter of fact, only one Republican from Wisconsin voted to let the soldiers defend themselves, Reid Riddle.  Is there something in this amendment that escapes me?  It’s pretty simple language, so I’m not sure just what the objections are with those who voted against it.

If anyone has an explanation, I’d sure be happy to hear it.

Must Be The Water

Is it a rule that anyone who lives in Illinois has to be snotty? I mean, I know there are decent folks who live in this state, but evidently none of them work in the hospitality business, as in motels. :?   At least not in this town.

I stay in a lot of motels, as you’d know if you’ve been around these digs for a while. I tend to go places….a lot. Usually there are motels involved. Most of the time, they are extremely accommodating, especially for someone who is obviously incapacitated. Not this place. Oh no…. in order for me to smoke in a downstairs room, I would be charged a ridiculous fee. If I want to smoke, I have to have an upstairs room. Ok. No…not ok. There is NO FREAKIN’ ELEVATOR! Isn’t there a law or some such?

I’m walking with a cane. The scar on my knee couldn’t have been anymore obvious if it had snapped her nose off, yet, she continues her snotty attitude. Well, I informed the snotty twit…if I fall, or am harmed in anyway, because she is incapable of accommodating me with a downstairs room, due to the fact there are no elevators, I will own her ass. But I said it very politely. After all, honey and magnolias, don’cha know!

Ann on The Darwiniacs

The Flash Mob Mentality of Scientific Inquiry
by Ann Coulter

The definition of hell is being condescended to by idiots. It will probably be MSNBC’s Chris Matthews? and Contessa Brewer? sneering at you for all of eternity for not believing in evolution.

Roughly one-third of my 2007 No. 1 New York Times best-seller, “Godless: The Church of Liberalism,” is an attack on liberals’ creation myth, Darwinian evolution. I presented the arguments of all the luminaries in the field, from the retarded Richard Dawkins? to the brilliant Francis Crick, and disputed them.

But apparently liberals didn’t want to argue back.

Despite Matthews’ obsessive fixation on the topic, manifested by his constantly asking elected Republicans if they believe in evolution, in a one-hour interview with me on “Godless” — the very book that is chockablock with attacks on Darwinism — Matthews didn’t ask me a single question about the subject.

No liberal did. Matthews doesn’t even know what evolution is.

Just a year later, at a 2008 Republican presidential candidates’ debate, Matthews asked for a show of hands of who believed in evolution. No discussion permitted! That might allow scientific facts, rather than schoolyard taunts, to escape into the world.

Evolution is the only subject that is discussed exclusively as a “Do you believe?” question with yes-or-no answers. How about conservative journalists start putting mikes in front of liberal candidates and demanding, “Do you believe in the Bible — yes or no?” “Is an unborn baby human — yes or no?” and “Do you believe teenagers should have sex — yes or no?”

Yes…another one.  Wish me luck!  :D   I’ll be taking my time, so it shouldn’t be too bad.  But how can I pass up the opportunity to annoy Chris up close and personal?  I mean seriously?  I have to entertain myself somehow, right?  What better way than to head up to Wisconsin?  Heh.  Of course, I’ll be able to irritate a few other folks too…  like Jim, Bridgette, Frank, Cindy, Ric, and a number of others I only get to see once a year.  WHOO HOO!

Shurtleff, evangelicals praise Obama deportation policy, blast tea party

Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff joined evangelical Christian leaders in applauding the Obama administration’s new deportation policy and blasting the tea party’s hard line on illegal immigration issues.

“Our resources are not best used in this country either nationally, on a statewide level or a local level to go after those who are otherwise law-abiding citizens,” Shurtleff said Tuesday during a National Immigration Forum telephonic news conference.

The Republican attorney general called the tea party’s approach to illegal immigration — round people up and ship them home — unrealistic, unworkable and damaging to the GOP.

“It pains me that the tea party has too much of a voice in turning people to the irrational and the shrill,” he said.

Can we say RINO?  I knew we could.  Ya know what?  I don’t give a flying flip about the GOP!  If this is the type of ‘law enforcement’ the GOPers produce, then I want nothing to do with them.  It’s against the law to sneak into someone’s home, and steal their money.  What is so hard for this asshat to understand?  He’s suppose to be an attorney.  He should KNOW what’s right, and what’s wrong.  Evidently, he must have missed that class in law school.

Shrill?  Bubba, you must be listening to the Maxine Waters and the rest of the socialist libtards, and taking his cues from them.  THEY are more shrill than a 2 year having a temper tantrum!  What is irrational about expecting our own law enforcement to actually enforce the FREAKIN’ LAWS?  Is this fool aware how much it costs the legal citizens of this country to support his criminal pals?  The education, the medical, the food?????  Do I want to rip families apart?  Of course not.  The criminals who snuck in can take their children home with them.  I have no problem with that at all.  To allow the continuous flaunting of our laws makes us look weak.  Thanks to this clown, and many like him, including the White House, we have become a very weak nation, and I for one, am more angry than you can imagine.

Makes A Body Proud!

Rep. Frederica Wilson: ‘The Real Enemy is the Tea Party’

Last night at a town hall meeting in Miami sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus, the subject was supposed to be jobs, but Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D- FL) turned it to partisan politics and told assembled job seekers:

“Let us all remember who the real enemy is… the real enemy is the Tea Party… the Tea Party holds the Congress hostage.”

Congresswoman Maxine Waters, herself known for vitriolic anti-Tea Party rhetoric, and the Reverend Jesse Jackson were also present at the town hall. The stated intent of the gathering was to hold a preview discussion of a mega jobs fair in Miami held today.

Yep!  I’m the real enemy!  The enemy of leftist, socialist, communist policies.  And DAMN proud of it!

I Think I Was Tired!

23 August 2011, 6:16 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Just Cuz.

For the past few months, sleep has been at a premium.  Sleep a couple of hours, wake a couple of hours, sleep an hour, wake several hours, sleep half an hour…wake…  over and over, night after night.  I’d say pain had something to do with it, wouldn’t you?  :?   So, imagine my surprise when I woke up at 4:00 this afternoon!  Yep….I’d say I was pretty flippin’ tired.  Granted, there were periods of waking, but not for long enough to even count.    Oh, well, I did wake up around noon, long enough to munch a bowl of cereal, and went right back to sleep.

I’d like to say there wasn’t any pain involved, but I’d be lying.  But obviously, the brain decided to ignore it for a while….about 14 hours worth.  :)

OH yeah….REAL tired.  :D

Fire and Brimstone

Tea Party Group Slams Rep. Waters Over ‘Straight to Hell’ Outburst

A national Tea Party group urged Democrats to adhere to their own calls for civility after Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters told a restless crowd over the weekend that the “Tea Party can go straight to hell.”

Mark Meckler and Jenny Beth Martin, who lead the Tea Party Patriots, suggested President Obama should step in to put a check on the overheated rhetoric.

“We’ve had Democrats calling American citizens ‘terrorists’ and ‘hostage takers,’ and now an elected Democratic representative says that we can ‘go straight to hell.’ The president and all leaders of the Democratic Party, who have called for civility in the past, are neglecting to censure their own. Is civility only required from their opponents?” they asked in a statement. “Perhaps it’s time for a new-NEW era of civility. … The president’s silence on these latest violations of civility has been deafening, but not surprising.”

I’d say it is quite likely that ol’ Maxine, the socialist, will have the dishonor of going where she is directing patriotic Americans.  Isn’t it nice that so many so called representatives of We, The People, show their love in such a manner?  Not to mention their level of maturity.  *shakes head*  I know where I am going, and in all likelihood, Maxine, and those of her ilk…so filled with hatred, won’t be there.

In my opinion, this woman, and all the other who have spewed their vitriol towards those of us who actually believe in this country, it’s founding, and the Constitution, have no business in elected, or appointed office.  They have lost all credibility.  Let’s face it, Obama will do nothing.  Pelosi will do nothing.  It’s even doubtful that Boehner will do anything.  Heaven knows, the media won’t call these people out…..they are just as bad.

So, what should we do?  Well, we could lower ourselves to their level, but I’d rather not.  Or, we can work extremely hard to get people like Maxine Waters out of office.  Such behavior is disgraceful.  We can work doubly hard to get the truth to the uninformed because, you know…. The truth shall set you free!  And shouldn’t we do our best to set our fellow citizens free from the bonds of ignorance?  :D

Heh.  Yeah….I guess I am making some serious progress, even though there is still more pain that I’d like, especially at night when I’d rather be sleeping.  :?   Shoot…reality snap!  I don’t want ANY pain!  NOW!  But oh well….  I did a whole 2.5 miles on a bike that goes nowhere.  I know it doesn’t sound like much, but considering I’ve never even registered a speed on that thing, for it to suddenly start flashing numbers, even the de Sade twins were impressed.  :D

Joe Biden says he has been able ‘to literally meet every major world leader in the last 38 years’

Vice President Joe Biden may have managed to cure his own stammer but he still appears to be pathologically incapable of speaking of his own accomplishments without exaggerating. In an address he made today to students at Sichuan University in China today (full text, as emailed out by the White House, here), he stated that he has had “an opportunity to literally meet every major world leader in the last 38 years”.

Of all the people Barack Hussein could have picked for a running mate, he had to choose the gaffe machine? I keep hearing just how smart Obama is, but I gotta tell ya….anyone who would choose Biden over someone with actual intelligence just can’t be too smart.

Now, I’ve no doubt that Biden has met quite a few world leaders during his way too long a time in Washington, but if he spent as much time meeting with EVERY world leader as it would take, I’ve no doubt, he’d never have the time to keep switching the feet in his mouth.
