I Didn’t Know

We’ve all heard about the heroes that saved lives, and gave their lives, on 9/11, but I have never heard about the boats.

Thank you Maggie for posting this. I have to share it.

More Union Thuggery

Police confirm racial incidents at sugar plant

Police say union supporters have directed racial slurs and racist symbols at replacement workers and security personnel outside an American Crystal Sugar plant in North Dakota.

Traill County Sheriff Mike Crocker says there have been racial statements made to security people outside of the company’s Hillsboro facility. He says he recently saw a monkey-like figure hanging from a noose attached to a large inflatable rat outside the plant. He says it was removed the next day.

I wonder just which way these union thugs vote?  I wonder if they might be on that other side of the political spectrum.  You know the ones….they’re always calling us on the RIGHT side of things names like racist, terrorists, vitriolic….and say we’re violent…things like that.  Do you think we’ll see this on the evening news?  Naw….me neither.    The media wouldn’t dare tell the truth about the supporters of their messiah.

Libya’s Interim Leader Calls for State Based on Rule of Law, Islam

The head of Libya’s interim government urged thousands of cheering supporters in the capital, Tripoli, late Monday to support a civil, democratic state that incorporates Islamic law into its principal legislation.

Mustafa Abdel Jalil called on Libyans to build a state based on the rule of law and avoid reprisal attacks against holdouts of former leader Moammar Gadhafi’s government.

In his first speech in Tripoli, the chairman of the National Transitional Council said his provisional administration seeks “a state of law, prosperity and one where Islamic Sharia law is the basis for legislation.”

Now there is a contradiction if ever I heard one! “Democratic state” and “Islamic Sharia law”?  Pfft!  Congratulations Obama, you’ve succeeded in aiding create another oppression regime.  Way to go, champ!

Just an example:

Marriage and divorce are the most significant aspects of sharia, but criminal law is the most controversial. In sharia, there are categories of offenses: those that are prescribed a specific punishment in the Quran, known as hadd punishments, those that fall under a judge’s discretion, and those resolved through a tit-for-tat measure (ie., blood money paid to the family of a murder victim). There are five hadd crimes: unlawful sexual intercourse (sex outside of marriage and adultery), false accusation of unlawful sexual intercourse, wine drinking (sometimes extended to include all alcohol drinking), theft, and highway robbery. Punishments for hadd offenses–flogging, stoning, amputation, exile, or execution–get a significant amount of media attention when they occur.

Most Americans Have NO Idea What It Means To Be Really Poor!

Surprising Facts about America’s Poor
The Foundry

In his address to the joint session of Congress last week, President Barack Obama called for $477 billion in new federal spending, which he said would give hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged young people hope and dignity while giving their low-income parents “ladders out of poverty.” And today, the U.S. Census released its annual poverty report, which declared that 46.2 million persons, or roughly one in seven Americans, were poor in 2010. What President Obama didn’t tell America as he was pleading for more spending–and what the Census Bureau didn’t report–is what it really means to be poor in America.

Tea Party Debate

Well, I watched it.  From beginning to end.  And honestly, I’m no more impressed with ‘em than I was before, with one exception.  I still like Herman Cain, and I believe, with a lot more exposure, others would see what I see in him.  However, the one who impressed me was Newt.  Yeah, I know….too much baggage, but he is one smart cookie.  Who ever wins the nomination, and prayerfully, wins the election, would do well to appoint Newt to some advisory position.

I thought perhaps Bachmann would shake things up by now, but I’m not getting that from her.  I like her, and I think she’s capable, but without the electricity, I don’t see it happening for her.

And to be honest, I’m pretty sick of both Romney and Perry.  I’m not impressed with either one, however, Perry comes out ahead of Romney, but not by much.  Perry stumbled too much on the illegal issue, providing in state tuition for someone who’s been in the country ILLEGALLY for 3 years?  I don’t flippin’ think so!  I’m still in favor of moats, gators, gun turrets, and land mines!

Huntsman?  Paleeeeeze!  Why he is even on the stage is beyond me.

Santorum.  No zip there.  Something, just can’t put my finger on it, is missing.

Ron Paul?  ‘Nuff said.  :?

Where is that one candidate who can bring us together?  Perhaps he, or she, just hasn’t stepped forward yet.  Well, wherever he/she is hiding, I sure wish he/she would show up….and soon!

Thanks to No Runny Eggs for making it so much more bearable to watch.  :D

U.S. Mum Over Reported Taliban Office in Qatar

The Obama administration kept tight-lipped Monday following reports that the United States had endorsed a plan for the Taliban to open a political office in Qatar by the end of the year.

The Times of London reported Monday that the U.S. is hoping the new office will help move along talks to reconcile insurgents with the government in Kabul. The move comes as the United States looks to withdraw troops from Afghanistan.

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said Monday she would not comment “on those specific reports,” while restating the U.S. position on Afghanistan’s negotiations with Taliban fighters to disarm, a process known as reconciliation.

Well, it’s official.  The government of the United States of American is totally irrelevant.  Completely useless.  They might as well pack their bags and go the hell home!  There is no point in continuing our efforts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, or any other muzzie controlled country.  Might be a good idea to start deporting some people too, but that won’t happen, cuz we’ve become nothing more than a bunch appeasing weasels….to our collective shame!

Recovery Envy Pt. 2

12 September 2011, 4:03 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Just Cuz.

This has been one very strange weekend.  When I went to physical therapy on Friday, I think one of the de Sade triplets pushed my leg just a WEE bit too much, cuz we’re talking about serious pain all weekend.  And all I could do was sleep, and it wasn’t drug induced either.  Not normal, considering I haven’t really slept in months.  :?   Ok, there was that one night I slept a straight six hours, but that was seriously the only time.  Mostly, it’s a couple of hours, wake up, stay awake from 30 minutes to 3 hours, go to sleep an hour or two, wake…  rinse and repeat.  So, for me to sleep about 35 hours out of 48…well, that’s just weird.

So, I go to P/T this afternoon, and asked if my friend, the one that had BOTH knees done, had come in.  Did she do well?  I think she’s trying to make me look bad!  :?   The first day…VERY first day of her outpatient physical therapy, and one of her knees has MORE ‘range of motion’ than my one does after more than 2 months.  sigh….   The other one is almost as good.  Yep!  SERIOUS recovery envy!  Now, don’t get me wrong, I am pickled tink that she is doing so well, and isn’t having the same pain issues that I’ve had to deal with over these past weeks.  The way it looks now, I don’t think I’m going to do much better than 125, at least for now.  Maybe after some time?  But she’s doing 126 on her FIRST therapy session?  *shakes head*  I reckon I’ll just have to live with what I get.  :D

Preserve the Constitution, Now More Than Ever
The Foundry

The Constitution of the United States of America has endured over two centuries. It remains the object of reverence for nearly all Americans and an object of admiration by peoples around the world. Unfortunately, the assault by 20th century liberal theorists and activist judges has seriously undermined respect for America’s core principles, denigrating some constitutional rights they disagree with and making up others.

Fortunately, there has been a renewed interest in the Constitution in recent years, as Americans seek to understand the founding principles and enduring truths that form the bedrock of our chosen form of self-government. Clearly, the future of liberty depends on America reclaiming its constitutional first principles.

I Still Remember Martin

11 September 2011, 5:36 am. Comments Off. Filed under Opinion.

9/11/01 – Martin Morales Zempoaltecatl

zempoaltecatl_martin_morales_2a.jpg

I had never heard this name. There are others that you recognized after hearing them on the news time and time again. People like Todd Beemer, Barbara Olsen, Chick Burlingame. But has anyone ever heard the name Martin Morales Zempoaltecatl? Truth be told, I can’t even pronounce it. I decided to start my search for this young man on Google. It made sense. I typed in the long name, and came up with over 700 hits, the majority were sites listing the names of those who parished on 11 September 2001. They’re long lists. But nothing told me about the person Martin had been. He was 22 years old. Too young to die. He worked as an assistant chef in the Windows of the World. This is all the information I could find. I wanted to know more. Was he married? Did he have children who will never see their daddy again? Where did he come from, what place did he call home, and will never be able to return? I know he lived in Queens. But where in Queens? What were his dreams that will never be fulfilled? I received this picture from the 2996 group, but hadn’t really had a chance to actually look at this young man. The first thing I noticed, as I usually do, are his eyes. He has kind eyes. Was he a kind person? He must have been, he supported his parents. Then I saw a sweet, cheerful smile, and I knew he was a good person. For some reason, I see him liking children, nieces, nephews, the neighborhood kids.

martin-9-11-victim.jpg

Doing a little more digging, I found out Martin was born in Santa Catarina, Tlaxcala, Mexico. He supported his parents, Crescencio Morales, 60, and Mauricia Zempoaltecatl, also 60. Martin was the youngest of their children, and this tragedy hit them quite hard. They have since returned to Mexico. One thing I did discover, as of that article, the family had not received any of the thousands of dollars that had been given so generously by the American people. I hope that has now been resolved. I’d like to find out if the family is now able to care for their other children and grandchildren. This young man evidently wasn’t counted among the slaughtered innocents originally.

zempoaltecatl_martin_morales0a.jpg

This year, I did some more checking, and a little more information about this young man was available. It turns out Martin was not just an employee at the Windows on the World. He was an assistant chef. I’d like to believe he was a really good chef. His niece, Cynthia, sure seemed to believe so:

Martin Morales, my uncle only being 22 years old. He was working in the World Trade center. He was a great chef and a loving uncle. Being the youngest uncle, we were very close to him. Even though we didn’t find his body, his smile will always be in our hearts. We miss him very much!

I pray Martin’s family has found peace, and will tell the new members of their family about this young man. I pray he will never be forgotten. I know he’ll be residing in my heart.

Ten Years Later

11 September 2011, 5:31 am. 2 Comments. Filed under Opinion, Religion of Pieces, War on Terror.

Some have forgotten. Some want to forget. I remember. I want to always remember. I never want to forget. I want to remember those planes, the sight of people jumping to their deaths rather than burn, the feeling of the horror. As Sultan Knish states in his post:

September 11 is not the day we cry, it is the day we get angry. It is the day we remember who our killers were, how many have been lost, and how little has been done to bring down the ideology responsible as completely as they brought the towers down. It is the day we remember not to forget. It is the day we remember that the war has just begun and that until it ends, there can be no comfort or solace. The fight goes on.

Until those in power realize we ARE at war, have been at war long before the planes crashed into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and the field in Shanksville, PA.  There was an almost two hundred year cease fire, but that ended in 1979, and we have been at war ever since.

I don’t want to lose my anger at those who perpetrated this evil.  They are in invading every aspect of public life right here in the U.S.A., the country they have vowed to destroy, and we just sit back and twiddle our thumbs, listening to politicians, and so called ‘church leaders’ tell us it was “just a few who subverted a religion.  It’s not the whole religion!”  It’s not even a religion, unless you consider worshiping evil as a religion.  It’s a cult, a political cult, and it must not be allowed an even bigger foothold into our nation.

No, I don’t have to be tolerant of evil.  And that’s what it is….pure evil.  I’d suggest that those who sincerely believe that those who committed this heinous act, “hijacked” a peaceful religion, do a bit more studying.  Read their so called holy books, their laws, look at the nations who practice this ‘religion’ and tell me they are peaceful and tolerant.  I will call you a liar.  Granted there are millions who say they don’t subscribe to the whole convert or die order.  There are many millions of others who will freely admit that is their intent.  They are also commanded to LIE to the ‘infidels’.  That would be you and me.  The non-muslim.  Thanks, but I already have a God, and a Savior.  I won’t be bowing my knee to Satan.

Have we learned nothing in these last ten years? It doesn’t appear so. It’s time to wake up! Remember who hates you. Remember who wants to murder your children. And it’s not the Buddhist. It is not the Hindus. It is not the Jews. It is not the Christians. It is the muslims!

The good doctor may be one of the very few that does NOT subscribe to the violence promoted by his religion. I think perhaps he is sincere, yet sadly misinformed about the history of his religion. I pray he will wake up to the reality of what is truly happening in his “faith”, and perhaps turn to a true religion that promotes peace.

Psalm 1

11 September 2011, 5:00 am. Comments Off. Filed under Faith.

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
