This Ain’t No Tea Party!
Wall Street Protesters Clash With Police in New York, Denver
Protesters in New York and Denver clashed with authorities as at least 38 arrests were made early Friday near Occupy Wall Street encampments.
Police in New York said they made at least 14 arrests after a few hundred protesters marched through lower Manhattan near Zuccotti Park, where a planned cleaning on Friday had been postponed by the city’s deputy mayor.
In one incident, an NYPD scooter accidently struck a protester, causing him to fall to the ground screaming before kicking the vehicle over to free his foot. He was then arrested.
Most of the arrests occurred near Broadway and Exchange Place. Charges were pending, but some protesters obstructed traffic or overturned trash cans and hurled bottles.
Nope. Definitely is NOT anything like a Tea Party. At a Tea Party rally, there are no clashes with police, no throwing bottles and turning over trash cans. There are no arrests. There is no pile up of garbage. There is no obstructing traffic. There is no violence, unless, of course, you don’t count the union thugs who CAUSE violence.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Brookfield Properties — which owns Zuccotti Park, where protesters have been camped out for a month — could still go ahead with an official cleanup if no deal is reached with protesters. Bloomberg said the city was notified shortly before midnight that Brookfield wanted to postpone the cleanup of the park, adding that owners hoped to work out an agreement with the protesters.
Are they kidding? Work out a deal? No, what you do is evict the slobs. If they don’t leave, you bring in the police. If they don’t go peacefully, you drag their sorry dope smoking asses out. They give you grief, you slap the cuffs on them, and haul them off to jail. It’s not that complicated.
At a Tea Party:
Occupy Wall Street:
Notice any differences?
When the Tea Party patriots stood up against more taxation, bigger government, and more intrusion into our lives in 2009, we were condemned by the likes of Nancy Pelosi as “astroturf”. We are called vile names by both politicians and pundits. We were accused of being violent, yet no violence was ever seen by the lame stream. They just said it, in hopes that people would believe we are, which we are not. We had no financial backing from any large corporations. No one paid our way to go to any rally. We paid our own way. Few of us are what you would call rich. Most are just middle class working folks who are tired of the government ignoring the Constitution, or using it to wipe their hind ends.
Now that the socialists have come out in a number of cities across the country, Pelosi is all praises for those who want to destroy a system that has worked well, when the government does not intrude. The majority of those who are camping out on Wall Street have no idea why they are there. Some are being encouraged by their professors to join in. Professors, I might add, who are indoctrinating kids towards socialism. There are even some, who don’t even speak English, being paid to carry signs. The unions are busing in even more socialists.
Tea Partiers, just plain every day folks, attend by their own choice, using their own money. Occupy Wall Street, or Days of Rage if you want to get technical, is being funded by the deep pockets of unions, supported by the CPUSA, Peoples Worker Party, etc. Excuse me Mzzzzzzzzzzzz Pelosi, but which one is ‘astroturf’? Personal opinion, all that botox and plastic surgery has caused brain damage, and it would be a real good idea if you retire quietly to your wine vineyard, instead of bumping your gums, spewing lies.
I have attended quite a few Tea Party events. There were very few police in evidence. Why? Because, obviously, the police know we aren’t violent, nor are we likely to start any trouble. And they were usually quite friendly. On the other hand, when you have any size group of leftists, there is ALWAYS a large police presence. Why? Because they know there WILL be trouble.
After nearly 3 years, yes, the Tea Party has garnered some support for our efforts by certain groups who also believe in liberty. But it didn’t start out that way. What money that was used at the beginning came from donations from people like me, $5 or $10 at a time. We didn’t have a George Soros with his finger in every explosive pie.
Note this: We WILL fight if we have to. We’d rather not though. We’d prefer to have a peaceful ‘revolution’ to return our nation back into the Republic as it was founded. However, do not consider our peacefulness as a weakness. Our forefathers fought and died to save our country from communism and fascists. We believe our rights and liberties come from God Almighty, not the government. We are willing to fight to prevent the evil that has taken a foothold in our nation. And if necessary, to die, for the sake of our children’s future freedoms.
So Simply Stated
The folks who are getting the free stuff don’t like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff. And, the folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop. And the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!
Now… the people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.
So… the people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff and giving them the free stuff in the first place.
We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.
Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason?
The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.
The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 231 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that in 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

ObamaCare – The Job Killer
Why Obamacare Might Cost You a Job
The Foundry
Back in February 2010, when Congress was still debating the Obamacare legislation, then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) proclaimed to America that the law “will create 400,000 jobs almost immediately.” But according to a new report by Heritage’s James Sherk, Obamacare will have the opposite effect, pricing many unskilled workers out of full-time employment due to the law’s requirement that employers offer health benefits to full-time employees.
According to Sherk, the minimum cost of employing full-time workers under Obamacare amounts to an average of $27,500, more than what many unskilled employees produce. He explains in his paper, “Obamacare Will Price Less Skilled Workers Out of Full-Time Jobs” why increased costs will lead employers to shift to employing part-time workers:
After paying the new health premiums, the minimum wage, payroll taxes, and unemployment insurance taxes, hiring a full-time worker will cost employers at least $10.03 per hour. Full-time workers with family health plans will cost $13.75 per hour.
Employers who hire workers with productivity below these rates will lose money. Businesses employing less skilled workers will probably respond by dumping their employees onto the federally subsidized health care exchanges and replacing full-time positions with part-time jobs.
Fewer full-time jobs in favor of more part-time positions is not what America needs, particularly as it struggles with a stagnant economy, 9.1 percent unemployment, and 14 million people out of work. But just when the United States needs businesses to expand, grow, and invest, Obamacare is piling on the costs and regulations–making it more difficult for businesses to create new jobs.

San Francisco Restaurants Want To Make 25% Standard Tip Rate
It’s a question many of us ask when we go out to a restaurant. “How much should I tip?” Whether your service is good or bad, San Francisco Restaurant workers want to implement a 25% standard tip onto your bill for you. Is this fair?
Many in the food industry say “…yes, it’s about time.” However, many “foodies” are not as happy with the idea. According to an article in the San Jose Mercury News, for the most part, people, on average tip between 15% – 20% and the restaurant worker actually has to claim 15% of that to the IRS.
Opinions that sway against the increase said that “…the whole purpose of a tip is to reward service.” They feel the new tip increase should be earned and if more is needed, then they must step up their service so that the increase justifies a larger tip amount.
If San Fransisco restaurants want their workers to earn more money, they can pay them more. Asking your clientele to pay 25% of their bill for someone doing their job is a bit ridiculous. To be honest, there are few in the service industry that actually EARNS the minimum tip these days.
We use to eat out quite a bit. We’ve had good service, which was amply rewarded, and we’ve had some wait people who should have been out digging ditches instead of waiting on tables, and were also rewarded with exactly what they earned with their service…..ZILCH! Ok, not exactly true. We would usually leave a dime or two. Hey…why should we reward really bad service monetarily? No one should have to!
Customer service in most every industry isn’t what it use to be. Most seem to act like they are doing you a favor by even acknowledging your presence. At one time, customer service was really service. I miss those days.
I’m one of those people who actually will tip housekeeping at a motel for good service. That doesn’t seem to be the norm anymore though. That’s ok. I’ll still do it.
Most people will actually leave a larger than required tip for staff that smiles, is helpful, answers questions patiently, and lets the customer feel appreciated. Unless the waitstaff can do that, then I see no point in leaving more than a 5 or 10% tip…..if that much. Train your staff! If they do their job well, you reward them with a bonus. If they lose customers for you, can their hides. It’s that simple.
It’s Official!
I’m actually old. sigh… Well, not that old, but I should be, shouldn’t I. I mean, after all, I’m going to be a GREAT grandmother! UGH! Yep…the eldest granddaughter is preggers, due 8 March, or there abouts. Yesterday, we found out it’s a boy. So, what did I do today while wandering through Wal Mart, looking for something else? Yep…you got it! Walked straight into the baby department. sigh… The one thing that totally bugs me is that if you are looking for girl stuff, there is a TON. Little boys? Pfft! Very little. However…. I did manage to find a couple of things that just couldn’t be passed up!

Now you know there has to be camo in this kid’s future, right? Heh. Hey, at least I’m going to wait a while before he gets his first gun, ok?
It would probably be wise if I stay out of the baby department for a while.
Sigh…. Seriously….I’m not old enough for this!
I Don’t Think So!
Hey, Tea Partiers, Go Join Occupy Wall Street
What’s the hold-up? Tea Party supporters should add their passionate voices to the growing protests on Wall Street.
Get down there immediately! A movement is being born! Why should the granola crowd get all the credit and have all the fun?
Occupy Wall Street and the Tea Party: It’s a grass-roots coalition that is just begging to be made. It’s the also perfect opportunity to fulfill the second half of the Tea Party credo, addressing the excesses of Big Business along with those Big Government.
Most Tea Partiers understand. Government almost never acts alone. There’s an unholy alliance between those two bloated institutions that is responsible for many our problems today. As the voices of citizens are finally being raised effectively, neither institution deserves a free pass.
Over and over again, we’ve seen how intertwined Washington and Wall Street have become, each serving the other, each protecting its own. It make no sense to rail against TARP and the Wall Street bailouts without also targeting the big banks and others who soaked up all those millions in taxpayer funds.
Read the rest here.
No, this is NOT a grass roots movement. This is a well organized action planned by socialists, communists, and your ever popular union thugs. While there are some issues in common, the majority of those stinking up Wall Street, have no clue why they are even there. The majority of Tea Partiers actually work and pay their bills. They can’t just pick up and go off to camp out in New York, or any where else. They are called responsible adults.
On the other hand, you have people who evidently don’t much care about their responsibilities. If they have jobs, they just left them. If they are students, obviously, their education doesn’t mean much to them. Well, truth be told, those so called institutions of higher learning are pretty useless when it comes right down to it anyway. Reality doesn’t enter into those classrooms. Just more brain washing for the “progressive agenda”, aka socialism. And they want that useless education for free? Nothing is free boys and girls. Someone always has to pay.
Tea Partiers want the government to shrink back to it’s Constitutional roots, and leave them in peace to live their lives as they see fit. The OWS seems to want MORE government. Many I have seen interviewed gave the impression they thought the government should take care of every aspect of their lives.
Yep….there are HUGE differences. So, no, Tea Partiers should not join those on Wall Street, and other cities around the country.

Jobs Plan Fails, but Obama Doesn’t Get the Message
The Foundry
When President Barack Obama began his Midwest “jobs tour” in August, he set out to campaign for the passage of a yet-to-be-released plan to turn around the country’s stagnant economy. But after the details of that plan emerged–more stimulus spending and higher taxes–and when the Democrat-controlled Senate put the measure up for a vote this week, the President’s plan was defeated. Even members of the President’s own party opposed more taxing and spending as a way of pulling America out of its unemployment ditch.
Take Senator Jim Webb (D-VA), for example. The Hill reports that he opposes raising taxes on ordinary income during a time of recession and that the federal government should encourage people to invest in the economy instead of raising their income taxes. In Webb’s own words:
I strongly believe that the way to bring good jobs back is to improve our economy in the private sector, and that means more capital investment. Winston Churchill once said something to the effect that you can’t tax your way out of an economic downturn any more than you can pick up a bucket if you’re standing in it.
Others from the left, too, staked out opposition to the bill. Senator Joe Lieberman (I-CT) took issue with the new spending the President proposed. “The bottom line here is that I don’t believe the potential in this act for creating jobs justifies adding another $500 billion to our almost $15 trillion national debt.”
Ann on the Flea Party
Wingless, Bloodsucking and Parasitic: Meet the Flea Party!
by Ann Coulter
So far, the only major accomplishment of the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters is that it has finally put an end to their previous initiative, “Occupy Our Mothers’ Basements.”
Oddly enough for such a respectable-looking group — a mixture of adolescents looking for a cause, public sector union members, drug dealers, criminals, teenage runaways, people who have been at every protest since the Berkeley Free Speech Movement, people 95 percent of whose hair is concentrated in their ponytails, Andrea Dworkin? look-alikes and other average Democrats — they can’t even explain what they’re protesting.
The protesters either treat inquiries about their purpose as a trick question, or — worse — instantly rattle off a series of insane causes: “No. 1, abolish capitalism; No. 2, because 9/11 was an inside job; No. 3, because Mumia is innocent …”
Curiously, the only point universally agreed upon by the protesters and their admirers in the Democratic Party and the mainstream media is that “Occupy Wall Street” should be compared to the tea party. Yes, that would be the same tea party that has been denounced and slandered by the Democratic Party and the mainstream media for the lastthree years.
Democrat Lies
A while back, there was a saying going around, seen on t-shirts and hats, “It’s a black thang. You wouldn’t understand.” I always thought that was a rather odd thing to be wearing, since we’re all suppose to be American, and segregation was ended quite a while ago. So, I often wondered why people wanted to put a wall up between themselves and their fellow Americans, no matter the skin tone. The older I’ve gotten, the more I’ve learned, and I’d like to think I’ve gotten a wee bit wiser.
I came across a couple of columns by a young fellow named Ron Miller, who explains the reasoning behind the division. His answers are not surprising, but I find it disturbing that the lies are growing, and actually being taught in taxpayer funded public schools.
Take the time to read these two columns:
Brainwashed, Incurious, Hard-Hearted or Bamboozled? Part I: Setting the Stage
“Brainwashed, Incurious, Hard-Hearted or Bamboozled?” Part II–The Great Flim-Flam
Herman Cain was right. There are people in this country who have been brainwashed. If the education system and the media actually did their jobs, we would have well informed citizenry who would use their vote wisely. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case.
The Great Maple Syrup Caper
Vt. Sen. Leahy to seek maple protection law
U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy says he’s planning to introduce legislation to make it a federal crime for people to mislabel products as containing maple syrup.
I say we make it a federal crime for morons to hold public office.
Leahy said Tuesday the legislation is needed to protect Vermont’s maple crop from fraud.
The move came in the aftermath of a recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration investigation that found a man who had been selling fake Vermont “maple” syrup, when the product contained no syrup.
No, I don’t think people should be allowed to sell ‘fake syrup’. Nor do I believe that Leahy should be wasting folks from Tennessee tax dollars. We don’t make maple syrup here as best I know. This issue is between Vermont, the bad guy, and the FDA. Don’t both the Democrats and Republicans have something better to do, like maybe fix this mess they pushed on us? Sheesh!
Obama Fail…..As Usual!
Obama’s Failure to Confront the Iranian Threat
The Foundry
Yesterday, America learned that Iran conspired to launch a terrorist attack in Washington, D.C., with a planned assassination of the Saudi ambassador and bomb attacks on the Saudi and Israeli embassies. U.S. authorities disrupted the plot and have brought charges against the men who planned to carry out the attack, but the audacity of Iran’s actions highlights a disturbing truth: The Obama Administration has done far too little to deter state-sponsored terrorism, and it has utterly failed to confront the Iranian threat.
Not one month ago, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stood before the United Nations General Assembly in New York City and delivered a speech rife with hatred of the United States, September 11 conspiracy theories, anti-Semitism, and Holocaust denials. His diatribe at the U.N. has become an annual ritual, but as we learned yesterday, this year’s performance occurred all while Ahmadinejad’s government was seeking to attack the United States–a fact that President Barack Obama was made aware of in June of this year.
