Yep, I Watched It

Why?  Well, I’m not really sure.  The only thing I thought was a positive was the fact they all seems a lot more comfortable sitting around the table.  As for the panel asking the questions?  What a bunch of doofus’.  That was Charlie Rose?  Dang!  He got OLD!  Who decided he would make a good moderator?  And that older woman…..was that a clone of Helen Thomas? What a rude bunch.  Why ask a question if you aren’t going to allow the person to finish the answer, and keep interrupting. Not very professional, IMHO.

Ok, so what did I take away from this debate?  Not a whole lot, actually.  Newt Gingrich is an extremely smart dude, but I had figured that out before. If I could just get past that couch scenario.

Michelle Bachmann looked washed out. She shouldn’t wear either red or white. They just aren’t her colors. Her answers? Well, did you know she raised 28 some odd kids? And is a tax lawyer? sigh…

Rick Santorum gave some good answers, when they allowed him to answer. :?

The focus on Mitt Romney is really starting to irritate me. Just because THEY consider him the front runner doesn’t mean he actually is! If he’s the front runner, why hasn’t he won any straw polls? HUH HUH HUH???

Rick Perry did a bit better this time around, but he didn’t strike any bells with me. Not sure why.

Huntsman? Well, he did deliver a good line about so much gas in D.C. Other than that, he still doesn’t impress me.

Herman Cain was definitely pushing his 9-9-9 plan. It occurred to me that this plan doesn’t take into consideration any local taxes. Would that 9% sales tax be on top of any local sales tax? Here in our area, we already pay 9.25% in sales tax. That would make everything we buy cost 9% more. I have a problem with that. :? Other than that, I REALLY like Cain. If he can clear that up for me…..

And then there’s Ron Paul. sigh… It’s a shame the man is so dadburn flaky. Has anyone found out if he’s suffering from early onset of Alzheimers?

Well, right now, I’m leaning towards Gingrich and Cain. I have not made up my mind, so I’m not endorsing anyone. I’m keeping an open mind.

Thanks to Shoebox over at No Runny Eggs for making watching the debate so entertaining.  :D

One piece of good news I got today….my battery is good for another 3 years and 10 months.  Heh.

They Don’t Like It! They Really, Really Don’t Like It!

Obama’s Jobs Bill Fails to Advance in Senate Despite White House Push

President Obama’s $447 billion jobs bill failed to clear a procedural hurdle in the Democratic-controlled Senate Tuesday night despite a White House push that accelerated in the 11th hour.

The bill received a simply majority of 51 votes but fell short of the necessary 60 to end debate. Sens. Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Jon Tester of Montana were the only Democrats to vote against the bill. Both of them are facing tough re-election campaigns next year.

Sen. Jim Webb, D-Va., had said earlier that although he intended to vote in favor of ending the Republican filibuster, he did not intend to support the bill if it reached a final vote.

Y’know….it’s pretty bad when even your own side thinks your ideas suck.  That should tell him something, but D’Bama’s ego is so big, he’ll learn NO lesson.  Let’s face it!  The man doesn’t have a clue how to fix the economic problems, even though he has been told repeatedly.  Pretty pathetic.

A Lone Wolf?

Aimless Obama walks alone

The reports are not good, disturbing even. I have heard basically the same story four times in the last 10 days, and the people doing the talking are in New York and Washington and are spread across the political spectrum.

The gist is this: President Obama has become a lone wolf, a stranger to his own government. He talks mostly, and sometimes only, to friend and adviser Valerie Jarrett and to David Axelrod, his political strategist.

Everybody else, including members of his Cabinet, have little face time with him except for brief meetings that serve as photo ops. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner both have complained, according to people who have talked to them, that they are shut out of important decisions.

Read the whole column here.   Well, worth your time.  It seems he’s run out of people to blame, and we all know he won’t take responsibility for his own actions.  He can campaign, but he doesn’t have a clue how to govern, or lead.  His roundabout way of supporting the Communists who are doing the “occupying” says a lot about him.  The bills he ‘introduces’ are typically incoherent, filled with tax increases, and favors his fellow socialists.  This is not a man who is presidential.  He hasn’t been since day 1.  I honestly hope the American people will wake up from their stupor, and see Barack Hussein Obama for what he really is…..a petty, dangerous child!  He has succeeded in devouring what was left of “The American Dream”.

Free Trade Agreements Are A Win for Prosperity
The Foundry

Free trade agreements (FTAs) have economically benefited nations the world over since their inception. Poverty rates in countries with low trade barriers are significantly lower, and data in The Heritage Foundation’s Index of Economic Freedom demonstrate that free trade also leads to higher incomes, more jobs, and greater equality.

That’s why it’s vitally important to quickly enact the three pending U.S. trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea. These FTAs have been sitting on the President’s desk since 2007 for no good reason. President Obama has finally made them a priority by sending them to Congress last Monday night.

Lemons

9 October 2011, 8:37 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Chuckles.

Sally of Coral Springs, Florida decided to take one of the jobs that most Americans are not willing to do.

The woman applying for a job in a Florida lemon grove seemed to be far too qualified for the job.

She had a liberal arts degree from the University of Michigan and had worked as a social worker and school teacher.

The foreman frowned and said, “I have to ask you, have you had any actual experience in picking lemons?”

“Well, as a matter of fact, I have! I’ve been divorced 3 times, owned 2 Chryslers and voted for Obama.”

Isaiah 59:1-8

9 October 2011, 5:00 am. Comments Off. Filed under Faith.

1 Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.
4 No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.
5 They hatch vipers’ eggs and weave the spider’s web; He who eats of their eggs dies, And from that which is crushed a viper breaks out.
6 Their webs will not become garments, Nor will they cover themselves with their works; Their works are works of iniquity, And the act of violence is in their hands.
7 Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.

Atheists Demand City Remove Cross in Tennessee
By Todd Starnes

The mayor of Whiteville, Tenn. said his community is under attack from a national atheist organization that is threatening to sue unless they remove a cross atop the town’s water tower.

“They are terrorists as far as I’m concerned,” said Mayor James Bellar about the Freedom From Religion Foundation. “They are alleging that some Whiteville resident feels very, very intimidated by this cross.”

The mayor told Fox News Radio that the cross was erected on the town’s water tower about eight years ago by a private group of citizens. They collected private donations to cover the costs.
It’s just a cross on the water tower,” he said. “All we’re doing is exercising our right to practice our beliefs down here but this organization is now going to stymie that. We’re not out here knocking on doors trying to convert people.”

But the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation said the cross is a violation of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. They’ve given the mayor until the end of October to remove the cross. If he refuses, they have threatened to sue.

“The law is very clear on this,” Freedom From Religion Foundation co-president Dan Barker told Fox News Radio. “A secular city may not promote or hinder religion. We don’t have a problem with believers putting up crosses wherever they want, but this is a cross put up by the city on the city water tower.”

What law would that be? A group of private citizens put a cross on a water tower that they pay for through their own tax money. How is that breaking any law? And who says the city is secular? One thing I’ve learned since moving to Tennessee, there are few cities or towns that could be called secular. Oh sure, there might be a few folks who are idiots like the ‘Freedom from Religion’ bunch, but they are few and far between.

Us folks down here in the South would much appreciate it if you Yankees would keep your godless noses out of our business.  Y’all might want to look towards your own salvation, and stop messing in other peoples lives.  We know Who is in charge, and it ain’t you!

Spoiled “Gimmee” Tiddy Babies

7 October 2011, 3:18 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Opinion.

I have pretty much ignored those spoiled children who believe they are a ‘voice’ for every day Americans. But sometimes, ya just gotta say something.

I remember the 60s all too well. I guess these children are following in those ‘radicals’ footsteps? When will the buildings start blowing up by homemade bombs? From what I can gather, the kids are just dirty, messy, and totally clueless.  It’s quite apparent, they have no idea how the economy works!

The American Dream has been stolen from the world. Workers are told that they aren’t allowed health care, shelter, food. Students are told that they aren’t allowed jobs, and that they will be in debt for the rest of their lives, unable to declare bankruptcy. The 1% has destroyed this nation and its values through their greed. The 1% has stolen this world. We will not allow this to occur.

Seriously? LMAO  The 1% has stolen their dream of utopia?  Hey….kids…. if you are serious, I can name a few countries that would just love to have y’all come on over and live in their ‘workers paradise’.  China comes to mind, as does Cuba.  Then, there is Venezuela, headed by Hollyweird’s hero, Hugo Chavez.

It’s that top tier earners who are the ones who creates the jobs.  If these CEOs are taxed heavily, as these punks are demanding, then there will be fewer jobs.  They want government to take care of them.  Well, who is the government?  Is it those elected officials that sit up there in D.C. in their cushy offices, making decisions that affect our day to day lives?  Partially  And they have done a pretty lousy job of it.  Why are they not protesting in front of the Capital?  That is where the real damage has been done.  They are the ones who have stolen those sad little protesters ‘dream’.

However, in the long run, WE are the government.  It is our money that funds all those useless programs the politicians keep thrusting down our throats, whether we want them or not.  And WE don’t want to support you worthless blood suckers.  WE want y’all to succeed on your own merits.  I really don’t think that’s too much to ask, is it?

Take a listen to this rocket scientist!  I have no idea who the interviewer is, or what organization she represents, but apparently, she too, has problems with reality.  Gushing over stupidity is pretty pathetic.

I seriously doubt the girl has one iota of what she is advocating. Socialism and communism kills! Labor unions might think they are under attack, but for the past 40 years, it’s the labor unions who have been doing the attacking. They are a large part of the problem. More and more demands from them have run businesses out of the country. They have bankrupted cities, counties and states with their ever increasing ‘you owe me’ mentality.

The Tea Party, which really began as a grass roots movements, has been much maligned by both elected politicians, and the lame stream media. Oddly, both are now praising a bunch of malcontent, basement dwellers, and union thugs, backed by such organizations as SEIU and TWA.  While the Tea Parties are not financed by anyone, except those involved, this bunch has many powerful ‘friends’ footing the bill.  Likely numerous George Soros financed organizations have aided and abetted this joke of a ‘protest’.   No one pays Tea Partiers to attend rallies.  We all pay our own way.  Organizations like Tea Party Express are funded by donations, some big and many small.

The left’s hero, Barack Hussein Obama, has raked in millions from Wall Street fat cats, yet these kids are protesting the very ones who helped put their messiah in office?  I’m very confused.  Some of their ‘demands‘ are also confusing.  Not because I don’t understand what they are saying, but because it is so obvious they have no idea how the real world works.  Yes, actually, you DO look like imbeciles.

Here’s a clue….  Learn a needed skill, and you’ll find a job.  Once you have that job, start saving your money for emergencies and your own retirement.  Pay your bills, become a productive part of society, and learn that when you vote for closet socialists, aka Democrats, your dream will likely never be achieved.
