I was always taught that treason was a very serious offense, but now I come to see that in my old age it is in fact a joke. Who knew? Something changed somewhere along the way. People used to be shot for these sorts of things, with very quick judgements and executions immediately following.
Now see, I always thought that it was a serious offense m’self. Reckon we’re both wrong. I mean, after all, when you have an administration that commits acts that should be considered treason on a regular basis, evidently, it’s no big deal anymore.
