The End Of The World?
Another Mayan Relic Points to 2012 Doomsday Prediction
Mexican archaeologists have acknowledged a discovery of second reference to a 2012 apocalypse in a carved fragment found at a southern Mayan ruin site but downplayed the predicted end of the world scenario next year as nothing but a Western interpretation.
The National Institute of Anthropology and History said in a statement that the date of the apocalypse has been found in a carved or molded face of a brick in the Comalcalco ruin in the southern part of the country. The only surviving reference to the 2012 date is found in a stone tablet from the Tortuguero site in the state of Tabasco.
The Comalcalco Brick had been found years ago and had been analyzed thoroughly. It is being kept in storage in the institute. The Tortuguero and Comalcalco inscriptions are estimated to be around 1,300 years old.
The Mayans were a very interesting, and quite advanced, civilization. I mean, take a look at what they were able to build, and are still standing, where the jungle hasn’t totally obliterated. We can’t seem to build anything that lasts more than a few years before it turns to garbage. Seriously, do you think anything we have built will be around in 1300 years? Not bloody likely. Let’s face it, we build crap.
The 2012 predicted apocalypse date has been the subject of intense debate among archaeologists and doomsday theorists. It’s worth noting that the Mesoamerican calendar doesn’t really predict an apocalypse. The Mayans used several calendars and their longest period calendar, the “Long Count” started all the end of the world theories. The Long Count calendar was used by the Maya to document dates beyond 52 years. It began in 3114 B.C. and marked time in 394-year time periods known as Baktuns. The 13th Baktun ends around Dec. 21, 2012. Nowhere did the Maya say that the world was going to end by the 13th Baktun. It was just a special future anniversary because the number 13 was a sacred number for the Mayans.
Ok, I just couldn’t resist! 
There is no doubt that our world is going through some serious changes, and I have no doubt even greater changes are coming. All you have to do is read the Bible, and you’ll find today’s headlines right there in a book that was written a long time ago. Whether or not the earth itself will be destroyed, or, as I believe, we are coming to the End Times, there WILL be some major changes. Will it be in December of 2012? Who knows. That’s totally up to God.

Obama Keeps Turning His Back on Jobs

This week, President Obama is again set to make a pitch for his latest plan to stimulate the economy, but meanwhile he is turning his back on projects that would put tens or even hundreds of thousands Americans to work. And he’s doing it all to appease his left-wing, environmentalist base at the expense of domestic energy production.
Heritage’s Rob Bluey reported last week on a new finding by a New Orleans-based group that the Obama administration is approving just 35 percent of the oil drilling plans for the Gulf of Mexico so far this year. It is also taking an average of 115 days — nearly four months — to secure approval from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement. Those numbers are a sharp drop from previous years, well below the historical average 73.4 percent approval rate and 61 days it takes to approve plans. And for plans that require drilling activity, the numbers are even worse with an average approval time of 222 days.
So Simple….
….even a Democrat can understand! Or a Republican, for that matter.

Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank Will Not Seek Re-Election
Longtime Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., will announce his retirement Monday at an afternoon press conference in Newton, Mass.
The 16-term lawmaker, whose name is emblazoned on the banking reform law that passed Congress last year, had long been rumored to be ready for retirement. He was previously chairman of the House Financial Services Committee but is now ranking member since Democrats lost the majority in the 2010 midterm election.
And He truly DOES love us! Now, if we could just get the criminal behind bars, where he, and many of his colleagues belong! What they have done to this country is CRIMINAL!

Three U.S. Students Arrested in Egypt On Their Way Home
Three American students arrested during a protest in Cairo caught flights out of Egypt early Saturday, according to an airport official and an attorney for one of the trio.
The three Americans were arrested on the roof of a university building near Cairo’s Tahrir Square last Sunday. Officials accused them of throwing firebombs at security forces fighting with protesters.
Luke Gates, 21, and Derrik Sweeney, 19, left the Egyptian capital Saturday on separate flights to Frankfurt, Germany, an airport official in Cairo said. Gregory Porter, 19, also left the country, his attorney said.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief reporters.
An Egyptian court ordered the release of Gates, Porter Sweeney on Thursday. All were studying at the American University in Cairo.
Whether or not these kids did what they are accused of, I have to ask…considering the volatility of the entire region right now, why the blazes did their parents send their children over there? And that’s what they are….children! We have heard numerous times, they do not like Americans! What kind of parent would allow their child to jump off a bridge?

Many good reasons why I will NOT EVER go out shopping on “Black Friday“! EVER! People are INSANE!
What has happened to us? We use to be polite, practically genteel, and now? A bunch of freakin’ animals! This is NOT what Christmas is about! And I refuse to demean myself, or others, by participating in a free for all over THINGS! Things we don’t need, and typically, don’t even want!
Added: This is quite indicative of who we have become. More than just pathetic, it’s almost criminal!

Being held accountable for your own actions is evidently not something Chicago teacher union president is use to. Well, ya better get use to it, because WE, The People, are pretty fed up with the thug tactics of unions, nationwide! This is a representation of the type of people who are in charge of your child’s education. Just remember that when your child comes home from school being more ignorant than when he, or she, left that morning!
Somebody Screwed Up…..Royally!
Well, I finally got around to going through the mail, and much to my surprise, I received something I NEVER expected to see addressed to me!
Say whut? Excuse me???????????? Planned Parenthood??? Murderers of innocent babies????? First, how the blazes did they get my name and address?? Ok….have calmed down, and opened the envelope. First thing I see is a letter:

Friend? FRIEND??????? Do they not know who they are dealing with here? *gritting teeth*
As we approach the end of this roller-coaster year, I want to thank you your past support. With the help of our members, this year we showed the world that no matter what tactic our opponents tried, they couldn’t stop Planned Parenthood from being there for women.
I beg your pardon? “Past support”? Who the devil do they think they send this garbage to? Josef Mengele? NO past support! NO current support! NO future support!!! EVER! “Tactics”? I guess telling the TRUTH is a tactic. So be it! And the murder of babies has NOTHING to do with women’s health!
And they couldn’t prevent us from making progress either. One of the most significant gains for women’s health was achieved this year when the Department of Health and Human Services ruled that birth control will be covered with no co-pays under the new health care reforms.
Oh yes… y’all made progress alright. Slaughtering more innocent children, destroying the lives of countless women. Uh huh. When the NEW president is sworn in on 20 January 2013, I pray the very first thing he, or she, will do is start the repeal process with the Republican controlled House and Senate!
Planned Parenthood led the fight that secured this historic victory on behalf of the millions of women who have trouble paying for birth control. And we are especially relieved that common sense prevailed in this matter – because it is in short supply elsewhere.
No doubt, Margaret Sanger is quite proud. You remember Sanger, right? That would be the founder of the American Birth Control League, which became Planned Parenthood. She was the one who pushed for murdering black babies in the womb, cuz ya know, “I associated poverty, toil, unemployment, drunkenness, cruelty, quarreling, fighting, debts, jails with large families.”
On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
“…human weeds,’ ‘reckless breeders,’ ‘spawning… human beings who never should have been born.” Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people
On sterilization & racial purification:
Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial “purification,” couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.
On the right of married couples to bear children:
Couples should be required to submit applications to have a child, she wrote in her “Plan for Peace.” Birth Control Review, April 1932
On the purpose of birth control:
The purpose in promoting birth control was “to create a race of thoroughbreds,” she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)
On the rights of the handicapped and mentally ill, and racial minorities:
“More children from the fit, less from the unfit — that is the chief aim of birth control.” Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12
On the extermination of blacks:

The woman was evil, and I’ve no doubt she has her own special corner in hell! Ugh! I had to stop reading it. I didn’t want to lose the contents of my stomach from the last 6 months!
The second thing I found in the envelope was what I hoped to find….a pre-paid envelope. 
The last item was a “check” made payable to Planned Parenthood. Actually, there were two. One in the amount of $25 and one for $50. Plus, the “2011 Matching Grant Challenge” that I guess I’m suppose to fill out and return with a check of my own. FAT CHANCE! Oh, I’m going to return it all to them, alright, but I can assure you, it’s not going to be what they are expecting. You see, we have a paper shredder that is going to be put to good use, along with a note to remove my name and address from their mailing list, along with a few choice words. Oh, don’t worry, I won’t use any four lettered words, but I will make sure they are very aware of my opinion of their organization!

A Day of ‘Public Thanksgiving and Prayer’

Most of us have heard or read at least part of Abraham Lincoln’s Thanksgiving proclamation at some point. But even those who have heard it many times can overlook two important aspects of this important document.
The first is its timing: October 3, 1863. The nation had already endured two years of appalling carnage on the battlefields of the Civil War. And although Gettysburg and the fall of Vicksburg seemed to mark a turning point in favor of the Union, there was no clear light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, much more blood would be shed in the months ahead.
And yet President Lincoln paused at this time of unimaginable crisis not only to urge Americans to give thanks, but to note how blessed our nation is. “The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies,” the first sentence reads. He lists those blessings in terms so strong and soaring one could almost forget this was one of our nation’s darkest hours.
