Was a 5th Grader Kicked Out of His Elementary School for Saying a Local Newscaster Resembles Barack Obama?

The guy dressed in the suit and tie, smiling and shaking a bevy of hands, caught Grayson Thomas’ eye.

Grayson wasn’t alone. Teachers and other students at Stevenson Ranch Elementary School couldn’t take their eyes off the lunchtime visitor, either.

Grayson, a fifth-grader at the campus near Santa Clarita, Ca., noticed the gentleman’s outward characteristics: Tall and lean. Good looking. Charismatic. Charming. Energetic.

Then he made a fatal error: Grayson, 11, pulled a little “made you look” joke on a schoolmate seated next to him, saying something along the lines of “Obama’s visiting our school today,” referring to the magnetic figure holding court nearby.

If ya look close, there is a startling resemblance.  So?  What’s the problem?

According to Grayson’s dad, Darren Thomas (who provided the previous details), what happened next was scary: Word of his son’s Obama-Schauble comparison spread to Schauble’s daughter, Shelbi, who was sharing lunch with her newsman father. And Shelbi was uncomfortable with Grayson’s statement, saying it felt racist.

“It felt racist”?  What the blazes does THAT mean???? Is it the kid’s fault that people are ignorant? An elementary school kid evidently has been ‘taught’ that anything another kid has said ‘feels’ racist, and I will blame the Obama look alike and his spouse. Does she resemble Michelle? Do I care? Obviously not!

Then a teacher was summoned, then the principal, Candace Fleece, then the Newhall School District superintendent, Marc Winger. And that very afternoon, Nov. 4, Grayson was kicked out of Stevenson Ranch for good, his father says, for implying that all black men look alike.

Unless someone left something out of this story, I do not see anything that implies that is what the kids meant.  The two men DO look very much alike, and a 10 or 11 year old kid would notice that, without any implications.

Winger apparently revealed a bit more to a local radio news site, which quoted him as saying, “It’s not what [Grayson] said, it’s how he said it…I can tell you that there was history and that the student had been counseled and we met with the parents.”

It’s besides the point, says Darren Thomas, that neither Winger, Fleece, nor Solomon—not even Schauble or his daughter—were within earshot to evaluate “how” his son originally stated his Obama-lookalike comment. The kicker, Darren says, is that school officials had no basis for determining that Grayson’s comparison implied that all black men look alike. And then they punished him.

You know what they say about assuming, right?  Assume…makes as ass out of u and me!  And this bunch has certainly shown themselves to be total asses!  As do ALL the ‘politically correct’ morons!

America’s $15 Trillion Nightmare
The Foundry

This week, the U.S. national debt clock hit a nightmarish milestone: a record $15 trillion. Words can’t even begin to describe the scope of borrowed federal spending, but it is no doubt a staggering figure that has risen dramatically in the last decade and is more than $4 trillion higher than when President Barack Obama took office less than three years ago. Unfortunately, Washington does not appear poised to take action to rectify the problem, and those with their hands on the wheel are ignoring the root of the problem: spending.

House Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) on Wednesday said of the news, “Today marks an infamous day in American history. It is the day that the national debt has surpassed the $15 trillion mark. This debt is hurting not only our economy today, but will result in our children and our grandchildren experiencing a diminished future.” Ryan is right. Future generations will be shackled by today’s debt. And Heritage’s Alison Fraser explains how federal spending is headed toward a cliff of terrifying proportions:

Federal spending, at about 24 percent today, is significantly over the average of 20 percent of GDP, but in a decade it will top 26 percent.  Within a generation it will reach nearly 35 percent of GDP. Before the end of the decade taxes will have recovered from their recession-driven levels and will continue to rise thereafter.

OWS Protesters Chant ‘Follow Those Kids!’ As Small Children Try To Go To School On Wall Street

They were caught in the middle of madness.

Some grade school students were forced to walk a gauntlet of screaming “Occupy Wall Street” protesters just to get to school on Thursday.

It was a wild day in lower Manhattan for most everyone involved, including elementary school children who had to brave the mayhem just to get to class on the other side of Wall Street.

In the middle of thousands of protestors yelling and chanting — some kicking and screaming – CBS 2’s Emily Smith found little school kids trying to get to class. Nervous parents led them through the barriers on Wall Street. The NYPD helped funnel the children, anything to ease their fears while some protestors chanted “follow those kids!”

“These guys are terrorists, yelling at little kids,” one father said.

Terrorists are exactly what they are!  They are dead set to destroy our way of life, and replace it with shared poverty.  This is the face of evil.  Recognize it!  Fight against it!  Destroy it, before it destroys us!  Anyone who would terrorize small children like this doesn’t deserve to live! This is no longer a 1st Amendment issue.

Domestic Terrorists

A New York City police officer was slashed during Thursday’s “Occupy Wall Street” action– and a second cop was taken to a local hospital with an eye injury– after clashes between protesters and activists across lower Manhattan, sources told FoxNews.com.

Both officers are said to be in stable condition, although the incident marked an escalation of tension in the uneasy give-and-take between NYPD officers charged with maintaining order, and protesters determined to be heard.

We heard y’all just fine. Now shut up and go home, take a shower for the love of pete, and stop proving yourselves to be horses rumps!  Try being a productive member of society, instead of leeches!

Politics On Facebook

17 November 2011, 11:35 am. 2 Comments. Filed under Opinion.

Last night, I did some scrolling through the FB “news feed” on my piece of garbage phone.  I am dismayed.  Thanks to the viciousness of some of my FB ‘friends’ I will be deleting several names from my list.  Why?  The constant attacks and belittling of others who don’t support their chosen candidate in the primary.  Not only were these people behaving no better than liberals, with name calling and pettiness, they sounded like whining four year olds.  I guess I was naive enough to think we are above such behavior.  I was extremely wrong.  Granted, the majority are civil when discussing particular candidates with each other.  However, there are some, if you scroll through their ‘walls’, you will see a great number of verbal attacks against other candidates, and their supporters.

I don’t care if you support Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, etc.  That is your choice.  What is not acceptable is the personal attacks towards others who just happen to NOT agree, or the ugly comments that keep cropping up against the other candidates.  Our purpose is to remove Barack Hussein Obama from the White House.  One of the Republicans will end up being the nominee to do just that.  How will people react if that nominee doesn’t happen to be their particular candidate?  Will they continue their attacks, or will they act like they never made such hateful comments to their fellow conservatives?  I also thought that we, on the right, were better educated.  Resorting to numerous four lettered words belies that impression.  The opposition will call such people hypocrites, and they will, sadly, be correct.

So, if you, all of a sudden, find out I’m no longer on your ‘friends list’, you will know why!

Addition:  If you claim Christianity, please, behave like one.  Such vulgar language makes those of us who truly believe look bad.  Thanks!

“Provide For the Common Defense”

The Debate Over China
The Foundry

Want to hear something disturbing? China has increased its defense budget by double digits every year for the last 20 years. Just as China seems to be gearing up for some undefined enterprise, the U.S. is winding down its defense budget at a similarly rapid pace. Despite the obvious contrast, President Obama said recently that reductions in U.S. defense spending “will not—I repeat, will not—come at the expense of the Asia-Pacific.”

Yesterday, Obama visited Australia to announce a renewed U.S. troop presence in coming months, part of a new security agreement thought to be a response to this ever-more aggressive China. The President brushed off the connection, but upping U.S. presence in the Pacific is related, and it’s critical—as long as it’s done with genuine commitment, according to Heritage Asia expert Bruce Klingner.

If Not Romney, Who? If Not Now, When?
by Ann Coulter

So now, apparently, we have to go through the cycle of the media pushing Newt Gingrich. This is going to be fantastic.

In addition to having an affair in the middle of Clinton’s impeachment; apologizing to Jesse Jackson on behalf of J.C. Watts — one of two black Republicans then in Congress –- for having criticized “poverty pimps,” and then inviting Jackson to a State of the Union address; cutting a global warming commercial with Nancy Pelosi; supporting George Soros’ candidate Dede Scozzafava in a congressional special election; appearing in public with the Rev. Al Sharpton? to promote nonspecific education reform; and calling Paul Ryan’s plan to save Social Security “right-wing social engineering,” we found out this week that Gingrich was a recipient of Freddie Mac political money.

(Even I will admit, however, that Newt was great when he was chairman of GOPAC back in the ’90s with Gay Gaines at the helm.)

No, actually, you are NOT the 99%! You are a small fraction of a country who is fed up with your filth. The 99% are the ones who are responsible adults. They go to work, obey the law, provide for their families, and raise their children to the best of their ability. You, on the other hand, are a bunch of lazy, shiftless, leeches. Don’t be surprised, when you go to throw your Molotov cocktails, you find a hole or two, leaking some red stuff.

Grasping Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory

The Debate over the War in Afghanistan
The Foundry

The killing of Osama bin Laden was a hard-won victory for the United States, but the gains made in pursuit of that day of justice and in waging the war in Afghanistan–including putting al-Qaeda on its heels–could be squandered if the Obama Administration continues its plotted course. When Republican presidential candidates lay out their foreign policy agendas in next Tuesday’s debate hosted by The Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute on CNN, they should pay significant attention to this seminal war that is so crucial to America’s struggle against terrorism.

In June, President Barack Obama announced his decision to bring home 10,000 troops by the end of this year and a total of 33,000 troops by next summer–despite requests from the Pentagon and General David Petraeus to limit the initial withdrawal to 3,000 to 4,000, as the Los Angeles Times reported. That decision, as The Washington Post wrote, wasn’t based in a “convincing military or strategic rationale.” Rather, it was “at odds with the strategy adopted by NATO, which aims to turn over the war to the Afghan army by the end of 2014.”
