1 Timothy 6:2-10
2 And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren, but rather serve them because those who are benefited are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness,
4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,
5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
OWS….You’ve Been Had!
To the OWS protesters: You’ve been had
by Anthony Martin
I have a message to the protesters engaged in the Occupy Wall Street movement that has spread to various cities across America: you’ve been had. You’ve been duped. You are being used as tools by extremist subversives who do not wish to merely correct some excesses on Wall Street to but totally destroy the American way of life that has led this nation to become the most prosperous in the history of the world.
A mere look at the movement’s organizers and high-profile participants tells the story: Communist Van Jones, Michael Moore, Jodie Evans and Code Pink, terrorist Bill Ayers, George Soros and his paid lackeys in Media Matters, Moveon.org, and hundreds of other organizations he has funded, and of course, the usual suspects such as ACORN and SEIU.
The fact that these entities are behind the movement has been well-documented and reported. This is clearly not a ‘grassroots, citizen movement of common, everyday workers who feel that they have been betrayed by Wall Street fat cats.’

Just Cuz!
Today was a good day! Not because there hasn’t been any pain, cuz there has (damp and chilly…UGH!), but because the Mr and I drove down to Corinth, MS….just cuz! It’s the first time in a very LONG time we’ve gone anywhere when there was no doctors involved. Corinth is my heart doc, Jackson, TN is his oncologist and my bone doc. So anytime we’ve gone out to lunch or some such, there was usually a doctor involved. Not today!
We decided to head down, and have lunch at The Generals’ Quarters. My friend Charlotte, and her husband Chef Luke, run the place and we hadn’t seen them in a while, so why not? Apparently, anytime I tell Charlotte we are coming, she isn’t there. I was starting to get suspicious. Heh. No, not really. We found out she was over at the animal shelter, and thought after eating an excellent lunch, and doing a wee bit of shopping, we’d head over and chat with her for a bit. Oh…that was a BIG mistake! But I stayed strong! I didn’t whine. I was tough! We did NOT bring home any cats!!

Oh, but lemme tell ya……it was hard! HARD!!!! Walking out and not bringing that beautiful little 2 year old fluffy silver feline? sigh… Or the kitten that was all of maybe 2 months and very affectionate? *shakes head* Logic tells me that 4 is way more than enough, but….. Oh well.
Today was a terrific day, other than that!
And now, I’m tuckered!
HEY! Mississippi! Pay Attention!
And oh, if you live in Corinth, vote for Luke Doehner!
Thanks!

Obama Spins His Wheels; Economy Stuck in First Gear
The Foundry
No news is good news–except when it means that the story about America’s slow-moving economy remains the same. A new report this morning from the Department of Labor shows that despite all of President Barack Obama’s promises and policies to grow the economy, there are still 14 million unemployed Americans. Meanwhile, the President is still spinning his job creation wheels, signing executive orders and pushing for misguided and expensive policies that lack support in Congress.
The word from the monthly jobs report shows that unemployment was little unchanged at 9 percent in October, with only 80,000 jobs created. While it’s always good news when jobs are created (especially given this Administration’s record), there isn’t much of a sign of a strong economic recovery.
So what’s the President doing about it? He’s pitching “job creation” plans that will do nothing to create jobs and that lack support in Congress while signing executive orders that sound great in speeches but ultimately will mean little for America’s economic bottom line.
More Than Disturbing
- Worst hit states are Mississippi, Tennessee, Oregon, New Mexico and Louisiana
- One in 15 people now living in poverty
- But unemployment benefit claims down for third week in a row
Shocking figures revealed today that one in 15 people in America is now living in poverty.
The number – a record high – is spread widely across metropolitan areas as the country’s economic troubles continue to bite.
And almost 15 per cent of the population are also now on food stamps, it emerged yesterday.
The ranks of the poor applying for food stamps increased by a worrying 8.1 per cent over the past year to make a total of 45.8 million.
The increase in poverty is believed to have been caused due to the housing bust pushing many inner-city poor into suburbs and other outlying places and shriveled jobs and income.
‘There now really is no unaffected group, except maybe the very top income earners,’ said Robert Moffitt, a professor of economics at Johns Hopkins University.
‘Recessions are supposed to be temporary, and when it’s over, everything returns to where it was before. But the worry now is that the downturn — which will end eventually — will have long-lasting effects on families who lose jobs, become worse off and can’t recover.’
What was once the wealthiest country in the world, has been on a downward spiral to a third world country for quite a while. Hand outs don’t help the poor, and we’ve had a couple of generations who are of the mindset that they don’t need to get an education, don’t have to grown up, don’t need to learn a skill, because the government is gonna take care of them. The problem with this? The government doesn’t have any money! When the Democrats took over both houses of Congress in 2006, things really started going down hill. They not only refused to heed the warning that trouble was coming from the housing industries, and flat out LIED, about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
When 52% of the American people foolishly voted to install a Marxist into the highest office in the land, I’m fairly sure most of them didn’t realize that by their actions, they were condemning millions to lose their jobs, and forced to go to the government for aid. All the government programs will not put people back to work, and off the food stamp rolls! What WILL work, they refuse to even consider, and that’s……GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY and let Americans do what they do best!

Debunking Obama’s Latest Jobs Myth
The Foundry
Imagine a high-speed train zooming down hundreds of miles of glistening train track stretching across sunny California, connecting Anaheim to San Francisco. It’s a bullet train dream, and it’s a prime example of President Barack Obama’s latest plan to create jobs in America. The trouble is that this dream is far from reality.
The Los Angeles Times reported this week that the California high-speed train–which is funded in part by $3 billion in federal grants from President Obama’s stimulus–is now expected to cost $98 billion, twice what was expected, and will take an additional 13 years to complete, extending the project to 2033. Questions remain about where the funding will come from, whether the project is viable, and whether the projected ridership will even materialize.
But projects like these are central to President Obama’s plan to put Americans back to work. Speaking yesterday from Georgetown Waterfront Park in Washington, D.C., Obama declared that his plan will “put hundreds of thousands of construction workers back on the job rebuilding our roads, our airports, our bridges and our transit systems.” And that is, of course, all at the expense of the American taxpayers.
Ann on The Left’s “Racist” Problem
Why Our Blacks Are Better Than Their Blacks
by Ann Coulter
By spending the last three decades leveling accusations of “racism” every 10 seconds, liberals have made it virtually impossible for Americans to recognize real racism — for example, the racism constantly spewed at black conservatives.
In the last year alone, a short list of the things liberals have labeled “racist” include:
– Being a Republican;
– Joining the tea party;
– The word “the” (Donald Trump’s statement that he has a “great relationship with the blacks”);
– References to Barack Obama’s playing basketball (Trump again);
– Using Obama’s middle name;
– Scott Brown’s pickup truck;
– Opposing Obamacare;
– Opposing Obama’s stimulus bill;
– Opposing Obama’s jobs bill.
The surge in conservative support for Herman Cain confuses the Democrats’ story line, which is that Republicans hate Obama because he’s black.
