Senior Cleric Calls on US to Apologize to Iran

The US should apologize for spying on Iran instead of asking for the return of its drone, Tehran’s provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said on Friday.

“According to the international rules, this has been an aggression against our country’s territorial integrity”, therefore, if Americans claim that the plane has come to Iran by mistake, “they should extend their apology” to Iran, Emami Kashani said during his second sermon on Tehran University Campus here today.

He said the aircraft is a spy drone and its flight in Iranian sky was an obvious crime.

Umm…. I don’t think so. Y’all are scum, and if that moron in the White House apologizes to anyone, he NEEDS to apologize to the American people. I suppose the Iranians don’t have any spies in the U.S., right? Pfft! Suckers are sneaking across the border like it was their own back yard.  Since when is it a crime to keep an eye on your enemies?  And that’s what they are, after all…..enemies.  They want to destroy both Israel and the U.S.  If that isn’t considered an enemy, then I don’t know what is!

“The demand on Iran to return this spy plane to the US is rooted in their (Americans’) arrogant nature and is a shameless and rude demand,” he said, and added, “They should apologize to the Islamic Republic of Iran and ask for the Iranian nation’s pardon.”

After days of silence, US President Barack Obama on Monday asked Tehran to return the spy drone that was downed in Eastern Iran on December 4.

“We have asked for it back. We’ll see how the Iranians respond,” Obama said following a meeting at the White House with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

“We have asked for it back.” I can just hear his whiny voice, stuttering and um’ing, and uh’ing. UGH! If the SOB had a pair, he would have blown the damn thing up, instead of letting them have OUR technology, and maybe taken a few of them with it.  I realize D’Bama isn’t the brightest bulb in the box, but did he really expect them to say, “Oh, gee!  We’re sorry.  We’ll return your high tech drone right away!”?

…. one hundred years ago, my mom was born in Sapulpa, OK.  A first generation American!  Her parents immigrated from Lebanon after the Muslims pretty much wiped out their Christian village.  She spoke Arabic for her first years, but after her parents became an American citizens, her mother decided they would only speak English.  They were proud to be new citizens of this great land, and assimilated into American life.

Happy Birthday Mom!  I miss you!

….YOU ARE FIRED! Yep, I don’t care if our own rascals are better than the other rascals, there needs to be a TOTAL clean sweep of BOTH Houses of Congress! Starting with Harry Reid! Does Nevada have a way to recall their elected officials? If so, they really need to get a move on, and get than loathsome creature out of the Senate!

An 11th-Hour Spending Deal That Comes Up Short
The Foundry

With Christmas just a week away and the new year nearly upon us, Congress came within a whisper of yet another potential government shutdown and once again demonstrated its inability to make substantive spending cuts and deliver the American people the reforms necessary to secure America’s fiscal future. Rather than produce a timely budget by way of standard operating procedure, congressional leaders again butted up against the deadline and reached a deal on a trillion-dollar “mega-omnibus” nine-bill appropriations package that sadly is yet another disappointing failure to rein in government spending.

If so, then it shows a great deal about the man/child who currently occupies the highest office in the land, and definitely needs to be removed…..ASAP! If not, then for the love of pete, there are plenty of other reasons for him to be removed without phonying up videos or pictures.

The Perpetually Offended

They Don’t Believe In God, Yet Fear Christ?
by J.D. Longstreet

It makes no sense to me. Atheists declare they do not believe in the existence of God, yet they demonstrate an attitude of something akin to fear towards God’s Son, Christ, especially during the annual celebration of Christ’s birth.

Every year, Christians around the world celebrate “Christ Mass” or Christmas. And, every year at that time, those who declare there is no God demonstrate the depth of their “insecurity in their disbelief” by attacking those who celebrate the love and grace of a God who, Christians believe, sent his son into the world to provide a path to eternal life in what they believe is paradise or heaven.

Somehow, this poses a threat to the “God deniers.” I have yet to figure out how.

Ya know…I’ve been questioning the irrational behavior of those people for quite a while.  Why fear something, or Someone you don’t believe in?  In one way, it is rather amusing.  In another, it’s quite sad.  And then, there comes that “Are you people out of your flippin’ minds?” moment.

If you are a true believer, you already know whose hand is at work in all this.  I shouldn’t have to tell you.  :)   To me, it’s quite obvious, and should be to you too!

Oh, don’t throw the old “separation of church and state” argument at me. If it were in the constitution, then I could, and would, support it. But nothing is said in the US Constitution about separation of church and state. The constitution simply forbids the government from establishing a “state church” as some of the old European governments STILL have today. (Even some early American states had their own state religion.)

That ‘separation’ nonsense has been so overused that there are some people in this country who actually believe it is in the U.S. Constitution. Please, if you find it, you’ll let me know, right? I don’t expect any response to the, because it is NOT in there…..ANYWHERE!

It would be wise if people would actually take a Constitution study course. I’ve seen them offered all over the place, people should really take advantage of them. Most of them are offered for free, just asking for a donation to help defray the cost of travel and such that is involved for the instructor. We have a fellow who has classes on a regular basis all over West Tennessee, by the name of Hal Rounds. I’ve no doubt he’d be happy to set up a seminar for your group, church, whatever. :D He’s a good guy.

Tennessee is also lucky to have an actual Constitutional scholar, Publius Huldah, or as those of us who know and love her, known as P/H.  :D   She doesn’t post often to her blog, but if there is ANYTHING you need to know about the Constitution, have some question as to the meaning, or original intent, THAT is the place to find it.  Her post on the ‘separation of church and state‘  is a MUST READ!

The United States was founded on Judeo-Christian principles.  Christmas is actually a FEDERAL holiday..aka HOLY day.  You aren’t being forced to celebrate the birth of Christ, but you also have NO right to push your anti-Christian nonsense on the rest of us. All of those who get their knickers in a twist should volunteer to work that day, and not a one of ‘em should be allowed to take a Christmas vacation. If you don’t believe, fine. Then you shouldn’t be allowed to participate. Just sayin’.

Read J.D.’s whole column here.

Uncle Ted Laughes At OWS Stooges

Occupy stooges on parade
It’s fun watching Democrats getting hauled off to jail
by Ted Nugent

At least the Three Stooges were hilarious. The Occupy stooges are much different, though they certainly qualify for classic numskull stooges nonetheless. They are dirty, political punks. I seriously doubt the majority of them could identify five reasons why they are protesting. No one else in the country can.

You don’t need to search the Internet far to read story after story of the Occupy stooges committing crimes, fighting the cops, destroying personal property, stinking the place up and engaging in other noble expressions of First Amendment rights. I find that beautiful – priceless, actually. Only human cockroaches spotlight themselves.

The Occupy stooges are almost as funny and goofy as the Three Stooges.

What America is witnessing is the Democratic Party on parade. I say let the parade of simple stooges continue. Let them continue to demand something for nothing, try and close down streets, fight with the cops, live in filth, dance like Timothy Leary zombies. It’s beautiful. It’s so Democratic Party.

Let working hard, playing hard mom-and-pop America witness the Democratic Party in all its shameless, numskull and dirty glory. As the party clowns work tirelessly to falsely paint conservatives as heartless, cold, evil, sexist and racist, I say conservatives should do whatever we can to encourage the Occupy stooges to stay on course, painting themselves for what they are.

Taking Liberties: ‘Almighty’ Security Challenged in Kentucky

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security relies on surveillance, vigilance, and intrusive airport screeners to keep Americans safe.

But in the state of Kentucky that’s not good enough, according to state Rep. Tom Riner, an ordained Baptist minister who supports a 2006 state law requiring all homeland security documents to recognize humanity’s dependence on God.

“The safety and security of the state cannot be achieved apart from recognizing our dependence upon God,” Riner told Fox News recently near his home in Louisville.

“We believe dependence on God is essential. … What the founding fathers stated and what every president has stated, is their reliance and recognition of Almighty God, that’s what we’re doing,” he said.

Edwin Kagin, an atheist who is now suing Kentucky over the law, disagrees.

“Oh, it requires much more than that,” he said.

Commonwealth law commands the state’s Department of Homeland Security to prominently display a plaque outside its offices that says: “The safety and security of the Commonwealth cannot be achieved apart from reliance upon Almighty God.”

Let me see if I can put this as simply as possible, so even an ignorant atheist can understand.  Our founding and laws were based on the Judeo-Christian laws.  Yes, the founders, even though some were not devout, were believers in the Almighty.  They asked for the blessings of the Lord in this new adventure called the United States, and for many years, God did send us His blessings.  Then, something happened.  The “progressives” of the early 20th century decided that we didn’t need God for our safety and security, and things have been going down hill ever since.  When God was removed from the public schools, discipline declined.  When God is taken out of the public square, crime has increased.  Why?  Because people aren’t taught to have respect for their elders, and feel there is no consequence for their actions.  Oh, there might be from the man made courts, but many aren’t aware there is a much BIGGER court they will be judged in, and the punishment for their actions won’t be just a few years behind bars.  No, this punishment will last for eternity.

These anti faith people have been benefiting from the blessings we have been granted for many years, yet refuse to acknowledge those blessings, and will do all they can to destroy those blessings for others.  Our safety and security depends on due diligence.  Putting our faith in the Almighty is an additional, and much more effective tool.  Political correctness has diminished our security.  I will put my faith in the Father, because man has failed miserably.

Taxed To Death, Then Taxed Again!

It’s Time to Kiss the Tax Code Goodbye
The Foundry

Ready for a new year and another bout with the Internal Revenue Service, deductions, exemptions, pens and pencils, calculators, receipts, 1040s, W-2s, accountants, Quicken, TurboTax, and more? If you’re like most Americans, that laundry list of income tax jargon, paraphernalia, professionals and their fees is enough to set your head spinning — and even if it isn’t, the thought of paying Uncle Sam your annual dues will certainly do the trick.

America’s tax code needs reform, plain and simple. The current tax system discourages saving, investment, and entrepreneurship. It’s a drag on productivity, job growth, international competitiveness, and wages. It’s complicated beyond belief, and it needs to change. The good news is that there’s a solution that would spell the end of America’s convoluted tax code once and for all: The Heritage Foundation’s “New Flat Tax.” It’s as easy as one, two, three, and here’s what you need to know about it:

Ann on Newt…..Again

Newt: Speak Bombastically and Carry a Tiny Stick
by Ann Coulter

Fellow right-wingers: Is our objective to taunt Obama by accusing him of “Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior,” of being “authentically dishonest” and a “wonderful con” — and then lose the election — or is it to defeat Obama, repeal ObamaCare, secure the borders, enforce e-verify, reform entitlement programs, reduce the size of government and save the country?

If all you want is to lob rhetorical bombs at Obama and then lose, Newt Gingrich — like recent favorite Donald Trump — is your candidate. But if you want to save the country, Newt’s not your guy.

Gingrich makes plenty of bombastic statements, but these never seem to translate into actual policy changes.

After becoming the first Republican speaker of the House in nearly half a century, for example, Newt promptly proposed orphanages and janitorial jobs for children on welfare.

It was true that welfare had destroyed generations of families shorn of the work ethic and led to soaring illegitimacy rates, child abuse and neglect. Maybe orphanages and child labor would have been better.

But we didn’t get any orphanages. We didn’t get jobs for children in families where no one works.

Holder Wants To Register For You

I mean….since we’re all too stupid to be able to comprehend the intricacies of registering to vote…we must have gubmint help, right?

AG Holder: Government Has ‘Responsibility’ to Automatically Register Citizens to Vote

“All eligible citizens can and should be automatically registered to vote,” and it’s the government’s “responsibility” to see that it happens, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said on Tuesday.

Uh….no…actually, it is NOT the government’s ‘responsibility’!  It is the responsibility of those, 18 and older, legal residents, to have the presence of mind to go and register to vote.  You see, by law, anyone who is 18 is an adult.  And adults are quite capable of dealing with such important issues as registering to vote.  It’s not that difficult, you know.  And if the maturity level of the 18 and older LEGAL citizens is that of the crayon eating kindergartener, then they really shouldn’t be voting anyway!

In a call to modernize voter registration, Holder noted that many elections officials still are manually processing new applications, many of them handwritten — a situation that produces errors and confusion at the polls, he said.

This is why you do not have same day registration! You have the LEGAL citizen register at least 30 days prior to the election, and there will be plenty of time to make sure all are legally eligible to vote. Hand written? Well, yes, I guess they are. I don’t know of many people who still have typewriters laying around the house. Perhaps if they still taught penmanship in school, there wouldn’t be a lot of questions about what is on the registration card, and all would be reasonably legible.

“Fortunately, modern technology provides a straightforward fix for these problems,” Holder continued. “It should be the government’s responsibility to automatically register citizens to vote, by compiling — from databases that already exist — a list of all eligible residents in each jurisdiction.”

The government sure does like lists, don’t they. But what if a person doesn’t WANT to register to vote? I mean, there are some people who don’t want to vote, although, for the life of me, I can’t understand why a person doesn’t take this right, and privilege seriously. I am of the opinion that the government should butt the *&%^ out of our lives completely! But that’s just me. :?

The lists would be used “solely to administer elections” and “would protect essential privacy rights,” Holder told a gathering at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library in Austin, Texas.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight! And we’re suppose to believe this over paid piece of lying garbage? I don’t think so!

Holder insisted that making voter registration easier is “not likely, by itself, to make our elections more susceptible to fraud.” Voter fraud will not be tolerated by the Justice Department, he said, adding that “in-person voting fraud is uncommon.”

And who would know more about fraud than none other than one of the biggest frauds to come down the pike? Yep…that same clown that dropped charges against the NBPP for voter intimidation. In person voting fraud is uncommon? Pfft! If there was uniform voter ID, the might a whole lot less!

As the 2012 presidential election draws closer — and with Holder’s boss scrambling for a second term as president — Democrats are once again accusing Republicans of trying to limit the right to vote.

Keep beating that drum of lies! The only people who seem to have a problem with LEGAL voting is the Democrats. You see, the Dems LIKE fraud. They are the biggest promoters of fraud in voting history! With fraud, they are able to steal elections. They don’t like losing power, which they would, if there was a fool proof method to prevent voter fraud.

For example, Wasserman Schultz and other Democrats strenuously oppose laws adopted in more than 30 states requiring voters to present a photo ID at the polling place. Republican supporters of photo ID laws say it prevents voter fraud.

And I repeat, the Dems LIKE fraud! Common sense would tell ya that presenting a photo ID is just a way to prevent someone from voting in your name for someone you wouldn’t vote for at all….typically, a Democrat. Wasserman Schultz takes “airhead” to new levels. Or would that be down to old levels? Hmmm….

On Tuesday, Holder said his Justice Department is now reviewing photo ID laws passed in Texas and South Carolina to see if they meet the requirements of the Voting Rights Act. The Justice Department also is reviewing early voting procedures in Florida, among other voting changes in that state.

“The reality is that – in jurisdictions across the country – both overt and subtle forms of discrimination remain all too common,” Holder said.

And Holder would know all about discrimination, since he practically promotes it! As the chief law enforcement officer, he has failed miserably!

The United States attorney general is the chief law enforcement officer responsible for investigating and prosecuting federal crimes committed against and for the United States government. He also enforces current and proposes future federal laws to strengthen the safety and welfare of the United States government and its citizens. (emphasis mine)

Yup….a miserable failure!

Burial At Sea?

14 December 2011, 11:14 am. 5 Comments. Filed under Critters, Just Cuz.

We have this one cat, Mr Spot, who has an unusual attachment to a stuffed possum. That possum has been presented many times to us as his trophy ‘kill’. He gets much praise for being such a mighty ‘hunter’. On occasion, during the day, he’ll tote around his possum, toss it up in the air, chase it around, and have a high ol’ time.

Well, this morning, he evidently was tossing it around in my bathroom. :? Yup….Mr Possum went in, and it was toes up for him.

Naturally, Mr Spot was distressed.

I don’t think it was his intention to drown his constant companion. :( sigh… But of course, it was MOM to the rescue. No, there was no CPR performed on said soggy possum….just a bit of wringing out. He is now doing the dryer dance, and hopefully, he and Mr Spot will soon be united.

They say cats don’t have facial expressions? I beg to differ!  The look on that cat’s face was priceless!  LOL

(And yes, the pictures are a bit fuzzy.  Kind of hard to get a clear shot when you are chuckling.  :P )
