No, I’m not a hero, I served honorably and saw a bit of combat, but I survived my service intact.  But, I was separated from the service about three months before my enlistment was supposed to end.  The Army decided to ‘honorably’ boot me early after I let them know I wasn’t re-enlisting.  Because nobody told me beforehand, I was given one week to out process.  I was caught flatfooted, job search wise.  I didn’t appreciate that kind of treatment then and still resent it now.  The military cuts many thousands of soldiers, sailors and marines before their enlistments expire and it’s a disgusting practice.  They should make it a voluntary option in keeping with the spirit of voluntary enlistment.  Knowing what I know now, I would not have joined the military and I would not risk my life to defend this Communistic mess called America.  This country treats active duty troops and veterans like dog sh-t and it’s getting worse, not better.  As the last major Institution in this country to retain it’s integrity and the trust of U. S. citizens, the military has now been effectively corrupted and debased.  Proof of this is found in the ridiculous rules of engagement which are killing our troops every day. Final proof is the recent treasonous apologies given to the enemy by our Commander In Chief and numerous generals and high ranking officials.  That’s all I have to say about that.
My comment name is kind of an irony sort of thing.

:)   Yeah…I kind of got the idea there was a bit of irony involved there.  W.C.?  Taqiyya?  :D

Yep…if my dad and uncles were still alive, they would be shouting to the rooftops about how our military has been treated.  With one exception, ALL the brothers served.  The one who didn’t had been in an accident when he was young, and was never quite right.  :(

It’s an absolute disgrace!  I’m of the age when I was taught if you find a war, you fight to win.  This pussyfootin’ around is really pissing a LOT of people off.  And have been treating our heroes like second class citizens for way too long.  WE, out here in the real world, appreciate the check that was written.  Those jackwagons up in the swamp?  Useless as teats on a boar!
