It’s A Baby…A HUMAN Baby!
A Few Observations
First observation…. I’m POOPED! I just drove about 8 hours on 5 hours sleep. Not a real good idea. 
I’ve landed in Amite, LA, again, cuz…it was here, I was here…perfect time to stop! Honestly, if I had attempted to make it to Baton Rouge, which had been my original intent, I don’t think I would be sitting in a motel right now. I’d likely be splattered all over I-55 or I-12. Wouldn’t be a pretty picture. BLECH! I’m old, but I ain’t ready to go just yet. I got a great grandson to spoil rotten, just to annoy Brat and Brat, Jr of course. Heh.
So, that’s why I’m heading thataway! Spud is actually DUE date is 8 March, but I’m kind of hoping for 29 February. That way, I won’t age as fast, right? I mean, he would only have a birthday every 4 years, so it makes sense to me! 
I can dream, can’t I? sigh…
I gotta say…the Mr would be quite proud of me. I only called one moronic driver a bad name. Hey….he deserved it! IDJIT!
Apparently, spring is sprungin’ all over Mississippi. There were little yellow flowers, little white flowers, and even some little purple flowers. And there was GREEN grass too! Amazing!
One thing I found highly amusing was this little truck I passed that had “To Fast 4 U” painted on his rear bumper. Really? Too fast? Then how come I, who was doing the speed limit …70mph, flew past ya like you were standing still? *snicker* Makes ya wonder!
And one other thing….why do I have to break the law just to keep from getting run over going through Jackson? HUH HUH HUH? You people are dangerous! The speed limit through downtown is 60. I was having to do 75 to keep from getting squished like the prevabial bug! Y’all weren’t going that fast BEFORE ya hit town, so why was it necessary to speed up when the speed limit dropped? SHEESH! Obviously, it was during that time I had no choice but to call the aforementioned moron a bad word. 
I’ve decided it must be baby skunk season in Mississippi as well. There were wee flattened skunkys about every mile marker! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many squished baby skunks on one long stretch of road. Big skunks, yes. But babies? Nope…this was a first.

Persecution On The Rise
Missionary: Chinese authorities torture Christians
A missionary from Manmin, a Korean Megachurch, spoke about challenges that face Christians in China (name is not published for her safety). She said that in communist China, there are two churches: one is underground and consists of believers who are persecuted, and the other is the official church which is recognized and controlled by the authorities.
“Underground Christians believe that the official church is ruled by authorities and doesn’t believe in God,” said the missionary. “But I think that it is not always true. Sometimes, they are prohibited to meet with registered Christians because they don’t trust them.”
She also noted that Christians face hard torture if they are caught. They are arrested, imprisoned and even executed by firing squad. “Authorities use electric shock to torture people,” underlined the missionary. “Sometimes they tie Christians to a horse or a car and let it go. The Communists say that it is a punishment for bad behavior. I believe that, because of our brothers’ sacrifice and blood, there are a hundred million Christians in China. Even in Rome, Christians were not persecuted in such cruel way, but even Rome has become a Christian country. I believe that China will also become a Christian country.”
China is just one country where Christians are persecuted for their faith. One, out of how many countries in the world. Christians are persecuted in AFGHANISTAN, CAMBODIA, COLOMBIA, CUBA, EGYPT, INDIA, INDONESIA, IRAN, IRAQ, LAOS, MALAYSIA, MEXICO (yes….Mexico), MALDIVES, MYANMAR, NIGERIA, NORTH KOREA, PHILIPPINES, RUSSIA, SAUDI ARABIA, SOMALIA, SUDAN, UZBEKISTAN, VIETNAM, and YEMEN. Likely, this isn’t even a complete list.
Do we hear any outrage from our government on the constant ‘human rights violations’ of Christians? No, what we have is a phony president who is so worried about those who are violating the rights of others being offended over the least little thing they consider an insult to a phony god and a murderous prophet, over a book, some cartoons, a statement made somewhere, and a teddy bear. I think it’s past time for those animals find their way into the 21st century, stop reading that so called holy book that promotes violence, and grow the hell up.
Two more Americans were shot, by a policeman, over the burning of a book. Is this the behavior of civilized people? Is torture and murder of those who don’t buy into the communist ‘church’ the actions of a civilized society? Is cutting off the heads , or the burning to death of school girls the way civilized people show their love of peace? No, I don’t really think so. And our so called ‘leader’ is apologizing? For what? When will we hear the outrage of our murdered citizens? We won’t.
What is the motivation? Is it a fear of love and compassion? Of forgiveness? Such hatred usually comes from an irrational fear. I can only guess that those who persecute others have an irrational fear of peace in their hearts.
I will continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted by their own neighbors and governments. I pray that we, as a nation, will turn away from the path we are on now, which is leading us to the same end.
The Eagle & Star
One of the cars in this year’s Daytona 500 will bear an unmistakable message of support for American-Israeli relations, thanks to a couple of NASCAR fans in Charlotte, N.C.
The No. 49 “America Israel Racing” car will have an American flag and an Israeli flag along with an eagle on the hood when it takes to the track Feb. 26 in Florida.

Shirey admitted the sponsorship is expensive, but “being brought up Southern Baptist, I was always taught we stand behind Israel. This is a way I felt I could give back to society. It’s something I believe in.”
I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not much into racing, but this definitely got my interest. A pro-Israel race car? Now I think that’s pretty cool.
