New Heart!

Cheney undergoes heart transplant surgery

Former GOP Vice President Dick Cheney is recovering from heart transplant surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia, a spokeswoman said Saturday evening.

In 2010, Cheney had a left ventricular assist device implanted for treatment of end-stage heart failure. The former vice president has been on the cardiac transplant list for more than 20 months.

Though he and his family do not know the identity of the donor, they will be forever grateful for this lifesaving gift, the spokeswoman also said.

I was under the impression that no one is suppose to know who the donor is, right?  Oh well.  Sending many prayers to Mr VP and his family.  Here’s hoping he’ll have a really speedy recovery.

You realize, of course, if ObamaCare was in play, there is no way a 71 year old man would have been able to get a heart transplant.  On my even more cynical side, I wonder how many on the left will be making their usual nasty remarks, wishing for death, etc.  We know it’s coming…that’s just the type of people (?) they are…why should we expect anything different from them now?

The New Civility

24 March 2012, 6:19 pm. 4 Comments. Filed under Crime, Dhimmicrats, Feckless Weasels, Opinion.

I haven’t posted anything about the young man, Trayvon Martin. I don’t know all the facts, and from what I can tell, neither does anyone else. We’ve heard the 911 tapes, we’ve heard the pundits, and we’ve heard the stupidity from all arenas. :? I wasn’t going to say anything, due to my lack of knowledge, but after seeing this….

….I just can’t keep silent anymore!  Oddly enough, I agree with the quote, but not in the way I’ve no doubt Jesse Jackson meant it.  (I won’t call him Reverend, because, he’s really not extremely ‘reverend’, is he.  :? )

Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson said Friday that he’s grateful the rest of the country has sat up and taken notice of the tragic slaying of Trayvon Martin. But he can’t help but wonder: Why has it taken so long for everyone else to recognize the chronic injustices that African Americans face?

Typically, when you say the word ‘civil‘, you’d think of cordial folks. People who speak to one another with civility. At least that’s what I was always taught.  Apparently, that’s no longer the case.  People like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are anything but civil.  His statement about ‘chronic injustices’ have been seen in every society, every race, every culture, not just with black Americans.  It would be nice if so called ‘civil rights leaders’ would take time to remember this.

Oh, and let’s not forget the ‘civility’ of the NBP.   Nothing like putting a bounty on someone’s head before they even know all the facts.  Will anyone call for calm?  Rationality?  Naw….  we don’t do things that way anymore.

The supposed President of the United States has also stepped in, with comments.  Has he called for calm?  Nope!

If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon’

Are you flippin’ kidding me? No, actually, even though his daughters are not unattractive, if he had a son, likely the kid would look like MO….angry. :?

“My main message is to the parents of Trayvon Martin: If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” Obama said. “I think they are right to expect that all of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves, and we’re going to get to the bottom of what happened.”

This is not the job of the POTUS, or even the Department of Justice.  This is a local issue, tragic though it is, it is for the local law enforcement to deal with, not the federal.  Will the POTUS get involved with every tragic killing on the streets of America?  I don’t remember anyone at the federal level becoming involved when the son my friend of  46 years was murdered by gang members in 2006.  Was the federal government in the case of the mother murdering her child…who happens to be black?  I’m not aware of any such involvement.  Where was the federal officials when 2 black girls beat up a white transgendered teenager at McDonalds?

How many black male teens have been murdered for their shoes?  Or because he happened to look at someone in what was perceived the wrong way?  Black teens murdered by black teens.  Where were Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Barack Hussein Obama when all these young men were killed?

Every taking of life is a tragedy, no matter the color of the killed, or the one who pulled the trigger.  Perhaps it’s time these so called leaders learn that it isn’t the color that matters.  It’s the culture that has been perpetrated by the likes of such people.  When young men are repeatedly told they can’t accomplish anything without the help of the government, that they are incapable of reaching for the stars because someone else (read the white man) is holding them back.  So, yes, ‘blacks are under attack’….from people like Jackson.  Young people who excel in school are made fun of by their ‘peers’.  Suck behavior is encouraged by the so called adults.

We really don’t know much, if anything about the young man.  We do know the man who pulled the trigger claims it was self defense.  I don’t know.  I wasn’t there.  And neither were any of those stepping in on the issue.  How about we wait until we find out what happened before we pass judgement?  There are three who know the truth…. Trayvon, George Zimmerman and God.  This is NOT a political issue!  It is a justice issue.  Let the courts decide.

My sincere prayers are with young Trayvon’s family.  No parent should have to bury their child, and I can’t imagine the pain they must feel.  I honestly don’t believe these so called leaders are helping the family and friends by getting involved.  May the Good Lord grant the family peace.

“People of Wal-Mart”….. Cuz I Can

24 March 2012, 1:47 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Just Cuz.

After my recent experience at what I can only call the worst Wal-Mart experience while in Texas (Cleveland), the Mr evidently thought sending me a video of the ‘people of Wal-Mart’ would be amusing. Uh huh. Well, I found the other one while watching the first. There are apparently quite a few such videos available. Two are plenty for now. Yes, I saw some interesting sights while in that one, and most all Wal-Marts, come to think of it. :?

I’m Tired Of Being Angry

24 March 2012, 1:07 pm. 5 Comments. Filed under Faith, Opinion, Politics.

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’d know I’ve been out of town for the last 4 weeks.  Becoming a GG Bat was quite a thrill.  Then I started thinking….this little boy won’t be growing up in the same America I did.  Nor, will my newborn great niece.  To be honest, my daughter, who is now 37, didn’t have the same freedoms I had growing up in the 50s and 60s.  Today, we have government, on all levels, that has decided we are too stupid to run our own lives, so they have pretty much taken over.

For the last 3 years, I’ve become more and more angry as I’ve watched this current administration ignore all that men and women have fought and died to achieve and preserve for over the last 236 years.  The previous 2 years were almost as bad when the Democrats took over the House and Senate.  But it really starting going down hill when they achieved the unthinkable….putting a Marxist in the White House.  Then they were free to go about their own business, and to hell with the liberty loving citizens.

It finally hit me yesterday as I was driving north on I-55.  In the grand scheme of things, none of those people matter.  In 100 years, it’s quite likely no one will even remember their names, and they do, it will be in a seriously negative light.  Their actions are much like all power hungry dictators of history, and like those in history, they, too, will destroyed by their own actions.

So, in the BIG picture, even though there has been, and likely will be more, damage, once they are gone, liberty loving, God fearing will once again, be on the path of freedom.  Well, that is, if the world is still the same, and we haven’t seen The Return.

I’ve decided I’m not going to be angry anymore.  It takes up too much energy, and I’ve got better things to do.  Oh, I’ll continue to rant when the mood strikes me, but I refuse to let those morons in D.C., Nashville, or anywhere else control my mood, my life.  Oh, they may think they’ve got control, but in reality, they don’t have the power they believe they do.  There is only One who has that kind of control, and He doesn’t have a title in front of his name, or a letter behind it.

Deuteronomy 8
18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
19 Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.
20 As the nations which the Lord destroys before you, so you shall perish, because you would not be obedient to the voice of the Lord your God.

You see, we have forgotten Who is really in charge. True, these passages refer to Israel, but should apply to any country that is founded on the faith in the God. We have allowed those who do not know, do not choose to know, or never knew, to take over our government, and given them a power they do not possess, nor do they deserve. We are being destroyed. If we choose to allow this to continue, we will get what we deserve. If we are strong enough to stop their actions, perhaps we can turn the clock back, and regain our God given liberties.

I will not be angry. I will feel pity for those who have followed their false gods, and pray they’ll return to sanity. I doubt it will happen, there are way too many who have fallen by the wayside by choice.  It was their choice.  It will be their choice how to proceed from here.  But I will no longer be angry.  I will just live my life, speak my peace, and let others deal with their delusions of grandeur.  I have better things to do…like worship, serve, and wait.
