Immature “Parents” Ruin Egg Hunt For Children
Aggressive parents derail Georgia Easter egg hunt
Another traditional Easter egg hunt has fallen victim to aggressive parents, with event organizers in Macon, Ga., forced to cancel this week amid fears greedy moms and dads would become violent and trample on kids to grab eggs.
Joe Allen, founder of Kids Yule Love which organizes the Central City Park egg hunt, said previous bad behavior meant this year’s event had become a liability because “parents caused a situation in which some children got hurt,” The (Macon) Telegraph reported.
He said that a woman was hurt and several kids were trampled on at previous hunts as aggressive parents tried to get more eggs for themselves or their children.
It just boggles the mind that supposed adults would behave more immature than their children! Parents? Pfft! These people aren’t ‘parents’…they are nothing more than taller VERY IMMATURE children that don’t give a damn if they hurt children, and are teaching their own kids it’s ok to be mean and greedy!
I have two solutions.
Have the hunt separated by age groups…yellow tape running around each area. No older kids with the little ones. If this idea is implemented, do NOT, under any circumstance, allow the parent to accompany their own kid. Perhaps for the smaller, younger ones, have the “parent’ draw the name of a one of the younger kids, and let them take the kid’s whose name they drew, not their own, around the designated area for their age group. One, they won’t be trampling other kids in THEIR quest to find the eggs, and two, it would be safer for all concerned.
My second solution would be not to allow ANY parental involvement at all! Let the older kids help little ones, in a separate area, at a separate time. Then the older kids can go to their designated area, and go nuts. NO parents AT ALL!
Do these people have no shame? No concern for the safety and well being of other people’s children? Risking sounding biased, are all the parents involved in the harming of others children libs? Because, IMHO, no self respecting conservative would behave in such a manner. No, not everything comes down to politics, but since most conservatives are actually Christians, it’s hard to imagine a Christian stomping on small children just to get a flippin’ egg! An egg is NOT what Easter is about!
