A History Lesson – January 3, 2007
Whether or not you like Bush 43, facts are facts! There are some who would love to change history to suit their agenda, but thankfully, there are enough of us who know the truth, and will do our utmost to keep the facts in the foreground!
The day the Democrats took over was not January 20, 2009, it was actually January 3, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress. The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:
On January 3, 2007, the day the Democrats took control of Congress:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies had SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
Remember that day…?
January 3rd, 2007 was the day Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES! THANK YOU DEMOCRATS (especially Barney), for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!
(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy. Barney blocked it and called it a “Chicken Little Philosophy”, but…the sky did fall!)
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA!!!
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY!!!!
So when someone tries to blame Bush… REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007…. THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!
Bush may have been in the car, but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel while they were driving the economy into the ditch. Budgets are not passed in the White House. They are passed by Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 (until the 2010 election and the Republicans took the majority in the House) is the Democrat Party.
Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009, as well as 2010 & 2011. Obama has now gone more than 1,000 days without a budget, and is still blaming it on the Republicans! In that first year, Congress had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending when Bush, somewhat belatedly, got tough on spending increases.
For FY 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed “Lame Duck President” George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budget. And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of those massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period:
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.
If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself and a Democratic Congress.
In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is: “I inherited a deficit that I voted for, and then I expanded that deficit four-fold since January 20th 2009.”
Of course, the left will do all they can to silence the truth, but as Jesus said in John 8:32, “…And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
“The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.”

My ‘Dead’ Music
So, you’re asking…what is ‘dead’ music? And even if ya aren’t, I’m gonna tell ya anyway! My ‘dead’ music is a piece of music I want played at my funeral. Well, that is, if we can still AFFORD a funeral. If not, a big ol’ black trash bag will work just as well. What do I care? I won’t be in it. Just a shell, right?
Ok, back to the ‘dead’ music. I first heard this piece of music in 1983, or 84, can’t remember exactly. At the time I was driving home at sunset, and it was just perfect. Listening to it, it actually sounds like a sunset! Well, at least to me it does. And what is physical death? Well, the sun is setting on your earthly life. See? ‘Dead’ music.
Obama is No Ordinary Socialist
Seriously?
A big ol’ headline on Drudge:

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Speaking on Anderson Cooper 360, Rosen said that it didn’t make much sense for presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney to look to Ann for advice on women’s issues because she was out of touch with the problems faced by most women in America.
“His wife has actually never worked a day in her life,” she said. “She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of women in this country are facing.”
Perhaps it is true that Mrs. Romney has had an easier time of it than some, but then again, most women haven’t had to battle cancer and MS while raising a family, and taking care of the household. I’m sure she had some hired help with some of it, but nothing and NO ONE can replace a mom.
Contrary to what this…..female….might believe, raising a family IS work! A LOT of work! HARD work! They don’t come with instruction manuals, y’know!
Moments after Rosen’s appearance, top Romney advisor Eric Fehrnstrom tweeted out that “Obama adviser” Rosen went on CNN to “debut their new ‘kill Ann’ strategy and in the process insul[t] hard-working moms.” David Axelrod, Obama’s top campaign strategist, trying to quell the potential fallout, took to Twitter to call Rosen’s comments “inappropriate and offensive.” Obama’s campaign manager, Jim Messina, tweeted a request for Rosen to apologize for her comments.
Evidently, this libtard, and so many like her don’t believe in ‘choice’. Oh, they do when it comes to slaughtering innocent babies, but when it comes to a woman making the CHOICE to stay home and be a wife and mother, well, then….that just isn’t acceptable! Hey…Rosen! BITE ME!
As of late Wednesday, Rosen had not. Instead, she responded to Ann Romney’s tweet with a series of her own tweets. “I am raising children too. But most young American women HAVE to BOTH earn a living AND raise children. You know that don’t u?” Rosen tweeted. She added: “Please know, I admire you. But your husband shouldn’t say you are his expert on women and the economy.”
Actually, Ann IS an expert on women. You, on the other hand…are NOT! You don’t speak for me, or those like me, who have had to both work, and raise a child, mostly by myself, and was able to stay at home and try to be a decent parent. THAT, lady (and I use the term loosely) is DAMN HARD WORK!
And let’s ask the question, shall we? Why do so many women have no choice but to go to work to help pay bills? Hmmm…. ???? Could it be because people like you, and your cronies, have done such a wonderful job with the economy? Many women are no longer given the choice of whether or not they stay home to raise their own children, instead of paying exorbitant fees for someone else to be there for their child’s first words, or their first steps.
At one time, women could make the choice to have a career, or have a family. Then, they had the choice to have a career AND a family. Some women found out that bringing ‘home the bacon and frying it in up a pan’ was a lot more than they bargained for, and came to the conclusion that they WANTED to stay home with their kids, teach them right from wrong, be there to catch them after they toddled their first steps, praise them when they accomplished some task, discipline them when they did wrong, help them with their homework, and yes, even bake cookies with them.
Who is making war on women? No, dear, it is NOT the Republicans, or those on the right. You see, we believe it is ok for a women to CHOOSE to raise her own children, instead of murder them. You, Hillary Rosen, should NEVER have squeezed that toothpaste out of that particular tube, cuz hon…you ain’t NEVER gonna get it back in there!
Come to think of it, if I was Rosen’s spouse, I would rather she work outside the home, too.
Yep, she can go off and make an ass of herself elsewhere.
However, this lady?
I’d definitely want to keep this lady at home.
Just sayin’!
UPDATE: Evidently, there is no Mr Rosen. A ‘partner’ and adopted kids? Ok. Doesn’t matter…. the feminazi is STILL way off base!

The Internet Taxes that Could Be Coming
The Foundry
If you’ve ever bought anything on the Internet, over the phone, or from a catalog, you might have noticed that when you buy from some stores, you don’t pay any state sales tax, but if you buy from other stores, you do. That’s because a Supreme Court decision protected out-of-state businesses from revenue-hungry states. But a new bill working its way through Congress would change all that, turning every online retailer into a sales tax collector. And that’s legislation Congress should reject.
Back in 1992, the Supreme Court ruled in Quill Corporation v. North Dakota that a state cannot force a retailer who doesn’t have any physical presence in that state to collect sales taxes from Internet, phone or catalog sales. So if you ordered a book online from BarnesandNoble.com and there’s a Barnes and Noble store right down the street from your house, you’d have to pay sales tax. But if you ordered that book online from a mom and pop bookstore with one location halfway across the country, they wouldn’t have to collect sales tax from you.
Why?

“Hooray!” I said, it’s my first time afar.
The scents we were passing were all new to me,
For it was my first introduction to this mystery.
As we got out of the car I embraced you with joy,
After all you remembered to bring my favourite toy!
You threw it once or twice, of which I retrieved,
But on the third it seemed you were ready to leave.
You threw it long and hard and I chased it like lightning,
But when I turned to bring it back I saw a sight quite frightening.
I gripped my toy hard as I tried to comprehend
What it was I did wrong to make our relationship end.
You walked back to your car as I sat there still loyal.
Why am I subservient and you so royal?
Your engine started, and you peeled out into the night,
You didn’t even care about my overwhelming fright.
As I sat in my pose determined you would come back,
The sun faded behind me while the surroundings turned black.
Day after day I stayed in that park,
Lying… waiting… too feeble to bark.
As I lay there dying thinking of you master,
I asked myself how I got into this horrifying disaster.
With my last breath of life, I whispered your name
Then I collapsed in a heap overrun by pain.
Why didn’t you love me master? Why didn’t you care?
Had I no significance, was I just a clump of hair?
I stayed there master and I waited for you
I guess taking care of me was just too much to do.
I’m gone now master, no more You-and-I
But what I can’t figure out is why you didn’t even say goodbye…
As you may, or may not know, we live out in the country. The number of animals we have come up to our door, just wanting attention, or food, is mind boggling. Many of them do live around the neighborhood, but are left to wander freely, with no concern of whether or not they get run over by some fool driving too fast around the curve.
There have been some, though, that I know have just been dumped off. I see them sitting at the corner, like they are waiting. They see a car coming and stand up. When the car passes by, they’ll sit back down, and begin their wait again. It tears me apart to have to leave them there. If I could, I would bring every single one of them home. We don’t have a fenced in yard, and there is a two lane highway behind our house. I just can’t do it. The Mr won’t allow it, and it kills me to see these adorable creatures left to fend for themselves.
I would very much like to find who does this to a ‘family pet’, and do the same damn thing to them. Take them out in the middle of no where, and just leave them. Let them know how it feels to be abandoned by someone they believed loved and cared for them. Yes, I know these are animals, but they are living beings, a creation of God, and we treat them like disposable diapers. This type of cruelty ranks with the physical torture some seem to think is ‘fun’, but the scars are on the inside, instead of the outside.
If you can’t afford your pet, who actually is a family member, find a good home for him/her. Take the animal to a no kill shelter, find someway to make sure he/she will be ok. DO NOT DUMP THEM OFF ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD! Believe, if I EVER see someone do that to an animal, they better haul ass because I will make sure everyone in the county knows just who they are!
