Guilty By Self Defense
Norway massacre suspect announces he ‘doesn’t recognize court’ as trial begins
With a defiant closed-fist salute, a right-wing fanatic admitted Monday to a bomb-and-shooting massacre that killed 77 people in Norway but pleaded not guilty to criminal charges, saying he was acting in self-defense.
Hold yer britches on here….’right-wing’? I don’t think so! The media calls ME ‘right-wing’ and I’m not going out shooting up 77 people, in Norway, or anywhere else! I am HIGHLY offended that anyone would thing this crazy person, who MURDERED all those people would be associated with me, and millions of others that the press and left (but I repeat myself) ‘right wing’! That closed fist thing…well, that’s more of a Wisconsin unionista thing, isn’t it? Just askin’.
“I don’t recognize Norwegian courts because you get your mandate from the Norwegian political parties who support multiculturalism,” Breivik said in his first comments to the court.
Norway has some serious problems, no doubt about that. One guy, obviously mentally unstable, goes on a spree of slaughter, and they label him as a ‘right winger’. Nope…this is more like something a fascist would do. The issue, though, is the government’s kowtowing to a ever increasing muslim population, and native citizens are being shoved to that background. They are no longer free in their own country. Combine that with a person, who undoubtedly was in serious need of some sort of chemical balancing, and you have a recipe for disaster. Add to it the propensity of the Norwegian government to back down from any controversy, and the nature of the Utøya Youth Camp, what you get is a pot boiling over.
I’m not going to excuse the guy’s actions. There was no reason for him to slaughter those kids. But I can see where a person could go off the deep end, in large part, due to the government’s inaction to protect it’s citizens from the invading hoards. No, I don’t see this as a self defense issue at all, but perhaps he was right to feel paranoid?

Hi Olbroad! I warned you that I liked the place and might come back and by gosh here I am.
That was an excellent essay you wrote. But I have to disagree that he was right to feel paranoid. He’s a mass murderer. He is a BAD man and deserves to pay for his crimes -preferably to my way of thinking- by being put to death by those puffy Norwegians. And I don’t think we can LEARN anything from what he did, either. He is CRAZY (and not in a good way) and CRAZY people like him and bin Laden can’t teach us ANYTHING except, maybe, to go armed whenever we go out.
And I meant it when I commented on your book review of “Only Son” – this is a real nice place y’all have here! Thanks for letting me in for a spell.
Ah, PS, forgot to hit the notify me of follow up comments by e-mail
tsk tsk….always gotta remember to hit that ‘notify!
Of course he’s crazy….nuttier than a squirrel with a serious pecan fetish! I just meant that his paranoia isn’t all that far fetched, considering the massive islamification of so many European countries. Does Norway have the death penalty? I thought they were too ‘civilized’ for barbaric practices. /snark
