Joshua 23:1-24:33

Psalm 47:1-9

Proverbs 14:14

Luke 13:22-35

A confession:  Gotta be honest….in the Old Testament, and The Tanach, I kind of glaze over all the names I can’t pronounce, and the towns that may, or may not, still be in existence.   You know, the ‘this was given to that tribe, and all the towns and such. Yep, I am actually reading both, at the same time.  I read the NKJV, then the English translation, of The Torah, The Prophets, and The Writings.  Obviously, there isn’t a New Testament in there.  But it has helped me to understand better what I am reading.  I highly recommend it.  They are pretty much the same, but there are some words translated from Hebrew into English that are different from the KJV and NKJV.  Just one example -  Dolphins in one, badgers in the other (Exodus).  Seriously, two different animals.  :D   Yet, the verses are the same, and I have gained better understanding of what was going on way back when, and find a lot of it, quite pertinent to today’s life.

Just thought I’d toss that in.  :D
