“When Barack Obama flip-flops, it’s called ‘evolving.’ When Mitt Romney evolves, it’s called ‘flip-flopping.’” -Rush Limbaugh
Wouldn’t it be nice if Obama actually ‘evolved’ into a grown up? A real human grown up? And how about evolving into someone less narcissistic? Wishful thinking, huh. sigh….
Isn’t it interesting that OUR military is fighting on HIS behalf? Why would they do that? He doesn’t even like them, and has made that perfectly clear on numerous occasions. He’s doing his best, with the aid of the Senate to strip them of their ability to even defend themselves, much less him. Pfft! What a horse’s rump!
I wonder if the gay community is aware that he is doing nothing more than using them for political purposes? The guy doesn’t give a flying flip about anyone, or anything beyond his own wants and desires. And apparently, he wants to be king, a dictator, a real tyrant. I mean, after all, he has learned from the best…..Karl Marx, Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, Adolph Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, etc. Oh yeah…and lets not forget Saul Alinksy, his grandparents, and his mentor, Frank Marshall Davis.
You mean to tell me I could have used my Native blood to get a job through affirmative action when I was having such a hard time back when? Dang! And I’ve even got proof…from the orphanage! Sheesh! And I’m a WHOLE lot more than 1/32!
Elizabeth Warren dances with lies
by Ann Coulter
Elizabeth Warren, who also goes by her Indian name, “Lies on Race Box,” is in big heap-um trouble. The earnest, reform-minded liberal running for Senate against Scott Brown, R-Mass., lied about being part-Cherokee to get a job at Harvard.
Harvard took full advantage of Warren’s lie, bragging to The Harvard Crimson about her minority status during one of the near-constant student protests over insufficient “diversity” in the faculty. Warren also listed herself as an Indian in law school faculty directories and, just last month, said, “I am very proud of my Native American heritage.”
Except, oops, she has no more evidence that she’s an Indian than that buffoon out of Colorado, Ward Churchill.
The Boston Globe immediately leapt to Warren’s defense, quoting a genealogist who found a marriage license on which Warren’s great-great-uncle scribbled that his mother, Warren’s great-great-great grandmother, was a Cherokee. This is not part of the official marriage license. (If I scribble “Kenyan” on Obama’s birth certificate, does that make it true?)
Yep! I drove 9 hours to get home on Monday, spent two nights in my own bed, with my Mr, got all the laundry done, packed, and took off this morning, drove 7 1/2 hours, and am, once again, ensconced in a motel room, on my way to Texas. I’m tired! When I walked in the motel, the clerk recognized me from my previous visits. “Look what the cat dragged in!” Heh. Yeah…but in reality, it’s more like what the cat wouldn’t even bother with. UGH!
One bright point…there were magnolias in bloom all over the place!
The “war on poverty” was lost long before it even began during Johnson’s term in the White House. Feel good programs do little to alleviate the problems, and in many cases, do more harm. When a man, or woman, doesn’t have to rely on him/herself to provide for the family, then quite often, they will not even make the effort. Why should they? “The gubmint will take care of me!” This entitlement mindset has been the downfall of many communities, and especially the destruction of the family. Why worry about children you produce when there is someone else to take care of them? Why save for your retirement, when there’s that Social Security at the end of the road. Unfortunately, none of these programs work as well as was hoped, and have become the black hole from hell, creating a greater dependency on the government, and less self reliance. Our military, on the other hand, has been given the shaft, time after time. Perhaps no one person in Washington, whether elected, or government employee, should EVER earn more than the lowest paid in the military. Nor, should they have better health care than the families of our fighting men and women. When those who protect us has to apply for food stamps, rely on family for much needed equipment, yet those who decide their fate ride around in leased Lexus’ and Tahoes, at the taxpayers expense, there is something REALLY wrong!
Will Congress Defend Our Military?
It’s one thing to talk a good game about cutting spending, but it’s quite another thing to actually do something about it. This week, the House of Representatives has an opportunity to finally set some limits on Washington’s spending spree while also ensuring that the U.S. military has the resources it needs to defend America. Here’s the lay of the land this week in the nation’s capital.
On Thursday, the House is set to take up a spending reduction plan known inside the beltway as “reconciliation.” Under the measure, Congress would tackle two looming problems hanging over Washington’s head: the soaring cost of entitlement spending and the arbitrary defense cuts mandated by the so-called Budget Control Act (BCA) that was enacted last year.
Those issues are nothing to gloss over, even though some in Washington would like to pretend they’re not a problem. Since 1965, spending on Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security has more than tripled as a share of the economy, is continuing to grow at a rapid rate, hitting 9.7 percent of GDP this year, and will nearly double by 2050. Meanwhile, spending on defense has dropped over time, even when you add in the costs of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. As you can see in Heritage’s Federal Budget in Pictures, that means that spending on entitlement programs is crowding out spending on defense — a core constitutional function of government.
1. Yesterday, it was voting day in several states. Most notably, the recall nonsense in Wisconsin. Naturally, Governor Scott Walker won the Republican side, in what can only be called a major landslide against some guy no one has ever heard of, and from what I’ve been told, is a faux Republican. The Dems do that a lot up there….run a guy on the R side just to dilute the vote. Then, they have dummy voters cross over and vote for the phony candidate. Yep…those WI Dems are all about honor and integrity alright. I don’t think it worked out too well for them though this time, with Walker taking 97%. On the Dem side, Tom Barrett, mayor of Milwaukee, and loser in the last gubernatorial race against Walker, is now the libtard/progressive/socialist/commie candidate. And contrary to what you’ve heard, there is FRAUD in Wisconsin. I know of several incidents in the past where even so called educators encouraged college students to vote both from their home residence, and from their school residence.
2. Next, we have North Carolina.
North Carolina voters elected to change the state constitution on Tuesday, prohibiting any union outside of a marriage between a man and a woman from being recognized in the state.
A long time ago, I didn’t think such a thing would be necessary. I felt that it was just plain ol’ common sense. I was wrong. No, I am NOT anti-gay. I’m pro God. People really do need to figure out the difference. The rabid activists aren’t fighting for ‘equal rights’, which we all already have, they are fighting against society, and for the destruction of civilization. Sounds kind of broad based, but there it is in a nutshell. There are people I love dearly, who just happen to be gay. I can still love them and not approve of their choices. Nor do I judge them. That’s not my job.
People have spoken out against recognizing “gay marriage” all across the country, with their vote. Yet along comes some ‘activist judge’, who thinks the will of the people should be struck down. One person, or a panel of individual judges, decide that people are too stupid, and don’t have the right to decide what is right, and what is wrong. Take a look at California. The people voted overwhelmingly against recognizing same sex ‘marriages’, but some judge struck down their vote. Is it any wonder that people are disgusted with the courts, and believe their vote means nothing? The majority of the country has laws against such unions. The more liberal, aka run by Democrats, and likely in debt states, have had judges who have ruled against the people.
3. We mustn’t forget about the long term RINO senator from Indiana who went down in flames against a CONSERVATIVE opponent! The dude is 80 years old fer the love of pete. Way past time for him to go home….wherever home is, cuz it’s NOT in Indiana. That 61% who voted for Murdock sent quite a loud message. People are real tired of compromising with those who want to destroy the country. Ya don’t compromise with the enemy. And y’know, that’s pretty much what the OTHER side of the aisle is made up of….enemies of the people, and the country. sigh… More than sad….quite dangerous!
4. And this item was my very favorite!
Just how unpopular is President Barack Obama in some parts of the country? Enough that a man in prison in Texas is getting 4 out of 10 votes in West Virginia’s Democratic presidential primary.
The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. With 93 percent of precincts reporting, Obama was receiving just under 60 percent of the vote to Judd’s 40 percent.
