Kowtowing To Muslims
Church groups: Keep ‘Father,’ ‘Son’ in Bible
Two church denominations have rejected the practice of using words other than “Father” and “Son” when translating the Bible into languages in Muslim-dominated parts of the globe.
Ummm…I don’t care what country it is, you do NOT change the Bible to accommodate ANYONE!
The translations have altered references to God as “Father” and to Jesus as the “Son” or “the Son of God.” One example can be seen in an Arabic version of the Gospel of Matthew produced and promoted by Frontiers and SIL.
It changes Matthew 28:19 from “baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” to “cleanse them by water in the name of Allah, his Messiah and his Holy Spirit.”
“Allah”??? HELLO????!!!!!! Using the name allah instead of ‘the Father’ is an insult!
Christians & Jewish martyrs say; “I will die for what I believe”.
A Muslim martyr says; “you will die for what I believe”….
A couple of tidbits:
There is absolutely no question that Allah was worshiped by the pagan Arabs as one of many polytheistic gods.
Allah was worshiped in the Kabah at Mecca before Muhammad was born. Muhammad merely proclaimed a god the Meccans were already familiar with. The pagan Arabs never accused Muhammad of preaching a different Allah than the one they already worshiped.
YWHW does not even remotely resemble allah, so why kowtow to a bunch of murderous, pedophile rapist, worshipers?
Biblical Missiology issued a petition stating that Wycliffe and the others “are producing Bibles that remove Father, Son and Son of God because these terms are offensive to Muslims.”
I don’t know who, or what, Wycliffe is, and honestly, I don’t want to know. Any organization that changes the Bible to suit some 7th centuries cult has NO business in the Bible business. Producing FALSE Bibles is an affront to every Christian in the world. Or, at least, it should be! If it is not, then someone needs to get their priorities in order. Placating muzzies is NOT a Christian priority!
The Presbyterians and Assembly of God are involved……where are the Baptists, the Catholics, and so many other denominations on the issue? Whether or not the missions of these other denominations use Wycliffe’s translation or not, they should ALL be expressing outrage at the placation of a cult that wants to murder them……us.
Pay Up, Or Don’t Drive!
Thousands of Tennesseans could lose their licenses
The impact of a law that gives Tennessee court clerks a powerful tool for collecting unpaid court costs will soon be felt when thousands of people begin losing their driver’s licenses.
The law says defendants have a year to pay all court costs in misdemeanor and felony cases or the Department of Safety will automatically revoke their licenses. It took effect last July, and the one-year grace period to pay is coming to an end for some defendants.
I’ll be honest…this is the first I’ve heard about this new law, probably because I haven’t been paying a whole lot of attention to what has been going on in the state I where I live. Why? Not sure, but I bet it has something to do with the fact of where we actually live, and our local paper isn’t real forthcoming on actual news concerning state issues.
Not knowing all the facts of the law, I’d have to say, at this point, I rather agree. When a person fails to pay their debts, everyone suffers from their lack of responsibility. How? Well, if I don’t pay what I owe to the courts, the burden for the costs falls to the taxpayers….that would be you (residents of the state). I don’t actually have any court costs due, just using as an example.
Those folks who have outstanding debts to the court system would be wise to deal with them, but I wonder if they were as unaware of this new law as I was? Were notices sent out to the debtors that they only had a year to deal with the issue?
Court officials told The Knoxville News Sentinel that they welcome a new way to collect millions of dollars in outstanding debts, but they worry about the burden on an already overloaded court system.
I’m not sure why getting money would be a burden on the court system. Aren’t their clerks who deal with such payments? I’m also wondering if there is a way to set up a payment plan for the folks who owe. I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but we are in a major economic crisis right now, and most people would have a hard time coming up with a large chunk of change all at once.
Court clerks will be providing the information to the state about who hasn’t paid their fines.
Yes….but will they be notifying those who owe? Or just the state? And honestly, it shouldn’t cost diddly, or very little to send a flash drive to the powers that be with that info. Or maybe 2 flash drives, depending on the number of folks, and the size of the drive. Then again, we all know that whether federal, state, or local, no gubmint bureaucracy is efficient, and nothing they do saves a dime. Just sayin’.

Daniel 11:20-28
20 “There shall arise in his place one who imposes taxes on the glorious kingdom; but within a few days he shall be destroyed, but not in anger or in battle.
21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue.
22 With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant.
23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people.
24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.
25 “He shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the South with a great army. And the king of the South shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand, for they shall devise plans against him.
26 Yes, those who eat of the portion of his delicacies shall destroy him; his army shall be swept away, and many shall fall down slain.
27 Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time.
28 While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be moved against the holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return to his own land.
