The recall heard round the world
by Ann Coulter

I watched the Wisconsin returns on MSNBC Tuesday night, and it came right down to the wire between “the Democrats were outspent 7-to-1? and “Republicans are stripping union rights!” As we go to press it’s still too close to call.President Obama wanted to go to Wisconsin, but he just didn’t have time. He’s been doing so many campaign fundraisers lately he barely has time to play golf.

The left’s “outspent” argument is ridiculous. Unions take money by force from members, hire hundreds of political operatives and give them salaries to work on campaigns, then call them “volunteers” so their work isn’t reported as a campaign contribution.

Luckily for them, government employees’ non-punishing work schedules leave them plenty of time to be in a constant state of grievance, demanding recalls after any election they lose, and mobilizing voters.

This election had nothing to do with people being paid a fair wage for the work they do. The question is: Do you want a society where the people whose salaries you pay make more than those who pay them?

The Democrats will do anything the government unions ask, because (1) It’s not their money they’re spending, it’s the taxpayers’; and (2) Government unions reciprocate by making sure the Democrats keep getting re-elected.

Once upon a time, the U.S. Military, along with other countries military as well, were actually allowed to fight, and WIN, wars. The last war Americans were allowed to win was WWII. There’s a reason why we call them ‘The Greatest Generation’. They, our forefathers, were more than willing to fight, and die, to preserve freedom….not just for their fellow citizens, but for others, around the world. I’m sorry that we don’t still have that mind set. I’m sorry that our children will never know the men and women who gave their all. 68 years ago, young men took to the beaches in France, pushing forward, inch by inch, life by life, in order to put a stop to the push of the evils of Nazism.

Today, we are fighting a different kind of war…a war to preserve our Constitution, to prevent the spread of the same sort of evil that was invading the world. A war against the extermination of freedom. Will we allow their sacrifice for our freedom, be in vain? Will we not take up the banner?

We are losing this treasure at an alarming rate. They have grown old, and their knowledge is being lost. All my relatives who participated in WWII are gone. If you have any relatives, talk to them. Learn from them. And, above all…..HONOR THEM!

You KNEW It Was Coming!

And there are quite a few other examples on Twitchy.

Now, if you’ll notice, the majority of such comments show a complete lack of knowledge of the English language.  The inability of putting together properly spelled words, into a coherent sentence, speaks volumes about the type of person involved in the recall.

One in particular caught my eye.  Wesley Lam proves his ignorance by uttering:  Someone from the NRA should shoot Scott Walker in the head, GTA-style.  It’s quite obvious Mr Lam is clueless about the NRA, and those who are members.  You see, WE…NRA members, don’t go around shooting people.  Well, unless it’s in self defense, then all bets are off.  However, for Mr Lam to speak such utter nonsense gives one the impression that the said Mr Lam is as ignorant as the other Twitter twits.  I’m going to have to blame WEAC.  It’s obvious they have failed to do their job in educating the young minds of their charges.  Shame….shame….shame!

Apparently, the police are investigating, but considering previous such incidents, those actually charged will get a slap on the wrist, or ignored altogether.

Leftards don’t like losing. When they lose, all that “new civility” comes out in the most vile ways. Classless. Yep…just totally classless.

A Historic Win for Reform in Wisconsin
The Foundry

The state of Wisconsin has once again lived up to its billing as a Midwestern incubator of Big Ideas. In yesterday’s case, when voters resoundingly defeated a liberal effort to recall Governor Scott Walker (R), the Big Idea was that reformers who come armed with the strength of their convictions can carry the day–even against mobs, labor unions, Hollywood, the media, academia and everything else the left throws up these days. All reformers need to do is lead.

In Walker’s case, his weapon in the fight against out-of-control government was a promise to the voters of Wisconsin that, were he entrusted with their vote, he would bring sweeping reforms to state government. One year ago, Governor Walker fulfilled that promise, and last night the voters rewarded him for his leadership by resoundingly rejecting an effort to remove him from power.
