An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

Mourning America

Today would be my parents 61st anniversary.  I’m grateful they didn’t live to see what this nation has turned into….a socialist state, ala the road the Germans took with Hitler’s rise to power, leading up to a World War, and the slaughter of millions.  This is no longer the United States of America, the land of the free.  It IS, however, still the home of the brave.  And I see many brave people fighting against the onslaught, not just at the ballot box.

May she rest in peace, and what rises from the ashes be the nation our founders had intended. We are truly a nation in distress.

There is still hope. The tea-party is still out there, let’s see how many liberal politicians value their positions when it comes up for a vote. Even the liberals aren’t going to like how much their taxes are going to increase (at lease those liberals who actually have a job).

The supreme court has kicked the can down the road by calling it a tax, they might have to rule on it’s constitutionality again in 2 years when the tax goes into effect.

The republicans in congress are vowing to repeal Obamacare in it’s entirety, we’ll see how this retoric from politicians plays out.

Anyways, that’s what I’m getting right now from the talking heads.

I must say Kate that I have been pretty disappointed with the court lately, from the eminent domain ruling, the the campaign finance ruling, and now this.

The Supreme Court forgot their purpose quite a while ago, and I do believe it’s time for us to remind them.  Nope…the Tea Party is far from gone…we’ve just been fighting behind the lines.  Time to step up to the line, and fire!  Not literally ya DHS asswipes!
