Mars and Doughnuts
So, I’m checking out the pictures from Mars, looking at this one picture, and it hits me….apparently, someone has been doing donuts up there! Heh.
Whose Mess?
Please note the upswing in 2007….when the DEMOCRATS took over both houses of Congress. So, when we hear that fool in the White House constantly burbling about inheriting a mess, remember….he ‘inherited’ it from his own party!
The Senate has already rammed their version of the Farm Bill through, but it’s a Farm Bill in name only: 80% of the bill’s spending goes to food stamps. The rest is welfare of a different kind: corporate welfare. The bill is packed with wasteful farm subsidies that mostly benefit the biggest and best-connected farms rather than the small family farmers you might have in mind.
Please, also remember, the senate is being headed by one of the most worthless human beings on the planet…Harry Reid. When they push something, it means more taxes, more wasteful spending, more total BS! More takeover of farming by the government, intent on running the small farms out of business, so their buddies….THE BIG EVIL CORPORATION farms can have a monopoly, PLUS get more people dependent on government for their sustenance. See? That’s how they roll!
Not So Great, and Way Too Powerful!
Hill Poll: Majority believe Obama has changed country for worse
Two-thirds of likely voters say President Obama has kept his 2008 campaign promise to change America — but it’s changed for the worse, according to a sizable majority.
A new poll for The Hill found 56 percent of likely voters believe Obama’s first term has transformed the nation in a negative way, compared to 35 percent who believe the country has changed for the better under his leadership.
Only two thirds? What are the other third doing? Smoking their gubmint subsidized pot? Living in a complete stupor? Of course he has kept only ONE promise he made…to change the country….and he did. Changed it into something totally unrecognizable! And how about we drop that ‘first term’ nonsense, and go with ONLY term, eh?
The feeling that Obama has changed the country for the worse is strongest among Republicans, at 91 percent, compared to 71 percent of Democrats who support Obama’s brand of change.
Well, if those 71 percent of Democrats actually LIKE the ugly transformation, perhaps they are living in the wrong country. If this is the type of governing they want, there is Cuba, and Venezuela, and I bet even Putin would welcome them, since he seems to be their type of ‘leader’. Ya know…at one time, Democrats were actually almost decent people. Can’t say that anymore. Oh, there are some…mostly the older generation, who still vote Dem, but don’t believe in what they’re doing. Then why vote the party? Just because your parents and grandparents did, doesn’t mean you have to! I mean, after all, that is the party of slavery and murder. Do ya really want to approve of such?
The 20th century speaks volumes of their change. We just weren’t paying attention. I guess people just didn’t want to believe their ‘fellow’ Americans would be so horrible as to push for the eradication of an entire race, through the slaughter of innocents. The slaughter continues, and people don’t seem to have a problem with it. What is wrong with this picture? Hug a tree, but kill a baby! Speak out for the slaughter in Dafur, but support the murder of millions. Earn millions from play acting, yet push for ‘social equality’ from their over priced mansions. Call for the ‘redistribution of wealth’ but owes hundreds of thousands in back taxes, and refuse to pay their ‘fair share’.
We are no longer a productive nation, thanks, in large part to the Obama policies. Sadly, he isn’t the first to totally ignore the Constitution. The left’s hero, FDR did too. As did Woodrow Wilson. It’s just the Obama has gone above and beyond just eroding our liberties. Appointed bureaucracies have done a great job of that. He’s flat out ripped them from us, and we have sat idly by and allowed it to happen. The first time he signed one of those executive orders, when Nancy Pelosi walked through the streets, taunting citizens with that gavel, we should have risen up, and kicked the whole kit n kaboodle out on their collective commie asses!
We have an extremely important election coming up, and it not just the White House that is at stake. Constitutional representatives MUST take seats in both the House and the Senate. We cannot risk another four years of this sort of governance. We MUST restore, and preserve, our Republic.
Gee…Let’s Be More Like….THE COMMIES!
Last time I checked….I do NOT live in Communist China, although it’s not for the lack of trying on the part of the Obama administration. If LaHood wants all that high speed train nonsense, that few people here would use, then he can pay for it out of his OWN pocket! Why should I, who do NOT live in Commiefornia, be on the hook for a high speed train….well….ANYWHERE? They are already so far in debt, they may never see daylight, because of their irresponsible spending…which would be the communist mindset….other people’s money.
By nature, we are an independent breed. Well, at least REAL Americans are….I can’t consider liberal/progressive/socialists/commies as real Americans. Shoot, those types would have never made it during the founding and expansion of the country. REAL Americans like to do it for themselves! The NOT real Americans want someone else do the hard work, and take the fruits of their labor for themselves. Have you seen China’s ghost cities? That’s pretty much what those trains will look like….mostly empty. Since China has the same problem with their trains as we would here, then excuse me if I wonder….what the hell is LaHood talking about?
Hey…LaHood….if you like the commies so much, you are more than welcome to leave! We happen to LIKE our independence!
Transportation Secretary Wants Us to Be Like Communist China
The Foundry
China’s attempt at a high-speed rail network is fraught with corrupt officials, impossible costs, and deadly safety failures. But U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood wishes America would follow it as a model.
LaHood told The Cable last week:
The Chinese are more successful [in building infrastructure] because in their country, only three people make the decision. In our country, 3,000 people do, 3 million. In a country where only three people make the decision, they can decide where to put their rail line, get the money, and do it. We don’t do it that way in America.
His comments are stunning. Yes, that’s how Communists do it: A few people make decisions for the country and control the money, land, resources, and workers. And how has that worked out?
“Rather than demonstrating the advantages of centrally planned long-term investment, as its foreign admirers sometimes suggested, China’s bullet-train experience shows what can go wrong when an unelected elite, influenced by corrupt opportunists, gives orders that all must follow — without the robust public discussion we would have in the states.” That sounds like a direct rebuttal to LaHood, but Washington Post editorial writer Charles Lane wrote that back in April 2011.
The Telegraph (U.K.) reported in February that 70 percent of China’s railway projects had been suspended, as its railways ministry attempted to continue deficit financing while facing slow ticket sales. Last year, a deadly train crash brought safety concerns and corruption at the highest levels of the railway to light.
