We Said NO!
States Should Wait Before Accepting Obamacare

The Supreme Court upheld Obamacare’s individual mandate to purchase health insurance, but it also struck down part of the law. That part—forcing states to expand their Medicaid programs—offers governors some much-needed relief.
Expanding Medicaid, the government health insurance program for the poor and disabled, was one of President Obama’s main ways to increase the number of insured people through Obamacare. This was no magic solution for the uninsured, especially since Medicaid is in need of reform, not expansion.
States’ share of the cost of Medicaid is already crushing state budgets. “In the past decade, Medicaid spending has increased at nearly twice the rate of states’ tax revenue,” according to a new report.
The only ways to expand Medicaid are to raise taxes, cut other state programs, or slash health care providers’ reimbursements in Medicaid even more. And so far, the majority of America’s governors have said they won’t do it.
Governor Bob McDonnell (R–VA) sent a letter to President Obama on behalf of the Republican Governors Association: “Before making any final policy decisions,” he explained, “governors must carefully consider the short and long-term implications of an expanded entitlement program and the consequences of significantly increasing the size of government to manage these programs.” The question of a Medicaid expansion faces every state, including Democratic governors who are still on the fence.
Punishing The Victim
Sometimes, you come across something that literally makes your chin drop to the floor. While snooping around, I came across this little tidbit of pap from last week:

The title was enough to grab my attention. Rape? Not important? The woman pictured is the supposed ‘women and family minister. Well, Morocco IS a civilized country, isn’t it? Perhaps I am just misunderstanding the headline. So, I read…..
Hakkoui told legislators from the Justice and Development party in May that “the issue of child sexual abuse has been politically exploited by associations, which have greatly harmed Morocco’s image abroad.”
She also said that the marriage of underage girls should be on the table for discussion, “because many advanced countries allow girls to marry at the age of 14.”
Uh… wait a minute… exploitation and the sexual abuse of children isn’t a political issue, it’s a HUMAN issue. In what ‘advanced country’ is it ok for a 14 year old to be married off? Which one? I’m really curious. Advanced? Well, no, I can’t think of any current civilization that is ‘advanced’ that condones little girls….and they are still little girls, even if some 14 year olds think otherwise….getting married.
The comments came in the wake of the suicide of 16-year-old Amina al-Filali, who took her own life rather than submit to a marriage to the man who raped her. Her death led to calls to eliminate the marriage exception to Morocco’s rape law.
A kid would rather kill herself than be married to the animal who forced himself on her? First, in what sane world would anyone FORCE a girl to live the rest of her life with a pig that obviously has no regard for females. Rape is brutal, and obviously, this…female minister either condones it, has enjoyed it, or has never experienced it.
Under the current law, if an underage girl is raped, and her rapist marries her, only a person with “certain social status” can press rape charges.
So, you have to be of a specific ‘social status’ to press charges against a rapist? What social status would that be? I’m guess it wouldn’t be the poor girls, who lives in poverty, would it. Perhaps an imams kid? Then, the abused girl might be murdered by her family. Do they do that in Morocco too? “Honor” and all that, y’know. But what about the girls ‘honor’? Shouldn’t the rapist be the one to be punished….quite brutally, if I had my druthers.
Oh, but wait, did I say ‘sane world’? How foolish of me! This is a MUSLIM country, and as we all know, sanity is not part of the cult of Mohammed! I guess when people bow down to a fake god, and worship a pedophile murderer, sanity never plays a part in the culture. Moroccan law is totally based on Islam. Nope….not a shred of sanity to be seen! But a WHOLE lot of evil is evident!
