Romney, Obama dig in over ‘you didn’t build that’ furor

The campaign debate over President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” remark raged on Wednesday even as Mitt Romney arrived in London for his overseas trip — with Obama conducting damage control in a new TV ad and Romney’s campaign hammering back with, “he said it, he meant it.”

The president over the past several days has argued that Republicans twisted his words and took them out of context. While Romney claims Obama was talking about businesses when he said, “if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that,” Obama now says he was actually trying to make the point that business owners “didn’t build” roads and bridges — something he had referred to earlier in the speech.

The president was out with a new TV ad making that case, and refuting recent GOP ads. The ad shows Obama looking straight into the camera, saying: “Those ads, taking my words about small business out of context, they’re flat-out wrong. Of course Americans build their own businesses.”

He really DOES think we’re stupid!  We’re incapable of hearing his words, IN CONTEXT, and coming to a conclusion.  Contrary to some in this country (ON THE LEFT) I don’t base my opinions on what some moronic talking head on MSNBC tells me…or even on Fox, for that matter.  No, I base my opinions on what I find out for myself.  I observe, I read, I examine as much information as I can, and THEN…I form an opinion.  I use logic…common sense, and my own experiences in life.

You see, MR Obama, we have been watching what you do, AND listening to what you say.  Pretty speeches are nice, and wind up a crowd, to the point of fainting on occasion, but actions speak a WHOLE lot louder than words.  Your words are lies, your actions are proof.  It’s as simple as that.

A question:  Who do YOU think built those roads?  The government?  Well, there was a person, somewhere back along the line, who worked hard, building up his road building business, put in a bid, won a contract, and was paid through the taxpayer funded transportation fund.  So, no….it was NOT the government who built those roads.  It was a small business person, with a dream.

Now get the hell out of our way, and let US do what WE do best!
