treason n. the crime of betraying one’s country, defined in Article III, section 3 of the U. S. Constitution: “Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.” Treason requires overt acts and includes the giving of government security secrets to other countries, even if friendly, when the information could harm American security. Treason can include revealing to an antagonistic country secrets such as the design of a bomber being built by a private company for the Defense Department. Treason may include “espionage” (spying for a foreign power or doing damage to the operation of the government and its agencies, particularly involved in security) but is separate and worse than “sedition” which involves a conspiracy to upset the operation of the government.

Judge asked to stop Tenn. vote certification
A federal judge will consider today whether to stop Tennessee from certifying the vote in this month’s U.S. Senate Democratic primary election.
Fourth-place finisher Larry Crim sued the Tennessee Democratic Party, its executive committee and state chairman, Chip Forrester, plus the Tennessee Division of Elections in federal court on Wednesday and asked for an emergency ruling. Federal Judge Kevin Sharp set a hearing for this morning to consider whether to stop the vote certification.

The state party has disavowed the winner of the Aug. 2 primary, Mark Clayton, because of his anti-gay platform. Party officials said Clayton wasn’t a Democrat because the only time he has voted in party primaries was when he ran for Senate four years ago.
Clayton got nearly 50,000 votes, or twice the number of his nearest competitor, in a field of seven little-known candidates to challenge incumbent Republican Sen. Bob Corker in November. Crim came in fourth, with just over 17,000 votes.
Well, actually, ya didn’t just lose….ya got yer hind end handed to ya! Heh. Apparently, to be considered a Democrat, you have to support every single perversion known to man? You have to support the murder of children? The voters spoke, but y’all don’t like the answer, so you ‘disavow’ your own candidate? Sorry, but that’s not very democratic of you! Talk about disenfranchising the voter! Sheesh!
“I find it a travesty that Chip Forrester certifies him to be a candidate for the U.S. Senate as a Democratic candidate, and then literally before lunch the next day goes out and berates this man,” Rowan said.
Yup! YOUR party’s chair certified him! Ya might want to think about replacing him, not the WINNER! Deal with it, and move on! Vote for the guy in the general, or not….but to behave like petty children? Oh…sorry…I forgot…that’s your M.O.! Never mind!

Such subsidies are contrary to the free market principles. ALL of them should be stopped…..immediately! If the consumer likes a product, in this case, wind energy, and they find it reliable, then they are free to purchase said product. Once again, forcing taxpayers to prop up a business is NOT a smart way to run a country. Then again, contrary to what so many seem to think, this administration really isn’t all that smart….they are destructive. Fail or succeed, it is up to the business owner…NOT the taxpayer. Think Solyndra!
Wind Energy Subsidies Are As Useful As VHS Tape Subsidies

The wind production tax credit is set to expire at the end of this year, which has the industry crying out for continued subsidies.
Heritage’s Nicolas Loris has made the case that the wind energy tax credit makes as much sense as a VHS production tax credit. Can you imagine the logic: “We can’t afford to lose our VHS tape manufacturing plants. They provide valuable jobs. Americans need a variety of ways to watch recorded entertainment.”
Loris says this is what proponents of wind energy tax credits sound like.
Wasting taxpayer dollars on different but similar programs—claiming that these subsidies really are necessary to create jobs or prevent layoffs—simply creates a “subsidies for me but not for thee” mentality in Washington….Renewable energy production tax credits have received support from Democrats, Republicans, and industry groups, but that doesn’t make it good policy.
The credit is a huge handout to wind producers, allowing them to sell their electricity for less than market price. They would profit even if they offered it for free—because they would still pocket the subsidy.
Evil On The Mount
While waiting for my coffee pot to do it’s thing, so I could get some caffeine flowing, I happened across an op-ed from a couple of weeks ago in Arutz Sheva. I have to tell you, I’m totally baffled! It’s title caught my eye, and being the nosy person I am, I had to read.
If this is a Jew on the Temple Mount
I’m not sure why it caught my eye, but after reading it, I’m totally perplexed! The Temple Mount, the holiest place on earth for Jews, and they are basically barred from …. well… being Jews there. While in Israel, we saw many beautiful places, but to me, the Wall most beautiful…marred by a structure built by evil. It wasn’t physical beauty, it was a spiritual beauty. Built by Solomon, destroyed by the Babylonians, rebuilt, and destroyed by the Romans, it is more than just the remainder of a once beautiful building. It is a reminder of what happens when people turn away from God.
Jews from around the world, and yes, Christians too, travel to pray there….not to a wall, but to God, who created all. Set in Jerusalem, the CAPITAL (got it Carney?) of the nation of Israel, home to Jews for thousands of years, given by God, they are treated like criminals.
The echo of the Temple Mount crime, which is the fact that it is a crime for a Jew to mention God’s name on the site, should reverberate in the Western world and in the mind of any cultured person, regardless of his religious identity.
In the Jewish world’s most sacred site, the rules, imposed by the Islamic Wakf with the cooperation of the Israeli police, are enforcing racism, anti-Semitism and Stalinism.
Prevented from worshiping by the current head of a religion, made up by a murderous pedophile, who never step foot in Jerusalem? Someone has their priorities totally screwed up!

Does no one see a major problem here? It would be like a Catholic forbidden to pray at the Vatican! This is truly an outrage! This is the place where Jesus was presented as a child, taught and prayed. It is part of our Christian heritage too. The Jews are being denied their heritage, and to me, that reeks of evil. When will people stand up and say “NO MORE”? Kowtowing to evil? I don’t flippin’ think so! We must stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters!
