An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
Congrats To The New Mr & Mrs
The Mr and I went to the wedding of my pastor’s daughter yesterday. BEAUTIFUL! Naturally!
I wanted to get a picture of she and her dad, who were both sniffling, coming down the aisle, however, there were all these TALL people in my way. sigh… I had forgotten to grab my camera, so all the shot were taken with my iPhone. And we all know phones don’t take the greatest pictures. sigh…

I didn’t get a very good shot of the flower girl, little Miss Maddie. Gracious sakes, she’s growing up so fast. I remember her when she was barely a bump in mommy’s tummy! sigh…

They were pronounced man and wife, and the pastor gave permission to ‘kiss your bride’.

The reception was held in a rather unusual place….the TVA building (Tennessee Valley Association). Hey…it was right across the street from the church, so quite convenient.
As everyone walked in, a couple of the ladies got everyone’s thumb print. They were making a tree, and the prints were suppose to be the ‘fruit’? I dunno. Thought it was a pretty cool idea, but a wee bit disturbing. LOL If it had been anyone else’s wedding, I think I might have refused. Heh.
The bride and groom showed up after having the required pics taken at the church. No one was there to tell ‘em what to do, so they all sat down on the dais.

Eventually, someone told ‘em to chip on the cake, so….

I had never heard of fondant, but apparently it’s something that is quite difficult to cut with a knife, but less a plastic fork. I think the bride might have had an easier time if she had used a chainsaw.
It was a beautiful wedding, with a beautiful bride, a handsome groom, and weepy parents. It was great!
The church actually reminded me of Bruton Parish Church, but I’m not really sure why. It really didn’t look like it.
Ok, I just have to add this one. If she ever got on the computer, she might kill me, but sometimes, I just can’t help m’self! Heh.

Getting married is sort of fun.
Making the marriage last takes a LOT of sincere effort and work!!!
Happily, these two are quite grounded.
