An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
Politicians Aren’t Suppose To Speak The TRUTH!
And Just What Was Wrong With What Mitt Romney Said?
Neal Boortz
Here … for those of you who haven’t been paying attention … is what Romney said in response to a question from an attendee at the fund raiser:
“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement … and the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax. …. My job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”
The video here, along with some liberal spin.
What, exactly, the percentage will be of people who vote for Obama, despite the fact he is the WORST president this country has ever seen, I have no idea. But I’m sure it’s a pretty good sized number. Discounting those elderly, who the administration has scared witless over a programs that should never have existed in the first place (it’s called personal responsibility, and preparing for your own retirement), and the student included in the Yahoo piece, who likely don’t work, or if they do, make minimum wage, there are a large number of people who will be voting for Obama that are on the public dole, or they will be voting for him because of the color of his skin (isn’t that racist?).
It’s rather difficult to convince someone who has gotten use to having a check come in once a month, for as long as they can remember, from the ‘government’ that the government has no money, and it’s not them that are paying for them to sit home and watch soaps all day, that it would be in their best interest to make an effort to do something constructive with their life. We also hear a lot of about the working poor. Yep, there are quite a few, and more since Obama took office with cuts in salary, having to settle for a job they did not train for, etc. But the key word there is WORKING! They are doing their best to support their families in an extremely sucky economy, so I won’t fault them for accepting food stamps. I don’t mind helping out those who are doing their best to help themselves.
So, when Romney said there are people who are going to vote for Obama, no matter what, he’s right. They will. Especially those who feel entitled, even though they are entitled to NOTHING, but what they can do for themselves, which apparently, in some cases, is nothing.
Not that they can’t, but they won’t. Why should they…Obama is gonna pay their mortgage and put gas in their car!
