An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
Presidential Debate #2
Do you ever have the overwhelming need to take someone by the shoulders and shake them till their head rattles? I got that feeling a LOT last night. I do have to admit that Obama was a bit more animated, but his inability to tell the truth when it DOES smack him upside the head is just mind boggling. I kind of doubt I’m not the only one who notice most of his responses were pretty much exactly the same as his speeches on the stump. The could have just had a tape of him, from any number of his campaign speeches….really doesn’t matter which parts, because he mostly failed to answer the specific questions that were asked by the audience.
Governor Romney, on the other hand, did do his best to answer the questions. That is, until Obama interrupted him. I did notice that after a while, Romney was also doing some interrupting of his own. Considering that Obama got more time than he did, can’t say as I blame him, although it is rude. If he hadn’t, likely all we would have heard is just one more word for word speech from the man/child. You could tell, by the look on his face, he was getting frustrated.
One point in Obama’s favor….he didn’t do all the cackling that Biden did, although there were plenty of smirks. That line from Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men comes to mind…”You can’t handle the truth!” Mr Obama has a real problem with truth! Repeating the same tired old accusations that have been proven false, time and time again, is pretty pathetic, and extremely un-presidential.
One of the many whoppers…Obama claimed that he called the attack in Benghazi ‘a terrorist attack’. The Rose Garden speech does mention the word terror:
No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.
However, as is typical, Mr Obama twisted the truth….he NEVER called the attack on our consulate and the murder of our countrymen an ‘act of terror’. It was at least two weeks AFTER the murders that he finally conceded it was a planned attack on OUR soil against OUR representatives. To me, that is an act of war. To the Obama administration, it’s an every day, ordinary crime.
The numbers he keeps making up as he goes along are easy to check as well. Apparently, he’s counting on his base to remain ignorant.
Sad to say, the critics were correct in questioning Crowley as moderator. She may have attempted to be neutral, but quite a few times, her bias would shine through. Did they goes through a pool of the most left leaning “journalists” they could find, and pick out the ones with no objectivity? Whoever decided on the two women moderators must have been smoking crack.
While Obama did do a bit better in this debate, I’m going to have to say that Romney won once again. Content, believability, and style are quite important when deciding on a president. Who would make a better leader? Obama has no content, and his lack of presidential behavior is all too apparent. He is definitely NO leader! He is not good for this country, as is evidenced by the shape we are in today. It is time for him to retire to his rumored multi million dollar mansion in Hawaii.
Romney – 2
Obama – ZIP

Candy Crowley joined in on Obama’s side in such a big way, like some kind of tag-wrestler.
Jabba should have been disqualified and replaced before the debate due to her comments prior. Told people she wasn’t going to follow the rules that had been laid out by BOTH campaigns. Just amazing that they really think we are so stupid as to be she wasn’t biased? Paaaaleeeeez!
