An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

This is what you get when you remove God, forget the REASON, and don’t teach your kids manners. They turned into freakin’ thugs….all just to save a few cents on something they don’t need, likely don’t really want, probably can’t afford, and will end up tossing in a corner to gather dust! And yes, even those who believe themselves to be ‘well bred’ turn into complete morons! Best way to stop this? Stop participating in this ridiculous ritual!
And YES! My youngest granddaughter IS beautiful! The Ick in law is already contemplating bars and shotguns! Heh!
Liberty Council has come up with their “Naughty or Nice” (.pdf) List for 2012. You know, those companies that like to make lots of money at Christmas, but don’t acknowledge just WHY they make lots of money. Christmas isn’t about money and getting presents anyway! If that’s why some people ‘celebrate’, they are going to be in for a very rude awakening!
Here’s the “Naughty” list:
77kids – never heard of ‘em.
Abercrombie & Fitch – hootchie store that smells like what I would assume a French whorehouse smells like
aerie – another one I’ve never heard of
American Eagle Outfitters – way overpriced anyway
Athleta – huh
Banana Republic – a third world country
EB Games powered by GameStop – heard of Game Stop, but not EB… whatever
Gap, Inc. – another overpriced place
Garmin – they don’t seem to have a problem with using Christmas music for their commercials. Wouldn’t have one!
J. Crew Outfitters – wonder if that’s why MO shops there.. Hmmm….
Old Navy – always thought their stores looked like bigger Dollar Generals
Piperlime – where are these places?
Polo Ralph Lauren & Ralph Lauren – always thought Ralph Lauren thought WAY to highly of his crap
RadioShack aka “The Shack® – typically avoid them because most of the sales people are down right clueless
Tractor Supply Company – have to have the Mr check out if ours has any reference… bird seed y’know
The “Nice” list is a WHOLE lot longer, thankfully, so y’all can just go on over to the link, and check ‘em out for yourselves.
I seriously doubt he’d want the job. LOL But this is what we need! No more worrying about offending the fence sitters. No more kowtowing to the left so they’ll “like us”. Screw them! Tell the truth! If they don’t like the truth, then that’s THEIR problem! Let the media have it with both barrels!!

Fervor for the television show “Dallas” was intense in 1980, when the Queen Mother met actor Larry Hagman and joined the worldwide chorus asking: “Who shot J.R.?”
“Not even for you, ma’am,” replied Hagman, who portrayed villainous oil baron J.R. Ewing at the center of the popular prime-time soap from 1978 until 1991.
An estimated 300 million viewers in 57 countries had seen J.R. get shot by an unseen assailant, a season-ending plot twist that is credited with popularizing the cliffhanger in television series.
Hagman, who became a television star in the 1960s starring in the sitcom “I Dream of Jeannie,” died Friday at a Dallas hospital, said a spokesman for actress Linda Gray, his longtime co-star on “Dallas.” He was 81.
I have to admit, I stopped watching Dallas after a couple of years. I lived there, I didn’t need to, and following a soap opera is time consuming. Although, the Mr did get me watching the ‘come back’…with the kids all growed up, just as scheming and deceptive as their parents. I was a bigger fan of “I Dream of Jeanie”. Hey… I was a lot younger then. :D As a young’un, I found it fascinating the he was Peter Pan‘s son. Hey… I told you… I was a KID!
Rest in peace.
