An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

The Last Goodbye

It’s been a year since I had seen him. I went up to Drinking Right’s Christmas party last January, and saw many friends, and made a few news ones. It was a great time!

Left to right: Kevin, Steve aka AB, Sam, Fred, Tammy, Chad, & Dan.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t a DR: Lakeside edition in August as usual, because of well, none of your business, and I wasn’t able to make it to this year’s DR Christmas party due to health issues. So, the last time I saw him…. January 2012. Now, I will never see him again. Nor will any of the other people who loved and admired Steve, The Asian Badger.

If you didn’t know him, know of him, or never read his blog back when he was writing, you missed a great deal. This was a man whose heart was HUGE. He was a pilot. He flew sick kids and their families to where they needed to go for treatment. Thanks to him, many were saved. Unfortunately, he also lost a few. But he gave with a heart than only many of us wish we had, and will never achieve.

Goodbye my friend. You will be sorely missed. I am VERY angry with you for leaving us, and pray that God will grant you the peace you seek.

Little edit – that’s not Wiggy – that’s Kevin Binversie

And dammit – thanks for making me cry – AGAIN! I’ve been avoiding blogs & such because my eyes are swollen and my face is chapped from the tears shed. Eventually I’ll likely write a post, but I just can’t yet.

AB will most DEFINITELY be missed. Sigh.
