An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
When I am out visiting with my constituents around Tennessee the number one concern people talk to me about is the amount of fiscal waste in the federal government. It is clear to people that Washington does not have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem. We’ve all heard the saying ‘money doesn’t grow on trees,’ but if you listen to some of the bureaucrats in Washington you’d think it does. You and I know better though.
That’s why I wanted to share with you a 2011 GAO Report identifying federal programs, agencies, offices, and initiatives which have duplicate functions, and are areas where we could begin to eliminate some waste. Read the report and share it with your friends and neighbors. Wasteful spending is out of control and it has to stop.
