An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
You might have noticed I haven’t posted anything all afternoon and evening. Or not. Either way, there was a darn good reason!
We drove to Memphis…well, actually, Germantown, but to me, it’s all the same thing….to have dinner with about 998 other pro-life folks! Dear lady, Charlotte Bergmann, who ran against Steve Cohan back in 2010, and SHOULD have won, invited us to the L.C. Friends fund raiser. The featured speaker was the author of Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy, Eric Metaxas. He was FANTASTIC! I’d give you a run down, but I’m exhausted! Read the book. Learn the lesson.
We met some great folks, and even ran into Rep Marsha Blackburn, looking lovely as ever, who was honored with an award for her 100% pro-life voting record.
I encourage everyone to support this great cause! Saving babies is a good reason to get involved. I would like to see an extension of it set up over in our neck of the woods!
And no, I didn’t take any pictures. I was too fascinated listening to the speakers, and chatting with our table mates.
