An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

You Might Live In A Country Founded By Geniuses……

….you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for being in the country illegally.

….you have to get your parent’s permission to go on a field trip or take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion.

….the only school curriculum allowed to explain how we got here is evolution, but the government stops a $15 million construction project to keep a rare spider from evolving to extinction.

….you have to show identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book, but not to vote on who runs the government.

….the government wants to ban stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines with more than ten rounds, but gives 20 F-16 jet fighters to the crazy new leaders in Egypt.

….in the largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not a 24-ounce soda because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat.

….an 80-year-old woman can be stripped searched by the TSA but a woman in a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched.

….your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more.

….a seven year old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher cute, but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable.

….children are forcibly removed from parents who discipline them with spankings while children of addicts are left in filth and drug infested homes.

….hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government intrusion, while not working is rewarded with EBT cards, WIC checks, Medicaid, subsidized housing, and free cell phones.

….the government’s plan for getting people back to work is to incentivize NOT working with 99 weeks of Unemployment checks and no requirement to prove they applied but can’t find work.

….you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest big screen TV while your neighbor buys iPhones, TVs and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage.

….being stripped of the ability to defend yourself makes you more safe according to the government.

In the name of diversity, inclusion, and tolerance you have PCism and Multi-culturalism taught in our universities to the point that everyone self-segregates into their own centers : African-American Center, Hispanic-Center, Women’s Center, etc.

An old time segregationist would be weeping in pride at what he sees being taught in our schools: Distrust of all others “not like me”, a thriving grievence industry that tells everyone that all other groups “owe” you for past injustices, and the dehumanizing effects of “they, them, and the other” mentality being taught about all groups not like you.

If you question or accuse a gov’t official of something, even if it’s true, gov’t services against you or have you investigated – but if someone flings a false allegation against you person to person they can do so with impunity.

We classify peaceful protests against expanding gov’t as “violence prone”, “racist”, and “a possible threat to national security” – but we classify anarchist spoiled thugs of “Occupy” as idealist poetic agents of change and enlightenment.

We try to disarm the people and call those who speak up against it “nut jobs”, “conspiracy tin foil hat folk”, or “dangerous” – while the DHS stockpiles over a billion rounds of hollow point ammo and while they buy over 2000 armored vehicles specifically designed to fight an insurgency.

As an addition to my last paragraph to my last post : in case anyone thought I was joking (or off my meds):

Saw someone attempt to dispute Gateway Pundit’s post, and then I saw a priest posting about UN tanks not far from where he lives. I think we need to be a whole lot more prepared for what is coming than attempting to disprove any thing. But then, I’m weird like that. :D
