How Sweet!
I got a participation trophy!
Mr Rob at American and Proud, one of my favorite people, awarded me a

According to the rules I have to…
1. Copy and paste the Major Award to my blog. Done it.
2. Link back the person who gave me the award. Done it, up top.
3. Pick out five favorite blogs with less than 200 followers, and leave a comment on their blog to let them know they have received the award. Doing it.
4. Hope that the five blogs chosen will keep spreading the love and pass it on to five more blogs. Ya’ll best be doin it!
Now, I don’t know if Rob had this dilemma or not, but I have no idea how many ‘followers’ my favorites have. To be honest, I don’t even know how many I have. But, I’ll give it my best shot. I’m guessing I can’t name him, cuz he’s already gotten his award. I might have a tough time limiting it to just five.
So….
Here are my five in no particular order.
Be Sure You’re RIGHT, Then Go Ahead
DANG! That was a LOT harder than I thought it would be! Changed a few a couple of times. Only five? UGH! I’ve definitely got more than five favorites. sigh… The rules don’t say I can’t have honorable mentions, does it? Shoot, if I did that, I’d be here all day, making links to all my favorites. Heh. Let’s see, there’s Badger Blogger, Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. (when she ever gets around to posting anything, it usually pretty darn good stuff!). Then there’s Cmblake6′s, Grandpa John’s…..the list would get very long! So, I’m gonna leave it at that. Oh, and we mustn’t forget the afore mentioned American and Proud as well!
Whoo Hoo!
The infamous Miss Phelony Jones is back in the blog world!! ‘Bout bloomin’ time!
Blogroll Addition
I just had to add commonsensicalcat to my blogroll.
Go take a look around. I’m sure you’ll figure out why.
An Addition
Well, after being in Tennessee for about 18 months, I have discovered all kinds of blogs, both right, left and center. I FINALLY got around to adding one from the left that is actually quite terrific. Yes, she’s left, I’m right, but she is quite a blogger, and has some interesting stuff about the doin’s in Tennessee. I’ve linked back to her on a number of things recently, so why wouldn’t I add her to the “Blogs I Frequent”, since I do seem to frequent her site. Well, as much as I’m able to ‘frequent’ anything lately.
Go, check her out!
I also had to drop a couple of sites that haven’t updated in a while. I might be able to cut the list over there a little more, but for now…it’s LOOOOONG list. Still.
I also dropped a couple that are nothing but attacks sites, and honestly, that gets old.
For a variety of sites, I’d suggest you check out the BNN sites for all the states. It’s kind of neat to get opinions from all over the country. Just in case ya didn’t know, I’m the “editor” for Tennessee. I know there’s been some controversy recently with the head honcho, David, but I’ll leave that between those involved.
Our “Neighbors” To The South
In recent years, the violence and corruption has increased in Mexico, and especially in towns bordering the U.S. Has anyone in Washington noticed? Evidently not, since our border is still basically wide open, inviting the drug dealers, and every day thugs, into our country. All I had to do was Google “violence in Mexico” to come up with lists of headlines. The corruption is spreading faster than a $2 hooker into the local U.S. governments.
Do the morons in D.C. give a happy crap? Nope! We’ve got a couple of presidential candidate who are blind, deaf, and dumb. Emphasis on the dumb!

U.S. Cites Rise in Violence Along Border With Mexico – 11 February 2006
The list seems to be endless!
Now, I know there are a lot of people who think those invading from the south are just “migrants” looking for a better life. Do they ever stop to think those drug thugs are sending drugs into the U.S. and the street thugs, aka “gangs” are bring the violence to the streets of cities all across the country?
How many have to be murdered in this “war” before people wake up and see the need for SERIOUS border security? I mean major fire power! The federal government should deputize groups like the Minute Men, with orders to shoot to kill!
Time to say…..
ENOUGH!
Do something, or “We, The People” will!

Reclaim Conservatism
For the last couple of days, I’ve been trying to figure out how to post this tiny little logo ![]()
into my “In 2008″ links on the left, with a link to this site. I have been so dependent on Mr’s Bushwack and silent E, I wanted to show ‘em ol’ dogs CAN learn new tricks.
Pfft! I can’t even locate the place to put it. This ol’ dog seems to need her tummy scratched. sigh….
And by the way, it’s an excellent site! Go, check it out. No doubt it’ll chap a few libs hides. Heh. In the meantime, I’ll get that sucker on there one way or another! ![]()
An Addition
While some might be a tad surprised I have added a certain blog “from the left” to my roll. I have to admit, I’ve had some interesting conversations with the administrator of said blog. We’ve seen a glimmer of common ground on the rare occasion, and this is a good thing. However, there are some areas we will probably never see eye to eye. That’s ok. I can live with that.
Civility is a good way to come to a better understanding, and I’m all for that.
Disclaimer, sorta:
I will also admit, I find many ….. ok, the majority, of the posts to be personal attacks of certain individuals in the media, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why. (Discuss the issue, not the person who brings it up! Although, I think we’re all guilty of that from time to time.) I added him anyway, just because….. well,I can. Perhaps more civility will bring us all to a better understanding, if not agreement.
An Addition
I’m going to have to link to this guy! Granted, he’s only made one post so far, but I see good things ahead. I mean, after all, if No Runny Eggs is linking…..Â
So, Do The Right Thing, and keep an eye on him, K?
Just Another WordPress Weblog
The Ick and pals have launched another website. The name sums it up: Epitome of Nothing. Just day to day stuff that we all notice. Go give them a look see, tell them what ya think…politely!
Personal opinion….so far, so good.
Blogroll Addition
Thanks to From Where I Sit, I have found a new blog. Well, it might not be new, but since it’s new to me, I’m just gonna say it’s new, ok?Â
I’m adding him to my ‘Blogs I Frequent’. Yes, it’s long, but every now and then, I do delete one or two that don’t post anymore, or very often. No offense to those, but I have to prune it now and then.
Wonder what part of Tennessee Mr Alehouse resides?
Ick Made His Move
The Ick in law…of Ick’s Corner fame, sports and etc., has made the move. Adjust your blogrolls accordingly.Â
Bloggers of the Female Persuasion

This proves it!Â
A New Blog
If ever there was a town that needing a close eyeball, it seems Sheboygan, Wisconsin is that town. From what I’ve read so far, Sheboygan Shenanigans fits the bill!
H/T: Badger Blogger
An Unholy Cow
I’m adding another blog to the roll over there:
The Truth About Margaret Sanger
Thanks to Calvin.
This is it!
My new digs. Obviously, it’s still under construction. I have much to learn on how to put what where. I have noticed one thing, the pages don’t adjust to fit the size of the monitor. What looks small on the laptop, over whelms on the desktop. Go figure.
So, point and click, get your blogrolls updated, and things will be like ‘normal’.
