Well, this week, the President will be meeting with Shumer and Graham for a progress report on the immigration bill they have been working on.
I think we all are aware of what “revised” means to the Obama Regime. Think ObamaCare and ObamaCare 2.0. The latter was supposed to be the revised bill. It was, in fact, the original bill with a couple, or three, Republican suggestions thrown in to make it more palatable to the GOP and the American people. But, as nobody has actually seen a hard copy of the bill, doubt remains that ObamaCare 2.0 even exists.

I shouldn’t have to ask this question, but it seems I must. Have you stopped to consider how many millions more will pile onto “the dole” US taxpayers will have to support if this NEW amnesty bill passes? 12 million is a drop in the bucket to the REAL figure, which you are NOT going to hear bandied about by this administration, nor the democrat/progressive/socialists in the Congress.
Just as we believe the REAL unemployment figure is closer to 20% than it is to the 9.7% being reported by the government, and the number of jobs lost last month, we believe, is closer to 50,000 than it is to the 36,000 the government reported, we believe the real figure representing illegal aliens in America today is closer to 36 million than to the 12 million, or so, the government has been reporting.

My first response: Are they flippin’ insane? Then I realized, this is a rhetorical question. Of course they are. No one who has an tiny fraction of sanity would even consider a move like this, so they must be insane.
Second response: Lindsay Graham doesn’t like working in Washington. Throw in this, and you’ve got a veritable Democrat in RINO clothing. Wait a minute, I’m repeating myself. Hmm….
I know, I’m going to get all the usual “raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacist” crap, but I don’t give a flip. Call me what you want, but when it comes down to MY home, I don’t much care for people breaking in, and stealing what little I’ve got left. Got it?
What it all boils down to…. “We will give you a vote, if you vote for us!” It’s a power thing. Had absolutely NOTHING to do with all those ‘poor people who are just searching for a better life’! Yeah, at the tax payer’s expense in quite a few cases. Oh, I know there are some who really DO want to work hard, provide for their families, but those folks are the ones who usually go through the LEGAL process, and are pushed aside in favor of their ILLEGAL ‘cousins’.

No, they are not nuts. As we have learned, they just don’t care what you and I think, or want, or NOT want, as the case may be. We don’t count with the current government. They are far smarter than we. They know far better than we what is good for us.There is very little fear of our dissenting votes in Washington, anymore.
The progressive/socialists have managed to secure the votes of the less literate among us in such large numbers as to override our dissenting votes. We warned, months ago, that the progressive/socialists had dispatched armies of “helpers/organizers” into the field to register “new” voters from among those whose livelihood depends on the government check they receive the first of each month. And it worked in 2008.
We can NOT let it work again in 2010, or 2012. If we don’t put a stop to this reckless behavior of our so called representatives, the United States of America, will likely, be no more. And that’s just not acceptable!
Murdering Mexican Journalists
Mexican journalist dismembered, burned, officials say
A Mexican journalist kidnapped in 2007 was cut into pieces and burned in a barrel, the Tabasco state attorney general’s office said.
The determination of reporter Rodolfo Rincon Taracena’s fate was based on confessions from people suspected of abducting him, though the remains believed to be his were not preserved enough for a DNA test, according to the office.
The state attorney general’s office shared the details of an investigation at a news conference in the southern state of Tabasco on Sunday.
Notice the close proximity to the Yucatan, and Quintana Roo. We use to take our vacations in the area, Playa del Carmen. Nice if you are into ruins, which we are. Chitzen Itza is also great. But ya know what? We stopped going to Mexico. Why? Not just because of the illegal problem we are having with our borders, which was the #1 reason, but because, #2 reason, of the increase in violence.
Several DNA tests to confirm the identities of the remains were unsuccessful.
According to the state attorney general’s office, Rincon and others were beheaded and dismembered before being doused with diesel fuel and burned inside the metal drums.
The details of Rincon’s death come at a time when Mexico’s government is under pressure from international press freedom organizations to make progress in investigations of crimes against journalists.
Nice folks, eh? Life means nothing to these animals. Power, money, and the ability to control those around them. I often wonder how they feel, IF they do feel, when members of their own families are so brutally murdered?
Three journalists have been killed in Mexico this year.
And we’re barely into March. I honestly believe that if Mexican wanted to do something about the onslaught of violence in their country, they could. If they want to murder each other, keep it down there. Do NOT import it along with the millions of illegals pouring through our borders. Here’s a much better thought. How about we SECURE our borders, and this might not be an issue? Just a thought.

Judge Finds Grounds to Sanction Arizona Sheriff’s Office
A federal judge has found grounds for sanctioning an Arizona sheriff’s office for its acknowledged destruction of records in a lawsuit that accuses deputies of racially profiling countless Hispanics in immigration patrols.
U.S. District Judge Murray Snow held off on imposing the sanctions against the office of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in the Friday ruling, but indicted he would do so at a later date once related issues were ironed out.
Since early 2008, Arpaio has run 13 immigration and crimes sweeps consisting of deputies and posse volunteers who flood an area of a city — in some cases heavily Latino areas — to seek out traffic violators and arrest other offenders.
Yeah? So, what’s the problem? Ever been to a border state? There are a LOT of ‘heavily Latino areas’!
The handful of Latinos who filed the lawsuit against Arpaio’s office alleged that officers based some traffic stops on the race of Hispanics who were in vehicles, had no probable cause to pull them over and made the stops so they could inquire about their immigration status.
Seriously? They weren’t speeding? Had a tail light out? Didn’t yield to oncoming traffic? Weren’t acting suspicious?
Arpaio is known for tough jail policies, including housing inmates in canvas tents, and pushing the bounds for how local law enforcement agencies can confront illegal immigration.
Again…what’s the problem? At least SOMEONE is taking the safety of the American LEGAL citizens seriously!
Peter Kozinets, one of those attorneys, said Saturday that the document destruction deprived his clients of records that would have shown deputies were selective in whom they approached during the sweeps.
Granted, there are folks who are not Hispanic sneaking into the country, and they should be dealt with as well, but in a state like Arizona? Odds are, the majority of the illegals, LAW BREAKERS, are.
The sheriff’s office said the destruction was an honest error that sprung from a top official not telling others in his office to preserve the documents.
So, some underlings got rid of some papers. I was under the impression computers were suppose to solve the problem of being buried under piles of paper, and save a few trees too. Quite the opposite is true. We shred paper all the time. 
I’m not sure about other folks, but deleting crap off the computer, especially email, is kind of the norm as well. Sure sounds to me like a witch hunt to me. But then, that’s become the norm lately too. Don’t like someone’s policies, or politics, go after them in every way possible.
Illegals are stealing identities, and this is ok? Pfft!
I honestly wish more law enforcement officers and elected officials, who took the oath, would take security as seriously as Sheriff Joe!
Simple Solutions
Invisible fence at U.S.-Mexico border in real trouble
An ambitious, $6.7 billion government project to secure nearly the entire Mexican border with a “virtual fence” of cameras, ground sensors and radar is in jeopardy after a string of technical glitches and delays.
Having spent $672 million so far with little to show for it, Washington has ordered a reassessment of the whole idea. The outlook became gloomier this week when President Barack Obama proposed cutting $189 million from the venture.
Ultimately, the project could be scaled back dramatically, with the government installing virtual fences along a few segments of the nation’s 2,000-mile southern boundary but dropping plans for any further expansion, officials said.
I could name a few folks, right off the top of my head, that could solve this problem for a lot less money, and be a WHOLE lot more effective! I’ve been suggesting a few ways to solve the problem myself over the last few years. Some well placed land mines, gun turrets every 50 yards or so, perhaps some gators in the Rio Grande…..viola! Problem solved.
I have every right to protect my home from people breaking in to rob me blind. The border is just a bigger door, being kicked in, by those who have decided we home owners (LEGAL American citizens) should hand over the keys to the house.

New Amnesty Bill referred to as: “IMMIGRATION REFORM!”

Between now an the November Mid-term election Americans can prepare for yet another attempt by the democrats to shove through the Congress an Amnesty for Illegal Aliens bill. Oh, it won’t be called that, of course, but in essence, that will be exactly the intent of the bill. Look for a bill with the keywords “Immigration Reform” in it.
The fact is, the Dems want the votes of the illegal aliens and the Republicans want the cheap labor. That be over simplification, but it sure does get at the truth of the matter.
Back last summer we warned this would happen. Now, I’m just an Ole Country Boy, down here in the swamps of North Carolina, and I saw it coming, even then. You see, the Obama Regime and the socialist Congress have been using the old magician’s trick of misdirection to attempt to move unsavory legislation through the congress and signed into law before you and I figure out what hit us. At least SOME Americans have awakened to their underhanded methods are crying “foul!” I’m just one of them.

I am so sick of people sneaking into this country and expecting us to be all lovey dovey towards them. I am beyond disgusted by the people who are supposedly committed to protect the CITIZENS of this country from harm are the very ones who would see harm done. I don’t give a flying flip what your country of origin might be, Mexico, Ireland, China….whatever. If you can’t come in through the front door, LEGALLY, get your sorry ass out of my country! I am revolted by an administration who would target an elected law enforcement officer who stands by his oath.
Before anyone gets their knickers in a twist, and start screaming “racist”, “bigot”, etc., think about this….it’s not only people “just looking for a better life” who are sneaking in through the sieve that are our borders. It’s also potential terrorists who would blow your children into so many pieces, you’d have to use a mop to clean them up, and slit your throat not thinking twice. It’s drug dealers who have been waging war against the innocents in Mexico, who kidnap and murder on a regular basis.
We are a land of laws. When the so called powers that be go out of their way to break our own laws, then it’s past time to replace them with those who take our Constitution seriously. Reagan was wrong to grant amnesty, and so is Obama!

Man Claims to Be Illegal Immigrant to Avoid Facing Charge
Border Patrol agents say a U.S. citizen claimed to be in the country illegally, possibly hoping to be deported instead of having to face an attempted murder charge in Southern California.
Agent David Jimarez says a man identified by Santa Ana police as 29-year-old Adolfo Aparicio was arrested Friday in Arizona in an area known for drugs and human smuggling.
Officials say the man misidentified himself and told authorities he was in the country illegally. A felony warrant had been issued for his arrest for the attempted homicide of his wife in Santa Ana.
Aparicio’s true identity was discovered through a fingerprint check. Authorities say he will be extradited from Arizona to face charges in California.
Ok, so let me get this straight. This guy lied to the border patrol, claiming he was in the country illegally believing that he wouldn’t be charged with attempted murder?
Uh….WHAT? I think I must be missing something here.

Time To Focus On Threats, Not Launching Political Amnesty Fight
As if the Obama Administration and DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano didn’t have enough tough issues to handle with the total failure of the post-9/11 system to keep a terrorist with a bomb off our airplanes, the LA Times reports that the Obama Administration is more committed than ever to push for amnesty in 2010. That is madness.
Let’s take a step back and consider where things stand.
First, the economy remains on very fragile ground with millions of Americans out of work, the next pack of home foreclosures to hit, and deficits as far as the eye can see. Add on top of this the half a trillion dollars in new health care taxes, and trillions more in cap and trade energy taxes, and things could get much, much, worse.
Let’s not forget the battle still to be waged over moving all of the terrorists from Gitmo to Illinois, as well as the delivery of some terrorists to Yemen. With reports out that the Christmas Day terrorist had help from at least two terrorists formally held at Gitmo, the Obama Administration will face a growing fight from the Congress and the American people on the issue.
Finally, there are still two wars going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. The announced surge in Afghanistan will pose serious challenges for President Obama and his national security team. We pray his long-delayed action is wildly successful.
Of course, there are other pressing items not noted above, but I think you get the point. There are more than enough items in play that injecting one of the most divisive political issues into the arena is sheer madness.

Past Time To Get Tough
CA pastor accused of student visa conspiracy
Immigration officials have accused a Southern California pastor of helping foreigners fraudulently obtain student visas and handing out phony diplomas at a fake graduation ceremony on a campus where they never attended class.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Wednesday that 65-year-old pastor Samuel Chai Cho Oh surrendered to authorities Tuesday.
Officials say Oh is accused of conspiracy to commit visa fraud for allegedly charging between $600 and $10,000 to help foreigners get visas on the premise they would attend the Christian university he owns in Fullerton.
I’m sure you’re aware if this kind of crap happened in any other country, the SOB would probably be shot, hung, or at the very least, spend the remainder of his days behind bars, surrounded by rats and roaches!
Question for Someone With A “Legal” Mind
I really wish someone would explain to me why Durbin believes this should be repealed, in this bill. After reading both, the first thing that popped into my head was Sheriff Joe.

Arizona Sheriff Launches Controversial Immigration Sweep
An Arizona sheriff known for cracking down on people who are in the country illegally launched a crime and immigration sweep in northwestern metro Phoenix on Friday, a half day after officials in Washington limited his powers to make federal immigration arrests.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose sweeps have led to allegations of racial profiling, said the rebuff from Washington won’t stop him. He said he can still arrest immigrants under a state smuggling law and a federal law that gives all local police agencies more limited power to detain suspected illegal immigrants.
“It doesn’t bother me, because we are going to do the same thing,” said Arpaio, whose deputies had arrested 16 people by Friday evening on unspecified charges. “I am the elected sheriff. I don’t take orders from the federal government.”
Bless his heart! He’s going to do his job. What a novel concept!

Administration Will Cut Border Patrol Deployed on U.S-Mexico Border
Even though the Border Patrol now reports that almost 1,300 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border is not under effective control, and the Department of Justice says that vast stretches of the border are “easily breached,” and the Government Accountability Office has revealed that three persons “linked to terrorism” and 530 aliens from “special interest countries” were intercepted at Border Patrol checkpoints last year, the administration is nonetheless now planning to decrease the number of Border Patrol agents deployed on the U.S.-Mexico border.
To use a tired old phrase: Look up the word insanity, and you’ll find a picture of the ENTIRE Obama administration, and a vast majority of BOTH Houses of Congress. Yes, it’s an extremely large entry.
We have become our own worst enemy! We have watched the flood of illegals, from every corner of the planet, rushing into our country, and what have we done about it? Not a DAMN THING! Nothing! Bush didn’t do dick, and Obama is inviting them in! Yes, it began with Reagan, one of the BIGGEST mistakes he made, but has anyone done anything to stop the flow? Is common sense such an obscure concept it has totally been lost?
We, as a nation, as citizens, are in danger, and no one in Washington, D.C. seems to give a flip. I wonder if they’ll pay attention after the next attack? Will they even notice the blood on their hands? No, they’ll blame Bush. It’s all they know how to do.

They tell us there are 12 million illegals living in the United States of America. 12 million! (I don’t believe, for a second, there are ONLY 12 million illegal aliens in America!) But, for the sake of this commentary, let us accept, for the moment, that figure is true. That means the southern border of the US has been violated, crossed illegally, 12 million times, that we know of, and it MUST STOP!
I suppose the thing that galls me so much about it is the fact that those illegals will play the race card in a heartbeat – and they claim to be so “put upon” when we confront them and declare their crossing the border without the proper paperwork a crime, which it most certainly is!
Thinking back to the demonstrations months ago, I remember I could only stare, wide-eyed, as my jaw dropped! There were no federal authorities there to round those people up and check their citizenship! None. There they were, in broad daylight, marching and protesting that we, legal US citizens, are angry that THEY broke into OUR country! It bothers me greatly that he US government extends the right granted to US citizens by the US Constitution to non-citizens. They ARE NOT CITIZENS and they ARE NOT ENTITLED TO ANY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!
The illegal aliens in the US today act as if we OWE them! We OWE them nothing! Nothing! They are upset that we conservatives want to treat them like criminals. They ARE criminals!

There is not much I can add to J.D.s post. I do, however, disagree with putting so many in prison. Who is going to pay for their upkeep? No, ship ‘em home, and close the border tighter than a virgin on her wedding night. Put up the fence, raised the gun turrets, and shoot any SOB trying to sneak back in. Harsh? Maybe. But I’d shoot anyone breaking into my home with the intent of taking it over, destroy my property, and steal my livelihood.

The Mexican family of an illegal immigrant shot after threatening a U.S. Border Patrol agent is suing the federal officer who pulled the trigger as well as the U.S. government.
The incident occurred in 2007 about 150 yards north of the Mexico-Arizona border between Bisbee and Douglas. Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Corbett apprehended a group of Mexican illegal aliens when one of them, Francisco Dominguez, became aggressive and attacked him with rocks. Fearing for his life, the federal officer shot Dominguez and killed him.
After meddling by the Mexican government, Corbett was charged with murder and the prosecution’s key witnesses were the illegal alien relatives—two brothers and a sister-in-law—that made the desert journey with the shot man. A Cochise County jury hung and prosecutors retried Corbett, but charges were dropped after the second jury hung.
This week Dominguez’s family in Mexico filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Tucson federal court claiming the border agent violated the illegal immigrant’s constitutional rights by using unlawful deadly force in the course of his duties as a U.S. government employee. Under the Federal Tort Claims Act, the lawsuit points out, the U.S. government is liable for a negligent or wrongful act of its employees.
The complaint further says that Corbett was very vocal about his “hatred of Mexicans” and that the U.S. Border Patrol should have known about the agent’s history of “ethnic hatred” before allowing him in the field. The agency’s negligent hiring practices essentially led to the illegal immigrant’s death, according to the complaint.
Violence along the border has escalated in the last few years as federal agents encounter heavily armed Mexican drug traffickers and human smugglers that attack them with weapons ranging from firearms to big rocks and Molotov cocktails—makeshift bombs made of a breakable container filled with flammable liquid. Prosecuting the federal officers who confront the danger in the course of guarding the nation’s borders seems rather bizarre.

The U.S. Government Employee violated an ILLEGAL immigrant’s constitutional rights?? WHAT CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS?!?!? When in the HELL will people, the courts included, realize that if you are in the country illegally, you should not HAVE any contitutional rights? Not only that, this POS started getting aggressive toward the patrol agent and the agent, in fear for his life and DOING HIS JOB, fired at him. And then, to add insult to injury, the patrol agent is prosecuted??
We’ve been seeing far too much of this lately. What kind of back-asswards country are we becoming when someone sworn to uphold the law is prosecuted for doing his job by trying to keep these scumbags out of our country? And then the scumbags and/or their families are afforded the same rights as those of a U.S. citizen??
Who in their right mind would want to become a border patrol agent with these scenarios hanging over them? Or is that the plan of the left? Hmmmmm…
It’s About Damned Time!!

On the verge of going bankrupt with an astounding $26.3 billion deficit, the nation’s most populous state is considering saving hundreds of millions of dollars annually by cutting monthly welfare payments to illegal immigrants.
The savings doesn’t even include the billions of dollars that California spends annually to educate, incarcerate and medically treat the 2.7 million illegal aliens (7% of the state’s population) who live in the state that has so generously offered them sanctuary for decades. It turns out that legislators are finally realizing that illegal immigrants are draining their precious Golden State.
That’s why California officials, extremely generous with tax dollars in the past, are trying to find a way to eliminate welfare payments to tens of thousands of illegal immigrants. The move, which has caused outrage among the state’s powerful open borders lobby, would save a much-needed $640 million a year.
Outrage among the open borders lobby? How about the outrage towards these ILLEGAL immigrants who are bankrupting the state, not to mention the rest of the country?? Do these yahoos not realize that we are in the midst of one of the most serious economic meltdowns EVER?? It’s bad enough that the current administration is gonna kill us with socialized healthcare, cap and tax, and whatever else they can think of to spend MY money…I should NOT have to pay for those who shouldn’t be here to begin with.
An example of who the state cuts the monthly checks to is an unemployed 43-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico who gets $650 a month for each of her four children and about $500 in federal food stamps and other vouchers.
WHISKY. TANGO. FOXTROT. Add it up my friends…that’s $2,600 per month PLUS $500 in vouchers. Remind me again why I get up every morning and go to work??? Oh yeah – I believe in WORKING for my keep, not sponging off others.
Its still chump change compared to what the state spends—between $4 billion and $6 billion annually—on schools, jails and hospitals for illegal immigrants. That doesn’t even include other local government costs such as police and fire, road maintenance and other public services.
The biggest chunk—$2.3 billion—goes to educating about 300,000 illegal immigrant children at public schools throughout the state. California expects to spend around $834 million to incarcerate nearly 20,000 illegal aliens in fiscal year 2009-2010 and well over $700 million to medically treat close to 800,000 illegal immigrants.
More than half the healthcare money will go to emergency services but a substantial portion will pay for nonemergency health services such as abortions, prenatal and postpartum care and even nursing homes.
Abortions?? Nursing homes?? Prenatal care?? Oh – you mean the care for those who are having babies so they can collect MORE of my money?? I’m absolutely stunned. Not that I wasn’t aware of this before, but seeing it all laid out is simply nauseating. What the hell is going on in this country when those of us who do the right thing, i.e. pay our bills, do NOT spend beyond our means, and generally take personal responsibility end up being penalized, while those who DO NOT BELONG HERE are sucking us dry??
I hope and pray that common sense will prevail, and the welfare being handed out to those ILLEGALS is stopped. Seriously folks…is there anywhere else one can go, not be a citizen, sit on your ass, and have the government pay you for that privilege?? Good grief – anyone with a lick of sense will see that this is absolutely preposterous.
I think my head has now officially exploded.

We were fairly sure it was premature to declare the death of the Immigration Bill, the last time it was defeated in the Senate. And sure enough, here it comes again. We have no choice but to man the barricades once again.
Isn’t there something very sad (and very telling) when the people of a country have to “force” their own government to respond to the wishes of their people? Isn’t it telling as to how far we have traveled down the road toward “totalitarian government”? Have we learned anything??? I doubt it!
Oh, and there is this: When we say “totalitarian” government these days we mean one of two distinct types of governance: Islamofacist or communist.

Since when is it logical to reward bad behavior? Since we, as a nation, have lost any sense of morality and the LAW! Yeah yeah….. I’m a “racist”! Why? Because I don’t believe people sneaking into my home, eating up my food, spending my money, and trashing the front yard is a positive.
