Shafted…..AGAIN!
Are we being bamboozled? Is it any wonder that people are thinking their vote doesn’t count? Do you know ANYONE who is a Mitt Romney supporter? I sure don’t! Yet…there he is…on the top of the heap! I’d really like to know if there are some serious irregularities going on. Are Democrats voting in the Republican caucuses and primaries? Because, to be perfectly honest, I don’t see any other way that Romney has won anything! No self respecting conservative would fall for the BS that “he’s the only on that can beat Obama”. No self respecting conservative would vote for the father of ‘RomneyCare’ the preceded ObamaCare! No self respecting Republican would vote for the guy who George Soros says is no different than Obama!

Fox News
Unfortunately, Jesus isn’t running, so we will have to work with what we have! But Romney? *shakes head* If he is foisted on us, just like John McCain was, I will vote for him, but it will be extremely difficult! It would be even MORE difficult to vote for Ron Paul, but I’d do that too, just to get that lying, scheming, phony out the White House!
We didn’t get to this point over night, and it won’t take just one election cycle to fix it! If we end up with a RINO, then we had best make sure we have a strong majority in BOTH houses of Congress!
Interview With Rick Santorum
My Dime’s Worth

A squeaker of an Iowa victory in hand, Mitt Romney headed Wednesday into the New Hampshire primary — in his own political backyard — insisting that staying power sets him apart from runners-up Rick Santorum and Ron Paul and the rest of the GOP presidential field. He shrugged off the promise of sharper criticism from his rivals.
“I’ve got a big target on me now,” Romney said, adding that doesn’t faze him. “I’ve got broad shoulders. I’m willing to handle it.”
The former Massachusetts governor was declared the winner of the leadoff presidential caucuses in the wee hours Wednesday by just eight votes, bringing down the curtain on an improbable first act in the campaign to pick a challenger to President Barack Obama in the fall.
Honestly, I didn’t expect the folks in Iowa to fall into lockstep with the elitists and pundits. This pretty much tells me that the media is going to pick our candidate again, whether we want it or not. I’m not going to bad mouth Romney, I’m just going to flat out state….he is NOT a conservative! And what we need right now is a STRONG conservative! When someone like John McCain endorses someone, you can pretty much bet, we are screwed, if Romney ends up as the nominee. A McCain endorsement ought to be the death knell of Romney’s campaign!

“[It is the] destruction of civilization.” –on the end of apartheid in South Africa
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Yet over 26,000 people voted for him? *shakes head*
What surprises me is that Rick Perry didn’t do better. But so far, he’s not dropping out, just reassessing….whatever THAT means. Perhaps he needs a much better staff?
I think Michelle Bachmann dropping out is probably a wise choice. She had lost all momentum for a variety of reasons. Her message was good, but perhaps it was the delivery? Not to mention all the attacking of the other candidates, and a bit of arrogance I was detecting, wasn’t coming across in a good way.
You’d think with the poor showing, Jon Huntsman would follow Michelle’s lead, and drop out. Apparently, he thinks quite highly of himself, even though a large number of voters don’t.
And while I’m not a huge Newt fan, I kind of happy he’s not dropping out. Why? Well, if by the slimmest of chances, he becomes the nominee, he would wipe the floor with Obama in a debate, using FACTS, not feelings. I just don’t see Romney being able to achieve a floor mopping.
In the grand scheme of things, the Iowa caucus doesn’t mean a whole lot. Mike Huckabee won last time around, and I don’t remember his name being on the ballot in November of 2008.
Although, he would have been a damn sight better than the one they stuck us with.
Hawkeye Cauk-eye Tomorrow
While driving from point A to point B today, we listened to Fox Talk on Sirius. The Mr doesn’t much care for my choice of music, and I got a wee bit burnt out on the bluegrass channel during yesterday’s drive. My favorites are John Gibson, cuz he doesn’t put up with much, but will allow the various nutbars dig their own holes….quite entertaining….and Spencer Hughes.
Luckily, it was quite a short drive, so didn’t have to listen for very long…about 3 hours, so all we heard was Gibson, and a smidge of Tom Sullivan‘s show, with a substitute. Naturally, the entire time, the topic of conversation was the caucus in Iowa. UGH! I don’t know about you, but I’ll be REAL happy when it’s over. Sheesh!
After listening to some of the callers, I honestly understand why the Democrats believe they’ve got a good shot at pulling off this election…even without cheating, which they are wont to do on a regular basis. Good grief! Can we be anymore divided? This one won’t vote in the general is Ron Paul isn’t the nominee…that one insists that Rick Perry is the only one who can win…the other has decided not to vote, or write in his first choice. Dammit people, we sound like flippin’ libtards! Get a grip on reality and stop with the whining! Jeeeeez!
No, I don’t want Ron Paul. The man’s cheese done slid off his cracker! No, I’m not a big Mitt Romney fan! I find him a wee bit too slick. Michelle Bachmann’s voice seriously is grating my nerves. There are flaws in EVERY SINGLE CANDIDATE! Not a one of ‘em is the ‘perfect one’, and why so many spout that their chosen candidate is THE ONE is totally beyond me. I have seen 3rd graders more mature than some of the potential voters.
I don’t give a flip who wins this caucus tomorrow! I will NOT be deciding who I’m going to vote for in the Tennessee primary based on what a couple of cold states, Iowa and New Hampshire, decide. I’m going to base my decision on who I feel most reflects my values. I would hope you will do the same. However, when it comes to the general election in November, I will be voting AGAINST Barack Hussein Obama, and FOR the Republican nominee, even if I have to hold my nose, and close my eyes. We can NOT let that man/child continue his path of destruction.
The saddest thing is that the Republican Party is behaving like the Democrats, and is destroying itself from the inside. Both parties are losing the sanest of the bunch, and following paths of self destruction. The Republicans obviously didn’t get the message when we sent “Tea Party candidates” to Washington to replace those who had become so entrenched in the Beltway, they had forgotten who their bosses REALLY are…and it ain’t the Republican OR Democrat Party! It’s my wish that we will band together, in a united front, kick the worst out of D.C. and move on from there, removing more each election, until we have our country, and our Constitution back.
We are not going to restore the Republic in just one or two election cycles. This will be a long process, and I truly hope that those who truly love this country and do not want her downward spiral to continue, will understand whether or not their candidate is the nominee, we MUST win this war, one battle at a time.
Disappointment Is Too Mild A Word!
I love Marsha Blackburn. She is a delightful lady and a solidly conservative member of Congress.
And I am pledging right now that I will do everything in my power to defeat her in her 2012 re-election bid.
I wonder if the left feels that way about Debbie Wasserman Schultz?
Both Marsha Blackburn and Debbie Wasserman Schults, the head of the Democratic National Committee and a Congresswoman from Florida, are cosponsors of the Stop Online Piracy Act.
The Act intends to stop online piracy. The way the Act goes about doing this is, in large part, allowing Eric Holder to take control of the internet and shut down websites he does not like. It is a totalitarian response from a bipartisan coalition of Congresscritters most of whom admit they have no freaking idea how the internet even works. Don’t believe me?
Ok, I’d have to say disgust is a much better word, and even that doesn’t quite cover it! The idea that Marsha Blackburn would collaborate on ANYTHING with that raving lunatic is beyond rational. The fact that this bill would give the worst Attorney General in our history the power to shut down anything he deemed necessary, or just doesn’t like, is even MORE unbelievable.
Marsha, you know I think quite highly of you, or at least I did. However, this is just beyond reason. You have always been as close to my ideal conservative as a person can get, but this is just mind blowing! You have led the way in many areas to try to retain our liberties, yet you would sign your name to co-sponsor a bill like this? Have you become so entrenched in Washington politics that you have forgotten all about us? With an alternative like the OPEN Act, I would think you would re-consider signing your name to such a violation. Giving such a power to anyone even remotely related to the Obama administration should have set off warning bells in your head.
Stopping online piracy is a good thing. Giving Holder the power to shut down people who tend to criticize this administration, is flat out censorship. Does the name Joseph Goebbels ring a bell? Propaganda is a real useful tool, and I think you’ve been sucked into the Dems version.
Anyway Possible… Obama MUST Go!
On private call, Republicans say attacking Obama personally is too dangerous: Yahoo News exclusive
Republicans on a private Republican National Committee conference call with allies warned Tuesday that party surrogates should refrain from personal attacks against President Barack Obama, because such a strategy is too hazardous for the GOP.
First question: If this was a PRIVATE call, how the hell did that yahoos at Yahoo get the information? Doesn’t private mean that it’s not for public consumption?
“We’re hesitant to jump on board with heavy attacks” personally against President Obama, Nicholas Thompson, the vice president of Tarrance Group, a Republican polling firm, said on the call. “There’s a lot of people who feel sorry for him.”
Really? Feel sorry for him? They can’t be serious! He has done more damage to this country in 3 years, than any previous occupant of the White House….COMBINED! Who feels sorry for him, and just why?
Recent polling data indicates that while the president still suffers significantly low job approval ratings, voters still give “high approval” to Obama personally, Thompson said.
I am having a real problem here. He, PERSONALLY, has gone around the world, apologizing for America, to our natural enemies. Those would be the ones who want to kill us, by the way. He has, PERSONALLY, circumvented Congress, to implement his dangerous policies. He and the spouse have, PERSONALLY, spent millions of taxpayer dollars on their lavish trips around the world. Obama is PERSONALLY responsible for the financial disaster we are in right now! The list is long! So, PERSONALLY, I don’t like him one single bit, as a person or a president!
Voters “don’t think he’s an evil man who’s out to change the United States” for the worse–even though many of the same survey respondents agree that his policies have harmed the country, Thompson said. The upshot, Thompson stressed, is that Republicans should “exercise some caution” when talking about the president personally.
Uh…actually, YES, WE DO! You GOP hacks really need to get outside the Beltway now and then. You might be surprised at how much you would learn from WE, The People!
On the call–which Yahoo News was invited to attend because of a mistake by someone on the staff of the Republican National Committee–Ari Fleischer, the former press secretary for George W. Bush, encouraged Republicans to turn around the Democratic attacks lobbed at the GOP presidential candidates (Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich, for starters) for “flip-flopping.”
Well, that answers that question, doesn’t it. There is some staffer who is either incompetent, or…as Freud claims, ‘there are no such things as accidents’…intentionally included Yahoo News.
“I don’t like playing defense,” Fleischer said. He suggested the listeners to Tuesday’s call label the president as a flip-flopper on the following issues: opposing tax increases for those making under $250,000; opposing the Bush tax cuts; opposing raising the debt limit; and opposing a health care mandate.
“When it comes to flip flopping, Barack Obama is the king of flip flopping,” Fleischer said. “You can offer that to anybody,” he suggested.
D’Bama has kept one campaign promise…. to “fundamentally transform” the country. He’s done that alright, to the detriment of us all! Listen up GOP! We don’t really give a damn how we get him out of office, as long as he is GONE on 20 January 2013!!!

Tennessee Deserves Better
Sen Lamar Alexander Demands NEW SALES TAX!!!
Tennessee conservatives who have long despised Republican Senator Lamar Alexander due to his liberal record are again bitterly angry about his latest antic: he will be introducing legislation requiring a nationwide sales tax!
Personally, I don’t “despise” Alexander. I just don’t trust him! How can a conservative trust a man who only scores 66%? A true conservative would score at least 90% or higher.
In essence Senator Alexander proposes to tax ALL online purchases.
I guess he’s not aware that Tennessee has a fairly high unemployment rate, and people just don’t have a whole lot of extra money for even MORE taxes.
Actions such as these have caused conservatives within his own party to refer to him as “Large-Government-Lamar”. This particular shenanigan seems to have been in cahoots with Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam who in recent weeks has also openly advocated for a national tax scheme. Political experts have noted that Alexander’s drafting legislation for brand new taxes in addition to previous discontent from the rank-and-file of the Republican Party may threaten the Senator’s reelection bid if a viable primary challenger emerges; although there is speculation that Governor Haslam plans to run for the seat held by Senator Lamar Alexander upon his retirement.
Well, let’s face it, Haslam isn’t a conservative either. Honestly, I did hold my nose when I voted for him in the general, but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and he’s a rather nice guy, but nice guys don’t really make strong conservative leaders. I hope we can find someone to challenge both Haslam and Alexander. I have one particular person in mind for Senate, but I doubt he’ll go for it. He’s a TRUE conservative. I’m thinking perhaps Marsha Blackburn would make a pretty good governor.
Either way, Tennessee needs strong conservative leadership to represent us in D.C. Lamar Alexander does not fit that bill!

Piss Off, GOP Elites!
Some in Senate GOP Call DeMint “Undertaker” not “Kingmaker”
Boy are some Senate Republicans unhappy with Jim DeMint. They had a good night by any measure, picking up six seats from Democrats, but it is clear a number are holding the South Carolina senator personally responsible for keeping those numbers from rising even higher, possibly even from taking control of the chamber.
One could forgive House Democrats for beating each other up after last night’s thumping (or, as Obama called it, “a shellacking”). Senate Democrats, as well, even though they did retain the majority and their leader. But Senate Republicans?
DeMint set out in 2008 to get “principled conservatives” elected – many who were not the chosen candidates of the establishment. At times, that even seemed to be the goal, as he happily bucked his leadership, saying raucous primaries were good for the party. DeMint told his growing cadre of supporters he wanted to harness the power of the Tea Party, and he started endorsing conservatives, 11 in all, in the 2010 race (the list is here). Many won their primaries, leading some to call DeMint a “king maker.”
But not everyone in his party agrees. “He should be called the undertaker, not the kingmaker,” said one senior Senate GOP aide on Wednesday, who added, “You could call it a big night for the Club for Growth, but not for Jim DeMint.”
I’m getting the impression that the establishment GOP aren’t happy? Well, too freakin’ bad! WE, The People worked damn hard to get more of those with an “R” behind their names into office, and should be damn happy THEY still have a job. Next time around, they might not if they don’t get their heads out of their collective hinders!
Yeah, there were some losses that should not have been. Reid for example, due to the push by the casino “bosses” (Harrah’s has lost our business, btw). O’Donnell didn’t have a united state party behind her, which was WRONG of them. She was obviously better versed in the Constitution than her opponent! And Ken Buck? Well, to be honest, I didn’t follow a lot about him, so I can’t say what the heck happened there. Perhaps someone who is more familiar can clue me in?
IF, the GOP had listened when we told them (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009) they were moving away from their principles, and joined with US, then perhaps at least 2 of those candidates would have come out victorious. The smears of the left have been vicious, there’s no denying it! And many such smears worked. But, I’m thinking there are way too many voters who don’t bother to investigate the candidates as thoroughly as they should, which makes for ignorant voters, and the wrong candidates being elected.
As for the criticism of Jim DeMint? Piss off! Y’all should be damn happy to have a man with a BACKBONE standing up for the principles YOU should be upholding. The principles we DEMAND you return to. Screw that big tent you tried to push on conservatives. It didn’t work, and y’all either play by OUR rules now, or find yourselves other means of employment!
-8 Days & Counting
In 8 days, people will begin going to the polls to vote. At least that’s how I pray it will go. As much as I would love to believe that folks are basically honest, there is a certain segment of our population who has proven time and time again, there is no such thing as honor in their vocabulary.
Judson points out a few examples in his WND piece today:
Remember 2000: Al Gore’s amateurish attempt to steal the Florida election? Do you remember the “hanging chads” and the circus that went on until the United States Supreme Court finally put an end to it?
How about 2004? Dino Rossi was declared the winner of the Washington governor’s race by the initial vote count and an automated recount. Only on a “hand count” did enough votes for Christine Gregorie suddenly appear to make her the governor.
How about the 2008 election for Minnesota Senate seat? Norm Coleman won that race by a tiny amount. Al Franken’s lawyers descended upon the election commission demanding that disqualified ballots for Franken be included and disqualified ballots for Coleman not be. Coleman went from a lead of several hundred to trailing Franken by several hundred. Mysterious absentee ballots appeared, which amazingly went for Franken in overwhelming numbers.
In 2008, Black Panthers stood at a polling place with nightsticks, threatening voters. The Obama regime ordered the Department of Justice to seek to have a default judgment against the Black Panthers set aside and the case dismissed. Now, in Texas, citizens have been doing a remarkable job of ferreting out voter fraud and insisting that the voting rolls be accurate. The Obama Department of Justice is now investigating this!
And these are just the best known occurrences. There are many more! While we on the right believe in honor, the truth is, there are many on the left who will do anything, and I mean ANYTHING to make sure their slave masters keep their power, including lie, cheat and steal. If I’m going to be one hundred percent honest, I will have to say that I wouldn’t doubt murder could, and possibly has, come into play. But that’s just a gut feeling, based on no fact. I say that because I’ve seen the violence of the left, when someone disagrees with them, and it’s quite ugly. Evil describes it pretty well.
How do we counter what is turning into an ugly election cycle? The truth. Open, honest, reality based truth. And vigilance! If we allow the left to steal what should be an overwhelming landslide, then we may never have open elections again. I can only pray that every single right minded individual takes the time to make use of their right, and duty, to vote. Do not let the Prince of Lies gain a stronger foothold in this nation!
SGS Day 2 – Morning
It was SOOOOO nice to be able to sleep till 7. Heh. Shame we were up till about 1am.
Julia had this brilliant idea that those of us that attended the Sweet Potato Queen shindig last March should all dress up in our outrageous garb today. Well, we thought it was just going to be for the break out session after lunch, but NOOOOOO…. Mzzzzzzzzzz Julia decides we should make a splash all day. sigh… Well, ok, we’re game. Hey…if you can’t laugh at yourself, what’s the point? So, there we were….wandering around the hotel, all decked out. It got to be like we had our own paparazzi! Hilarious!
I never got a picture of all of us together, but as soon as I find one, I will definitely post it! But, here is Chris, Julia and me.
I hate boas. Heh. I’m still blowing feathers outta my snout.
This morning we did the breakout session with Fingers Malloy, hoping to learn how to do podcasts. Hmm…. Yes, I paid attention, and even took notes, but I’m not real sure if I can figure it out. Let’s put it this way….don’t look for any podcasts coming from me any time soon.
After lunch, Chris and I kept waiting for the Political Humor thingy, with Jimmie Bise, Fingers Malloy, and Steven Crowder, to start, and for the rest of the people to show up. Well, turns out we were in the wrong flippin’ room. sigh… Typical for us. Luckily, we found the right room, and hadn’t missed too much.
Ya know what was so strange? While we were sitting there, this guy asked if he could take our pics….sure no problem. Well, turned out he was taking pictures of my bunny slippers. Uh…….ok…….
Poor Chris wasn’t feeling too swuft, so she came back to the room because I think she knew we were all going to be inundated by the picture taking. Took the rest of us a good 15 minutes to get out the door. Smart woman!
Not sure if that was an expression of relaxation from getting her shoulders massaged, or if she’s pissed. LOL Can’t remember her name.
After losing all the feathers, tutu, tiara, and bunny slippers, S.E. Cupp was still available to sign her book. So….huneeeee? I got ya somthin’!
This evening, there will be something or other going on, with all the folks getting together, but for right now, it’s time to relax! Hope Chris is feeling up to it!
