Another day, another no-show for the Obamacare reconciliation bill. House Democrats were quick to shift blame to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) with Rep. Robert Andrews telling The Hill that the delay “has been much more technical than substantive. … It’s not like what tax has to go or what spending has to go.” Which is an interesting claim, since Politico reported that AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka was summoned to the White House yesterday afternoon “to discuss a higher-than-expected excise tax on some health care plans.” In fact, Politico added: “A labor source said Trumka’s meeting would focus on the entire bill, not just the excise tax question.” Sounds like more than just technical details are still in flux.

Defining a marriage councilor? All well and good. I go to my pastor, personally, if I have issues that need addressing, as do a great number of folks I know. I’m wondering if my pastor, and many others, will be prohibited from acting as councilors to their congregations under these new ‘rules’? When they say ‘legally authorized’, I’ve no doubt there will be consequences for any pastor, priest, etc., acting as a councilor.

We Said NO!
House may try to pass Senate health-care bill without voting on it
After laying the groundwork for a decisive vote this week on the Senate’s health-care bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Monday that she might attempt to pass the measure without having members vote on it.
Instead, Pelosi (D-Calif.) would rely on a procedural sleight of hand: The House would vote on a more popular package of fixes to the Senate bill; under the House rule for that vote, passage would signify that lawmakers “deem” the health-care bill to be passed.
The tactic — known as a “self-executing rule” or a “deem and pass” — has been commonly used, although never to pass legislation as momentous as the $875 billion health-care bill. It is one of three options that Pelosi said she is considering for a late-week House vote, but she added that she prefers it because it would politically protect lawmakers who are reluctant to publicly support the measure.
“It’s more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know,” the speaker said in a roundtable discussion with bloggers Monday. “But I like it,” she said, “because people don’t have to vote on the Senate bill.”
I wonder which bloggers she was bumping her gums to/with? I can pretty much bet it wasn’t Michelle Malkin, Gateway Pundit, anyone from Pajamas Media. I can pretty much guarantee they didn’t invite Texas Fred. (Why does the mental image of Fred and the Ninny, together in the same room, make me laugh so hard? Hmm… Heh!)
First thing, go read that “self executing rule“. Seriously. GO READ IT! I’ll wait.

Contemporary Use. Self-executing rules are still employed on matters involving House-Senate relations. They have also been used in recent years to enact significant substantive and sometimes controversial propositions.
Now I know just how so many of our freedoms have been eroded. Yes, perhaps I have been oblivious, not noticing the use of such an under handed tactic. Hey! I’m human. The examples provided in this .pdf, are rather small, compared to how they want to use it this time around. Banning smoking on domestic flights less than 2 hours long, while prohibiting personal choice, is NOT the same thing as taking over 1/6 of the American economy!
“When we have a bill, then we will let you know about the votes. But when we bring the bill to the floor, we will have the votes,” she told reporters.
Pelosi said Monday that House Democrats have yet to decide how to approach the vote. But she added that any strategy involving a separate vote on the Senate bill “isn’t too popular,” and aides said the leadership is likely to bow to the wishes of its rank and file.
Here’s a novel concept, you old windbag! Scrap that piece of crap at least 53% of the American people oppose! Those findings include 23% who Strongly Favor the plan and 46% who Strongly Oppose it.
And……Obama flaps his gums:
“I don’t know about the politics, but I know what’s the right thing to do,” he said, nearly shouting as the crowd cheered. “And so I’m calling on Congress to pass these reforms — and I’m going to sign them into law. I want some courage. I want us to do the right thing.”
Bud the ONLY thing you know about is campaigning! You don’t know JACK about true leadership! While you may have won the election, you have lost the nation, as a whole. Oh sure, there are still some who buy into all that phony Hope-n-Change, but a vast majority have woken up from our stupor, and are now fighting for our very survival, as FREE Americans!
Asked whether he was reconsidering his position, Kucinich demurred. But Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) said Kucinich is coming under intense pressure from Ohioans who want Congress to act, and from his colleagues in Washington.
“All of us — the governor, the congressional delegation, the president — are making clear to Dennis that we won’t have another chance for a decade if this doesn’t happen,” Brown said.
Do you get the impression that the Dems know they are going to lose the majority this year? If this happen, and I truly pray it does, it will take YEARS to attempt to undo the damage they have wrought on this country. Now is as good time as any to restore the U.S. Constitution to it’s rightful place….the LAW of the Land!
Gum Bumping
So, Harman thinks she needs to teach a class to her fellow spineless Democrats, when it comes to “talking tough”. She’s forgotten, however, talk is cheap. Well, except when it comes to Congress. Here’s a novel concept: How about instead of learning how to ’sound’ tough, when it comes to America’s national security, try actually BEING tough to protect Americans from the onslaught of the illegals, the Muslims, and any home growns? Wouldn’t that be more productive? Hmmmm….?
Grass Roots? How ‘Bout Soros Roots!
If you have a few minutes, check out these ‘grass roots’ folks website. Snoop through the forums, and see what they are saying. Things like:
“We have allowed these people to have the stage alone for far too long. I know for a fact that if we put together counter events that Keith Olbermann, and Rachel Maddow, would promote them.
Progressives made a HUGE mistake allowing these people to get their nonsense over the airwaves unchallenged. We should have been at every single town meeting shouting these people down. They were loud and effective and caused the Democrats to retreat on health care.”
And:
“I don’t understand why his approval ratings are so low. People need to give him a break and leave Obama alone. He is trying to rebuild the country that the fascist, racist republican war criminals destroyed. Not only that but he is also trying to rebuild and save the world. I think he is one of the greatest presidents ever. Does anyone else agree? I know I’ll be voting for him in 2012!”

If you are on Facebook, you often notice groups to join, or some such nonsense. You can give a ‘thumbs up” to the group or whatever. This morning, I noticed one of those little domaflitchies, and noticed several of my ‘friends’ had done just that. Which group? Why, the Coffee Party.
Now, what I am thinking, or at least hoping, is that those of my ‘friends’ who gave this group a ‘thumbs up’, really don’t know what this group is, or what it stands for.

Now, where have I heard that word, obstruct, recently. Let me think….. Oh yeah…. Here. Here. Here. Here. And so many more examples. The internet is a wonderful tool. Something a great many should put to good use BEFORE using a ‘thumbs up’ feature. The “news room‘ is quite telling as well. MSNBC? CNN? Progressive Blend? Uh huh.
Some very interesting information comes out of the internet. For example, you can find out more about the ‘founder’ of the Coffee Party, just by looking for it. Amazing! Here are a few items I came across, in just a matter of minutes.
Bitter cup of Coffee Party: Digging up the AstroTurf on Annabel Park and the Obama Administration, from Left Coast Rebel. “In truth, Annabel is a longtime political wonk with a large number of leftist political connections.” How about from Riehl World? Annabel Park: From Netroots Nation To Coffee Parties? And gracious sakes, Instapundit is always a good source of information, KINDA DIFFERENT FROM THE “TEA PARTY” COVERAGE.
I could go on. but I have things to do. Please, for future reference, check out all groups before you join, or thumbs up, or whatever. It might save you a great deal of embarrassment. ESPECIALLY if you are of the conservative mind bent.

Obama is jetting around the country holding pep rallies to try to gin up support for the “Bill from Hell” — Socialized Medicine. You should know these rallies include ONLY Obama supporters and ObamaCare supporters. The wild enthusiasm is staged for your benefit to, hopefully, give you the impression that ObamaCare is supported by the majority of Americans. The truth is – it is NOT.
Truth? What’s Nicholson’s famous line from “A Few Good Men”? I honestly believe if Obama would acquaint himself with the truth, his presidency wouldn’t be on such a precipice.
These rallies are all propaganda. It’s “The BIG LIE” told over and over again just as the Nazis in Germany did to convince the people of an entire country they truly desired the socialism of the Nazi Party. I must tell you Joseph Goebbels, the Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945, would be proud of the Democratic Party in America today. The Obama Regime has taken a page from the leftist Nazis of the last century on how to brainwash an entire nation into believing a lie. A lie that, once accepted, will spell the absolute doom of America.
The similarities are getting more than just a bit creepy.
The Democratic Party, by itself, simply does not give a damn! They are interested in two things and two things only — and that is to maintain their hold on the government of the US and to ensure their reelection. They simply have no sympathy for what the American people truly want. Plus, THEY DON’T CARE WHAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT! All that counts is what they, the Democrats, want.
No, they’ve told us time and time, it doesn’t matter what we say. They put their fingers in their ears, la la la la, and go on about their merry way, spending, coming up with ever more oppressive plans for our children’s future, circumventing the U.S. Constitution at every turn.
Those of us on the right vowing to throw the Socialists and Marxists, masquerading as Democrats, out of the Congress this November had better watch our backs. The dems are quietly lining up the resistance to our movement and between now and November the right will come under attack, intensifying each day as the election draws nearer and nearer.
Yes, it’s already started. The smear campaigns. The distortions. The strong arm tactics. The blatant bribes. I’m starting to wonder if, perhaps, we will need armed guards on our way to the polls come November?
They are quietly conspiring with the less literate democrat voters and those who, for generations, have depended on the government welfare dole for their existence. Their intention is to flood the polls in November of 2010 to offset and overwhelm the anti-ObamaCare. These “wards of the federal government” will be flooding the polling places, everywhere in America, to dilute the opposition to ObamaCare and defeat the efforts to save the constitutional republic we know as America. Their intent is to create, once and for all, a Socialist/Communist America. And they may very well succeed!
The unions are walking lock step to promote their King’s agenda. It doesn’t matter if it’s wrong for the citizen’s of the country. It doesn’t matter if it will totally destroy the fabric. They are the moths in the cloth of public education. The Louisville Slugger in the work place. They will present one side, and one side only to their ‘huddled masses’, never allowing the truth to be told, with the aid of the lame stream media, pushing ignorance.
I must admit to weariness and fatigue and frustration, as the realization sets in that the masses of ObamaCare advocates, like lemmings, have chosen to follow their own Pied Piper — this time straight over a cliff and into a Marxist/Communist hell-like oblivion.
Like J.D., I too am weary. But not worn down. Not one of us can ever let up OUR relentless fight to save, and return, to a Constitutional Republic. Younger people are not aware this nation was something much different that it is now. Yes, it is my generation’s fault this was allowed, but not it seems it’s my generation that must take up the ‘arms’ to save them from themselves. I pray that many more will join us in our struggle.

Specter: Democrats getting ‘angry,’ will pass healthcare bill
Democrats in Congress are getting “angry” enough to push through healthcare reform, Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) said today.
Speaking to reporters after President Barack Obama’s healthcare event outside Philadelphia on Monday, Specter said frustration over Republican “obstruction” is making his caucus determined to move ahead.
Ya know what? I don’t care if the Democrats are getting angry. They can get angry all they want. What I DO care about is the fact they are NOT representing the interests of their constituents. 20% strongly favor this crap. TWENTY PERCENT! The AMERICAN people do not want these morons in D.C., who can’t even control their own lives, control ours. IT’S NOT IN THEIR JOB DESCRIPTION!
“I think there’s a lot more determination in the Congress now to get it passed,” he said, according to a pool report. “I really think there’s sort of reaction on the Democratic side of getting a little angry over the duration and intensity of obstruction and a lot more determination to see it through.”
In this case, the Democrat definition of “obstruction” is the Republicans remember who pays their salaries. Uh…Arlen…. ol’ buddy, ol’ pal??? That would be WE, THE PEOPLE!
“The president’s providing for more fiery leadership now,” Specter said.
“That’s the most fiery I’ve seen him since the early campaign,” he added. “When I was listening to him, I wished that he had given that in the State of the Union. If it’s the State of the Union he would have reached a lot more people.”
Oh, I’m quite sure Obama is all fired up. There are still a few folks who believe his lies, but the number is getting smaller and smaller.
The Color Of Babies
CNN Blog Attacks Black Pro-Lifers, Continues Liberal Trend
While anti-choice activists may condemn the location of family planning clinics, such as Planned Parenthood, in these communities, this condemnation is itself further evidence of their cynicism – and of their indifference to the actual health care needs of low-income women (a disproportionate number of whom are African-American). The majority of health care services provided by Planned Parenthood, for instance, are non-abortion related and include cancer screening, STD testing, and other preventive health services. We may agree to disagree about the morality of abortion but I do hope there is no legitimate disagreement about the need for low-income women to have access to these health resources.
There is yet another element of this campaign that I find particularly unsettling. Implicit in this strategy is the assumption that the womb of an African-American woman is somehow “community property” – and that our family planning and reproductive decisions cannot properly be based upon individual choices and circumstances but must instead take into account the need to “propagate the race.” It seems as if anti-choice strategists are suggesting that African-American women need to be saved from themselves and their own freely made choices – or worse yet, that the African-American community needs to be saved from its women. Forgive me, but the time for that sort of racial paternalism is long since past.
There are real issues of concern affecting African-Americans today – inadequate access to health care, disproportionate incarceration rates, a substandard public education system (which is the only option for many of its children), and numerous others. Cynical attempts to exploit those problems so as to gain advantage in a contentious debate are no substitute for the real attention our community deserves.
You can go read the entire thing, but I wanted to point out the absurdity, that hits me. This isn’t about the color of a baby’s skin. This is about the BABY! Does this woman really believe that Planned Parenthood is such a noble organization? Seriously? When you put such abortion mills in a community, that should speak volumes. But I guess the left, no matter the color, doesn’t seem to understand this.
No one is suggesting that “African-American women need to be saved from themselves”. (There’s that hyphen again.) I, personally, would suggest that ALL American women ‘need to saved’ from the evil that has permeated our society. Convincing a woman that her child is nothing more than an inconvenience, or a mass of tissue, or a tumor, isn’t evil? If this woman wants to do something for her community, then perhaps she should take a step back, and look at the REAL problems facing it, and every other community. This is beyond a color issue. This is a society issue. The “Great Society” gimme mind set. The “I don’t have to work hard to achieve success, cuz YOU OWE ME!” attitude. The “It’s ok if I act like a slut, and get pregnant every other month cuz someone will “fix it”!” mentality.
To quote The Socialist Appeal: We also stand for the right of a woman to dispose of her body as she sees fit. Well, if SHE wants to abort herself, that’s her prerogative I suppose. But this isn’t just about HER, this is about someone else’s life. The life of a child. A separate entity. It’s not her’s to destroy, but to nurture.
Perhaps this is the lefist/progressive/socialist/communist agenda, to ‘kill God”? God CREATED life. Destroy life, destroy God. Not acceptable!

Tea partiers now have a new, simple guide for when they have questions about how their lawmakers voted on controversial measures such as the TARP bill, auto bailout, cap and trade, food regulations and health-care reform bill.
A new congressional scorecard details votes by House members on key measures, many of which have been cited by the tea-party movement as evidence of growing federal government control and excessive spending.
The scorecard, created by Army Reserve veteran Dave Kittley using information from Govtrack.us, also features a red label next to each member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, or CPC, the largest caucus within the Democratic caucus in Congress.
I, for one, appreciate all the work that must have gone into pulling this chart together. Puts thing is a much clearer perspective, IMHO.
CPC was set up in 1991 by then-Rep. Bernie Sanders, in conjunction with Democratic Socialists of America and the far left Institute for Policy Studies. Its statement of purpose reads:
“The Progressive Caucus is organized around the principles of social and economic justice, a non-discriminatory society and national priorities which represent the interests of all people, not just the wealthy and the powerful.
Our purpose is to present thoughtful, practical solutions to the economic and social problems facing America. Our people-based agenda extends from job creation to job training, to economic conversion, to single payer healthcare reform, to adequate funding for the AIDS crisis, to environmental reform, and to women’s rights. …”
The CPC promotes a strong “progressive agenda,” what it calls “The Progressive Promise – Fairness for All.”
So, what we have here is a “congress” inside the Congress, pushing socialist agendas? Note that “in conjunction with Democratic Socialists of America” part. Want a REAL “education, check out their ‘youth’ newsletter, THE RED LETTER. And these are the people PUSHING the agenda? Anyone else want to tell me there is no socialist take over going on??? Lock and load!

Obama 9th Circuit Nominee: Constitution Must Adapt to Changes in the World
Even his critics describe him as “brilliant,” but President Obama’s newly minted judicial nominee — law professor Goodwin Liu — will not have an easy time getting to the 9th Circuit bench.
Not have an easy time? Is there an assumption he WILL make it to the bench?
At age 39, Liu has compiled an impressive resume: Rhodes Scholar, Supreme Court clerk, top grades at both Stanford University and Yale Law School and now law professor University of California, Berkeley.
I don’t care if he there are people who think this guy is the ’second coming’ of Earl Warren!
Liu has also aligned himself with progressive legal groups, including the American Constitution Society, where he is chairman of the board of directors. That’s prompting opponents to argue that Liu is “too far outside the mainstream” to take a seat on a court just one step below the Supreme Court of the United States.
If you are not familiar with the American Constitution Society, you should REALLY do some investigating, especially the “Constitutional Interpretation and Change” page. Scroll down for some real interesting reading. 
“He believes the Constitution is something judges can manipulate to have it say what they think culture or evolving standards of decency requires of it in a given day,” said the Senate Judiciary Committee’s top Republican Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
He “believes” what he’s been force fed by his fellow progressives, aka SOCIALISTS, prominent in all areas of education these days. He believes WRONG!
Ed Whelan, a one-time clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia and now president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, echoed those concerns.
“Liu believes that judges have the authority to impose their views … using clever verbal camouflage to disguise what they’re doing.”
Unfortunately, judges have been going this route for WAY too long, and have handed up the mess we find ourselves in now. Judges have stripped away societal norms, to be replaced with the destruction of the family, life, and morality.

Well, that’s real nice. There are a WHOLE lot of successful people who are in this country who parents, or grandparents came here speaking little, or no English at all. I wouldn’t want the majority of them sitting on the bench either.
