Tennessee Win For Santorum

Santorum wins Tennessee

Rick Santorum won Tennessee’s Republican presidential primary on Tuesday, giving the former Pennsylvania senator a key victory in the South.

With 12 percent of precincts reporting, Santorum had 41 percent to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s 28 percent.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who won his home state of Georgia on Tuesday, was in third place with 20 percent in Tennessee, despite campaigning heavily in the state. U.S. Rep. Ron Paul had 8 percent.

I do have to admit, this does make me happy.  Of course, I would have been happy if Newt had won the state as well.  But, since he didn’t, but did win Georgia, this whole thing is getting more interesting.  Santorum also won Oklahoma, which is a good thing.   Unfortunately, it seems that Mittens won in Vermont, Virginia and Massachusetts.  Right now, it looks like Santorum is in the lead in Ohio, but they’re saying it’s too close to call with Rick at 38% and Mitt with 36% (9:14pm).

Now, my question….since Ron Paul is barely making a showing in most states, will he do us all a HUGE favor, and drop out?  When it comes to fiscal issues, he’s a whiz.  It’s when he starts talking about foreign policy….Katie bar the door…the man’s cheese done slid off the cracker!  AND, if he does drop out, will he please tell his supporters to stop acting like horse’s patoots, and join the rest of us in working to get Barack Hussein Obama OUT of the White House?  I mean, after all, this IS what we need to do to save our country!

Super Tuesday

Silly name for a day to vote, since not all states are voting, so it’s really not so ‘super’, IMHO.  We have 50 states, and only ten are involved.  Doesn’t seem to ‘super’.  Now, if it were at least half or more, then…maybe.  It’s always been my opinion that these primaries being scattered all over the calender, some so late in the year, like Wisconsin, it’s doesn’t even really count.  :?   At least that’s how it felt to me when I lived there, and lots of people up there feel the same way.  So, anyway, if you live in……

Georgia
Idaho
Massachusetts
North Dakota
Ohio
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Vermont
Virginia
Alaska (2 week long caucuses? Seriously?)

…..get up off your hind end and go vote! I voted early cuz I knew I wouldn’t be home today to join in the festivities, but I will be watching the turn out in my state, so you better go and make your voice heard! Honestly, whoever ends up as the nominee in the long run HAS to be better than what we have now…a bunch of freakin’ criminals in charge of what was once the strongest and greatest country in the world.

I just pray that whoever does end up on the ticket will choose a running mate that isn’t a complete moron. We’ve seen moron, and it’s not pretty!  And don’t forget to take your I.D. fer the love of pete!  Whether they ask for it or not, show it to them, make sure they see it, and KNOW you aren’t one of the fraudsters!

I Am A Sexist!

All 4 GOP Candidates OK With Women in Combat

What do the Republican presidential hopefuls think about women moving closer to the front lines of combat, the four men were asked at Wednesday’s CNN-hosted debate in Arizona.

All indicated varying degrees of support.

“I would look to the people who are serving in the military to give the best assessment of where women can serve,” former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney responded.

After noting that 100 women have died in Iraq and Afghanistan, Romney said he believes women “have the capacity to serve in our military in positions of significance and responsibility, as we do throughout our society.”

Yep…I’m definitely a sexist.  Why?  Well, those four males might approve of women in combat, but I don’t!  UNLESS it is here, on the home front, then…yer damn skippy we’ll be fighting right along side of the guys.  Otherwise, no.  It’s not our job.  Contrary to what the feminazis and leftards would like for people to believe…MEN AND WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT!  That is a fact that cannot be changed.  We think differently, we react differently, we feel differently, and I won’t even get into the physiology.

The Debate 2/22/12

23 February 2012, 7:45 am. Comments Off. Filed under 2012, Election Stuff, Opinion, Politics, Republican.

Right up front I’m going to tell you….I only watched the first hour. I didn’t learn a darn thing new from any of them, so when Criminal Minds came on, I agreed with the Mr, it was time to change the channel. It was a good one too, so I have no regrets. At some point today, I may watch the last half, because, of course, I had to dvr the debate….just in case.

Yes, Newt still is able to do well in debates, Ron Paul does just fine until he starts rambling and throwing in his absurd foreign policy, neither Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum was terribly impressive, IMHO. For the time I watched, most seemed to be stuttering and stumbling over their words. I don’t know if it was because they were sitting down, and the blood was being cut off from their brains, or what! I just wasn’t at all impressed.

Now to be totally honest, there were some answers I did applaud. Santorum on the contraceptive issues, but I think he over explained. There was even one time, I whole heartedly agreed with Paul, but I’ll be darned if I can remember what it was, because after that, he went into one of his ramblings, and he totally lost me.

One thing that is irritating the bejabbers out of me….they spent most of the time defending themselves from each other, instead of concentrating on the REAL target…..Barack Hussein Obama, and his socialist agenda. Newt did a bit, but the rest of ‘em? Meh. If they succeeded in knocking off the petty bickering between themselves, and got to the meat in the second half, I just might have to watch. If not, then I don’t see the point.

The bad thing is…..I have to decide who I am going to vote for in the primary. I’ll be voting early, today or tomorrow, and honestly, at this point, it appears I’ll be flipping a coin. sigh…

Democrats Promote Fraud

Why voter ID should matter to Americans of all races

The Rev. Jesse Jackson and other establishment civil rights leaders scolded South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley earlier this year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day no less, for her state’s voter identification law. They reminded her that her Indian ancestry (Gov. Haley’s parents are from Amritsar in India’s Punjab Province) makes her a minority.

NAACP president Benjamin Jealous, a hostile opponent of ballot security measures, said that — by participating in King Day observances — Governor Haley is “willing to deify the dreamer and desecrate the dream.”

A more solemn Jackson intoned: “She couldn’t vote before 1965, just as I couldn’t.”

I wonder if anyone bothered to point out to these poverty pimps that the reason they couldn’t vote was because DEMOCRATS wouldn’t let them? Naw….probably not!

Here’s a fact. Nikki Haley couldn’t vote until 1990 because she was born in 1972. There were no more racial barriers to her voting then and none exist today.

Criminy! She’s still just a baby. Ok, now I feel really old! ’72 was the first time I ever voted. sigh…

On January 19, two days before the 2012 South Carolina primary, the state attorney general, Alan Wilson informed the Justice Department that a study of the Department of Motor Vehicles records and voting records indicates that 953 votes were cast on behalf of dead people in past South Carolina elections.

Apparently, not even dying can prevent people from voting! I wonder how I can find out if my parents have been voting?

Seriously, if these people are so worried about voting rights, how about being concerned with the voting rights of the living? How about concerning themselves with the right of EVERYONE to vote….legally! Oh, wait a minute. I forgot. Silly me! That’s not how the left does things. Legal only counts if their guy wins. To hell with legitimate votes.  Don’t you ever wonder if that woman hadn’t suddenly discover boxes of ballots in the trunk of her car, if that non funny ‘comedienne’ would be sitting in the Senate right now?

Santorum gets second wind with sweep in Minn., Mo., Colo.

Rick Santorum swept three nominating contests held Tuesday, upsetting frontrunner Mitt Romney and injecting new energy into the former Pennsylvania senator’s campaign.

Santorum scored broad victories in the Minnesota caucus and a primary in Missouri, according to NBC News projections. But Santorum’s most significant upset came in Colorado, where the state GOP declared him the apparent victor in caucuses there.

Santorum jolts GOP presidential race with 3-state sweep

Rick Santorum awoke to a new reality Wednesday after sweeping all three Republican presidential contests a day earlier, reshaping the contest that will decide who runs against President Barack Obama in November.

Santorum won caucuses in Minnesota and Colorado, as well as a nonbinding primary in Missouri to energize his campaign and raise questions about front-runner Mitt Romney’s ability to attract broad conservative support.

Now, I don’t know about you, but these 3 ‘contests’ tells me something. And that something would be…..

HEY! RNC! Us’ns ou’chere in flyover country….

WE DON’T WANT NO MITT ROMNEY!

I’m just real sorry they didn’t figure out before shoving him down our throats. You see, we would rather have a choice in who our nomination, and president, will be. We don’t really care whose “turn it is”. If that was the intent of the Founders, then we would have had a monarchy, or something similar. But we don’t.

Y’all stuck us with John McCain, who EVERYONE knew couldn’t win. He’s a ‘nice guy’, and politics aren’t polite! Honestly, I think that man did almost as much sucking up to Obama as the media. :? Now, I’m not saying the Romney would be a similar suck up, but he honestly doesn’t fit the criteria we are looking for in a nominee.

Is Santorum perfect? No, but those folks who are looking for the “perfect” candidate will always be disappointed!

When push comes to shove, will we be able to unite behind whoever the candidate will be? I sure pray so! Even Romney says the GOP will be united.  If we do not unite, we will be saying goodbye to the United States of America.  A place where, once upon a time, you could dream big, and achieve much.  We want that country back!  We will not get it under Barack Hussein Obama and his henchmen!  We need the Senate, the House, the White House, AND the Supreme Court!  And we need them NOW!

NO Second Chance

President Obama: ‘I deserve a second term’

President Obama in a pre-Super Bowl interview aired on Sunday said that despite being unable to completely turn the economy around in three years, he still deserves to be re-elected.

“I deserve a second term but we’re not done,” Obama told NBC’s Matt Lauer in an interview broadcast from the White House.

First question: Why does this fool think that anyone wanted to hear him bumping his gums on Super Bowl Sunday?
Second question: What on earth makes him believe he deserves a damn thing, other than our scorn?

Lauer noted that in a pre-Super Bowl interview three years ago, Obama had said “If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

Obama said that three years ago the economy was losing 750,000 jobs a month and the latest unemployment data from Friday shows. “Now we are creating 250,000,” he said.

Sorry, cooking the numbers doesn’t make it true. Why are there more people having to get food stamps now than ever before in our history? You said one term, we’re taking you at your word. You have NOT turned the economy around. As a matter of fact, it is worse! Even the New York Times has a problem with Obama’s numbers.

The Labor Department estimated on Friday that the economy gained 243,000 jobs.

The department also estimated that the economy lost 2,689,000 jobs in the month.

Let’s see…ya take that lost number, subtract that gain, and what do you get?  A NEGATIVE!  Which is what we’ve had for quite a while.   The downturn started under Bush’s watch in 2007.  What happened in 2007?

Oh yeah…. I remember!  That’s when the Democrats took over both the House and the Senate!  We’ve been on that downhill slide ever since!  So NO, Mr Obama, you do NOT deserve a second term.  Hell, you didn’t even deserve the FIRST ONE!

…from D.J. It pretty much sums up the state of the primaries so far though, doesn’t it. :? The media and talking heads have picked the candidate they want to lose to D’Bama, and that’s that!

No, I’m not actually ‘endorsing’ Santorum, not that anyone would think my endorsement would put a candidate over the top. Heh. I do lean more towards him than anyone else. I have to make up my mind for sure in the next week or so…early voting in Tennessee starts on the 15th of February and goes through the 28th. Our primary on March 6th, and the baby is due on the 8th, so it’s possible I won’t be in the state to vote. Y’all be sure to have your ID on ya when you go to cast your vote! :D

Shafted…..AGAIN!

Are we being bamboozled? Is it any wonder that people are thinking their vote doesn’t count? Do you know ANYONE who is a Mitt Romney supporter? I sure don’t! Yet…there he is…on the top of the heap! I’d really like to know if there are some serious irregularities going on. Are Democrats voting in the Republican caucuses and primaries? Because, to be perfectly honest, I don’t see any other way that Romney has won anything! No self respecting conservative would fall for the BS that “he’s the only on that can beat Obama”. No self respecting conservative would vote for the father of ‘RomneyCare’ the preceded ObamaCare! No self respecting Republican would vote for the guy who George Soros says is no different than Obama!

Fox News
If we’re looking for as close to real conservative (social and fiscal) as possible, then we OUGHT to be out shouting to the rooftops…. RICK SANTORUM! Even Newt Gringrich would be a better choice than Romney! And being what I guess you’d call ‘evangelical’, I’d have a tough time with a serial adulterer.

Unfortunately, Jesus isn’t running, so we will have to work with what we have! But Romney? *shakes head* If he is foisted on us, just like John McCain was, I will vote for him, but it will be extremely difficult!  It would be even MORE difficult to vote for Ron Paul, but I’d do that too, just to get that lying, scheming, phony out the White House!

We didn’t get to this point over night, and it won’t take just one election cycle to fix it!  If we end up with a RINO, then we had best make sure we have a strong majority in BOTH houses of Congress!

Deja Vu All Over Again

Romney wins Florida primary prize, Gingrich pledges drawn-out battle

Mitt Romney heads into the next phase of the Republican presidential nominating contest carrying a big win under his belt, after reasserting his frontrunner status with a crushing victory over Newt Gingrich in Florida.

However, Romney and the rest of the Republican candidates will have to fine-tune their approach as they enter the bevy of contests scattered all across the country in February, starting in Nevada this Saturday.

Didn’t we suffer a resounding defeat because the RNC decided it was John McCain’s “turn” back in 2008? And yet…here we go again. Having a flippin’ RINO shoved down our throats! If George Soros can’t tell the difference between Mitt Romney and Barack Hussein Obama, shouldn’t those RED warning flags be up all over the country?  I’m starting to wonder if the Ron Paul supporters might be right…this whole thing is rigged!

I don’t actually dislike Romney.  I’m sure he’s a real nice guy, and he has some fairly decent ideas.  The problem is, he’s got a record of doing more flips than Mary Lou Retton.  At this point in time, he is NOT the person we need to get this country back on the right track!  We need BOLD, not wishy washy.  We need someone who have the values of the majority of Americans, and a fairly strong conservative record.  That person is NOT Mitt Romney!

Once upon a time, I honestly believed that the office of the President of the United States, or the nomination for, could not be bought.  How naive of me!  But then, I was much younger, and more innocent in the ways of politics.  I’m sorry to say, those days are long gone.  Once, men of vision, like George Washington and Ronald Reagan for example, would hold the highest office in the land.  Now, whoever has the most money wins.  That is NOT the American Way!

We got stuck with a freakin’ community organizer, who has never had a real job in his entire life…has never run a business, has never done ANYTHING that makes him stand out among the field other than a few pretty words read off a teleprompter, yet was elected for no better reason than ‘he is black’.  He had no record to stand on, was a member of a virulently racist, anti-American church, was involved with communists throughout his youth, and follows the “Rules for Radicals” with a passion. All this, to destroy what we had left of what was once the freest nation in the world, where, with hard work and determination, ANYONE could succeed.

Thanks to the Republican elites and the media, we got John McCain, a major RINO, shoved in our faces, and the whole country lost by the election of a man/child. Now, they are doing it again, with Mitt Romney. I do NOT believe that he can defeat Obama, as they keep telling us, over and over, ad nauseum!  Even though he won the Florida primary, does NOT mean he is a shoe in for the nomination….not if WE, The People will stand up against the elites, and shout, once again, NO!  We’re mad as hell, and we aren’t going to take it anymore!

NO RINOS!

Tea Party Patriots straw poll: Santorum nomination would generate most enthusiasm

Florida tea partiers would be most enthusiastic if former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum won the Republican presidential nomination, according to a straw poll conducted Sunday night by the Tea Party Patriots organization.

The straw poll was conducted following a conference call during which Santorum, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and answered questions and made their pitch to the call’s participants. Texas Rep. Ron Paul was invited to participate, but was unable to do so.

Callers were asked to rank their enthusiasm for each of the candidates receiving the nomination on a scale of one to five, with five being the most enthusiastic.

For Santorum, 35 percent of respondents said they would be the most enthusiastic, while 26 percent were in the middle. The rest were split among the other options.

Callers were also enthusiastic about a Gingrich nomination, and he had the support of 35 percent of the callers, with 24 percent saying they would be in the “most enthusiastic” category.

Romney’s support, on the other hand, was “balanced across the board,” with each level of enthusiasm receiving a similar number of votes.

Reading this, talking to many people, and comparing what is reported through the media, you’d think we were all on different planets.  Well, in a way, I suppose we are.  You see, the media, and the RNC elites have decided it is “Romney’s turn”.  On the other hand, you have regular folks, like me, who have decided the RNC elites, and the media, are full of caca de toro, and we aren’t buying into their BS!

Many of us figured out the last go ’round, that the Republican Party is no longer the party of Reagan type conservatism, which the MAJORITY of “R” voters are.  Those at the top have decided those of us who actually do the voting, aren’t smart enough to make our own decisions, so they apparently have sent out their talking points to the media, and have them pushing hard for THEIR choice for the nominee, instead of allowing us ‘small people’ to make our own decision on who WE want to see in the White House.

In 2010, we sent a very…VERY strong message to Washington, D.C., and for a few months, they did seem to pay attention.  Alas, as with all entrenched politicians, those ‘powers that be’ made a very unwise decision to buck the voters, and carry on with business as usual.  I think it’s time we sent them an even STRONGER message.

WE, THE PEOPLE…..do NOT want Mitt Romney as the nominee for President of the United States!

As a VERY conservative American, my preference would be Rick Santorum.  BUT, I could live with Newt Gringrich.  The VP pick is also very important to us out here in the real world.  A combination of Gringrich and Santorum, Gringrich/West or Rubio, Santorum/West or Rubio would get us out here in the REAL world excited enough to actually put in some time and money?

So, you folks up there in D.C. might want to start paying attention.  You may not have a job come November 7, because we are not playing patty cake with you yahoos anymore!  We want our country back.  We are a REPUBLIC….not a democracy!  Please be so kind as to pull your collective heads out of your collective hinders!

IMHO, Rick Santorum’s values are closer to my own than any of the others. I’m leaning more and more towards him! I’m a little disconcerted at how many on the right are falling into the media trap. This man may not have the fire of Newt, or the money of Romney, but he does have principles.
