Pelosi Risks Ethics Charges to Bring Down Newt Gingrich

It looks like that the air of bipartisanship that hung over the infamous couch ad with former Speakers Newt Gingrich and Nancy Pelosi has dissipated to be replaced by threats, counter-threats, and accusations.

Pelosi fired the first shot by threatening to reveal some dirt on Gingrich that she learned while sitting on the House Ethics Committee, according to The Hill. She would reveal this privileged information “when the time is right” presumably in October, 2012, if Gingrich were nominated.

The word ‘ethics’ and the name ‘Pelosi’ should never be used in the same sentence.  Why?  Well, Pelosi has NO ethics.  She can claim, and just might have, actual dirt on Gingrich, but how much ya wanna bet that he has some dirt on her too?  Oh, lets face it, the woman has no class.  She is as corrupt as they come.  I would like to think there are few intelligent people in the San Fransisco bay area, but it’s quite obvious there are way too few.  If they had any self respect at all, they would have gotten rid of the useless black female dog a long time ago.  Whether or not Gingrich becomes the nominee is still way up in the air,and for her to be spewing her crap already tells me quite a bit….like the Dhimmis are terrified they are going to lose their messiah.

Gingrich fired back, suggesting that Pelosi would be in violation of House rules were she to go through with this move. He urged that Pelosi be investigated for threatening to violate her duty to keep deliberations of the ethics committee secret.

Does anyone really think she cares about violating House rules? Pfft! She is nothing more than one huge violation….of common decency! She should be ‘investigated’ for a number of things, but you know it won’t happen. The Dems don’t give a flying fart about rules, or ethics, or honesty, and the lame stream media backs them up, on all levels.

The Pelosi threat seems to represent a return to the Democratic strategy to try to bring down Gingrich with ethics charges, most of them bogus. The campaign that was waged during Gingrich’s speakership, as related by the Washington Post, was successful in weakening Gingrich to an extent and helped to lead to his resignation in 1998 after a disappointing midterm election for Republicans.

I’m not a huge Gingrich fan, but if he ends up being the nominee, I will cast my vote for him. He’s extremely intelligent, although he is much more of a RINO that I would like. He would, however, make Obama seem extremely stupid in a debate, especially if there are no teleprompters allowed. (Personal opinion, I thought Hillary Clinton proved to be a LOT smarter, and better informed, in the ’08 Dem debates.) The dude just can’t put a coherent thought together without someone giving him the words. :? The fiasco in the 90s shows just how desperate the Dems get when there are people who fight against their socialist plans. To say the Dems have no integrity would be an understatement.

Democrats are said to be gleeful at the prospect of running against Gingrich. He is too extreme, too unpleasant to win against President Obama, it is said.

Extreme? Uh…ok. So, I guess they believe that the current resident of the White House is a center of the road type dude, right? Well, sure….if you think a Marxist is middle of the road, I guess he is. As for unpleasant? Well, there again, I have to say…if showing your opponent to be a bumbling, stumbling, anti American stooge, I can live with unpleasant too.

But the spectacle of Pelosi expressing willingness to expose herself to an ethics investigation and possible sanctions in order to bring to light dirt on Gingrich suggests that the Democrats are afraid of him. Gingrich did end a 40-year rule of Congress by Democrats in 1994, taking away their power, and enacting elements of the Contract with America. The fury of the Democrats over this is unending and without limit.

The saddest part about the end of the Dem rule was that Republicans didn’t know how to win! They snatched the power away from the ever increasing lean to the left Democrats, and didn’t know how to handle it. The problem? It is possible to be too nice. But then, most folks with an ‘R’ behind their names practice their faiths. ‘D’s apparently only have faith in one thing….power! And will do anything, and everything, to destroy decent men and women to achieve their goals. Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if there was an altar somewhere that many of the Democrats go to worship the real Deceiver.

The nightmare of people like Pelosi is a President Gingrich with a Republican House and Senate, enacting legislation that makes the Contract seem tame by comparison. Considering that the promise of Obama was that he would do the same thing in reverse, it shows that we’re in a turning world indeed.

Therefore, Gingrich must be destroyed – again – as thoroughly as the Romans destroyed Carthage. The 2012 campaign is bound to be nasty. With Gingrich as the nominee, it will bring new definitions of that term.

A Republican White House, House of Representatives, and Senate would definitely be a Democrat>progressive>socialist>Marxist nightmare! But it would go a long way towards reversing the damage inflicted by the recent four years of Democrat rule (2006-2008 majority in Congress, 2008-2010 control of both Congress and White House). It has taken 100 years to find ourselves at such a low point, and our nation’s ills won’t be cured in just a few election cycles. Be prepared to fight tooth and nail to regain all the freedoms we have lost over the last century. Nancy Pelosi and her cohorts be damned!

Dem says Perry wants Congress to get jobs at Wal-Mart

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) on Friday morning said GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry is pushing for a Congress that works just half of its time in Washington, and the other half at members’ local Wal-Mart.

Congratulations Memphis! Once again, you make Tennessee appear to be full of idiots by continuing to elect this bozo to Congress! Stevie, I’m afraid you aren’t qualified to work at Wally World. You’d have to have at least a little bit of common sense to be hired :?

Speaking on the House floor, Cohen was critiquing a GOP bill that could come up next week that would require Congress to approve all federal regulations. Cohen said this would require Congress to be in session even longer, which goes against candidate Perry’s prescription for a half-time Congress.

Actually, no, it wouldn’t. Well, it wouldn’t if y’all actually did the job you were hired to do, and stay out of OUR business. You’d have plenty of time if y’all just stop creating more useless programs, spending money that isn’t yours, and WE don’t have.

“How can we work half-time under President Perry?” Cohen asked. “We’d have to be working time and a half. And we know there’s not enough money for overtime, and President Perry doesn’t want us to do that, he wants us to get a separate job when we go home.

Heaven forbid if y’all were actually efficient, and could do the job set out in the Constitution, instead of playing games with the American taxpayers money. Personally, I’d like to see your salary cut in half, or maybe more!

“We go back to San Antonio, we work half-time as a congressman and half-time we work at Wal-Mart,” Cohen added. “That’s what he’s suggesting.”

Perry has suggested that Congress only work part-time in order to reduce Washington’s power and save money.

Dude, I’m not sure if you are aware of this or not, but San Antonio is in Texas, and YOU supposedly live in Tennessee. Why would you get a job in Texas? :? Maroon! Evidently, Cohen is not aware that Congress is SUPPOSE to be a part time job, not a life time career. Aren’t most of you idjits lawyers? How about you go home, and practice law. Heaven knows, y’all could use all the practice you can get! You’ve been getting rich off the sweat of OUR labors for long enough!

Pelosi Really Is That Stupid

Earlier this week, Representative (and former Speaker) Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) ventured out of her protective radical leftist cocoon and went on to The Daily Show to chat with Jon Stewart. She probably thought it would be safe, but she forgot that every now and then Stewart suddenly has these urges to show he’s not 100% in the tank for the left. This time, he asked Pelosi a very simple question that she should have expected: why did the House, in her last two years of control, not even try to pass a federal budget?

Pelosi’s answer was so stunningly stupid and wrong, it needs to be scrutinized in depth. “Because the Republicans would have filibustered.

Six simple words. Two of them are four-syllable words, but still a very simple sentence. And just how is it wrong?

H.R. 822 – National Reciprocity

12 November 2011, 12:23 pm. 4 Comments. Filed under 2nd Amendment, Congress, House of Representatives.

I have been looking over this bill, H.R. 822, and I’m finding myself a bit concerned.

‘Sec. 926D. Reciprocity for the carrying of certain concealed firearms

‘(a) Notwithstanding any provision of the law of any State or political subdivision thereof, related to the carrying or transportation of firearms, a person who is not prohibited by Federal law from possessing, transporting, shipping, or receiving a firearm, and who is carrying a government-issued photographic identification document and a valid license or permit which is issued pursuant to the law of a State and which permits the person to carry a concealed firearm, may carry a concealed handgun (other than a machinegun or destructive device) that has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce, in any State, other than the State of residence of the person, that–

Sounds pretty good, right?  Well, I’m all for reciprocity, but I have an issue with a national list of CCP.  Isn’t it bad enough that the state already has such a list, and news agencies freely publish that list?  I don’t think I like the Feds being involved in our 2nd Amendment rights.  “Certain concealed firearms”? What if they decide my little Walther P22 shouldn’t be on that ‘certain firearms’ list? Or my itty bitty 5 shot derringer? There is nothing to stop them from listing all sorts of carry weapons. Not to mention, they could make it almost impossible to get a permit. What government giveth, government can also taketh away!  :?

They are there to do the PEOPLE’S will, not some fat cat lobbyists! And yeah, no Washington insider should ever be allowed to become lobbyist!

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee Calls Abortion a ‘Needed Action’ & Refers to Fetal Heartbeats as ‘Sounds’

Voicing her opposition to the measure on Thursday, Jackson Lee referenced a previous Texas law, “Just as the courts ruled unconstitutional and upheld the provision of the Texas law that required a doctor to talk first to a woman seeking an abortion and to allow or force them both to listen, uh, to sounds that, uh, might discourage this needed action, this is going to be held unconstitutional. This is not a law that can pass,” Jackson said. (source)

Let’s take a look at her biography, provided by Wikipedia, shall we?  If you read through some of the items here, you will probably come to the same conclusion that I have.  The cheese done slid off the cracker!  That woman is certifiable!  She wants to sell fighter jets to Venezuela?  Seriously?  We won the war in Vietnam?  *shakes head*  And I couldn’t even begin to list the numerous racists comments that woman has made!  Her biography lists her chosen religion as Seventh Day Adventist.

Much of the theology of the Seventh-day Adventist Church corresponds to Protestant Christian teachings such as the Trinity and the infallibility of Scripture. Distinctive teachings include the unconscious state of the dead and the doctrine of an investigative judgment. The church is also known for its emphasis on diet and health, its holistic understanding of the person, its promotion of religious liberty, and its conservative principles and lifestyle.

Infallibility of Scripture?  I would suggest the Adventists reconsider her membership.  Scripture does not describe the murder of babies as “a needed action”.  As a matter of fact, there are quite a few passages that state just the opposite.  Sacrificing children is totally frowned upon by God.  And that’s what abortion is….a sacrifice to the liberal agenda….the ME mindset.

“Promotion of religious liberties and it’s conservative principles and lifestyle“?  Pardon me while a throw up a bit.  Yes, the Adventists seriously need to rethink this woman’s claim to be a member of their denomination.

Mzzzzzz Jackson-Lee, those are not ‘sounds’.  Those are HEARTBEATS of living being!  And you madam, are a tool of evil!

I would strongly urge the citizens of Texas’ 18th Congressional district to send this woman packing.  She is advocating the same thing that Margaret Sanger pushed for……Black Genocide. Her ignorance as a U.S. Congresswoman is astounding!

Update From Marsha

Friends,

As you know, I have always been a staunch advocate for implementing fiscally responsible policies that will bring some sanity back to Washington and rein in the wasteful spending.  Since coming to Congress, I have championed efforts such as my legislation to cut spending across-the-board by 1, 2, and 5 percent.

Just over a week ago, I introduced H.R. 3043, a bill to freeze spending for two years, for an additional savings of $27 billion.  My bill simply caps spending for Fiscal Years 2013 and 2014 at the same spending cap level for Fiscal Year 2012 under the Budget Control Act.  We estimate that this would save $4 billion in Fiscal Year 2013 and $23 billion in Fiscal Year 2014.

House Republicans have taken significant steps this year to put in place caps on Washington’s spending binge.  My bill builds on the progress we have made this year, puts more controls on spending, and would help alleviate the debt burden currently weighing down our economy.

Working class families around the country are continuing to tighten their belts, and they expect Washington to do the same. The spending caps that we have put in place are a great starting point, but more must be done to regain the trust of the American people.

My freeze bill will hold Washington bureaucrats more accountable for the decisions they make with the taxpayers’ hard earned money.  It is a common sense proposal that will allow us to cap and cut future spending, and take away the President’s blank check.

So far the freeze bill has 13 original co-sponsors, including Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, and former Chairman of the Republican Conference, Mike Pence.

My legislation has also received support from groups like Citizens Against Government Waste, who delivered a letter to members of Congress on Monday, as well as Citizens United President David Bossie who penned this op-ed: A Commonsense Plan in a World Gone Soft

My Best,
Marsha

Update From Rep Blackburn

Friends,

Many of you have been watching with interest the situation with Gibson Guitar. As you know, I was honored Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz came as my guest to President Obama’s jobs speech. President Obama could take a lesson from business leaders like Henry and recognize that businesses like Gibson Guitar are key to getting our nation’s economic engine running again.

Currently, Gibson Guitar’s workers are not manufacturing guitars. I wanted to let you know that I committed to seeing this injustice righted and so are my friends on the Energy and Commerce Committee. I wanted to share with you the latest news from the Committee. We are continuing to work to cut back some of the out-of-control regulations and hold the Obama Administration accountable for selectively enforcing rules that are hindering job growth and killing small businesses.

Please continue to let me know your thoughts on this and all issues. You can email me, find me on Facebook, or follow me on Twitter.

R.O.E.

I have to ask…why would any congress critter vote against allowing our military men and women to defend themselves?

Rep John Mica introduced an amendment (H.R. Amdt 318) to H.R. 1540 that would do just that.

AMENDMENT DESCRIPTION:
Amendment requires that the rules of engagement allow any military service personnel assigned to duty in a designated hostile fire area to have rules of engagement that fully protect their right to proactively defend themselves from hostile actions.

AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
An amendment numbered 38 printed in House Report 112-88 to require that the rules of engagement allow any military service personnel assigned to duty in a designated hostile fire area to have rules of engagement that fully protects their right to proactively defend themselves from hostile actions.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me. We know that many of the Democrats don’t give a damn about the safety of our troops, but when I see that there are Republicans that voted against this amendment as well, then I have some serious problems. The one who shocks me the most….. Paul Ryan.  As a matter of fact, only one Republican from Wisconsin voted to let the soldiers defend themselves, Reid Riddle.  Is there something in this amendment that escapes me?  It’s pretty simple language, so I’m not sure just what the objections are with those who voted against it.

If anyone has an explanation, I’d sure be happy to hear it.

Tea Party Group Slams Rep. Waters Over ‘Straight to Hell’ Outburst

A national Tea Party group urged Democrats to adhere to their own calls for civility after Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters told a restless crowd over the weekend that the “Tea Party can go straight to hell.”

Mark Meckler and Jenny Beth Martin, who lead the Tea Party Patriots, suggested President Obama should step in to put a check on the overheated rhetoric.

“We’ve had Democrats calling American citizens ‘terrorists’ and ‘hostage takers,’ and now an elected Democratic representative says that we can ‘go straight to hell.’ The president and all leaders of the Democratic Party, who have called for civility in the past, are neglecting to censure their own. Is civility only required from their opponents?” they asked in a statement. “Perhaps it’s time for a new-NEW era of civility. … The president’s silence on these latest violations of civility has been deafening, but not surprising.”

I’d say it is quite likely that ol’ Maxine, the socialist, will have the dishonor of going where she is directing patriotic Americans.  Isn’t it nice that so many so called representatives of We, The People, show their love in such a manner?  Not to mention their level of maturity.  *shakes head*  I know where I am going, and in all likelihood, Maxine, and those of her ilk…so filled with hatred, won’t be there.

In my opinion, this woman, and all the other who have spewed their vitriol towards those of us who actually believe in this country, it’s founding, and the Constitution, have no business in elected, or appointed office.  They have lost all credibility.  Let’s face it, Obama will do nothing.  Pelosi will do nothing.  It’s even doubtful that Boehner will do anything.  Heaven knows, the media won’t call these people out…..they are just as bad.

So, what should we do?  Well, we could lower ourselves to their level, but I’d rather not.  Or, we can work extremely hard to get people like Maxine Waters out of office.  Such behavior is disgraceful.  We can work doubly hard to get the truth to the uninformed because, you know…. The truth shall set you free!  And shouldn’t we do our best to set our fellow citizens free from the bonds of ignorance?  :D

Plastic Woman Stretches Reality

Pelosi: GOP House getting little done

Democrats accused Republicans of wasting time and getting little done as the House began 10 hours of debate Thursday on a resolution intended to kill burdensome regulations.

“This is a make work product for Republicans who are without an agenda for job creation,” Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said. “You have nothing else to offer.”

Psst! Nanny! You are no longer Speaker.  You spent four years doing more than your share of running this country into the ground.  Now, it’s time for you to sit down, and shut up.  The grown ups are in charge now, and it’s high time you realize your relevancy is highly suspect!  Your idea of ‘job creation’ is destroying those businesses that actually CREATES jobs, taxing and regulating them into oblivion, and putting government ‘jobs’ at the forefront.  Well, Mzzzzzzzzzzzzz Pelosi….who pays the salaries of all those gubmint workers, eh?  I mean, seriously, if there are no private businesses anymore, where does the TAX money come from to pay YOUR salary?  Hmmmm…???

Pelosi said Democrats approved far more productive bills in their first month in previous Congresses, and chided Republicans’ lack of progress. She criticized not only the resolution on regulations, but the vote last month to repeal healthcare, which failed to move in the Senate. Pelsoi said the healthcare vote was “red meat” for the insurance industry.

And there, m’dear….is the crux of the problem. Y’all pushed unconstitutional, 2 THOUSAND paged bills, numerous tax schemes, etc., on a rather LOUD majority of WE, The People. You were FIRED as Speaker, because, well….y’all actually suck at the job!  And if you weren’t aware, we actually WANT extensive and exhaustive debate on important issues.  Shoot…..ALL issues.  Perhaps y’all will stop wasting OUR money if you are actually AWARE of what is in a bill, or resolution.

I guess we can’t fault the old, plastic woman too much for her ignorance.  I mean, after all, when you shoot that much garbage into your face, odds are, there will be some will leak into what was once a brain.

Concealer

20 January 2011, 8:39 am. Comments Off. Filed under Dhimmicrats, Health Care, House of Representatives.

Yesterday morning, when I walked into the hospital’s coffee bar, the girl behind the counter said “Wow, you obviously finally got some rest!”  My response….with a smile, “Concealer.”

Now, most women know what I mean, and most husband SHOULD know what that is, but for those of you who don’t….  Concealer is that little magic tube of makeup type stuff that conceals minor flaws….like dark circles and bags under your eyes when you don’t get enough sleep.  Ok, so it doesn’t exactly conceal completely, but it’s a good start.

That got me to thinking.  How many times in our lives to we use some sort of ‘concealer’.  There are things we just don’t want people to know about us.  I’m basically an open book, but there are many things about me that people don’t know.  Frankly, cuz it’s none of their flippin’ business.

There are a few folks who have basically got the big picture, the Mr for one.  Why would I try to conceal anything from the man I’m suppose to trust with my life?  Doesn’t make sense.  So, he knows some of the worst about me.   My pastor and a few select friends know a lot, but not everything.  And honestly, there are things I just don’t remember, for a variety of reasons.  :D

So, when I started thinking about this, it occurred to me, our so called political leaders use a lot of ‘concealer’.  And I mean a LOT!  They cover the ugly parts they don’t want you to see, but they are still there, and eventually, come to the surface.  Many will keep slapping on more and more concealer, in other words, lie….repeatedly, and expect us all to see and hear, only what they want us to see and hear.  We are too stupid to see through the facade, don’t ya know.  Haven’t they pretty much told us that, time and time again?

Take for example the comments Steve Cohen made on the House floor.

“They don’t like the truth so they summarily dismiss it,” he said. “They say it’s a government takeover of healthcare. A big lie just like [Nazi propaganda minister Joseph] Goebbels. You say it enough and you repeat the lie, repeat the lie, repeat the lie until eventually people believe it. Like blood libel, that’s the same kind of thing.

“The Germans said enough about the Jews and people believed it, and you have the Holocaust,” he added. “You tell a lie over and over again.”

Here we have a Jewish man, comparing his fellow Americans with Goebbels.  Nice.  Real flippin’ nice.  The problem is, it’s not the GOP that are spewing the lies, and expecting WE, The People to buy into them.  That would be YOUR side of the aisle, Stevie!  You see, WE have actually READ the bill.  Have you?  Thank you, once again, for embarrassing the state of Tennessee.  :?

Of course, he did try to do some back peddling.  I’m afraid you can’t get the toothpaste back in the tube.

Then we have one of the ‘queens of concealer’, Shelia Jackson Lee.  Definitely one of my favorites.  /snark Here we have the type of person who will use other people, even through a big fat lie, to attempt to slap down one of the more intelligent people who has interviewed her.  One of the HUGE problems is that, it’s all crap!  When someone shows up at a hospital, with a trauma, or seriously ill, they are NOT ever turned away.  DESPITE their ability to pay.

Just a side note:  There are people who use emergency rooms as their family clinic.  Illegals come to mind.  They are not turned away, even though they don’t pay, and as a consequence, many hospitals have had to close their doors, denying those who could, or would, pay, adequate health care.

Bureaucracies do not save lives.  Never have, never will.  This bill is nothing more than one huge bureaucracy, with the ability to control your life.  Lies.  And they keep repeating them.  Sadly, many have not attempted to see through the ‘concealer’ to what is really underneath.

If, on the off chance, that Cohen or Lee has actually READ the entire bill, that too speaks volumes about their ability to think rationally, as a freedom loving American.  I don’t believe either of them to be such a person.  Which is why, imho, they push so hard to deny the rest of us the freedoms granted to us by the Almighty, Himself.

There is not enough concealer in the world to cover all the “flaws” that came out of the Democrat controlled Congress.  We see through it!

The World Is Still Turning

Nothing like being totally out of touch.  :?

They moved the Mr out of ICU and into a real room this evening.  This is a good thing.  :D   While I was setting up his computer and stuff, he asked me….  “Did they vote to repeal ObamaCare?”

I couldn’t answer.  I had no idea!  Being the political news junkie I have been for many years, you’d think I’d have at least kept up with a little news here and there.  Nope.  I haven’t even turned on the TV, or listened to the radio except on the drive from the motel to the hospital, and that was set on The Message.

He may not be aware of it, but he did give me a rather odd look.  Wonder if that was the “WHO ARE YOU?” look?  LOL

I just now found out….yes, the House DID vote to repeal ObamaCare:D

No, I’m still not turning on the TV.  Honestly, as important as that news is, it just really isn’t my number one priority right now.  The world will still continue turning, and the liberals will still be insane, even if I don’t pay attention to ‘em.
