Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, a Libyan intelligence officer who was the only person ever convicted in the 1988 Lockerbie bombing, died Sunday nearly three years after he was released from a Scottish prison to the outrage of the relatives of the attack’s 270 victims. He was 60.

Scotland released al-Megrahi on Aug. 20, 2009, on compassionate grounds to let him return home to die after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. At the time, doctors predicted he had only three months to live.

Anger over the release was further stoked by the hero’s welcome he received on his arrival in Libya — and by subsequent allegations that London had sought his release to preserve business interests in the oil-rich North African nation, strongly denied by the British and Scottish governments.

You’ll excuse me while I feel NO sympathy, not for him, not for his family, not for his fellow ‘countrymen’ and fellow muzzies. NONE. ZIP. ZILCH. If GB was actually a civilized country, the piece of male bovine excrement would have been shot….repeatedly so he could get the full impact of pain….with a very slow death. Hand, knee, foot, other knee…270  times.   No vital organs!  Well, you get the picture. Nope. Can’t come up with a single tear to shed, or the least bit of compassion.

Now, I’m sure some folks will question whether or not that would be a ‘civilized’ manner of execution.  Well, when it comes to his manner of executing 270 innocent people….yeah… eye for an eye in this case!  I am suppose to pray for my enemies.  Well, I do.  I pray garbage like him get their just judgement!

An Iranian official called this week for an ‘Islamic Awakening’ movement to help Palestinian Authority Arabs “demolish the Zionist regime”, the IRNA news agency reported.

The comments were made at a conference in Tehran in honor of Nakba Day – the day of catastrophe – which is what the Arabs call the English date of May 15, when the State of Israel was re-established with a declaration of independence in 1948.

In a brief address at the end of the conference, the official, Hossein Shiekholeslam said, “In success of a revolution three major factors need to play effective roles, and they are the people, the leadership, and the school of thought, or ideology.”

Well, I don’t know about you, but I think this world has seen enough ‘islamic awakening’ to last centuries!  What we REALLY need is a REAL awakening in the churches and synagogues!  A turning back to God.  The REAL God!

Trying to gain a wee bit of understanding, I looked up Iran’s constitution, and under ‘foreign policy‘, found this:

The Islamic Republic of Iran has as its ideal human felicity throughout human society, and considers the attainment of independence, freedom, and rule of justice and truth to be the right of all people of the world. Accordingly, while scrupulously refraining from all forms of interference in the internal affairs of other nations, it supports the just struggles of the mustad’afun against the mustakbirun in every corner of the globe.

You’ll notice a couple of words not usually found in an English dictionary, so it was time to investigate further.

Mustad’afun – The oppressed (Muslim) masses (Khomeini and Qaradawi).  Khomenini took up the populist rhetoric of the left and was therefore appealing to the entire spectrum from the left to the Islamists. He accused the imperialists of dividing the society into the oppressors and the oppressed and declared that it was a duty for the ulama to save these people. However, after the end of the Revolution, he purged the leftists from the government.

I pondered this for a bit.  Then, came to the conclusion, the only people who oppress muslims are………..muslims.  So, I’m not real sure who exactly that lunatic, Khomeini, was actually referring to.   Ok, what about the other word?  It took a while, but I was thinking it was the opposite, and I was correct. 

Mustakbirun – Oppressors.  (Sometimes, I amaze m’self…especially when I’m only on my first cup of coffee!)

If you look at the history of islam, with open eyes, you’d see a great deal of oppressing going on, with non muslims being the most oppressed.  Of course, the society as a whole is oppressive, so anyone living under islamic rule would, by default, be oppressed.  Wearing a burlap sack, from head to toe, is quite oppressive, IMHO.

I also came across the words being defined as ‘arrogant – aggressor’ (mustakbirun) and ‘weak – oppressed’ (mustad’afun). Jeez! Sure hope I got those straight. It becomes quite confusing, especially when you consider “Surely Allah does not love aggressors.”  I reckon he’s none too fond of the Iranian and PA regimes then, eh?

Take a good hard look at the slave trade.  While there is no end to the shame of the Americas (North & South) in this area, at least they didn’t murder babies born to the slaves in the sex trade.

A comparison of the Islamic slave trade to the American slave trade reveals some interesting contrasts. While two out of every three slaves shipped across the Atlantic were men, the proportions were reversed in the Islamic slave trade. Two women for every man were enslaved by the Muslims.

While the mortality rate for slaves being transported across the Atlantic was as high as 10%, the percentage of slaves dying in transit in the Trans Sahara and East African slave trade was between 80 and 90%!

While almost all the slaves shipped across the Atlantic were for agricultural work, most of the slaves destined for the Muslim Middle East were for sexual exploitation as concubines, in harems, and for military service.

While many children were born to slaves in the Americas, and millions of their descendants are citizens in Brazil and the USA to this day, very few descendants of the slaves that ended up in the Middle East survive.

So, who is the oppressed, and who is the oppressor?  If you ever watch any of the children’s programs aired on ‘palestinian’ television, the oppressors/aggressors are NOT the Israelis.   You don’t see them teaching their kids to murder in the name of God, ‘praying’ to be a martyr, blowing themselves up, do you?  In Israel, Muslims have the right to vote.  Do Jews have that right in any muslim country….if there are any left in muslim countries, that is.  Jews and Christians tend to be ‘disappeared’ in countries ruled by islam.  In other words, they either get kicked out, or they are murdered outright.  How many Armenians are left in Turkey?

So, when these yahoos celebrate….honor….whatever, ‘the day of catastrophe‘, calling for the destruction of a nation, and peoples, I have to wonder, just who is this allah, and his minions, that would continually slaughter the innocent? Always, the name Molech comes to mind, notorious for demanding the sacrifice of children.  In reality, Molech was nothing more than a piece of stone, and it was the so called priests that demanded the death of children.  Bunch of freakin’ evil pervs, in my mind….kind of like the mothers who gladly sacrifice their children for a made up ‘prophet’.

Oh, the guy was real alright, but he was no prophet, except of evil and doom.  If you do any reading, you’ll know that the first half of that ‘holy book’ was all peace and love.  The second half, was written by a madman.  He didn’t get his way, people fought back, and they were slaughtered, all because they wouldn’t bow to his will.

When Hossein Shiekholeslam spoke of ideology, he, of course, was speaking of the ideology of islam. As Daniel Pipes said in 2003: There is no such thing as a moderate Islamist, for all Islamists share the same long-term goals; they differ only over means. The means in Israel, and many other areas of the Middle East is blowing people up, creating terror. On this side of the world, however, the means of the ‘takeover’ is quiet, creeping, and just as devastating, using our own courts and laws to implement their ideology, aided and abetted by the ‘go along to get along’ mindset.

My question is: If Iran, through the PA, attacks Israel, whose side will the current administration be on? They’ve already assisted in the takeover of several countries of the extreme islamists. Granted, the head honchos of those countries were not nice people, but those who are taking their place aren’t so nice either, and might be even worse in the grand scheme of things. There are members of the muslim brotherhood working in our government right now. We’re importing more and more muslims from war torn countries who refuse to assimilate, and want laws changed to accommodate their wants and needs, according to THEIR ‘religion’. Let a Christian try that!

The first speaker at the conference, according to IRNA, was the PA Ambassador in Tehran, Salah Zawawi, who said that the one and only way to soothe the Arabs’ pains and agony is the annihilation of the Zionist regime.

Annihilating anyone, or anything, is NOT going to sooth ‘the Arabs’ pain’. That pain has been caused by themselves. Have you ever seen the Arab areas of Israel? Think inner city slum…trash, filth, and blaming others for the living conditions they, themselves created.

So, when you think seriously about it, this administration will likely come out against Israel. The American people, on the other hand, are largely in support of Israel, and will stand with her through thick and thin.  The Iranian regime might want to remember that!  Also, they might want to remember Who gave the land to the Hebrews, and just who are the invaders.

US President Barack Obama has lifted a ban on financial aid to the Palestinian Authority.

Obama stated that the aid was “important to the security interests of the United States.”

Could someone please explain to me how aiding and abetting terrorists is so “important to the security interests” of our country?????

The US Congress froze a $192 million aid package to the Palestinian Authority after its president, Mahmoud Abbas, defied US pressure and sought to attain UN endorsement of Palestinian statehood last September. The presidential waiver means that aid can now be delivered.

Said phony president really needs to pull his head out of the muzzies asses and start thinking about our REAL security once in a while.  The actions of this guy proves time, and time again, he is not on the side of the U.S. and the American people.  How the hell did this clown get to the top elected office of the land, and WHY the hell is he still there?????

Section 3 of Congress’s Palestinian Accountability Act, which applies to 2012, stipulates that “no funds available to any United States Government department or agency … may be obligated or expended with respect to providing funds to the Palestinian Authority.” Obama has now signed a waiver, however, the White House said Friday, and asked Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to inform Congress accordingly.

The House of Representatives holds the purse strings. The majority in said House are Republicans. Well, at least they SAY they are, so someone please tell me how Obama can get his hands on a single dime, without the ok of the House? My understanding, and I may be totally off base, he shouldn’t be able to, so how is it that he can just wave his magic wand, and POOF! Funds available to a bunch of ruthless thugs who would kill our closest….ONLY….ally in the region, and us too, if given half a chance. Does NO ONE up there in that cesspool we call a Capital have a backbone? Should we send them some spines?

The AFP news agency quoted White House spokesman Tommy Vietor as saying the $192 million aid package would be devoted to “ensuring the continued viability of the moderate PA government under the leadership of [Palestinian Authority] President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.”

“Moderate”? Seriously? Are these people so freakin’ clueless? They LIE! They lie to us infidels on a regular basis, and the morons just suck it up like mother’s milk. Give me a flippin’ break! The media keeps assuring us that Obama is a real smart guy. If that’s true, then he is also a traitor. If not, then for the love of all that’s holy, get him the hell out of our White House!

Saudi Arabia’s highest religious official announced Monday that Christianity will not be tolerated in the Arabian Peninsula, proclaiming it “necessary to destroy all the churches of the region,” Bikyamasar reported.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, the grand mufti, based his statement on the Islamic belief which states that only Islam and no other religion should be followed in the region. The mufti’s declaration was in response to Kuwait’s call for a ban on construction of non-Muslim places of worship, the report said.

The mufti further added that the move should be followed by the Kuwaiti government as well, given that the country is a part of the peninsular region.

It’s also been reported that Osama Al-Munawer, a Kuwaiti parliamentarian, will soon introduce legislation that would call for a ban on constructing new churches in the kingdom. Existing churches, he added, will be exempt from demolition.

“Christians enraged”?  Why?  You can destroy the buildings, but you can’t destroy the Church! “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 20:18)

Apparently, this muffin, moota….mufti, fears the power of the REAL God. Good! Maybe he’ll find the truth eventually, because what he’s pushing isn’t truth, it’s evil. U.S. Officials expected outrage after the alleged massacre of 16 civilians by an American soldier, and now they’re starting to see it.

Dozens of people in southern province of Kandahar held a religious service Tuesday in memory of the shooting victims, and around a thousand students in eastern Afghanistan gathered to voice their anger over the killings.

Burning and chanting “death to America,” the protesters in Jalalabad demanded that the U.S. soldier accused of killing the civilians – including nine children – face a public trial, in Afghanistan.

The protesters also called for American troops to leave Afghanistan now, describing them as tyrants and crusaders.

The Taliban, meanwhile, issued another threat to the U.S. forces in Afghanistan on Tuesday.

In a statement the insurgent group warned they would, “kill and behead your sadistic and murderous soldiers,” in revenge for the Kandahar shootings.

This is the Taliban, right?  Calling our soldiers ‘sadistic and murderous’?  Y’know…if it were so serious, it would be down right funny coming from the most SADISTIC and MURDEROUS animals on the face of the planet!  Yeah…a guy went a bit nuts over there.  I’m surprised more don’t go off the deep end after they hands tied by our own government, and seeing body parts of children on a regular basis.

If the Obama administration hands this, or any other American, over to these pigs, then they are no better than the filth they are ‘negotiating’ with, and should be tried for any number of crimes….the list is long of the crimes they have committed against the American people.

A US soldier in Afghanistan has killed at least 16 civilians and wounded five after entering their homes in Kandahar province, senior local officials say.

He left his military base in the early hours of the morning and opened fire in at least two homes; women and children were among the dead.

Nato said it was investigating the “deeply regrettable incident”.

Anti-US sentiment is already high in Afghanistan after US soldiers burnt copies of the Koran last month.

US officials have apologised repeatedly for the incident at a Nato base in Kabul, but they failed to quell a series of protests and attacks that killed at least 30 people and six US troops.

Yep…I really should feel bad about this incident, but right now, I just don’t.  I’m sorry kids were killed, but then, there were children murdered on 9/11, and many more since then.  What is truly regrettable is the fact we still have troops in that 7th century, backwood country.  What is even more regrettable is the numerous apologies for doing something those people do all the time….trash their so called ‘holy book’.

Local people have reportedly gathered near the base in Panjwai district to protest about Sunday’s killings, and the US embassy is advising against travel to the area.

Lt Gen Adrian Bradshaw, deputy commander of Nato-led forces, said he was unable to “explain the motivation behind such callous acts”, adding that “our thoughts and prayers are with those caught in this tragedy”.

I’m still waiting for the apologies to the families of the U.S. and NATO personnel that were murdered by the Afghans over the burning incident. Haven’t heard that yet, have we? Did I miss it? Has that so called CiC made any effort to reach out to their families? Or, is it just the ‘sluts’ of the Dem party that get support from that fake?

I don’t know why the soldier went off on the ‘civilians’. It’s regrettable that any of our men and women in uniform have to suffer from so much internal pain caused, in large part, by the lack of back up from their own government. Remove our troops, and bomb the SOBs back into their caves. Not a one of them deserve the treasure we have spent to free them from the oppressive Islamic regime. Two American soldiers were killed Thursday in a shooting by an Afghan soldier and a literacy teacher at a joint base in southern Afghanistan, officials said, the latest in a series of deaths as anti-Americanism rises following the burning of Korans by U.S. soldiers.

Both were killed on the same day that the top NATO commander allowed a small number of foreign advisers to return to work at Afghan ministries after more than a week of being locked down in secure locations because of the killing of two other Americans.

Thursday’s killings raised to six the number of Americans killed in less than two weeks amid heightened tensions over the Feb. 20 burning of Korans and other Islamic texts that had been dumped in a garbage pit at Bagram Air Field near Kabul. More than 30 Afghans also were killed in six days of violent riots that broke out after the incident.

Wait a minute. I thought D’Bama said his apology got everything calmed down. So, I’m guessing the 6 dead Americans isn’t true? I’m sure their families will be quite happy to know that Barack Hussein Obama is in charge, and all is well, including their dead loved ones.

Demonstrations against the desecration have continued for a third day across northern and eastern Afghanistan.

Two US soldiers and two Afghans were killed in an attack on a military base. Elsewhere there were four other deaths.

On Wednesday, another seven people were killed and dozens injured in protests.

Mr Obama’s letter, delivered by the US ambassador to Afghanistan, assured the Afghan president that US authorities would question all those responsible.

“I convey my deep sympathies and ask you and the people to accept my deep apologies,” the letter said.

“The error was inadvertent; I assure you that we will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, to include holding accountable those responsible,” it continued.

President Karzai told members of the Afghan parliament that a US officer was responsible for the burning.

But he said it was done out of “ignorance”.

“Deep apologies“?  F U and the horse you rode in on, you low life, scum sucking, son of a bitch!

The only ignorance I see is a U.S. president apologizing to a bunch of 7th century followers of a murderous pedophile!  When is Obama going to apologize to the American people for turning our country into a bunch of whining wimps?  When will he apologize to our brave men and women for putting them in more danger by his BS??  Where is the outrage and apologies to the Christian communities, world wide, for lack of action to protect the innocent?

A French photojournalist and an American working for a British newspaper were killed Wednesday by Syrian government shelling of the opposition stronghold of Homs, France’s government said.

Activists said at least two other Western journalists were injured in barrages that claimed at least 19 lives.

We all know that Assad, Nancy Pelosi’s buddy, is a dictator, and should be removed.  Actually, any and ALL dick-taters should be removed.  But here’s a real important question:  What will fill that void left by the removal of said bad guy?  Cuz “nature abhors a vacuum“.

In Paris, French government spokeswoman Valerie Pecresse said those killed were French photojournalist Remi Ochlik and American veteran war reporter Marie Colvin, who was working for Britain’s Sunday Times. France’s Foreign Minister, Alain Juppe, said the attacks show the “increasingly intolerable repression” by Syrian forces.

Such beings do not like having their power to control taken away, so they will kill anyone in their way, including journalists, no matter from where they hail.  Silencing the truth is the first step of any would be dick-tater.

The Obama administration opened the door slightly Tuesday to international military assistance for Syria’s rebels, with officials saying new tactics may have to be explored if President Bashar Assad continues to defy pressure to halt a brutal crackdown on dissenters that has raged for 11 months and killed thousands.

IF…and that’s a big IF….the ‘rebels’ were actually fighting to overthrow Assad’s regime in the quest for freedom, I could actually see a bit of help going to those who are fighting and dying for liberty.

The White House and State Department said they still hope for a political solution. But faced with the daily onslaught by the Assad regime against Syrian civilians, officials dropped the administration’s previous strident opposition to arming anti-regime forces. It remained unclear, though, what, if any, role the U.S. might play in providing such aid.

But here’s the problem with that idea: “Elements of al-Qaeda’s affiliates in Iraq have been moving into Syria to distribute weapons to the opposition and to carry out attacks against the regime of Bashar al-Assad, according to U.S. and Iraqi officials.” (source)  Now, I don’t know about y’all, but I have a HUGE problem with the U.S. gubmint aiding and abetting terrorists.  And that’s what they are y’know.  Terrorists!   For the purpose of creating terror in the lives of the innocent, typically NON muslim, but also those who aren’t ‘muslim enough’.

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon accused the Syrian regime of committing “almost certain” crimes against humanity Thursday as activists reported fresh violence and the arrest of several prominent dissidents, including a U.S.-born blogger.

Speaking to reporters in Vienna, Ban demanded the Syrian regime stop using indiscriminate force against civilians caught up in fighting between government troops and President Bashar Assad’s opponents.

“We see neighborhoods shelled indiscriminately,” Ban told reporters in Vienna. “Hospitals used as torture centers. Children as young as ten years old jailed and abused. We see almost certain crimes against humanity.”

“Possible”?  Gee…ya think?  Of course, for the UN to admit to any possible ‘crimes against humanity’ in the Middles East, other than Israel of course, is practically a miracle!  Of course, I’m sure, than once the oh so peaceful folks of al Qaeda step in, all with be well.

Fifty-five explosions rocked the city of Homs, Syria, in the span of 15 minutes. Artillery and automatic gunfire pound neighborhoods. Snipers perch on rooftops, firing at civilians. Families crowd in makeshift basement shelters to avoid the violence, and the military is reportedly on a campaign to flatten every single neighborhood where opposition can be found. This is the state of play under Bashar al-Assad’s regime of terror, and those who stand against him have died by the thousands in an 11-month revolt against the government. Amid these horrid conditions, there are actions the United States can and should take to help bring aid to this suffering people.

The explicit details of the conditions in Homs come from the eyewitness account of CNN correspondent Arwa Damon, one of the few reporters in Syria. “You can just imagine the situation people are under,” she reports, “not just from a dangerous standpoint, but the psychological impact that this is having on these families, these civilians, who are stuck in these areas unable to get to safe ground or unable to get adequate medical treatment should they be hit in these attacks.” The violence has taken its toll. To date, the regime has killed more than 7,000 people, most of whom were unarmed demonstrators, has jailed more than 10,000, and “disappeared” thousands more. Yet opposition to Assad continues in the face of escalating attacks, with some indications that the military is losing ground as the army loses thousands of defectors.

As the suffering continues, the international community has done precious little to halt the violence. The Arab League sent an observer mission to Syria but withdrew when the Assad regime failed to keep commitments to halt its repression. The United Nations has been ineffectual, with Russia repeatedly vetoing efforts by the Security Council to take action. China, which also vetoed U.N. action, is sending a diplomat to Syria but opposes regime change. And today, the U.N. is scheduled to vote on a resolution to strongly condemn the human rights violations and to back an Arab League plan to end the conflict, but the action would be non-binding, merely sending a message to the Assad regime, with no teeth attached.

Yesterday, Assad called for a national vote on a new constitution that would create a multiparty system in the country, but it’s too little, too late from the man whose family has ruled the country as an autocracy for 40 years — not to mention the fact that Assad has a long track record of breaking his promises to usher in reforms. Case in point: despite the call for a referendum, forces today began an attack on the city of Daraa. Assad’s belated concessions now are likely to have little effect in stemming the rising tide of opposition, but has been embraced by his close ally Russia, which continues to insist that he is open to political compromise.

The Heritage Foundation’s James Phillips writes that the Assad regime is on borrowed time — the vast majority of the Syrian military, though hundreds of thousands strong, is becoming increasingly unreliable. The government has only two dependable units — the Republican Guards and the 4th Armored Brigade, both of which are being stretch thin. In short, the beleaguered tyrant is slowly losing his grip on power all while the Free Syrian Army, consisting mostly of military deserters, is becoming a more organized opposition force. Desperate, the Syrian government has turned to Iran, and there are reports that the Quds Force, a special unit of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, are fighting beside Assad’s forces.

Amid this environment, Phillips warns that the United States should not supply arms to the resistance or offer direct military intervention — an outside peacekeeping force would only get caught in the conflict and make matters worse. However, he advises that the United States can offer valuable assistance:

The U.S. can play a constructive role in the conflict by supporting efforts to deliver humanitarian aid. The U.S. should also be working closely with regional partners, especially Turkey, both to help speed the transition to a new, legitimate government and to continue diplomatic pressure and international sanctions against the Assad regime.

Ultimately, the best way forward will be for the Syrian people to win their own future without direct foreign intervention. It is with great valor that they continue to fight against Assad and to weather the storm of his violent oppression in hopes of a better tomorrow. When the smoke lifts, one can only hope that the cloud of terror and death goes with it, and that a government with true legitimacy is formed.

Iranian Envoy to Kabul Fada Hossein Maleki underlined the US and its allies’ continued failures in the region, and said they have lost their reputation among the regional states.

Maleki pointed to the complication of the security situation in the region and the failure of the US policies, and added that Washington and its allies have sustained heavy damages and lost their political prestige among regional countries.

He emphasized that covert talks between the US and Taliban and the opening of an office for the militant group in Doha, Qatar, with Washington’s financial and political support show a stalemate in the West’s strategy.

The Pakistani media revealed in January that the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has removed the name of Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar from the list of “most wanted terrorists.”

An act of cowardice!

The report came following Washington’s secret meetings with the Taliban after one decade of war. US officials have held several meetings with representatives of the Afghan Taliban leader, headed by Tayyib Agha, in Germany and Qatar over the past months.

During the meetings, the US and Taliban negotiators reached a deal to transfer five Taliban militants, who are under custody in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, to Qatar. The removal of Mullah Omar’s name from the terror list comes after the prisoner deal.

Honestly, I’m so angry right now, I can’t even think straight! Obama and his weasels MUST GO!  How dare them give OUR money to the very same people who aided the trash who murdered 3000 human beings on 9/11.

Israel says time is running out and Leon Panetta says Israel could attack Iran as early as April. As all this unfolds the Obama administration cautions our greatest ally Israel rather than Iran.

Just days after 9/11 on September 13, 2001, then-Senator Hillary Clinton stated during an interview on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather,

“Every nation has to either be with us, or against us.  Those who harbor terrorists, or who finance them, are going to pay a price.”

President George W. Bush elaborated those words on September 20, 2001; during an address to a joint session of Congress,

“Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.”

Bush went a little further and in simple terms explained what he meant,

“They want to overthrow existing governments in many Muslim countries, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. They want to drive Israel out of the Middle East. They want to drive Christians and Jews out of vast regions of Asia and Africa.”

During his State of the Union address on January 29, 2002, Bush named terrorist groups,

“Our military has put the terror training camps of Afghanistan out of business, yet camps still exist in at least a dozen countries. A terrorist underworld — including groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Jaish-i-Mohammed — operates in remote jungles and deserts, and hides in the centers of large cities.”

Three out of four of the groups he named, Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad all have one thing in common. They are all funded, supplied and trained by Iran.

Failure to recognize the danger that Iran poses to both Israel and the United States is one of those things that Obama and his administration are quite good at, either by design, or total ignorance.  I don’t think it’s ignorance.  He professes to be a ‘Christian’, but all of his actions are anti-Christian.  True Christians will stand WITH Israel against her enemies, and what greater enemy than one who has declared the intent to totally destroy her.

Now, I won’t swear to it, but I’m fairly sure this is an accurate description of the land given to the Hebrews. I’m pretty sure the Arabs know this, but don’t much like the idea. There are a lot of squatters in land that was given to them, way back when. The Sea of Philistia, if I’m not mistaken, is what we call the Mediterranean. The Sea of Reeds, well, that would be the Red Sea as stated in the Old Testament.

Even back then, it really wasn’t a huge plot of land, but compared to what they have today, well, it was HUGE.

All Israel wants is to live in peace, to protect her people, and defend herself against her enemies. I don’t think that is asking too much.  She is surrounded by enemies.  Little Big Horn comes to mind.

As a Christian nation, we are obliged to stand with her, not with her enemies. Thanks to Obama and his cronies, liberals who have done their best to remove God from all aspects of our lives, we are no longer a blessed nation. The current government has turned its back on our closet ally in the area. Unless we turn our faces back to God, we will be a nation ‘gone under’.  Israel doesn’t need our permission to do a darn thing.  She doesn’t need the backing of the United Nations.  She has the backing of a MUCH greater Power!

Thousands are dead in Syria, with more blood spilled each day. Iran is within arm’s reach of a nuclear weapon, threatening Israel’s very existence. And in Egypt, 19 Americans are banned from leaving the country, making them veritable hostages in an unfriendly land. All indications are that the Middle East is crumbling, and President Barack Obama’s foreign policy is collapsing right along with it.

First look toward Homs, Syria — ground zero in the 11-month-old uprising against the brutal government of Bashar al-Assad, which is unleashing death upon its people minute by minute and hour by hour. The United Nations estimates that Assad’s regime has killed more than 5,000 anti-government protesters in the last 11 months, with 200 killed on Friday night alone. The Arab League has stationed observers in country, whose mission was to oversee compliance with a peace plan. That failed.

The Obama Administration rushed to the United Nations Security Council and attempted to pass a resolution calling for Assad to step aside. Predictably, China and Russia laid down a veto. On Monday, the United States finally closed the doors to its embassy in Damascus and withdrew the diplomatic staff over continuing security concerns. Meanwhile, intelligence experts are examining the risk of terrorists gaining control of Syria’s weapons stockpiles should the Assad regime fall.

To the east in Iran, the regime’s full-steam-ahead pursuit of nuclear weapons is reaching a crescendo, with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta recently remarking that the country could build a bomb within one year and have the means for delivering it one or two years later.

Finally, in Egypt, officials there published a list of 43 people, including 19 Americans, accused of interfering in Egypt’s internal politics. They are not allowed to leave the country and could soon be brought to trial on claims that they illegally funded political groups in Egypt’s parliamentary elections. Heritage’s James Phillips explains that “they have become hostages in a much larger struggle: the struggle for freedom in Egypt against an unholy alliance between Egypt’s transitional military government and the Islamist political parties who will soon assume power.”

President Obama and members of his Cabinet tried to reach Egyptian leaders on the matter, but in the words of Lorne Craner, head of the pro-democracy organization IRI, “things are getting worse . . . We are all scratching our heads over here. I did two tours at State and one at the [National Security Council]. If the president called someone, something gets worked out.” But as was the case under President Jimmy Carter, the White House appears helpless while Americans are held captive.

None of these crises occurs in a vacuum — except for the vacuum of a cogent U.S. strategy for dealing with these ever-worsening conditions. Since President Obama took office, he has pursued a diplomatic strategy of charm and restraint: attempting to broker peace between Israel and Palestine, engaging with Syria and Iran, and withdrawing from Iraq. Now we are seeing the results.

The international rogue that is Iran continues to rise, along with its threat to the world. Thousands are dead in Syria under a brutal dictator while the international community is serving up effete condemnations. America’s ally Israel appears ready to take matters into its own hands in order to ensure its survival, while prospects for peace with Palestine remain dim. U.S. citizens are trapped in Egypt as anti-Western Islamists seek to consolidate their power. And Iraq’s once-peaceful prospects have been marred by one terrorist attack after another after America’s military forces departed.  Obama has failed at every turn to safeguard U.S. interests in the region or take effective proactive initiatives to deal with threat of rising extremism and spiraling violence that could lead to regional conflict.

There are actions the United States can and should take. Phillips explains that in Syria,  “the best assistance that the United States can give to ease the suffering of Syrians is to help speed the fall of the Assad regime.” And it can do it by working with European allies, Turkey, and Arab states to escalate sanctions, provide humanitarian relief to refugees, and provide diplomatic and economic support for the Syrian opposition — while holding back from military intervention.

To address Israel and Iran, Phillips and James Carafano advise that the United States must have a clear and unambiguous policy that it will protect itself and its interests.

As for Egypt, Phillips writes that America should “freeze U.S. foreign aid to Cairo and give Egypt’s new leaders an ultimatum: free the American hostages or permanently lose U.S. foreign aid and any American help in refinancing Egypt’s burdensome national debt.”

More broadly, President Obama must fundamentally change course toward the Middle East. His policy of engagement has not worked, and the world is seeing the results. The Middle East is crumbling, and an ineffectual and inert Obama Administration is leading from behind with a foreign policy that has entirely failed to cope with the rapidly devolving conditions along the Mediterranean’s southeastern shores and beyond, with consequences reaching around the world.
