A Statement On Our Society
I was reading a couple of items on the CNN site, when I noticed something on the side.
Most popular news stories right now?
The news of Sandra Bullock’s family problems overshadows the evil perpetrated by the Taliban on Afghan women?
What does this say about us? Or is it just that CNN readers/viewers are so freakin’ shallow, that they don’t give a damn what happens to Muslim women, all around the world (including right here in the U.S.), but seeing a conservative leaning Hollywood type’s marriage hit the skids tops their list of must have information?
Yeah. I’m disgusted! Disgusted that so many women in this country have decided baby murder is ok! Disgusted that so called “women’s groups” speak ONLY for lib>progressive>socialist>commie women. Disgusted at the deafening silence over such abuse of women goes on daily! Disgusted! Period!

Another day, another no-show for the Obamacare reconciliation bill. House Democrats were quick to shift blame to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) with Rep. Robert Andrews telling The Hill that the delay “has been much more technical than substantive. … It’s not like what tax has to go or what spending has to go.” Which is an interesting claim, since Politico reported that AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka was summoned to the White House yesterday afternoon “to discuss a higher-than-expected excise tax on some health care plans.” In fact, Politico added: “A labor source said Trumka’s meeting would focus on the entire bill, not just the excise tax question.” Sounds like more than just technical details are still in flux.

On 27 February 2009, thousands all across the country gathered together to protest what was being seen as a violation of the U.S. Constitution, massive spending, and a major decline of our liberties. The coverage of such rallies was spotty at best, and none existent in most cases. Even CNN’s Howard Kurtz admits the lack on the part of the media to cover the TEA Parties. But when it comes the leaning far left group, Coffee Party, well now, that’s a whole ‘nuther kettle of fish, isn’t it. Wow. People who have never been involved in the political process before, who were made fun of barely a year ago, called “astroturf”, and a few names that shouldn’t be repeated in polite company, on that same cable “news” network, are now hailing people who have never been involved in the political process is now being promoted. Uh huh.
This new group calls for civility, objects to obstructionism and demands that politicians be held accountable to the people who put them in office.
Not one arrest at the TEA Parties, except for attacking leftists/SEIU/union thugs, egged on by Obama’s own words, yet the implication is that TEA Partiers have not been civil. Got it. Naturally, the SEIU lied about the incident, but did the media cover that part? Good thing people make use of the video feature of their cells phones, isn’t it. It use to be a “picture is worth a thousand words”. Now, it’s a “video will take you DOWN”.
Kind of a shame that all the videos of Obama showing his true colors, red/purple/yellow, didn’t dissuade the clueless. If they had, perhaps there wouldn’t have been a need for all the Tea Parties? Naw….we’d still see the need because McLame, while not quite as bad, would still have overseen to the expansion of the federal government.

Rep. Dan Burton, Indiana Republican, and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, California Republican, yesterday renewed a call for charges to be dropped against three Navy SEALs charged with the unspeakable crime of roughing up a terrorist.
The charges grew from circumstances surrounding the capture of Ahmed Hashim Abed, a terrorist mastermind who organized the killing, burning and mutilating of four American contractors in Fallujah, Iraq, in March 2004. Insurgents strung up the blackened remains on a box-girder bridge over the Euphrates River, a grisly event that made global headlines. Abed was brought in by the SEALs in September 2009.
Abed told Iraqi authorities that Special Operations Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew McCabe punched him in the gut. That sailor is charged with unlawfully striking Abed “in the midsection with his fist” and with lying to a Naval Criminal Investigative Service officer about the incident. Petty Officers Julio Huertas and Jonathan Keefe are charged with impeding the investigation and dereliction of duty in failing to safeguard a detainee. Trials for these two sailors are set to begin in Iraq in April, and Petty Officer 2nd Class McCabe will be tried in Norfolk in May.
The piece of crap is a terrorist. He murders. No evidence to support his claims of being ‘roughed up’. Yet some government official has that balls to CHARGE the heroes that brought him in?

Israel is facing uncomfortable questions regarding senior Hamas military commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, who was found dead in a Dubai hotel room on Jan. 20. Dubai police say al-Mabhouh was assassinated, but in his chosen profession, his fate really was the result of workplace-related injuries.
Heh. I like that. “Workplace related injuries.”

1. a member of a secret terrorist sect of Muslims of the 11th-13th cent., who killed their political enemies as a religious duty, allegedly while under the influence of hashish
2. a murderer who strikes suddenly and by surprise: now generally used of the killer of a politically important or prominent person
Plus, a little history on the word and it’s origins here.
There certainly is no reason to mourn al-Mabhouh, a longtime terrorist with a track record including arms smuggling, kidnapping and murder. Most recently, he was suspected of being a primary link between Hamas and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, both of which the United States identifies as terrorist organizations. Al-Mabhouh had survived several assassination attempts, but this time his luck ran out. Fortunes of war.
As a Christian, should I morn the loss of a murderer? Actually, I am instructed, basically, to morn the loss of his soul, because I’ve no doubt, there is much innocent blood, shed by his hand, crying out for justice. And justice is exactly what he will receive. He was sent to his maker, who IMHO, is not the same as his Creator.
The open season on terrorists is not limited to Israel. Russia has ruthlessly and effectively hunted Chechen terrorist leaders at home and abroad, such as killing rebel leader Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev in Doha, Qatar, in February 2004. In 2008, Colombia sent a team into neighboring Ecuador that took out Raul Reyes, deputy commander of the anti-government FARC guerrillas.
Terrorists are murderers. Without compunction, they slaughter innocent men, women, and children. These actions are not limited to Muslims, but they sure are at the top of the list.
The United States is the global leader in what is euphemistically called “targeted killing.” Manned and unmanned aircraft have rained death on terrorists in (at least) Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen. In his Valentine’s Day interview on “Meet the Press,” Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. bragged that the Obama administration is pursuing terrorists “with a vigor like it’s never been seen before. We’ve eliminated 12 of their top 20 people. We have taken out 100 of their associates. . . We’ve sent them underground. They are, in fact, not able to do anything remotely like they were in the past. They are on the run.”
If, on the other hand, we had been allowed to take them out, one by one, many innocent lives could have been saved. Not to mention the numerical cost. One bullet, a really good sniper….BAM! Problem solved!
Some argue that it is useless to target terrorist leaders because there is always another waiting in the wings. Experience, however, has demonstrated that there are substantial benefits in taking out leaders. It disrupts networks, hampers operations and may deter others considering careers as violent extremists. The effects can be dramatic. When Abu Musab Zarqawi was liquidated by an air strike in June 2006, it was the beginning of the end for al Qaeda in Iraq.
Useless? That’s about the dumbest thing I’ve heard, and there have been a LOT of really stupid statements made in recent years. You want to kill the cockroaches. Do you squash one, in hopes it will make the rest of them go away? No, you keep squashing them, until each and every one of them are nothing more than a messy spot to be wiped up with a paper towel. In the meantime, you do NOT stomp on your pet’s head while taking out the roaches! Take out the head, every time it pops up, no matter where it is! You set off a bug bomb in your house, are you going to leave your critters in there? Of course not! Same with this scum. Don’t kill the innocent. Slaughter the evil!
Whoever was behind al-Mabhouh’s killing may draw some lessons about tradecraft and covering their tracks more effectively. But they successfully eliminated an important terrorist and threat to peace, and for that they deserve thanks.

Obama to Seek Curbs on Insurance Hikes
Seeking to revive his stalled health-care legislation, President Barack Obama is proposing a new idea to address health costs, giving the federal government authority to block insurers from making premium rate increases.
Whoa! Hold on there Skippy! Where do you get off telling private companies what they can, and cannot do? Where in the Constitution does it state you have this authority?
The move raises the ante after two weeks of presidential bashing of rate increases including WellPoint Inc.’s decision to raise premiums for some California customers by as much as 39%. WellPoint has defended its price increase as unavoidable in light of rising health costs.
California. The land of fruits, nuts, flakes and socialists! Perhaps insurance companies wouldn’t have to keep increasing their rate if someone stepped back, and took a good hard look at the REAL problems that are plaguing the industry, eh?
Administration officials have said Monday’s proposal would be an effort to bridge the differences between the health bills passed by the House and the Senate last year. The idea for new federal authority on premiums wasn’t in either bill, and is likely to generate opposition from Republicans arguing that it would give too much power to the federal government.
We don’t need any more freakin’ federal authorities! Just the opposite! We NEED to get RID of a great many of those ‘authorities’ we already have screwing up our lives. If it ain’t in the Constitution, back the **** off!
The Democratic health bills already envision some role for the government to control premium costs, through new exchanges where individuals and small businesses could buy insurance. One version would prevent any insurer that raised rates beyond a level that the government deemed unfair from selling policies in the exchange.
Why don’t the Democrats come clean, and just change the name of their party to the Democratic Socialists?
A new seven-member Health Insurance Rate Authority, made up of industry experts, consumer representatives, a physician and others, would issue an annual report laying out what it viewed as reasonable rate increases. Those considered unjustified could be blocked by a federal board. Customers might even qualify for rebates.
More government employees, with a nice fat salary and all the benefits, at the taxpayers expense, picking and choosing, depending on which company donated the most to the commies? I don’t freakin’ think so!
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) said on “Fox News Sunday” that Republicans intended to take part in Thursday’s televised summit, and he reiterated his call for Mr. Obama to scrap the Democrats’ bill. “The American people do not want this bill to pass,” he said.
I’d venture to guess that anyone with an “R” behind their name who attends Obumbler’s fiasco will find themselves in a real tough re-election. Grow a pair ya weasels! Do what is RIGHT for the people, not for that joke of a president and his cronies!
Hmmm… can ya tell I’m a tad annoyed?

The American blogosphere is going increasingly “viral” about a proposal advanced at the recent meeting of the Davos Economic Forum by Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer for Microsoft, that an equivalent of a “driver’s licence” should be introduced for access to the web. This totalitarian call has been backed by articles and blogs in Time magazine and the New York Times.
As bloggers have not been slow to point out, the system being proposed is very similar to one that the government of Red China reluctantly abandoned as too repressive. It was inevitable that, sooner or later, the usual unholy alliance of government totalitarians and big business would attempt to end the democratic free-for-all that is the blogosphere. The United Nations is showing similar interest in moving to eliminate free speech.

When I made this post on Wednesday, I failed to do a little more reading, and I really should have, because I missed a couple of really important articles that were connected, and now I’m even angrier than I’ve been since I found out about Matt’s murder, if that’s possible.
Defense case: Toste slaying was justified
A lawyer for a Santa Rosa man on trial for the slaying of Matthew Toste in a downtown parking garage more than three years ago conceded Wednesday his client did the shooting, but insisted it wasn’t murder.
Rather, defendant Joseph Lopez Jr. thought Toste had shot his father during a scuffle between the two in which Toste knocked the father to the ground, said George Boisseau, the younger Lopez’s lawyer.
WHAT????? What a total load of male bovine excrement! I realize that lawyer’s are suppose to give their clients the best defense possible, but this is so much garbage, I can’t even imagine even a bottom feeder with a law degree trying to pull off such a tactic.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Spencer Brady said Toste, a 32-year-old construction worker, his date, a female cousin and her husband had just parked their car and were walking through the garage to a nearby nightclub when they were confronted by a group of at least six men.
The men, later identified as members of the Norteño criminal street gang, made catcalls and whistled and touched one of the women on the buttocks, Brady said.
When Toste objected, the men surrounded him and began taunting him. “They were saying, ‘Hey whiteboy. What are you going to do?’” Brady told jurors.
Not only was this MURDER, but it was also a racially motivated MURDER!
Juror intimidation charged in Toste murder case
The uncle of a Santa Rosa man on trial for murder pleaded not guilty Thursday to a charge of felony juror intimidation.
George Lopez, 36, the uncle of Joseph Lopez Jr. — charged in the 2006 slaying of Matthew Toste — is free on $60,000 bail for the incident that prosecutors said happened Feb.1.

Lopez is the brother of former co-defendant Joseph Lopez Sr. and the uncle of Lopez Jr. His criminal history in Sonoma County includes a conviction for felony assault in 1997 and a felony drug conviction from 1999. He has been sentenced to prison twice.
On Thursday, Lopez requested a public defender. He told the judge he was unemployed and had no money. Chouteau asked him how he raised bail and he said: “I don’t know. Somebody bailed me out.”
Bail or bond? Since the judge is under a gag order, obviously, only the parties involved know the details, but I’m not real sure why bail was set. This is obviously not an upstanding citizen of the community. Even if bond was posted, $6,000 is quite a chunk of change for someone with no job. And not knowing who posted it? Give me a freakin’ break! I pray the jury will be safe, and the scum that tore a hole in Sally’s family will pay dearly!

Livestock is being shot for cheap thrills
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate a string of livestock shootings. According to reports, Ronnie Johnson of xxxx County Home Road told officers somebody had shot two of his horses during the night of Jan.29.
Johnson said he believed the first horse, a Belgian mare, died from a gun shot wound to the chest and said the second, a spotted Belgian colt, suffered a similar injury to the neck.

J.P. Crotts of xxxx County Home Road reported his pregnant Black Angus cow shot earlier the same morning. At the scene, officers spoke with Kenny Talley of xx Covery Chapel Road and Eddie Milan of xx Covery Chapel Road who both said they noticed one of Crott’s cattle down as they drove by the previous night.
Then on Jan.31, T.F. Rich of xxx Moore Road also reported two of his donkeys shot after he said a neighbor saw a pckup truck pull up at 3:30am earlier the same day and fire twice.
According to Rich, officer and the owners of the slain animals found .30-06 casings at each of the three shootings.
While Rich says Crotts’ cow suffered a gunshot wound between the eyes, both of his donkey died from shots to the neck.
What kind of garbage goes around, shooting animals, just for the ‘fun of it’???? For many people around here, these animals are their livelihood! I honestly pray they find the scum buckets, and shove them UNDER the jail!

Toste murder trial begins with dramatic 911 tape
Emergency dispatch tapes played for jurors Wednesday revealed a frantic woman calling for an ambulance as her date lay dying in a downtown Santa Rosa parking garage.

“We need an ambulance . . . he was trying to protect us,” Griffin said on the tape. “He’s dying. He’s almost dead.”

The jury of nine women and three men listened to prosecutor Spencer Brady lay out the case in an hour-long presentation that relied on 911 recordings, video and dozens of still pictures, including shots of Toste’s body with bullet entry wounds in the chest and side.
Dear God! I cannot imagine the pain that Sally, Cathy, Thad and the others must have felt seeing those pictures. It breaks my heart, after all the pain they have been through over the last 3 years, that they have to relive the horror, it’s incomprehensible.

Two weeks ago, on a near party line vote, a huge Democratic majority in the House agreed to spend $50 million to buy the former cotton plantation on the island of St. Croix.

The mixture of dry forest and rangeland offers picturesque views of the Caribbean Sea, but good luck getting there. Critics in Congress say the purchase is wasteful and irresponsible, especially with unemployment at 10 percent and the nation in debt.
“Now is not the time to spend up to $50 million dollars of the taxpayers’ money to buy nearly 3,000 acres of beachfront property on a Caribbean Island,” said Rep. Doc Hastings, (R-Wash.), ranking Republican on the House Natural Resources Committee. “We can’t afford a price tag for a new park in St Croix, just as many Americans will never be able to afford a visit there.”
Democrats approved the purchase, even though the National Park Service has yet to complete a study on the purchase.
“We don’t have the money to do this,” said Rep Jason Chaffetz, (R – Utah). “Currently the National Park Service has an estimated $9 billion in backlog maintenance on existing parks. Why should the people of Iowa, Rhode Island or California or Utah have to continue to pay and supplement the people there on St Croix for this property?”
I am dumbfounded! Literally….dumbfounded! The audacity of these …….people…. I am completely at a loss for words! There aren’t enough appropriate four lettered words to express my outrage if I was even able to get them out!

2008 flashback: ACORN graded Coakley A+
Mass Resistance has dug up an interesting press release in Democrat Attorney General Martha Coakley’s political past. In 2008 Ms. Coakley sent out an endearing press release praising the now scandal embroiled ACORN.:
“I am honored to have received this recognition from ACORN,” said Attorney General Coakley. “As our office continues to fight predatory lending practices, it is important for local, state, and federal officials, as well as others to work together to try and provide relief and real solutions to individuals who face the threat of foreclosure.”
Ms. Coakley is the top law enforcer of Massachusetts, and her support of ACORN’s practices makes one wonder where her ethical compass actually rests in matters of how she handled the licensing of non-profits in her state as well as being responsible for the reporting and financial disclosures of those groups.
ACORN supporting this woman, in any capacity, speaks volumes about her character, or lack thereof!
Should Unions Be Dictating The Health Care Debate?
Tentative deal reached on health insurance tax
The White House reached a tentative agreement with union leaders early Thursday to tax high-cost insurance plans, officials said, removing one of the major stumbling blocks in the way of a final compromise on comprehensive health care legislation sought by President Barack Obama.
Here is an obvious question that should be asked: What the hell are the unions doing negotiating agreements on HEALTH CARE?? It is NONE of their freakin’ business to be butting into anything coming out of D.C. They have absolutely NO say in how people get health care, pay their insurance premiums, or whether or not they even HAVE insurance. NONE! ZIP! ZILCH!
Under the tentative compromise, a family’s health insurance plan would be subject to a hefty 40 percent tax if it costs over $24,000 per year, an increase from the $23,000 annual threshold in a previous version of the legislation. The cost of dental and vision care would be subtracted from the calculation yielding the total cost of a family’s plan.
Where, pray tell, does it say in the Constitution that the U.S. government has the right to dictate to their BOSSES anything to do with health care, much less a socialist bunch like unions? To tax a person’s health care is reprehensible.
Additionally, union members and state and local government employees with high-end insurance plans would not have to pay the tax until 2017.
If you had any doubts about the ulterior motives of this administration, perhaps this little tidbit will snap you out of your stupor! 15% of the working population are union members. A good number of those members are forced into the union thanks, in large part, to states who do not have ‘right to work’ laws.
Union officials are also pushing to provide that anyone who makes $200,000 or less would be excluded from the health plan benefits tax, a concession that would also benefit employees who are not unionized.
For anyone to be TAXED on their health benefits, no matter how much they earn, is insanity! Pure and simple. It is NOT the job of the government to provide health care for anyone! It is NONE of the union’s business who gets what, when, or for how much.
To say I’m angry right now, would be a massive understatement!

Former Chief U.N. Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter Nabbed in Teen Sex Sting
Former chief United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter was arrested in a Pennsylvania sex sting in November on a litany of charges involving a lewd Internet conversation with a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl.
Ritter, 48, allegedly masturbated in front of a Web camera while he was engaged in conversation in an Internet chat room with an undercover cop posing as the teenage girl.
I won’t be posting any of the rest of the article. Needless to say, it gets pretty graphic. I have to ask….what is it with the UN and pervs?
