Glenn Beck Answers Mormon Myths 9/6/12
As an evangelical, I have no problem voting for a Mormon, anymore than I’d have a problem voting for a Catholic or a Jew. Now a Muslim? Yeah… I’d have a SERIOUS problem, but other than that… After learning more about Mormonism, and having many of the myths, promoted by the media over the last few years, I have even less of a problem voting for Mitt Romney!
Accurate information is a good thing. Now, I don’t take Glenn’s word for everything. I actually look things up for myself. I’d suggest others do the same. Get the facts! Do I agree with all their doctrine? Paleeeez! I don’t agree with a lot of the doctrines of my own church. Heh! Faith is based on the Word of God….not the whims of man!
As for Romney, he holds more of the same values as I do….Obama hold NONE of the same values. It’s that simple! I believe in life, liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness. I believe our rights come from God…not the government, which is made up of very imperfect humans. I believe this country has been taken on a magic carpet ride that must end…either with our destruction, or with our rebirth as a republic. I vote for our rebirth.
And yes, there is a bit of Glenn’s snark inserted. Deal with it!
Golly Gee! Ain’t I Shocked?
Umm…that would be a big fat NO! Obama’s lapdogs once again proves why the public doesn’t trust them.
Unaired And Unedited: Paul Ryan Responds To Democrats’ Charges He Lied During RNC Speech
This is huge. Brian Williams, the anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News, interviewed Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan after his RNC speech to rebut the accusations of several Democrats and so-called media “fact checkers” that his speech was full of inaccuracies and lies. The following is what never aired:
To be perfectly honest, the interview does look pretty bad for the Democrats and their mainstream media allies, given that Ryan is quicker on his feet than the political hit men being sent to take him out. But the Romney campaign knew about the interview, so there was a fair chance that the footage would see the light of day.
So now there’s not just the interview that went horribly awry for the Democrats, but the lingering question: what are you so afraid of, NBC?
What are they afraid of? Well, the truth absolutely terrifies them. They fear that their messiah will be found out to be complete phony…a ‘false god’ if you will. Paul Ryan is one of those extremely rare politician, that doesn’t behave like your typical politician. He’s actually HONEST! And that just scare the bejabbers out of the left stream media!
Mitt Romney’s Acceptance Speech
I will be the first to admit, I was none too enthusiastic about the ‘selection’ of Mitt Romney. If my memory serves, he wasn’t even my third choice. In 2008, I think he was second or third, but then again, look who they chose.
However, after the last few days of watching the convention, learning more about the man, I can well see a POTUS. A REAL one too. Is he perfect? Pfft! You show me one who has been, D or R, and I’ll call you a liar!
Some a WHOLE lot less perfect than others!
I think we just might have a chance to return to the America of our forefathers. The America that is prosperous, one WE can be proud of, once again. But it’s going to be a hard road, and there are going to be obstacles (I call them leftards) because there are going to HAVE to be tough and unpopular choices to make. I believe, if WE, all of us, can pull together, we CAN make the difference. Do we survive as the United States of America? Or will we allow those who would destroy the Dream to continue dragging us down the wrong path? For me, the choice is simple. I have a daughter, grandchildren, and a great grandson. It’s not my life that is important, but their future! I want them to know the America I grew up in. I want them to have the knowledge of where we came from, and carry that knowledge with them, so they can have a future of hope, not despair. I want YOUR children to have that hope of a brighter future too!
This IS the most important election of our lives. Let’s make the right choices for future generations!

Marco Rubio Speech at the Convention
The Not So Mystery Speaker!
Some folks thought he was just rambling. No…he was having a conversation with the ‘empty suit’…aka that chair.
Paul Ryan Speech at the Convention
…and does nothing but tell the truth!
I’ve got to add something here. Read some of the comments that have been made under the videos, YouTube site, and you’ll see why we need a major overhaul. It’s still amazing to me that with all the resources we have, literally at our fingertips, there are still so many who prefer to remain ignorant.
A Couple of Great Speeches From The Convention
Mike Huckabee did a terrific job!
Condoleeza Rice did some serious hinder kicking!!
Mia Love’s Speech at the Convention
Unfortunately, the Mr had control of the remote last night, and I missed Mia Love‘s speech. After some hunting, and a whole lot of links on Facebook, FINALLY, I’ve got it! Amazing woman! I understand that MSNBC, who cries racist on a regular basis, showed who the REAL racists are by ignoring every minority speaker at the convention, with one exception…Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina. I guess they don’t consider her a minority? I refuse to watch the hatred spewing leftards on that channel, I have to much respect for myself to be subjected to their garbage!
A Couple of More Speeches From The Convention
Artur Davis is correcting a mistake he made 4 years ago. Hope his message gets through to a LOT of others! Terrific speech, BTW!
One thing can’t be denied…Governor Christie pulls NO punches. Heh.
Wisconsin Primary….TODAY!
Walker, Ryan have upstaged little-noticed Wisconsin Senate primary
Four Republicans face off on Tuesday in a little-noticed Senate Republican primary in Wisconsin, where the race is tight and the winner unknown.
For a race that is expected to help determine which party controls the Senate, the primary to choose the Republican nominee has received little attention. First, it was put on the back burner as state Republicans rallied behind Gov. Scott Walker to help him successfully ward off a recall challenge.
Then, as the race entered its final hours, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced that Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan would be his running mate, upstaging the impending Senate primary.
Still, the race is a set to be a close one, with former Gov. Tommy Thompson, businessman Eric Hovde and former congressman Mark Neumann locked in a statistical tie, according to recent polls. Speaker of the State Assembly Jeff Fitzgerald trails behind.
Since I no longer live in Wisconsin, haven’t for more than 5 years now, you wouldn’t think that their Senate primary race would interest me. Well, it does. As do most primary races across the country. While the White House is very important. Ok, EXTREMELY important, what is even MORE important is Congress. And right now, the make up of the Senate is at the TOP of the EXTREMELY important list.
If you have been paying attention, and sadly, many do not, you’d notice that, under the so called ‘leadership’ of Harry Reid, the Senate has pretty much been collecting paychecks for doing….not a DAMN thing! The Republican controlled House passes budgets, Reid won’t even let them come to the floor for a vote. And yet, we hear on the news that it’s the Republicans who are blocking getting things done. Gotta call ‘em as I see ‘em…..the Democrats are petty liars, and would have the country believe that they are so above the fray, they can’t be bothered. Horse manure! They ARE the fray!
So, you see, the primaries ARE important. When it comes to the general election, if we don’t have strong CONSERVATIVE Republics running, and winning, then we’ll be stuck with Harry “do nothing, don’t blame me” Reid as the Senate majority leader….again! And to be honest, I do believe that man has lost what few marbles he ever had. Between him, and Pelosi, I can’t decide who is the bigger nut job windbag! Are they both suffering from Alzheimer’s??? It sure seems that way, because some of the utter crap that falls out of their mouths is just beyond comprehension. Of course, neither has an ounce of integrity, so lying comes rather easily to both.
The candidates are an interesting mix. If you don’t know who Tommy Thompson is, then you are too young, or sadly uninformed. He was the Governor of Wisconsin, who was the REAL author of welfare reform, which the Republican Congress adopted, and Clinton took credit for. IMHO, he’s not extremely conservative, but he is a well known name in Wisconsin. He was also the Secretary of Health and Human Services under W in his first term. A decent choice, if the voters choose him.
Honestly, I have no idea who Eric Hovde is, other than ‘a business man’. That tells me something about him though…..he’s NOT a politician. This could be a good thing. Don’t we have enough career politicians in D.C. as is??? We NEED people representing us who know how to balance a checkbook, who knows what makes businesses run, and who aren’t so entrenched in ‘system’ of corruption that makes up the vast majority inside the Beltway.
Mark Neumann? Honestly, I think that man is a career candidate! He was running for something or other most of the time I lived up there. This disturbs me. It says something about him. A positive, he doesn’t give up. A negative, seems he’s doing this over and over…for himself, not the people. I don’t much care for that type. BUT, he does seem to stand on the RIGHT side of most issues, so I guess he’d be ok.
And Scott Fitzgerald. sigh… Well, he’s a good guy, and has done a good job in the WI state Senate. He also survived the extremely expensive ‘recall’ election earlier this summer. (I think the unions to should pay the taxpayers every single dime they cost them for this bad joke!)
I’m just glad I don’t have to make the decision of who to vote for up there.
Apparently, some of my friends are quite divided on who they support. Whoever wins, I hope they’ll all be able to join together and support the victor…as I KNOW they will. Replacing the potted plant (aka Herb Kohl) with a strong conservative is very important, but even if the winner isn’t all most of us would hope he’d be, he BETTER remember who he works for, unlike so many who have gone to D.C. and have conveniently forgotten who pays their salary!
So, WISCONSIN…. do you civic duty! Get up off you’re hinders and go vote! And make sure you choose someone who will whup the Dems into submission.
No namby pamby, wishy washy, go along to get along! OK??????
Best Of Paul Ryan
Snagged this from The Daily Caller:
H/T: Jerry
Romney-Ryan 2012

First off….CONGRATS to Congressman Ryan, his lovely wife, and those adorable rug rats!

(I actually have my own pictures of them around here somewhere, but can’t find ‘em right now.
)
Second, when they announced Romney was going to make the announcement, finally, there was a lot of speculation going on…..on the news, all over Facebook, and likely Twitter as well. What annoys me is the speculation by the news people. Knock it off! AND….if he’s going to make the announcement at 9:05 eastern, 8:05 my time, why the blazes is it blasted all over the place? I was looking forward to the ‘SURPRISE’! *shakes head* Ok, I’m just weird that way!
Now, what do I think of this pick? Well, to be honest, I and a lot of others, would have LOVED to have seen Allen West as Romney’s running mate, but apparently, Romney had his reasons for not putting him on the short list, and that’s his prerogative. However, I honestly believe Ryan is a brilliant choice!
I know Wisconsin has needed his strong leadership, but then again, this country needs someone who would be ready and able to step into the BIG shoes of POTUS if the need ever arises. Put this mental image in your head…. “President Joe Biden”. *chibber* Talk about nightmare! UGH! Now, imagine a “President Paul Ryan”! Yes… much better, right? Let’s face it, Ryan is going to clean Biden’s clock in the debate! Heh. Yeah, he’s made a couple of mistake votes, and I’m pretty sure he regrets them, but let’s face facts here….he’s human too, and comparing his record to both Obama and Biden’s voting record…he’s darn close to perfect.
I had the privilege of meeting Congressman Ryan on several occasions while living in Wisconsin 10 LONG years. The first was standing in line at the Bush Inaugural Ball in 2005, waiting to claim our coats. I’m ashamed to admit it, but I knew I had seen his face somewhere, I just couldn’t figure out where. We stood there and chatted for a while about nothing in particular. He and his wife were very friendly…. just like ‘real people’! It wasn’t till I got back to my motel room that it his me! Yeah…I’m a little slow! SHADDUP!
Then there were the various political events I ran into them, and I’ll be darned…they were still REAL PEOPLE! He even remembered us meeting in D.C. I doubt if he does now, but that made a HUGE impression on me. And I didn’t even live in his district!
I’ve no doubt I’ll have more to say later but for now…. Yeah…I think I can feel better about voting for Romney now.
Veepstakes

Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, ‘Meet The VP’ — just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal.
And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!
The timing of the announcement is now set for ‘coming weeks’.
MORE
It was Condi who received two standing ovations at Romney’s Utah retreat a few weeks ago, and everyone left with her name on their lips.
Rice made an extended argument for American leadership in the world.
In recent days, she emailed supporters:
“2012 is perhaps a turning point for the United States.”
“The upcoming elections loom as one of the most important in my lifetime,” she warned. “I’m very often asked to speak about our current foreign policy and the challenges that lie before us. However, we, as a country, are not going to be able to address any of those international challenges unless we first get our domestic house in order.”
Developing…
I have a great deal of admiration for Condoleeza Rice. She is a brilliant woman! However, she has a couple of flaws that would definitely give most conservatives pause… One problem, she’s closely associated with Bush, who we know wasn’t really a conservative, but as modern day presidents go, was a damn sight better than the clown who could be considered a total waste of oxygen. Second problem….she is “‘mildly’ “pro-choice”", a term that denotes approval for the murder of the unborn. This gives me GREAT pause, as I’m sure it would a large number of Christian conservatives. ( And just what does ‘mildly’ mean? Either you are, or you aren’t. Even ‘mildly’ ends up with a dead child.
)
Oddly enough, she has repeatedly said she would NOT run for any office, including the VP slot, so, I have to admit, this Drudge headline has me baffled.
The mental image, though, of her debating Joe Biden, I have to admit, is highly amusing. All she’d have to do is stand there and look at him, and could win hands down. Heh.
Now, if Mitt Romney REALLY wants to win this thing, he should probably start listening to us peons out here in the REAL world. Yes, he is a tad out of touch with conservatives in middle America, but I’m trying not to hold that against him. He pulled himself up by his own bootstraps, used his own brain, which was not muddled by drugs, and made a financially successful life. On the opposite end, the incumbent has done nothing for himself, had things handed to him, and now expects the rest of us to fall in line, and continue handing to him….our money, our liberties, and our lives.
So, if Gov Romney wants OUR input….how about Allen West? He’s a real person, who has been in the real world, and is staunchly conservative! I’ve seen lists from the talking heads, speculating, and his name is never on the list. This speaks volumes of the pundits. They don’t listen to us either.
We had to hold our noses to vote for McCain, and the only reason we did was because he chose a true conservative as his running mate. Romney was not the choice of ANY conservative, so it might be wise on his part to follow McCain’s example and choose someone like West. Most of us are going to vote for him, mainly because we can’t tolerate another 4 years of Obama’s destructive policies, but wouldn’t it be better for him to get the excitement brought by a REAL conservative? I’ve no doubt some who have decided they won’t vote at all would get their butts off the couch and pull the lever for West.
Just a thought!
Psst!
Uh….Mr Boehner, sir? Can I give ya a couple of words?

BIG Day In Wisconsin!
Welp, today is a REALLY big day in the world of politics. Yep…that’s right! It’s Wisconsin’s day to decide if they want to be fiscally responsible, or kowtow to a bunch of socialist union thugs. And yeah, it really IS that simple.
Do the citizens want to go back to the days when the unions ran the state into the ground, financially, to the point that property taxes are more than the property is worth (slight exaggeration), or would they like to see more businesses and jobs come in, and get its citizens back to work? Now, to me, it’s a no brainer. Sadly, there are some in Wisconsin, who have never bothered to look at the facts! Cutting the deficit, adding jobs, about 33,000 (granted, not as many as he would have liked, but looking at the national economy, it’s not surprising), and getting Wisconsin’s fiscal health in order.
Most people with two brain cells to rub together understand what Governor Walker has been trying to do to save the state. I’m afraid there is little sympathy for those who whined about having to pay a bit more for their own health care, and add more of their of their paycheck to their own pensions (out of their salaries, paid by the taxpayers). If those who were destroying the capital, with clean up costs in the several million dollars range, cared anything about their state, and those who actually pay them to do the job they were hired to do, then this would never have been an issue.
Unfortunately, the previous administration handed the state over to the unions, and evidently, they felt entitled to the money that non government worker earned. The ‘you owe me’ mentality’ is why the entire country is in the state it’s in now. The Wisconsin unions mentality during this whole protest and recall election asininity is a glaring example of WHY we need to show restraint in government spending, in a LOT of areas.
Walker’s opponent, Tom Barrett, and his minions, have been busy spreading as many lies as possible, yet there are those in the state who will swallow anything that a Dem will tell them. In this day and age, with the ability to check just about anything put out there, on the internet, you’d think there wouldn’t be so many gullible people…..who vote! Then there was the latest line of caca de toro, proving that no matter what levels the democrats have to stoop, they’ll do it. Lie…cheat…steal….assault!
While REAL Wisconsinites are heading to the polls, then off to their job, the crazies are at the capital again… having an ‘omm fest‘? Seriously? Don’t you people think it’s past time to grow the hell up, take responsibility for yourselves, and your actions, and be productive members of society, giving once in a while, instead of TAKE TAKE TAKE!
By the way….Walker is going to win, and you sh*t for brains, who started all this crap, should foot the bill, instead of the taxpayers having to contribute even more of their hard earned money for YOUR stupidity!
