The Media Silencing….The Media?
KMOV’s Conners Barred From Facebook, Interviews on IRS Controversy
KMOV anchorman Larry Conners has been “advised” by KMOV’s parent company Belo Corp. to not make statements, post on Facebook, or participate in interviews concerning a recent controversy over Facebook comments he made about the Internal Revenue Service.
Conners has hired St. Louis attorney Merle Silverstein. Silverstein issued a letter to media outlets claiming that the corporate order “is the only reason for his silence.”
Hmm…. Seems to me, this would be a news story. Journalism dude is being hammered by the IRS, then interviews the POTUS, and gets hammered by the IRS? Yep…seems like there’s a story there somewhere. What’cha wanna bet he’s one of the few…VERY FEW…in the news biz that leans conservative? And he’s having his own 1st Amendment right of ‘free speech’ being violated? Yep….a bigger story than there was originally.
“Any issue he has with the IRS are personal issues. They have nothing to do with our television station KMOV or him as a journalist,” Mike Valentine, vice president for content at Belo, told the website BuzzFeed earlier this week. “As a news anchor, he owes a duty to our viewers to report in an unbiased manner. His Facebook post and his Twitter posts, as a result, were inappropriate. And we don’t condone personal posts that jeopardize the journalistic nature of our business. It’s really that simple.”
Oh, I dunno Mikey….I’d say that the bias is already there in the “news”. The man mentioning IRS issues on his FB page, likely only seen by locals that follow him, and now it’s national news? Well now, I’d say that YOU, Mikey, have made this a bigger issue than it would have been if you had allowed the man to do his job, and speak his mind. And now, he’s off the air? Very interesting, don’cha think, eh Mikey??
It’s Here…. The United Socialist States!

More Than A Little Disturbing
While I do credit the police for their diligence, I do NOT believe it was necessary to treat innocent citizens like common criminals. Yes, they were searching for a very dangerous piece of trash, but this????
Via Police State USA
WATERTOWN, MA — On Friday, April 19, 2013, during a manhunt for a bombing suspect, police and federal agents spent the day storming people’s homes and performing illegal searches. While it was unclear initially if the home searches were voluntary, it is now crystal clear that they were absolutely NOT voluntary. Police were filmed ripping people from their homes at gunpoint, marching the residents out with their hands raised in submission, and then storming the homes to perform their illegal searches.
This was part of a larger operation that involved total lockdown of the suburban neighbor to Boston. Roads were barricaded and vehicle traffic was prohibited. A No-Fly Zone was declared over the town. People were “ordered” to stay indoors. Businesses were told not to open. National Guard soldiers helped with the lockdown, and were photographed checking IDs of pedestrians on the streets. All the while, police were performing these disgusting house-to-house searches.

Stop The World! I Wanna Get Off!!
Once again, I woke up to a world gone mad. I’m guessing this is going to be the new normal for a while. Insanity has taken over, and we’re all in the asylum!
In recent days, I’ve found out that I’m considered a terrorist. Really? Me? Yep! According to what is being spread to the Army, by the government, I, and many like me, are a danger to the security of the nation. They say it’s the U.S., but I don’t see how that’s possible. Maybe they mean a danger to evil? Hmmm.. At this point in time, the evil is quite wide spread, but wouldn’t being a danger to evil be a good thing? Not if that evil is your own government who thinks you, as an evangelical, is dangerous.
There is something VERY wrong with this scenario.
Our “Fair Share”
I really detest that term, “fair share”. It sounds like a couple of kids squabbling over the last piece of cake. What would be fair? Dividing the cake evenly…both kids get the same size piece! The older one doesn’t get a bigger piece cuz he’s older. The same goes for paying taxes. Just because you make more money that victim B, doesn’t mean you should have to shoulder the bigger burden. What would be “fair” in this scenario? In my opinion, BOTH should pay an equal percentage.
I’ll use 10%. Why? Well, if God doesn’t expect you to tithe more than that, why should you be coughing up more and more of your hard earned money just to support victim B, who, in reality, pays NOTHING! If you make a million dollars, you pay 10%. If you make 20 thousand, you pay 10%. Now THAT is a fair share!
Unfortunately, the government doesn’t see that money as yours, even though you worked to earn it. No, they see it as THEIRS, and they want a WHOLE lot more than a fair share of YOUR earnings, if you are more than ‘comfortable’. What do they do with that money? Well, we know that they waste a HUGE amount on failed programs. It doesn’t work? End it, and use that money where it is truly needed, like on national security.
Do you spend more than you make? You probably learned that bad habit, subconsciously, from the government. They are really lousy at managing money, and should be fired. If your accountant for your business was blowing the companies money on useless items, like say, lavish parties on a regular basis, wouldn’t you give them a very large pink slip? The same goes for the mismanagement of OUR money on the federal level.
If things keep going in the direction they have been for the last few years, it will be darn near impossible for our economy to grow. If you hadn’t noticed, there is a tax on EVERYTHING. Our so called representatives are not doing the job they were hired to do, as laid out in the U.S. Constitution, which, by the way, LIMITS their power. It is not their job to take money from you, to create, and spend trillions on “social programs”. Article I, Section 8, clauses 1-16, lays out exactly what Congress is ALLOWED to do. It’s not all that complicated. Article I, known as the Spending Clause, lays out exactly what Congress is enacted to carry out. Unfortunately for the nation, somewhere along the line, some clown decided the “general welfare” term meant that they could suck the life out of you, and give it to someone who is “in need”. Hence, we have Social Security and Medicare, a MASSIVE drain on the country as a whole. If you want more information on the Enumerated Powers of Congress, I suggest you read, links and all, P/H’s paper.
Our government is busy doing the job of charities, to the detriment of the charities that actually accomplish what they set out to do, getting folks back on their feet. The government doesn’t do that. No, they create a ‘dependent’ class, who contribute nothing to the general well being of their community.
I don’t mind helping those in need. It’s our duty! It is NOT the duty of the government. 100 years ago, there was no income tax, yet our country had all the needed infrastructure. Today? Well, let’s just say we’ve created a monster that must be fed more and more, but more is never enough. We need to put that monster out of our misery, and reform it to a more manageable size. We must return it to the box the Constitution sets forth. No more hand outs. No more supporting countries that don’t like us anyway. No more feeding the beast!
It is beyond past time to reform Social Security and Medicare. It’s time for the younger generation to learn they have to prepare for their own retirement and old age. It is time for the government to do the job it was created to do, instead of what the individual members THINK they should do.
Where Did Your Tax Dollar Go?
Romina Boccia & Curtis Dubay – The Foundry
Americans are waking up today to the worst “case of the Mondays” they’ll have all year: It’s Tax Day.
Most Americans dread Tax Day, and for good reasons. Beyond the huge tab Americans pay to the government, the tax code is so complex that it’s difficult to figure out what we owe to the IRS. This is a pain for taxpayers and a huge drain on the economy.
According to the federal Taxpayer Advocate in its 2012 report, Americans’ cost of complying with today’s complex tax code totaled $168 billion in 2010. That’s almost as large as the impact of the Obama tax hikes in fiscal year 2013, and twice the size of sequestration this year [see chart].
It takes taxpayers 6.1 billion hours—or 51 hours per household—to complete all the required filings. That’s more than six full eight-hour working days per household!
BREAKING NEWS: OBAMA LIES!
Oh, wait…that’s not news. Sorry. Got carried away!
The media won’t expose the truth, so many will continue to believe his lies….about the budget, about Benghazi, about….well, you name it, and he’s lied about it. Is it possible that this narcissist is incapable of telling the truth? I seriously wonder.
I realize politicians lie for a living. This is why most people can’t stand them. We want the unvarnished truth, whether we like it or not. Just tell us the truth! We aren’t children, we are capable of making our own decisions about each issue. And we are smart enough to know that this continuous spending spree can NOT be sustained! Well, at least us grown ups do. The low/no information voters, those ‘you owe me’ types, will not care that their children and grandchildren are being deprived of a prosperous future. Self gratification has put us on this road, and it’s way past time to put a stop to this freight train, and switch tracks!
Obama’s Fake Budget Marketing Exposed
Romina Boccia and Amy Payne – The Foundry
President Obama is marketing his new budget by saying it has “more than $2 in spending cuts for every $1 of new revenue.” Is this true?
In a word, no.
In fact, his spending increases and advertised spending cuts cancel each other out—leaving only a massive tax increase.
The President cancels sequestration’s spending cuts—therefore raising spending—by the same amount that he reduces spending. When that’s done, all that’s left is a $1.1 trillion tax hike.

- The President increases spending by $1.1 trillion by cancelling sequestration. Sequestration, the automatic spending cuts adopted in the Budget Control Act of August 2011, is already in effect. Thus, cancelling these reductions in spending increases spending by $1.1 trillion over 10 years.
- The President reduces spending by $1.1 trillion. The President lists a number of additional spending reductions based on a December offer to Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH). These total about $1.1 trillion and are completely offset by the cancellation of sequestration.
- The President raises taxes by $1.1 trillion. The official total tax increase in President Obama’s budget is available in the Treasury Department’s “Green Book.” Treasury scores the total net tax increase from all President Obama’s tax policies at more than $1.1 trillion over 10 years.
So President Obama’s spending cut claim doesn’t hold up, and Americans get stuck with a $1.1 trillion tax bill. Real math hurts.

What can I say about the most incompetent person who has ever occupied the Oval Office? Instead of surrounding himself with advisers with a modicum of common sense, he has people (?) whispering in his ear how brilliant he is, and no matter what he does, the populace will bow down. Pfft!
budg·et
1.an estimate, often itemized, of expected income and expense for a given period in the future.
This is not a ‘budget’. Looking at these five major problems with the budget, I have to wonder if we are all on the same planet, or if Obama lives in a different realm where all is rainbow farting unicorns? Because there’s no way a rational person would cut our defense even more than it has been, decimating our ability to defend our country.
When it comes right down to it, nothing I see in this budget will do ANYTHING to get us back on the road to prosperity. Quite the contrary! It will drag us down deeper into the socialist pit that D.C. has been creating for many years. Our children, grandchildren, and all future generations are now so deep in debt, they may never see the light of day.
5 Things to Know About the Obama Budget
Amy Payne – The Foundry
President Obama finally released his budget yesterday—more than two months late.
Heritage experts immediately went to work analyzing the mounds of new spending on education, manufacturing, “clean energy,” infrastructure, and small business.
But the President didn’t stop at more of the same failed stimulus and Solyndra-type policies. He also piled on the tax increases—including on seniors, the poor, and the middle class.
Five key things to know about President Obama’s budget:
1. It hikes taxes by $1.1 trillion.
Heritage’s Curtis Dubay says: “There was little doubt that President Obama would propose a huge tax hike in his budget. It is a bit surprising, however, that the total tax increase he proposes is almost double what he claims it to be.”
Dubay explains where all the tax increases come from—including the “Buffett Rule,” capping tax deductions, and hiking the cigarette tax and the death tax.

Clergy carrying symbolic loaves and fishes urge Medicaid expansion in TN
A group of 15 faith leaders from across the state delivered 133 baskets of loaves and fish and a letter Monday calling on Tennessee officials to not abandon Medicaid expansion if the state’s alternative expansion plan is not approved by the federal government.
The letter, which was signed by nearly 100 clergy and faith leaders, called Medicaid expansion “not only the right thing to do, it’s the moral and faithful thing to do.”
I don’t know what Bible these so called ‘faith leaders’ read, but the one I read doesn’t say a damn thing about Medicaid expansion! My first question to them: Instead of spending money on, and carrying all those cheap plastic baskets, that cheezie plastic bread and those ridiculous paper fish (which I’m sure took time to ‘make’) to the seat of government, why weren’t your sorry asses spending that money and time passing out REAL food to those in need…like those who have become homeless thanks to government interference, and massive amounts of spending ‘entitlement’ programs that NO ONE is entitled to?
I don’t recall Caesar passing out any loaves or fishes to the crowd gathered. It is NOT the job of the government to ‘take care of the poor’. It’s YOUR job to minister to their needs, spiritual and physical…as best you can, asking for aid from your ‘flock’ to assist! This is why we tithe, and volunteer our time…to share OUR bounty! Not to have it confiscated from us by Caesar, in whatever amount it chooses, and distribute it to anyone. Or were you not aware of this little tidbit? You are passing off YOUR responsibilities to the government….. I’d suggest you find yourself a new Bible and study up, or a new line of work!
To say I am disgusted would be an understatement…. but then again, I feel disgusted on a regular basis lately!

Obama: ‘I Am Constrained By A System That Our Founders Put In Place’
Ratcheting up pressure for Congress to limit access to guns, President Barack Obama said Wednesday that recent steps by Colorado to tighten its gun laws show “there doesn’t have to be a conflict” between keeping citizens safe and protecting Second Amendment rights to gun ownership.
“I believe there doesn’t have to be a conflict in reconciling these realities,” Obama said in Denver, where he stepped up his call for background checks for all gun purchases and renewed his demand that Congress at least vote on banning assault weapons and limiting access to large-capacity ammunition magazines.
“There doesn’t have to be a conflict between protecting our citizens and protecting our Second Amendment rights,” he said.
If this clown was serious about protecting citizens, he’d secure the damn border! And THEM protecting the citizens has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment, or hunting!
Obama noted that more than 100 days have passed since the shooting rampage that killed 20 first-graders and six adults at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., and reignited the national debate over access to guns.
“Every day that we wait to do something about it even more of our fellow citizens are stolen from our lives by a bullet from a gun. Now the good news is Colorado has already chosen to do something about it,” he said.
Obama also spoke about the people who say the government is coming after their guns.
“You hear some of these quotes: ‘I need a gun to protect myself from the government.’ ‘We can’t do background checks because the government is going to come take my guns away,’ Obama said. “Well, the government is us. These officials are elected by you. They are elected by you. I am elected by you. I am constrained, as they are constrained, by a system that our Founders put in place. It’s a government of and by and for the people.”
In danger of losing congressional momentum on the issue, Obama went to Colorado — which has a deep-rooted hunting tradition and where gun ownership is a cherished right — to use its example and public pressure to prod Congress to act.
I am dumbfounded! It never ceases to amaze me that there are people who actually voted for this clown! The knee jerk reaction of the mentally disturbed Democrats will continue to destroy what those self same Founders did to protect US from THEM! It is all too apparent that way too many in elected office do not understand that document they swore to uphold.
There’s more of his garbage, and the slant of the media, plus video…and teleprompters. Funny how this video doesn’t show the unenthusiastic response of the LEOs which I saw on the news yesterday. Hmmmm….
Gun companies are leaving Colorado. More loss of jobs for the state. The Outdoor Channel will no longer be filming any of their shows in Colorado. Less promotion for the state. Hunters are canceling trips to Colorado. More loss of jobs. Excuse me, but do any of these fools realize there are consequences for their idiocy?
None of the tragedies in Colorado, or in Connecticut, or any other state, were caused by law abiding citizens. If there had been a legally, open or concealed, weapon in any of these place where the mass shootings occurred, then more than likely, some of those people would still be alive. But political correctness, and irrational fear, has constrained our citizens from protecting themselves, and their fellow man, woman, and child.

America’s Poverty Pimps
So, I get the headline….

…then POOF! It vanishes, to be replaced by crazy North Koreans, all decked out in their fancy uniforms, bayonets attached. Lucky for me, I got enough sleep last night, I was able to find the story, from the UK Mail Online no less. Now you DON’T think Obama would allow his minions in the media to tell the truth about this, do you?
The number of Americans living in poverty has spiked to levels not seen since the mid 1960s, classing 20 per cent of the country’s children as poor.
Now, I gotta tell ya, this first paragraph really chaps my hide. Using children? Again? Children don’t have anything to do with the poverty, they are not the ones in poverty, it’s their parents, or caretakers, not the children themselves. Yes, the children do suffer because of Obama’s poverty pimping, but it’s the parents who are responsible for the children, not the government. I really wish they’d get this straight. Kids aren’t able to get jobs, unless they live in Bangladesh or some such place, not in the U.S.
It comes at a time when government spending cuts of $85 billion have kicked in after feuding Democrats and Republicans failed to agree on a better plan for addressing the national deficit.
I wonder why everyone fails to mention that the sequestration was Obama’s idea, and the Republicans called his bluff? Hmmmm… And yes, because it’s SO much more important for the Obamas to take their lavish vacations, investigate the sex life and penis size of New Zealand snails, studying algae in the Hawaiian Islands, and the list goes on and on, ad nauseam. do we really need to fund a robotic squirrel? I mean seriously? While our military is no longer being fed breakfast, Congress has no problem funding some of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard of in my life. Oh wait, there was that item when I was a kid in the paper I asked my dad about….”why do we need to find out why salmon swim upstream?” “Hon”, he said, “I have NO idea. That’s just what government does. It wastes our money, for no good reason.” Well, that short conversation taught me a lot. Nothing has changed since then. And THAT was in the 60s.
The cuts will directly affect 50 million Americans living below the poverty income line and reduce their chances of finding work and a better life.
Here’s a thought! How about we put congress on a budget, allow them to only introduce bills affecting ONE item at a time. Absolutely NO amendments that have nothing to do with issue at hand! I mean, wouldn’t that make more sense than for some yahoo in Podunk Michigan to add some ridiculous spending request for a rubber band museum to the all important, and only reason, for Congress to actually exist, the security of the United States of America? It’s too logical, I know. I’m just a foolish ol’ broad who has had to budget household for many years. I know you can’t spend more money than you earn, but then, I’m dealing with my own money. If I was dealing with someone else’s money, I think I would be even more cautious, but that’s just me.
As you read on in the article, you’ll see that it was private charities that did the most to aid people out of poverty, NOT the federal government, even though there are some federally funding involved, which there shouldn’t be at all. A charity is something people give to from their heart. I don’t think there are too many folks who give to the government from the heart. More like they are being robbed blind to fund a government that is tampering into areas they have no business being in!
Since Obama has taken office, this second time around, it’s my understanding the he signs into being an average 67 regulations a day. I might be off a bit, but not by much. Regulations that are putting businesses, well, out of of business. These are mostly small businesses that cannot afford the new regulations, and those self same businesses that employee a large majority of the American people. Now, tell me, if you have a 100 businesses, with an average of 25 employees, and they all have to shut down thanks to the ever increasing absurd regulations, that’s about 2500 people now out of work. Multiply that by thousands, all across the country, and yes, you are going to have families torn apart due to lack of funds to pay their bills, going on food stamps and whatever aid they can get.
The U.S. Census Bureau puts the number of Americans in poverty at levels not seen since the mid-1960s when President Lyndon B. Johnson launched the federal government’s so-called War on Poverty.
And so, it began. The Democrats supposedly wanted to life people OUT of poverty, when all they did was drive more in to it, on a regular basis, tearing apart the family unit. The number of out of wedlock births have sky rocketed, increasing the chance that those children will continue the cycle of poverty. In a 2010 study, that found that 29 percent of white children are born to unmarried women, 53 percent of Latinos and 73 percent of black children. Who has the highest unemployment rate in this country right now? I don’t think I need to tell you, you’ve heard it enough. In the urban cities, majority black, and majority run by Democrats, the number of unemployed is astronomical, by anyone’s definition. Why? Well, the policies of the poverty pimps, keep those folks on the plantation so they’ll keep voting for them, thinking they’ll get something for nothing, but that nothing is their self respect, and a lack of compassion for their fellow humans, failing education system, that teaches lies to the kids, convincing them they are owed something, and the churches are the biggest failures in these areas.
The answer to the problem? Well, it’s real simple. First, you get the government out of the way. Second, you put the federal government on a spending diet. The purpose of the federal government is laid out quite clearly in the U.S. Constitution. Anything past that, is unconstitutional. For way too long, our supposed representatives have been using that sacred document to wipe their collective hind ends. THIS MUST STOP….NOW!! Repeal all the absurd regulations that Obama and minions have placed on businesses. Safety, yes, paperwork, NO! KILL that damn ObamaCare crap, which is one of the biggest hindrances to small businesses, you know the ones that do most of the hiring. Get the government out of education! PERIOD! No ifs, and or buts! Removed government from the charity business. That also, is NOT their job. Before Johnson stuck his nose in, and decided the way to get blacks to vote Democrat, black families had problems yes, much discrimination going on, but they were better off than they are by today’s financial, and social, standards.
In order for anything to be accomplished, we must first remove the career politicians, on BOTH sides of the aisle! It will be a long road back to prosperity, but it CAN be done. And for the love of all that’s holy, we are NOT all equal! Some have talents that others don’t but we ALL have, or HAD, the equal opportunity to succeed, or fail, on our own merits. Some will succeed, some will not, but if the opportunity is there, and YOU don’t take it, it’s your own damn fault! And for the love of Pete, kill that damn political correctness crap! It’s destroying this nation in ways even I can’t imagine!
Let’s face a hard cold truth! The POTUS lies….a LOT! Congress lies….a LOT! And sadly, way too many buy into their lies, and the media aids in their lies. It’s way past time to return to the intent of citizen legislators. Serve your term, and go your ass back home to a REAL job and the REAL world!
“If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.”
Senator Sessions says “It is time to return to the moral principles of the 1996 welfare reform.” This is true, but I’d take it a step further and say it’s time to return to the moral principles of our foundings! However, restoring the welfare reforms is a good start.
But this administration doesn’t want people to work. Obama and his cronies want people totally dependent on the government, and not self sufficient. He doesn’t care that he’s creating MORE poverty. He doesn’t care about the kids who won’t have a chance to lift themselves up, and stand on their own two feet when they’re adults. He doesn’t care about the poor mother with no skills, acquiring those skills so she can enter the workforce, and have personal pride at her accomplishment. No, Obama loves poverty. And he’s doing all he can to make sure there are as many people as possible impoverished, with his economic policies, so everyone can be equally miserable.
Welfare Reform Is Back
The Foundry
Last summer, the Obama Administration gutted the successful 1996 welfare reform law by offering to waive its work requirements. Now the debate is back, as several Members of Congress are trying to restore the reforms that helped so many out of poverty.
The work requirements were the heart and soul of the historic welfare reform signed by President Bill Clinton. As a result of “workfare,” welfare rolls declined by half within five years, and employment rates among low-income individuals increased.
Some of the biggest winners from workfare were children. Millions of children were lifted out of poverty. In 2003, the nation had the lowest level of poverty among black children in its history.
They THINK They Can Tell US What To Do?
I don’t bloody well think so!!!
Relaxation of US cannabis laws ‘violates UN drug conventions’
Cannabis decriminalisation measures across the United States, including the medical use of marijuana in California, have been sharply criticised by the United Nations, which has warned Washington they violate the international drug conventions.
The International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), which polices the drug treaties, has also warned about the growing public health threat from the “unprecedented surge” in “legal highs” and called for concerted global action to curb the growing trade.
Launching its annual report in London, Raymond Yans, the INCB president, said that the successful ballots in Colorado and Washington to legalise the use of cannabis for recreational purposes and the fact that Massachusetts had recently become the 18th state to allow the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes violate the international drug conventions.
“They also undermine the humanitarian aims of the drug control system and are a threat to public health and wellbeing,” said Yans. He claimed that so-called “medicinal use” initiatives were little more than “a back-door to legalisation for recreational use”.
The INCB has warned the US government that medical cannabis must be properly regulated. “In some US states they are being operated in a way that is completely inappropriate and outside of the conventions,” the report says.
I’ll be perfectly honest…. I don’t think legalizing pot is such a great idea, but if certain states do legalize it, then that’s going to be their problem. I’m sure they’ll find out eventually perhaps they made a mistake. That being said, I don’t recall ANYWHERE in the U.S. Constitution that a foreign body, aka the Useless Nations has any say in what we, and a sovereign nation do. Nope. Nowhere!
Now, if there are other countries who want to allow the UN to order them around, that’s their business. Makes ‘em look stupid and incompetent to run their own countries, but hey…it’s still their own business. WE, The People of the United States, on the other hand, do NOT wish a bunch of feckless, foreign, corrupt, weasels telling us what we can, and cannot, do. We have enough of those already in D.C., thank you very much.
So, as far as I’m concerned, the Useless Numbuts can kiss my red, white, and blue hind end!! Then they can shove it where the sun don’t shine! They’d do well to remember what Yamamoto supposedly said, and likely did not, but true none the less: There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Destroying Even MORE Jobs
We’ve had this conversation before, several times. The first I can recall was back in 2007, when the ‘minimum wage’ was raised to $7.25, made mention of it in 2008, when the Dem Congress was already spending us into oblivion, Bush was letting them. Just last year, we had this discussion as well. I’m sure there were others between those, but that will do for the time being. You see, this is what you get when you have incompetent boobs running the show….people who have never run a business, has no idea how things work in the REAL WORLD, and most likely never worked for minimum wage in their lives.
I see no point in repeating everything I’ve said previously, other than the lack of common sense in D.C. is mind boggling, and no one was ever meant to support a family on ‘minimum wage’! IMHO, the federally mandated minimum wage should be done away with entirely, and let companies decide what an employee is worth. If they suck, then they will be fired, or paid less than an employee who actually does the job required of them. It’s not that complicated. Government just makes it so.
Busting 5 Myths About the Minimum Wage
The Foundry
When someone says “minimum wage,” what comes to mind?
Do you think of teenagers flipping burgers? Or a single parent trying to feed several kids?
While President Obama and other proponents of a higher minimum wage want you to visualize that single parent, the truth is that a burger-flipping teenager or college student with a part-time job paints a much more accurate picture of the minimum wage in America.
In his State of the Union address, President Obama called for an increase in the minimum wage from $7.25 to $9 an hour. Today, Democrats in Congress are arguing that the President didn’t go far enough, proposing an increase to more than $10 an hour.
Minimum-wage increases reduce the number of entry-level minimum-wage jobs available—actually hurting many of the workers proponents want to help.
And who are these workers?
The President and others keep going back to five key myths about minimum-wage workers. Heritage labor expert James Sherk has already debunked them all.
You Might Live In A Country Founded By Geniuses……
……BUT RUN BY IDIOTS IF:
….you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for being in the country illegally.
….you have to get your parent’s permission to go on a field trip or take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion.
….the only school curriculum allowed to explain how we got here is evolution, but the government stops a $15 million construction project to keep a rare spider from evolving to extinction.
….you have to show identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book, but not to vote on who runs the government.
….the government wants to ban stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines with more than ten rounds, but gives 20 F-16 jet fighters to the crazy new leaders in Egypt.
….in the largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not a 24-ounce soda because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat.
….an 80-year-old woman can be stripped searched by the TSA but a woman in a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched.
….your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more.
….a seven year old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher cute, but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable.
….children are forcibly removed from parents who discipline them with spankings while children of addicts are left in filth and drug infested homes.
….hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government intrusion, while not working is rewarded with EBT cards, WIC checks, Medicaid, subsidized housing, and free cell phones.
….the government’s plan for getting people back to work is to incentivize NOT working with 99 weeks of Unemployment checks and no requirement to prove they applied but can’t find work.
….you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest big screen TV while your neighbor buys iPhones, TVs and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage.
….being stripped of the ability to defend yourself makes you more safe according to the government.

A Declaration Against Citizens?
DHS built domestic surveillance tech into Predator drones
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has customized its Predator drones, originally built for overseas military operations, to carry out at-home surveillance tasks that have civil libertarians worried: identifying civilians carrying guns and tracking their cell phones, government documents show.
The documents provide more details about the surveillance capabilities of the department’s unmanned Predator B drones, which are primarily used to patrol the United States’ northern and southern borders but have been pressed into service on behalf of a growing number of law enforcement agencies including the FBI, the Secret Service, the Texas Rangers, and local police.
Homeland Security’s specifications for its drones, built by San Diego-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, say they “shall be capable of identifying a standing human being at night as likely armed or not,” meaning carrying a shotgun or rifle. They also specify “signals interception” technology that can capture communications in the frequency ranges used by mobile phones, and “direction finding” technology that can identify the locations of mobile devices or two-way radios.
Is this a declaration of “war” of the federal government on the American citizens? Who gave DHS the authority to use such technology on U.S. citizens? Claiming this will be to track criminals and invaders on the border is all well and good, but these drones can also track law abiding citizens as well. Publius gives us a simple way of learning the enumerated powers of Congress, and of the POTUS. Anything past those listed in the Constitution are unlawful. Giving any of the alphabets the power to spy on us is NOT Constitutional.
Concern about domestic use of drones is growing, with federal legislation introduced last month that would establish legal safeguards, in addition to parallel efforts underway from state and local lawmakers. The Federal Aviation Administration recently said that it will “address privacy-related data collection” by drones.
I think we all recognize the fact that this government is not concerned with privacy issues. Our liberties have been eroded, bit by bit, over the years, especially with this administration. The U.S. was founded as a Constitutional Republic, but is no longer Constitutional, nor a Republic. We are on the verge of complete collapse of what was once the most free nation on the planet. The idea that my government would spy on me, know whether or not I was carrying a weapon for my own protection, tracking me through my phone, is stepping way beyond the bounds of the powers WE granted by the Constitution. I’m no expert on the Constitution, but I would think this would be complete violation of the 4th Amendment:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. (emphasis mine)
It’s my opinion that having a drone watch your every move, is a violation of our God given right to be secure in our person. I don’t remember ever reading in our Constitution that the Federal government had been given the power to spy on our every move.

Although CBP’s unmanned Predator aircraft are commonly called drones, they’re remotely piloted by FAA-licensed operators on the ground. They can fly for up to 20 hours and carry a payload of about 500 lbs.
Why would the FAA need to have a “payload of about 500 lbs”? Are they planning on using them against American citizens?
